Description
Die Herstellung des Trimethylphosphiniminodimethyl-methylen-phosphorans der Formel
ist aus H. Schmidbaur und H.-J. Füller, Angew. Chem. 88 (1976), S. 541 bekannt. Es wurde nun gefunden, dass sich diese Verbindung mit Verbindungen verschiedener Metalle zu neuen und technisch wertvollen Doppelylid-Komplexen von Metallen umsetzen lässt.
Im einzelnen betrifft die Erfindung ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Doppelylid-Komplexen von Metallen, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man Trimethyl-phosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran der Formel
mit Verbindungen der Metalle Nickel, Palladium, Platin, Gold, Zink, Cadmium, Aluminium, Gallium, Indium, Thallium, Magnesium oder Lithium umsetzt.
Die Erfindung ist vorzugsweise dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man
a) als Metallverbindungen [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P][tief]2MX[tief]2, MX[tief]2, [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P][tief]2Ni(CH[tief]3)X, [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P][tief]2Ni(CH[tief]3)[tief]2, [(CH[tief]3)[tief]2AuX][tief]2, LiR, M'R[tief]2 oder M''R[tief]3, wobei M für Ni, Pd oder Pt, X für Cl, Br oder J, M' für Mg, Zn oder Cd, M'' für Al, Ga, In oder Tl und R für CH[tief]3, C[tief]2H[tief]5, C[tief]3H[tief]7 oder C[tief]4H[tief]9 stehen, einsetzt.
b) im Falle der Herstellung von Metall-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M für Ni, Pd oder Pt steht, Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit Bis(trimethylphosphin)-nickel, -palladium- oder -platin-dichlorid in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 10° bis 110°C umsetzt.
c) im Falle der Herstellung von Metall-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M' für Mg, Zn oder Cd steht,
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit MgR[tief]2, ZnR[tief]2 oder CdR[tief]2, wobei R für CH[tief]3 oder C[tief]2H[tief]5 steht, in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 10° bis 110°C bis zum Nachlassen der Gasentwicklung unter Rühren umsetzt.
d) im Falle der Herstellung von Dimethylgold-[nitrido-bis(dimethyl-phosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit Bis[dimethylgold(III)-chlorid] in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 10° bis 110°C umsetzt.
e) im Falle der Herstellung von Dimethyl-metall-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M'' für Al, Ga, In oder Tl steht,
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit M''R[tief]3, wobei R für CH[tief]3 oder C[tief]2H[tief]5 steht, in einem
inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 0 bis 110°C bis zum Nachlassen der Gasentwicklung unter Rühren umsetzt.
f) im Falle der Herstellung von Lithium-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit n-Butyllithium in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 0 bis 110°C bis zum Nachlassen der Gasentwicklung umsetzt.
g) als intertes organisches Lösemittel Diethylether, Benzol, Toluol, o-, m-, p-Xylol, Dioxan oder Cyclohexan einsetzt.
Ferner umfasst die Erfindung Metall-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M für Ni, Pd, Pt, Mg, Zn oder Cd steht und Dimethylmetall-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
Die Herstellung der Doppelylid-Komplexe des Nickels, Palladiums, Platins und Golds erfolgt im Sinne einer Umylidierungsreaktion unter Abscheidung von Bis-trimethyl-phosohoranyliden-ammoniumchlorid und ggf. Freisetzung von Trimethylphosphin nach folgenden Reaktionsgleichungen:

II: M = Pt
IIa: M = Pd

Die Verbindungen I, II und III bilden gelbe bzw. farblose Kristalle, die in organischen Lösemitteln gut löslich sind. Die Ausbeuten der Ansätze liegen um 90% der Theorie.
In den Massenspektren werden die Molekülionen mit hoher Intensität beobachtet. Größere Massen treten nicht auf, so dass eine weitere Aggregation der Komplexe unwahrscheinlich ist.
Übereinstimmend wird durch [hoch]1H- und [hoch]31P-NMR-Spektren bewiesen, dass bei I und II in Lösung nur hochsymmetrische Moleküle vorliegen, in denen die vier (CH[tief]3)[tief]2PCH[tief]2-Gruppen jeweils strukturäquivalent sind. Bei III sind entsprechend die beiden CH[tief]3Au-Gruppen und wieder die beiden (CH[tief]3)[tief]2PCH[tief]2-Gruppen äquivalent. Die Platinverbindung II zeigt in den [hoch]1H-Spektren die Wechselwirkung dieser
Kerne mit [hoch]195Pt, wodurch die starke kovalente Bindung des Liganden an das Zentralatom besonders deutlich wird. Die Komplexe sind somit als echte metallorganische Verbindungen anzusprechen.
Die Struktur der Verbindung I wurde durch eine vollständige Röntgenstrukturanalyse bewiesen.
Magnesium-, Zink- und Cadmiumalkyle ergeben mit Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran unter Alkanentwicklung direkt die 1:2 Komplexe gemäß Gleichung 3):

Trimethylgallium setzt sich gemäß Gleichung 4) zu einem 1:1-Addukt um, das beim Erhitzen unter Abspaltung von Methan den Doppelylid-Komplex VII ergibt.

Trimethylthallium liefert analog den entsprechenden Doppelylid-Komplex VIII, Schmp. 116°C (Zers.). Hier tritt beim Arbeiten bei Raumtemperatur die Vorstufe des einfachen Addukts nicht auf, vielmehr wird sofort gemäß Gleichung 5) Methan entwickelt:

Die Al- und In-Verbindungen reagieren analog. Lithiumalkyl reagiert analog gemäß Gleichung 6):

In etherischer Lösung liegt vermutlich das Solvat der Formel
vor (R=CH[tief]3, C[tief]2H[tief]5 etc.).
Beispiel 1:
Nickel-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (I)
0,76 g Bis-trimethylphosphin-nickeldichlorid [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P][tief]2 NiCl[tief]2 (2,61 mmol) werden in 30 ml Benzol suspendiert und 1,73 g Trimethyl-phosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran (10,5 mmol) zugesetzt. Nach 5 h Rühren wird vom abgeschiedenen Bis-trimethylphosphoranyliden-ammoniumchlorid filtriert, mit wenig Benzol nachgewaschen und das Filtrat i. Vak. vom freigesetzten Trimethylphosphin und vom Lösemittel befreit. Der verbleibende gelbe Rückstand kann aus Toluol/n-Pentan [50/50] kristallisiert
oder bei 105°C/10[hoch]-4 Torr sublimiert werden. Ausbeute 0,95 g (I) (94%). Gelbe Kristalle, Schmp. 230°C (unter teilweiser Zersetzung).

Beispiel 2:
Platin-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (II)
Analog Beispiel 1 werden aus 1,20 g Bis-trimethylphospinplatindichlorid [(CH[tief]3)[tief]P][tief]2PtCl[tief]2 (2,88 mmol) und 1,90 g Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran (11,5 mmol) 1,45 g (II) erhalten (Ausbeute 91%). Weiße Kristalle, Sublimationstemperatur 120°C/10[hoch]-4 Torr, Schmp. 233°C (Zersetzung).

Die Nebenprodukte der Beispiele 1-3 wurden IR- und NMR-spektroskopisch identifiziert. Die Ausbeute an [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3PNP(CH[tief]3)[tief]3]Cl war jeweils praktisch quantitativ.
Beispiel 4:
Zink-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (IV)
0,615 g Zinkdiethyl (5 mmol) werden in 20 ml Benzol gelöst und mit 1,65 g Trimethyl-phosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran (10 mmol) versetzt. Die klare Reaktionslösung wird bei 20°C bis zum Nachlassen der Gasentwicklung gerührt (ca. 12 h) und dann i. Vak. vom Lösemittel befreit. Das abgespaltene Gas erweist sich gaschromatographisch als Ethan. Das Rohprodukt wird durch Destillation gereinigt. Sdp.[tief]0,1 110°C, Schmp. 75-77°C.
Ausbeute: 2,08 g IV (98%), farblose, weiche Kristalle, löslich in aprotischen, organischen Lösemitteln, empfindlich gegen Oxydation und Hydrolyse.

Beispiel 5:
Cadmium-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (V)
Analog Beispiel 4 entstehen aus 1,0 g Cadmiumdimethyl (7,0 mmol) und 2,3 g Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran (13,9 mmol) in 20 ml Benzol 3,1 g (V) (Ausbeute: 88,5%). Nebenprodukt ist Methan. Sdp.[tief]0,1 120°C, Schmp. 86-88°C. Eigenschaften wie IV, leicht gelblich.

Beispiel 6:
Magnesium-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (VI)
Zu einer Lösung von 1,4 g Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran (8,50 mmol) in 10 ml Benzol wird bei 20°C eine Dioxanlösung bekannten Gehaltes an Magnesium-diethyl-dioxanat zugegeben (4,25 mmol). Schon bei 20°C, schneller beim Erhitzen am Rückfluß, tritt Abspaltung von Ethan ein, die nach 25 h beendet ist. Nach Abziehen der Lösemittel wird der Rückstand destilliert, Sdp. 128-130°C/10[hoch]-4 Torr. Ausbeute: 1,36 g VI (90,7%), Schmp. 71°C. Außerordentlich reaktive, zerfließliche Substanz, die zur C,H-Analyse nicht einwiegbar war. Farblos, raucht stark an der Luft.

Berechnet: Mg 6.89
Gefunden: Mg 7.01 und 6.92
Molmasse: M[hoch]+ = 352 (MS).
Beispiel 7:
Dimethylgallium-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (VII)
2,26 g Trimethylgalliumtherat (12,0 mmol) werden in 20 ml Ether gelöst und auf 0°C gekühlt. Auf Zugabe einer ebenfalls auf 0°C gekühlten Lösung von 1,98 g Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran (12,9 mmol) in 10 ml Ether tritt keine Gasentwicklung ein. Unter Rühren wird im Laufe von 2 h auf 20°C gebracht, das Lösemittel i. Vak. entfernt und der Rückstand aus Toluol/Pentan [50/50] durch Abkühlen auf -78°C kristallisiert. Ausbeute: 3,05 g (90,8% d. Th.) [(Trimethylphosphinimino)dimethylphosphoniummethylid]-trimethylgallium.
Farblose, wachsige Kristalle, stark luftempfindlich.
Schmp 27°C (Zersetzung).
[hoch]1H-NMR (in Benzol bei 25°C, TMS ext.): kleines Delta(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P 0.98 ppm, d, 9H, J(HCP) 13.1 Hz; kleines Delta(CH[tief]3)[tief]2P 1.34, d, 6H, J(HCP) 13.9; kleines Delta CH[tief]2 0.53, d, 2H, J(HCP) 17.2; kleines DeltaCH[tief]3Ga - 0.03, s, 9H.

Berechnet: C 38.61 H 9.36
Gefunden: C 37.90 H 9.12
2,5 g des Addukts (8,93 mmol) werden in 10 ml Benzol 2 h am Rückfluß erhitzt, wobei Methan abgespalten wird, und das Lösemittel anschließend i. Vak. entfernt. Der dabei verbleibende gelbliche Rückstand wird durch Sublimation bei 65°C/0,1 Torr gereinigt, wobei farblose Kristalle entstehen, Schmp. 70°C, Ausbeute: 2,28 g VII (96,7%)

Berechnet: C 36.40 H 8.40 N 5.31
Gefunden: C 35.8 H 8.58 N 4.91
Molmasse: M[hoch]+-15 = 248 ([hoch]69 Ga, MS).
Beispiel 8:
Dimethylthallium-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (VIII)
1,92 g Trimethylthallium (7,70 mmol) werden in 30 ml Ether bei 20°C mit 1,27 g Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran (7,70 mmol) umgesetzt. Es wird sofort gaschromatographisch nachweisbares Methangas entwickelt. Nach 24 h ist die Gasabspaltung beendet und das Produkt kann nach Abziehen des Lösemittels aus Toluol/Pentan [50/50] kristallisiert werden.
Ausbeute: 2,48 g VIII (81%). Farblose Kristalle,
Schmp. 116°C (Zersetzung), kaum luftempfindlich.

Berechnet: C 24.11 H 5.56
Gefunden: C 24.8 H 5.18
Molmasse: M[hoch]+-15 = 384 ([hoch]205Tl, MS).
Beispiel 9:
Lithium-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] (IX)
Eine etherische Lösung von Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran reagiert bei Raumtemperatur mit 1 Äquivalent n-Butyllithium unter Entwicklung 1 Äquivalents
n-Butan. Der dabei entstehende Lithium-Komplex IX bleibt in Lösung und kann in dieser Form weiterverwendet werden. Seine Isolierung ist wegen des wechselnden Solvatgehaltes nicht vorteilhaft.

a) Alle Verbindungen gelöst in Benzol und gemessen bei 35°C rel. ext. TMS bzw. H[tief]3PO[tief]4. Kleines Delta-Werte in ppm, J-Werte in Hz. - Als "J(HCP)-Wert" ist vereinfachend N=
für die vorliegenden (A[tief]nX)[tief]2-Spinsysteme angegeben (n = 2,3). - M = [hoch]195Pt, [hoch]113Cd, [hoch]205Tl.
b) {[hoch]1H} in Benzol-d[tief]6 bei 37°C. Kleines Delta rel. C[tief]6D[tief]6 umgerechnet auf TMS. - Bei kleines Delta CH[tief]3 und kleines Delta CH[tief]2 liegen AXX'-Systeme vor. Für J(PC) ist der Abstand der intensivsten äußeren Linien angegeben.
Claims (12)
1) Verfahren zur Herstellung von Doppelylid-Komplexen von Metallen, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Trimethyl-phosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoren der Formel
mit Verbindungen der Metalle Nickel, Palladium, Platin, Gold, Zink, Cadmium, Aluminium, Gallium, Indium, Thallium, Magnesium oder Lithium umsetzt.
2) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man als Metallverbindungen [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P][tief]2MX[tief]2, MX[tief]2, [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P][tief]2Ni(CH[tief]3)X, [(CH[tief]3)[tief]3P][tief]2Ni(CH[tief]3)[tief]2, [(CH[tief]3)[tief]2AuX][tief]2, LiR, M'R[tief]2 oder M''R[tief]3, wobei M für Ni, Pd oder Pt, X für Cl, Br oder J, M' für Mg, Zn oder Cd, M'' für Al, Ga, In oder Tl und R für CH[tief]3, C[tief]2H[tief]5, C[tief]3H[tief]7 oder C[tief]4H[tief]9 stehen, einsetzt.
3) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man im Falle der Herstellung von Metall-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M für Ni, Pd oder Pt steht, Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit Bis(trimethylphonsphin)-nickel, -palladium- oder -platin-dichlorid in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 10° bis 110°C umsetzt.
4) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man im Falle der Herstellung von Metall-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M' für Mg, Zn oder Cd steht,
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit MgR[tief]2, ZnR[tief]2 oder CdR[tief]2, wobei R für CH[tief]3 oder C[tief]2H[tief]5 steht, in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 10 bis 110°C bis zum Nachlassen der Gasentwicklung unter Rühren umsetzt.
5) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man im Falle der Herstellung von Dimethylgold-[nitrido-bis(dimethyl-phosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit Bis[dimethylgold(III)-chlorid] in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 10 bis 110°C umsetzt.
6) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man im Falle der Herstellung von Dimethylmetall-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M'' für Al, Ga, In oder Tl steht,
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit M''R[tief]3, wobei R für CH[tief]3 oder C[tief]2H[tief]5 steht, in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 0 bis 110°C bis zum Nachlassen der Gasentwicklung unter Rühren umsetzt.
7) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man im Falle der Herstellung von Lithium-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
Trimethylphosphinimino-dimethyl-methylen-phosphoran mit n-Butyllithium in einem inerten organischen Lösemittel bei Temperaturen von 0 bis 110°C bis zum Nachlassen der Gasentwicklung umsetzt.
8) Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 3 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man als inertes organisches Lösemittel Diethylether, Benzol, Toluol, o-, m-, p-Xylol, Dioxan oder Cyclohexan einsetzt.
9) Metall-bis[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M für Ni, Pd, Pt, Mg, Zn oder Cd steht.
10) Dimethylmetall-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
worin M für Au, Al, Ga, In oder Tl steht.
11) Lithium-[nitrido-bis(dimethylphosphoniummethylid)] der Formel
12) Verwendung eines Doppelylid-Komplexes gemäß Anspruch 9, 10 oder 11 als Katalysator oder Kokatalysator zur Polymerisierung von Olefinen.
