Description
Die Erfindung betrifft neue und wertvolle Fluorkohlenstoffe und insbesondere Verbindungen, die Schwefel und Fluoralkylgruppen
enthalten. Eine bevorzugte Klasse von Verbindungen gemäß der Erfindung sind Fluorkohlenstoff enthaltende Verbindungen,
die verschiedene Träger öl- und wasserabweisend machen, so daß deren öl- und Wasserabweisung besser und abriebfester ist,
als es bisher möglich war.
Die Verbindungen gemäß der Erfindung sind sekundäre (twin-tailed) Alkohole der Formel

Atome als Kohlenstoffatome anwesend sind, dies an Kohlenstoffatome gebundene Sauerstoffatome sind, während die restlichen
Elemente des Restes Kohlenstoffatome und Pluoratome sind und die Gerüststruktur eines solchen fluoraliphatischen
Restes geradkettig oder verzweigtkettig ist. Beispiele für Gruppen Rf sind CP^(CP2) -,(CP^)2CP(CP2) - und (CP^)2CP0(CP2 )y-,
worin y eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis 14 ist.
Als Ausgangsmaterialien für die Herstellung der Verbindungen gemäß der Erfindung werden aus der DT-OS 2 018 461 bekannte
Epoxide der Formel

verwendet, in denen Rf die oben angegebene Bedeutung hat, und
diese Epoxide werden aus einem bekannten fluorierten Mercaptan der Formel Rf(CHo)nSH erhalten. Solche Mercaptane sind aus den
US-PS 3 5^4 663, 3 172 910 und 3 088 849 bekannt.
Der sekundäre, Fluoralkyl und Schwefel enthaltende Alkohol gemäß der Erfindung, [Rf(CHg)nSCH2J2CHOH, kann leicht aus dem
oben angegebenen Fluoralkylepoxid hergestellt werden, indem man dieses nach dem folgenden Reaktionsschema I weiter mit dom Fluor
alkylmercaptan umsetzt, oder indem man 2 Mol des Mercaptans mit 1 Mol Epichlorhydrin nach dem folgenden Reaktionsschema II umsetzt,

Die Umsetzung I wird mit Vorteil bei einer Temperatur von etwa O0C
bis 8o°C, vorzugsweise unter Verwendung eines Lösungsmittels als Reaktionsmedium, wie Äthanol oder 2-Propanol, und einer Spur Base,
wie Natriumhydroxid oder Natriumäthoxid, durchgeführt. Die Umsetzung
II wird bei etwa O0C bis 800C in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel,
wie Äthanol oder 2-Propanol, das ein basisches Material, wie Natriumhydroxid, Kaliumhydroxid oder dergl., in ausreichender
Menge, um das als Nebenprodukt gebildete HCl zu neutralisieren, zugemischt enthält, durchgeführt. Das folgende Beispiel
veranschaulicht eine solche Herstellung.
Ein 200-ml-Kolben mit Rührer, Kühler und Zugabetrichter wird mit
20 ml Äthanol und 53,0 g (0,1 Mol) CgP^CHgCHgSH beschickt. Diesem
Gemisch wird langsam eine Lösung von 2,0 g (0,05 Mol) NaOH in 50 ml Äthanol zugesetzt, und das Gemisch wird JO Minuten gerührt.
4,62 g (0,05 Mol) Epichlorhydrin werden mittels des Zugabetrichters
tropfenweise zugesetzt, und Reaktionswärme wird bemerkt. Nach Beendigung der Zugabe wird das Gemisch 1 Stunde am
Rückfluß gekocht und dann gekühlt. Die Masse wird in 1,1,2-Trichlor
1,2,2-trifluoräthan als Lösungsmittel aufgenommen, und Salz wird
abfiltriert. Durch Abtrennen der Lösungsmittel auf dem Dampfbad erhält man 52,1 g (9'-$) eines weißen kristallinen Produktes vom
F 78 - 800C der Formel (C F1

Die beschriebenen sekundären Alkohole gemäß der Erfindung haben zwei dicht beieinander liegende stark fluorierte Ketten und können
in reaktive Moleküle, wie Harze, Polymere, Isocyanate usw., eingebaut
werden. Bei Verwendung der Alkohole gemäß der Erfindung können je funktionelle Stelle doppelt so viele fluorierte Ketten
als bei Verwendung bekannter fluorierter Alkohole eingeführt werden; d.h. für die gleiche Anzahl eingeführter fluorierter Ketten
bleiben mehr reaktive Stellen für andere erwünschte Umsetzungen, wie eine Vernetzung, frei..
Der sekundäre Alkohol, [Rf(CHg)nSCHg]2CHOH, ist ein Vorläufer
für Derivate, die besonders wertvoll sind, um Fasersubstrate öl- und wasserabweisend zu machen, und sich auch als Surfaktants,
Schutzüberzüge, Eindickungsmittel, Haarsprayzusätze und druckempfindliche Klebstoffe eignen. Diese Derivate haben die allgemeine
Formel:

in der R ein Rest mit 2 bis J>0 Kohlenstoffatomen, der frei ist
von nicht-aromatisch ungesättigten Gruppen, ist und zwar ein unsubstituierter Kohlenwasserstoffrest, ein alkoxysubstituierter
oder chlorsubstituierter Kohlenwasserstoffrest oder ein Rest der Struktur, die derjenigen, die bei der Umsetzung eines
Kohlenwasserstoffisocyanats oder eines alkoxysubstituierten
oder chlorsubstituierten Kohlenwasserstoffisocyanats mit dem reaktiven Wasserstoff eines Hydrocarbylalkohols, Hydrocarbylmercaptans,
Hydrocarbylphenols, Hydrocarbylthiophenols, einer
Hydrocarbylcarbonsäure oder eines Hydrocarbylamins entsteht, entspricht, ist; W -NCO, -NHCONR'R1, -NHCOOR1 oder -NHCOSR1,

Gruppe sind, ist; m eine ganze Zahl von 1 bis ;5j ρ eine ganze
Zahl von 0 bis 5 und ra + ρ 2 bis 6 ist.
Die Urethanderivate der obigen Formel eignen sich insbesondere
zum Modifizieren fasriger, poröser und zusammenhängender Oberflächen,
wie solchen von Papier, Textilien, Glas, Holz, Leder, Pell, Asbest, Ziegeln, Beton, Metallen, Keramik, Plastiks, gestrichenen
Oberflächen, Schwämmen und Gips. Die bevorzugten Träger für eine solche Modifizierung sind Papier, Textilien und
Leder. Besonders wertvoll ist neben den Vorteilen, die die öl-
und Wasserabweisung und die Schmutzabweisung durch einen Überzug
aus solchen Addukten ergibt, die bessere Abriebfestigkeit von mit diesen Addukten behandelten Oberflächen.
Die erste Stufe der Herstellung des Urethanharzes ist die Umsetzung
des sekundären Alkohols mit einer äquimolaren Menge an organischem Isocyanat, vorzugsweise einem Polyisocyanat und insbesondere
einem Diisocyanate Typische verwendbare Isocyanate sind:

Wenn das Isocyanat ein Polyisocyanat ist, wird das Derivat weiter
mit einer organischen Verbindung mit einem Aktivwasserstoffatom in ausreichender Menge, um mit freien Isocyanatgruppen zu reagieren,
umgesetzt. Beispiele für Verbindungen mit Aktivwasserstoffatomen, die sich für eine solche Umsetzung eignen, sind Alkohole,

Aus den sekundären Pluoralkylalkoholen gemäß der Erfindung hergestellte
Urethanharze zeigen eine überraschende Überlegenheit
gegenüber entsprechenden Harzen, die aus bekannten Alkohlen hergestellt
sind, dies wird durch die folgenden Beispiele 2 bis 5 veranschaulicht. In diesen Beispielen wird als Polyisocyanat
ein Aryldiisocyanat verwendet.
Einer Lösung von 5,5 g (0,0315 Mol) 2,4-Toluylendiisocyanat in
40 ml CH^CCl-, werden unter Rühren bei Raumtemperatur 35,5 S
(0,0314 Mol) des fluorierten Alkohols von Beispiel 1 und anschließend 1 Tropfen üblicher Urethankatalysator (beispielsweise
M & T Chemicals "T-9") zugesetzt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird 1/2
Stunde auf 25 - 440C und dann 2 Stunden auf 44 bis 500C erhitzt.
Dann wird eine Lösung von 2,96 g (0,0315 Mol) Phenol in 10 ml CH,CC1., zugesetzt, und das Reaktionsgemisch wird 1 Stunde auf
50 bis 800C erwärmt. Dann wird die Lösung mit CH^CCl^ bis zu einer
Peststoffkonzentration von 25$ verdünnt, und wenige Tropfen
Methanol werden zugesetzt, um Spuren von nicht-umgesetztem Isocyanat
von dem Produkt zu entfernen. Pur das Produkt wird die •folgende Struktur angenommen:

Beispiel 2 (b)
Das Verfahren von Beispiel 2 (a) wird durchgeführt mit der Abweichung,
daß anstelle von Phenol Methanol als der Aktivwasserstoff enthaltende Reaktant verwendet wird. Man erhält ein Harz,

Beispiel 3 (a)
Das harzartige Reaktionsprodukt von (a) des sekundären Alkohols gemäß der Erfindung, (b) Trimethylolpropan und (c) 2,4-Toluylendiisocyanat
wird wie folgt hergestellt:

Einer Lösung von 16,5 g (0,094 Mol) 2,4-Toluylendiisocyanat,
10 ml Äthylacetat und 1 Tropfen Stannokatalysator (M & T Chemical's T-9) werden unter Rühren 4,2 g (0,0315 Mol) Trimethylolpropan
zugesetzt. Das Gemisch wird für die nächsten 2 Stunden zum Rückfluß erwärmt. Dann werden 35 g (0,0315 Mol)
des sekundären Alkohols von Beispiel 1, C(CF5J2CP(CP2JgCgH^SCH2J2CHOH, zusammen mit 100 ml A'thylacetat
zugesetzt. Nach 3 Stunden bei 40 bis 500C trennt sich das Reaktionsgemisch
in zwei Schichten. Die obere Schicht zeigt bei der Infrarotanalyse kein Fluor und wird verworfen. Das Reaktionsprodukt
(Bodenschicht) mit funktioneilen Gruppen -NCO ist als solches nicht nur für weitere Umsetzungen, sondern auch für
die Behandlung von Leder, um dieses wasser- und ölabweisend zu machen, verwendbar.
Beispiel 3 (t>)
Nach dem Verfahren von Beispiel 3 (a) mit der Abweichung Jedoch,
daß anstelle des sekundären Alkohols 16,7 g (0,0315 Mol) des Mercaptans (CF,)2CF(CF2JgCHgCHgSH verwendet werden, wird ein
harzartiges Reaktionsprodukt hergestellt.
Beispiel 3 (c)
Nach dem Verfahren von Beispiel 3 (a) mit der Abweichung Jedoch,
daß anstelle des sekundären Alkohols 20,5 g (0,0315 Mol) des Alkohols (CP^)2CF(CF2)7C0NHC2H^CH verwendet werden, wird ein harzartiges
Reaktionsprodukt hergestellt.
Die obigen Produkte werden mit CH^CCl, bis zu einem Feststoffgehalt
von 0,8$ verdünnt, und das so erhaltene Mittel wird auf auf
Wildleder verarbeitete Schweinehaut aufgesprüht. Die erzielte öl- und Wasserabweisung ist wie folgt (das Besprühen erfolgt gemäß
AATCC"Standard Test Method 52-1952 der American Association
of Textile Chemists and Colorists, und die Olabweisungsbewertung erfolgt nach der "3M-Method", wie sie in der US-PS 3 304 378 beschrieben

Die Proben werden 10-mal kräftig - zuerst vertikal und dann horizontal - mit einer Faserbürste, wie sie für Fußböden verwendet
wird, abgerieben.
Die aus dem Alkohol gemäß der Erfindung erhaltenen Produkte (Beispiele 2a, 2b, 2c und 3a) sind klar überlegen, d.h. sie ergeben
ausgezeichnete Abweisung sowohl ursprünglich als auch nach Abrieb. Das Produkt von Beispiel 2 entspricht der US-PS 3 398 182
(Claim 4), in der Harze beschrieben werden, von denen gesagt wird, daß sie besonders gute Abriebfestigkeit besitzen. Die obige Tabelle
läßt die Überlegenheit der Verbindungen gemäß der Erfindung gegenüber diesen bekannten Verbindungen erkennen.
Aus den sekundären Alkoholen gemäß der Erfindung hergestellte
Urethanharze ergeben ebenfalls wesentliche und unerwartete Eigenschaften bei verschiedenen Anwendungsbedingungen, wie sie bei
ihrer Verwendung in der Praxis auftreten können. Dies wird durch die Beispiele 4 und 5 veranschaulicht.
In drei getrennten Herstellungsverfahren werden isocyanathaltige
Produkte gleich denen von Beispiel 3.» jedoch unter Verwendung der

in der folgenden Tabelle angegebenen fluorierten Reaktanten mit stöehiometrisehen Mengen an Gemischen von Äthylenimin und Allylalkohol
im Molverhältnis 1:1 ^ Stunden am Rückfluß umgesetzt, wobei Harzkonzentrate, die äquimolare Mengen an diesen Reaktanten
und dem fluorierten Reaktanten enthalten, erhalten werden. Diese Produkte werden in der Form einer 0,5$-igen Lösung in
, das zur Verbesserung der Löslichkeit eine geringe Menge
an Aceton oder Äthylacetat enthält, auf Baumwollgewebe 80 χ 8θ
aufgebracht, und das Gewebe wird bei drei verschiedenen Temperaturen getrocknet. Die Ergebnisse (gemessen durch AATCC Standard
Test Method 118) sind:

Mit dem aus dem sekundären Alkohol gemäß der Erfindung erhaltenen Produkt (Beispiel 4a) werden also überlegene Ergebnisse erzielt.
Nach dem Verfahren der Beispiele 3 und 4 hergestellte Harze, die
aus dem Reaktionsprodukt von Trimethylolpropan, 2,4-Toluylendiisocyanat
-und den in der folgenden Tabelle angegebenen Reaktanten A,
B und C im Molverhältnis 1:3:1:1:1 bestehen, werden hergestellt, und aus einer 0,5#-igen Lösung in CH5CCl5 auf Baumwolltuch 80 χ 8θ
aufgebracht und bei zwei Temperaturen gehärtet. Die Ergebnisse sind:

Diese Phosphatderivate eignen sich für.die Behandlung von Papier.
Herstellung und Verwendung einer solchen Verbindung sind in Beispiel. 6 beschrieben.
Ein flammgetrockneter Kolben mit Rührer, Rückflußkühler und Stickstoffeinlaß wird mit 25 ml trockenem Tetrahydrofuran, >,06 g
(0,02 Mol) destilliertem Phosphoroxychlorid und 4,3 g (0,04j Mol)
destilliertem Triäthylamin beschickt. 44,6 g (O,o4 Mol) des sekundären
Alkohols gemäß der Erfindung von Beispiel 1 in 100 ml trockenem Tetrahydrofuran werden tropfenweise unter Einhaltung
einer Reaktionstemperatur von 200C zugesetzt. Nachdem die Hälfte
des fluorierten Alkohols zugesetzt ist, wird die Reaktionstemperatur
auf Rückflußtemperatur erhöht. Nach 3 Stunden wird das bernsteinfarbene Reaktionsgemisch abkühlen gelassen, und das
Triäthylamin-hydroChlorid wird abfiltriert. Man erhält eine Lösung
des Produktes

zum Rückfluß erhitzt, gekühlt, filtriert und von Lösungsmittel befreit. Man erhält 15,2 g (Ausbeute 76$) eines gelb-braunen
wachsartigen Materials, dessen Infrarotspektrum der folgenden Struktur entspricht:

Das Ä'thanolaminsalz wird hergestellt, indem man 2,3 g der wie
oben beschrieben erhaltenen Säure in 50 ml trockenem Benzol
löst und diese Lösung langsam zu 0,1 g Ä'thanolamin in am Rückfluß
kochendem Benzol zusetzt. Es bildet sich sofort ein weißer Niederschlag, der nach Kühlen abfiltriert wird. Der Feststoff
ist in einem Gemisch von Isopropanol/Wasser 1:1 löslich und er-■gibt ausgezeichnete Eigenschaften, wenn er auf Kraft-Papier aufgeklotzt
wird, wie die folgende Tabelle zeigt:

Der "Ausrüstungswert" ("kit rating") ist definiert als diejenige Lösung mit der höchsten Nummer in der folgenden Tabelle, die in
der Form von Tropfen 15 Sekunden auf der Oberfläche des Papiers bleibt, ohne in das Papier einzudringen, wie am Dunkelwerden erkennbar
ist. Das Dunkelwerden selbst eines geringen Bruchteils des Gebietes unter dem Tropfen ist bereits als Ausfall anzusehen.

Herstellung von Acrylatestern von sekundären Alkoholen,

Ein Gemisch von 112 g (0,1 Mol) des Alkohols von Beispiel 1, 12,1 g (0,12 Mol) Triäthylamin und 12,5 g (0,12 Mol) Methylacrylylchlorid
in 250 ml CHgCIg wird 1 Stunde zum Rückfluß erhitzt.
Das Reaktionsgemisch wird filtriert, und das Piltrat wird dreimal mit 1^-igem HCl und dreimal mit Wasser gewaschen. Durch
Abtrennen des Lösungsmittels und Molekulardestillation wird der Methacrylatester in guter Ausbeute erhalten. Durch Polymerisieren
des Monomer in 1,1,2-Trichlor-1,2,2-trifluoräthan unter Verwendung
von α,α'-Azobisisobutyronitril als Katalysator wird eine Polymerlösung
erhalten, die bei weiterer Verdünnung Textilien und Papier

gute öl- und Wasserabweisung verleiht. In gleicher Weise wird der
Acrylsäureester des sekundären Alkohols und ein Polymer davon hergestellt. Auch Copolymere dieser Pluoralkylacrylate mit anderen
äthylenisch ungesättigten Monomeren werden in gleicher V/eise hergestellt.
Herstellung eines Maleinsäureanhydridharzderivats von sekundärem Alkohol
Ein Gemisch von 50 g (0,4 Mol) Äthylen/Maleinsäureanhydrid-Harz
(Monsanto EVÄ-21), 45 g (0,04 Mol) des Alkohols von Beispiel 1,
200 ml Xylol und 1 g p-Toluolsulfonsäure wird 24 Stunden am Rückfluß
gekocht, wobei ein teilweise verestertes Polymerprodukt erhalten wird. Das Lösungsmittel wird im Vakuum abgetrennt, und das
Produkt wird in wäßrigem Ammoniak gelöst, so daß eine 1^-lge Lösung
erhalten wird. Wenn diese Lösung auf 65/25 Dacron-Polyester/
Baumwollgewebe aufgeklotzt wird, wird das Gewebe öl- und schmutzabweisend gemacht.
Herstellung des Carbamats von sekundärem Alkohol
Ein 2-1-Kolben mit einer Destillationskolonne wird mit 560 g
(0,5 Mol) des Alkohols von Beispiel 1, 49 g (0,5 Mol) H2NCOOC2H
und 400 ml Toluol beschickt. Toluol wird abdestilliert, bis das System trocken ist. Dann werden 5 ml Tetraisopropylorthotitanat
zugesetzt. Das Toluol/Ä'thanol-Azeotrop wird mit der Geschwindigkeit,
mit der es sich bildet, abgetrennt, und die Umsetzung ist in etwa 5 Stunden beendet. Das Toluol wird unter vermindertem
Druck abdestilliert, und der Rückstand wird zur Verfestigung In Schalen gegossen und an Luft getrocknet. Man erhält in ausgezeichneter
Ausbeute das Produkt

Beispiel 10a
Ein Kolben wird mit 58,6 g (0,1 Mol) des Epoxids
( CP ) gCP (CPg ) 6 ( CH2 ) gSCHgCH^ >
CH2 ,
100 ml Wasser, 10ö ml Äthanol und 1 ml konzentrierter Salzsäure
beschickt, und das Gemisch wird 18 Stunden gekocht. Durch Abdampfen der Lösungsmittel wird das gewünschte Produkt in guter
Ausbeute erhalten.
Das Material kann auch nach dem in Beispiel 2 der Patentanmeldung P 22 59 709.7 beschriebenen Verfahren hergestellt werden.
Ein 500-ml-Kolben wird mit 50 g (0,09^ Mol) (CP^)2CP(CPg)6C2H11SH,
5*1 g (0,094 Mol) Natriummethoxid und 100 ml Methanol beschickt.
Diesem Gemisch wird langsam Glycidol zugesetzt, während die Temperatur mittels eines Eisbades bei 250C gehalten wird. Nach Beendigung
der Zugabe wird das Reaktionsgemisch 3 Stunden gerührt. Dann werden ihm I50 ml Wasser und eine ausreichende Menge an konzentrierter
Salzsäure, um die Base zu neutralisieren, zugesetzt. Durch Extraktion mit 1,1,2-Trichlor-1,2,2-trifluoräthan und Abdampfen
des Lösungsmittels erhält man 55 g (CP3J2CP(CPg)6C2H4SCHgCH(OH)CHgOH, P 92 - 95°.

Die gemäß Beispielen 10a und 10b hergestellten Diole können
zur Herstellung von Urethanen (Beispiel 11), die als Mittel, um Trägermaterialien öl- und wasserabweisend zu machen, sowie
für Kondensationspolymerisationen unter Bildung von Polyestern, verwendet werden. Geeignete Polysäuren sind beispielsweise Adipinsäure,
Phthalsäureanhydrid, Terephthalsäure, Pyromellitsäure, Maleinsäure, Fumarsäure und die in Beispiel 14 der US-PS 3 471
beschriebene fluorhaltige Disäure. Carbamate des Diols von Beispiel 10 und insbesondere ihre methylolierten Derivate eignen sich
als Textilbehandlungsmittel, um diese öl- und wasserabweisend zu machen, wi-e durch Beispiel 13 veranschaulicht. Das Gleiche gilt
für die Acrylatester des Diols (Beispiele 14a und b).
Ein trockener Kolben wird mit 25 ml Äthylacetat, 1,74 g (0,01 Mol)
2,4-Toluylendiisocyanat und 5,02 g (0,005 Mol) des Diols von Beispiel
10 beschickt. Ein Tropfen Zinnkatalysator (M & T Co1S T9-Produkt)
wird zugesetzt, und die Umsetzung wird 1 1/2 Stunden bei 40 ablaufen gelassen. Dann werden 0,48 g (0,005 Mol) Phenol zugesetzt,
und das Reaktionsgemisch wird 3 1/2 Stunden auf 50° erwärmt. Schließlich werden 0,22 g (0,005 Mol) Äthylenimin zugesetzt, und
das Produkt wird 4 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt.
Mit einer 0,5$-igen Lösung dieses Harzes in Methylchloroform besprühtes
Baumwollgewebe ist stark öl- und wasserabweisend.

Herstellung eines Alkydharzes aus schwefelhaltigem Diol
Ein Becher wird mit 35,1 g (0,05 Mol) des Diols von Beispiel 10,
2,8 g (0,03 Mol) Glycerin und 14,8 g (0,1 Mol) Phthalsäurean-.
hydrid beschickt. Das Gemisch wird 2 Stunden auf einer Heizplatte auf 275 bis 3000C erhitzt. Das dabei gebildete Harz wird mit einem
Gemisch von Toluol und Butylacetat 1:1 bis zu \% verdünnt. Es
eignet sich, um Wildleder und Textilien öl- und wasserabweisend zu machen.
Eine Lösung von 4,6 g (0,04 Mol) CP^COOH in 25 ml Benzol wird
unter langsamem Rühren einem Gemisch von 12,1 g (0,02 Mol) R11CHgCHgSCHgCH(OH)CHgOH (hergestellt in Beispiel 10) und 2,6 g
(0,04 Mol) Natriumcyanat in 50 ml Benzol zugesetzt. Das Gemisch
wird 17 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur gerührt. Klebriges unlösliches Material wird von dem Reaktionsgemisch abfiltriert, und
das Piltrat wird zweimal mit 50 ml heißem Wasser gewaschen und
bei 4o bis 50° unter vermindertem Druck getrocknet, wobei man 13,0 g (Ausbeute 100^) eines weichen wachsartigen Peststoffes,
der als das Carbamat der Formel (CP3JgCP(CPg)6CHgCHgSCHgOH(OH)CHgOCONHg
angesehen wird, erhält. Infrarotspektrum und Eletnentaranalyse
stimmen mit dieser Struktur überein.

Einer eisgekühlten Lösung von 12,1 g (0,02 Mol) RpCH^CHpSCHiOHjCHpOH von Beispiel 10 und 2,0 g (0,02 Mol) TrI-

äthylamin in 75 ml wasserfreiem Äther wird unter Rühren Tropfen
für Tropfen eine Lösung von 2,5 g (0,024 Mol) Methacrylylchlorid
und 0,01 g p-Methoxyphenol in 25 ml wasserfreiem Äther zugesetzt. Das weiße Gemisch wird 2 1/2 Stunden am Rückfluß gekocht. Ein
weißer Peststoff wird von dem Reaktionsgemisch abfiltriert und verworfen. Das Piltrat wird mit 100 ml Wasser, 100 ml 5^-iger
NaOH-Lösung und 100 ml Wasser gewaschen, und mit wasserfreiem Calciumsulfat getrocknet. Dann wird das Lösungsmittel abgetrennt.
Man erhält 11,7 g (Ausbeute 87$) an einem hellbraunen viskosen
flüssigen Rückstand:

Tropfen für Tropfen unter Rühren eine Lösung von 6,3 g (0,06 Mol) Methacrylylchlorid und 0,02 g p-Methoxyphenol in 25 ml 1,1,2-Trichlor-1,2,2-trifluoräthan
zugesetzt. Das weiße Gemisch wird 4 1/2 Stunden am Rückfluß gekocht. Ein weißer Feststoff wird
von dem Reaktionsgemisch abfiltriert und verworfen. Das Filtrat wird mit 100 ml Wasser, 100 ml 5^-iger NaOH-Lösung und 100 ml
Wasser gewaschen und mit wasserfreiem Calciumsulfat getrocknet. Das Lösungsmittel wird abgetrennt. Man erhält 14,5 g (Ausbeute
100$) eines hellbraunen viskosen flüssigen Rückstandes:

Durch Polymerisation der Monomeren von Beispiel 16a und b in

Diese Verbindungen können leicht hergestellt werden, indem man mit oder ohne Lösungsmittel äquivalente Mengen des Epoxide und
Amins vorsichtig zusammen erwärmt. Die zweite Verbindung beispielsweise wird erhalten, indem man 58,6 g (0,1 Mol) des
Epoxids
mit 7,2- g (0,1 Mol) CH3NHC2H4OH 4 Stunden auf 400C erwärmt. Die
anderen Verbindungen werden in gleicher V/eise aus leicht erhältlichen Aminen, einschließlich dem polymeren Ä'thylenimin, erhalten.
Die Verbindungen- sind außerordentlich vielseitig verwendbare Zwischenverbindungen. Sie können für eine Verwendung als oberflächenaktive
Mittel in Ammoniumsalze übergeführt werden. Sie können mit Äthylen- oder Propylenoxid zu nicht-ionischen Surfak-

tants tungesetzt werden, und diese Kondensate können natürlich in Ammoniumsalze übergeführt werden. Wegen des reaktiven
Hydroxyls ist es möglich, wertvolle Acrylatmonomere, Urethanharze
und Carbamate herzustellen. Da diese Systeme kationisch gemacht werden können, sind sie von besonderem Wert, wenn
Substantiv!tat erwünscht ist, beispielsweise um Kleidungsstücke
im Haushalt öl- und wasserabweisend zu machen.
Herstellung von R-CpHj.SCpH2,OH und Derivaten davon
Diese Verbindung ist als ein weniger bevorzugter Alkohol in Beispiel 4 genannt.
Ein 500-ml-Kolben wird mit 100 ml Methanol, 5,4 g (0,1 Mol)
Natriummethoxid und 55 g (0,1 Mol) (CP3)gCF(CFg)6C2H4SH beschickt,
und das Gemisch wird 30 Minuten bei 50C gerührt. Dann
werden dem Gemisch 4,6 g (0,105 Mol) flüssiges Äthylenoxid zugesetzt, während die Temperatur bei unter 5 gehalten wird.
Nach Rühren für 1 Stunde werden 100 ml Wasser zugesetzt, und das Produkt wird mit konzentrierter Salzsäure gegen Lackmus angesäuert.
Durch Extraktion mit 1,1,2-Trichlor-1,2,2-trifluoräthan und Abdampfen des Lösungsmittels erhält man 41 g
(CP3)2CP(CP2)6C2H4SC2H40H, Ρ 69 - 71°.

Durch Polymerisation dieses Monomer in Lösung in 1,1,2-Trichlorig
2, 2-trifluoräthan unter Verwendung von α,α'-Azobisisobutyronitril
als Katalysator für 8 Stunden bei 700C wird eine Lösung erhalten,
die sich eignet, um Gewebe öl- und wasserabweisend zu machen.
Die oben beschriebenen Addukte und Harze gemäß der Erfindung können nach bekannten Methoden der Überzugsherstellung, wie Aufsprühen,
Auftragen durch Walzen, Aufstreichen oder Eintauchen, aus einer Lösung in einem organischen Lösungsmittel oder aus
einer anionischen, kationischen oder nicht-ionischen Emulsion
auf Oberflächen aufgebracht werden oder auch als Pulver oder haftende Stäube aufgebracht werden. Sie können aus leicht erhältlichen
organischen Lösungsmitteln, wie Alkoholen, Ketonen,
Äthern und chlorierten Lösungsmitteln, aufgebracht werden. Sie
können als einzige Komponente in der Behandlungsflüssigkeit oder als eine Komponente in einer komplexen Rezeptur mit mehreren Wirkstoffen,
wie kosmetischen Artikeln, Wachsen, Glanzmitteln, Reinigungsgemischen und Behandlungsmitteln, verwendet werden. Beispiels
weise wird eine ausgezeichnete Wasser-, öl- und Schmutzabweisung bei Textilgeweben, die gleichzeitig mit den Addukten gemäß der Erfindung
und herkömmlichen Ausrüstungsmitteln, Mottenabweisungsmitteln, knitterfest machenden Harzen, Schlichtungsmitteln,
Glättungsmitteln, Leimen, Antientzündungsmitteln, antistatischen
Mitteln, Parbstoffixierungsmitteln und Wasserabweisungsmitteln, be handelt sind, erzielt. Bei der Behandlung von Papier können die
Addukte als Wirkstoff in einem Wachs, einer Stärke, Kasein, einem

Elastomer oder einer naßfest machenden- Harzformulierung anwesend
sein. Wäßrige Emulsionen der Fluorkohlenstoffverbindungen eignen sich insbesondere für die Behandlung von Papier.
Durch Einmischen des Adduktes in eine Anstrichmasse auf
Wasser- oder ölgrundlage kann es auf ungestrichene Asbestverkleidungen,
Holz, Metall und Mauerwerk aufgebracht werden. Für die Behandlung von Fußböden und Oberflächen von Ziegeln
und dergl. Trägern können die Addukte in der Form einer Emulsion
oder Lösung angewandt werden.
