Claims (12)
1. In hohem Masse poröse, ungesinterte, im wesentlichen
vollständig faserförmige oder fibrillierte Polytetrafluoräthylenfolie
mit hoher Zugfestigkeit, die Füllstoffe in Mengen "bis zu 98 Gew.-$ der fertigen Folie
zurückhalten kann.
2. Polytetrafluoräthylenfolie nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie mit einem Elektrolyten benetzt
ist.
3. Polytetrafluoräthylenfolie nach Anspruch 1, enthaltend einen Füllstoff.
4. Folie nach Anspruch 3, in der der Füllstoff ein nichtelektronenleitender
Füllstoff ist.
5. Folie nach Anspruch 3» in der der Füllstoff ein elektronenleitender Füllstoff ist.
6. Folie nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Katalysator für eine Brennstoffzelle in die gefüllte
Folie zur Bildung einer Brennstoffzellenelektrode eingebracht ist.

7. Verfahren zum Herstellen einer porösen, ungesinterten, fibrillierten Polytetrafluoräthylenfolie, "bei dem PoIytetrafluoräthylenteilchen
mit einem zähen, lösungsmittelextrahierbaren Harz vermischt, die Mischung in eine Folienform extrudiert und das Harz aus der Folie
mit einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel entfernt werden, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass als Ausgangsmierial eine
wässrige Dispersion aus Polytetrafluoräthylenteilchen mit einer Grosse von etwa 0,05 "bis 1,0 Mikron verwendet
und die Mischung vorzugsweise durch Verwalzen gemischt wird, bis die Teilchen im wesentlichen vollständig
f!brilliert sind, um eine Folie mit hoher Zugfestigkeit
zu bilden.
8. Verfahren nach Anspruch 7» dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Folie mit Alkohol gewaschen und dann mit einem
Elektrolyten benetzt wird.
9. Verfahren nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
ein Füllstoff in die zu mischende Mischung oder in die geformte Folie eingebracht wird.
10.Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
als Füllstoff ein nichtelektronenleitender Füllstoff
verwendet wird.

11.Verfahren nach Anspruch 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass
als Füllstoff ein elektronenleitender Füllstoff verwendet wird.
12.Verfahren nach Anspruch 11, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dass ein Brennstoffzellenkatalysator in die gefüllte Folie eingebracht wird, um eine Brennstoffzellenelektrode
zu bilden.
