vorstehende Bedeutung besitzen, in Gegenwart von tertiären !minen oder heterocyclischen Verbindungen, die eine ringförmig
gebundene Stickstoffalkyl- oder Stickstoffarylgruppe enthalten, bzw. von Hydrochloriden der vorgenannten, deren
Hydrochloride bei der Reaktionstemperatur eine HCl-Tension besitzen, die kleiner ist als der Druck, bei der die Reaktion
durchgeführt wird, bei einer Temperatur von 50 bis 220° C, vorzugsweise
60 bis 180° C, gegebenenfalls unter Verwendung von inerten Lösungsmitteln, kondensiert.
Die Katalysatoren werden in Mengen von 0,1 bis 10 MoI^, bezogen
auf das Säurechlorid des Phosphors, eingesetzt.
In Abänderung der Verfahren zur Herstellung von halogenierten Estern der Phosphorsäuren gemäS Patentanmeldung D 48 949 IVb/12q
und Zusatzpatentanmeldung D 51 148 IVb/12 q wurde nun gefunden,
daß man Katalysatoren auch tertiäre Amine, deren Aminogruppe
Bestandteil eines aromatischen Ringsystems ist, und/oder ggf.

Η-mono- oder N-disubstituierte Säureamide und/oder substituierte
Phosphine bzw. Phosphoniumverbindungen verwenden kann. Dabei kann es sich um einheitliche und gemischte tertiäre Amine, Säureamide
oder substituierte Phosphine bzw. Phosphoniumverbindungen handeln, und substituierte Imide sind im Sinne der vorliegenden
Erfindung als eine Art cyclischer Amide aufzufassen. Aromatische tertiäre Amine im Sinne der Erfindung sind Chinolin, Isochinolin,
Pyrazin, Oxazin, Oxazol, Thiazol, Oxdiazol, Bezthiazol u.a.
FUr die erfindungsgemäße Durchführung des Verfahrens geeignete, gegebenenfalls N-mono- oder disubstituierte Säureamide sind die
Carbonsäureamide von einbasischen und zweibasischen aliphatischen, aromatischen und araliphatischen ggf. ungesättigten Carbonsäuren
mit 1 bis 18 C-Atomen. Die genannten einbasischen Säuren, wie Ameisensäure, Essigsäure, Propionsäure, Buttersäure, Capronsäure,
2-Äthyl-hexansäure. Caprylsäure, Laurinsäure, Palmitinsäure,
Stearinsäure, Benzoesäure, Phenylessigsäure und Pheny!buttersäure
können geradkettig oder auch verzweigt sein oder in der Alkylkette auch durch eine Ketogruppe, wie in der Benztraubensäure,
Acetessigsäure oder Lävulinsäure, unterbrochen sein. Als geeignete Säureamide von zweibasischen, ungesättigten Carbonsäuren
seien z.B. die Maleinsäure- und Pumarsäureamide genannt. Als Basen, wie sie den in Betracht kommenden Säureamiden zu Grunde
liegen, eignen sich Ammoniak oder Mono- oder Diamine, wobei Hydrazin einzuschließen ist. Bevorzugt werden primäre oder sekundäre
Mono- oder Diamine, die sich von der gesättigten, aliphatischen, araliphatischen, cycloaliphatischen Reihe oder von der
aromatischen Reihe mit nur einem aromatischen Ring ableiten. Bei-

epielsweise seien von den Aminen Methylamin, Dimethylamin,
Di-η- l)zw. -i-propylamin, Di-η- bzw. -isobutylamin, Di-2-methylhexylamin,
Dilaurylamin, Xthylendiamin, Tetramethylendiamin, Hexamethylendiamin, Cyclohexylamin, Dicyclohexylamin,
Benzylamin, Dibenzylamin, Anilin, Methylanilin, Toluidin, Phenyllendiamin
und Hexahydrophenylendiamin genannt. Eine oder beide Alkylgruppen der Amine können auch durch den Phenyl- oder
Toluylrest oder durch Cycloalkylgruppen mit 5 bis 6 ringständigen C-Atomen, die gegebenenfalls noch durch Alkylgruppen, insbesondere
eine oder zwei Methylgruppen substituiert sein können, ersetzt oder substituiert sein. Von den als Aminkomponenten für
die Herstellung der Säureamide besonders geeigneten Piaminen seien insbesondere jene erwähnt, in denen die beiden Amingruppen
durch eine bis 8 Methylengruppen getrennt sind. Auch in den Diaminen können die. am Stickstoffatom noch gebundenen Wasserstoff
atome bis auf wenigstens eins, z.ü. durch Alkylgruppen mit 1 bis 4-C-Atomen, den Phenyl- oder Toluylrest oder einen 5- bis
6gliedrigen Cycloalkylrest substituiert sein. Als Vertreter von besonders geeigneten Carbonsäureamiden, die als Katalysatoren erfindungsgemäS
verwendet werden, seien namentlich aufgeführt: formamid, Methylformamid, Diäthylformamid, Acetamid, N,K1-Dimethylacetamid,
Ιί,Ν-Di-n- bzw. -i-propylbutyramid, ü,N-Di-n-
oder -iso-butylbutyramid, N-JSenzylbuttersäureamid, K,N-Dipropyläthylhexansäureamid,
Acetessigsäure-lfjli-di-n-butylamid,
Acetessigsäureanilid, üenzoesäurebenzylamid, U,N-Dimethylbenzoesäureamid
und Ιί,Ν'-Diformylhexamethylendiamin. Weiterhin
können auch cyclische Säureamide bzw. -imide verwendet werden.

insbesondere durch Methyl- bis n- bzw. iso-Butyl- oder Phenylgruppen substituiert sein können, wie Dimethylbarbitursäure,
Diäthylbarbitursäure, Dipropylbarbitursäure f Diallylbarbitursäure,
Di-n-butylbarbitursäure und Phenyläthylbarbitureäure,
sind als Katalysatoren für die erfindungsgemäße Kondensation geeignet.
Aber auch Kohlensäureamide bzw. -imide, vorzugsweise die N-substituiert
en Derivate, wie H-Pheny!urethan, Diphenylcarbodiimid, ™
Diphenylguanidin können eingesetzt werden. Sulfonamide sind ebenfalls geeignete Katalysatoren, wie 4-Sulfamoylacetanilin, K'-Amidi
no-sulfanilamid, N'-2-Pyridyl-sulfaanilamid.
Auch Phosphorigsäureamide, wie N,N,N' ,N' ,N" ,Ν''-Hexamethylphosphorigsäuretriamid,
N,N,N', W1TH' \ N" -Hexamethylphosphorsäuretriamid,
Ν,Ν,Ν',N',N'',N''-Hexa-n- bzw. -isobutylphosphorigsäuretriamid,
Phosphorigsäuretrimorpholid können als Katalysatoren verwendet werden. Die Phosphorsäuretriamide, die ebenfalls als Katalysatoren
verwendet werden können, sind jedoch in ihrer katalytischen Wirkung der Phosphorigsäure etwas unterlegen.
Titansäureamide und Zinnsäureamide, wie Di-n-propoxy-titandiamid
und Di-η- bzw. -iso-butylzinndiamid, können ebenfalls als Katalysatoren verwendet werden.

Es ist nicht erforderlicht als Katalysatoren bereits die fertigen
imidt direkt anzuwenden, vielmehr kann man auch die Komponenten»
aus denen sie sich aufbauen, z.B. ein Gemisch von einem primären oder sekundären Mono- oder Diamin der vorstehend genannten
Art und einer der erwähnten Monocarbonsäuren oder den sich von diesen Säuren ableitenden Säurechloriden oder Anhydriden
verwenden, da sich unter den Umsetzungsbedingungen dann die Säureamide bilden.
^ Als geeignete substituierte Phosphine bzw. Phosphoniumverbindungen sind folgende Substanzen zu nennen: Iriphenylmethylphosphoni»
umiodld, Xriphenylbenzylphosphoniumchlorld, p-Xylyen-bis (t riphenylphosphonlumchlorid),
p-Xylyen-bis(triäthylphosphoniumbromid), Xetraäthylphosphoniumbromid, Xriäthyloctadecylphosphoniumiodid,
Bis-itriäthylpbosphoniumacetal)-1f4--butan, Tributylphosphin,
Tripheny!phosphin.
Natürlich können auch Gemische aus den vorgenannten Aminen,
. Säureamiden und substituierten Phosphinen bzw. Phosphoniumverbindungen
als Katalysatoren verwendet werden. Auch Gemische mit tert. Aminen der Hauptanmeldung D 48 949 IVb/12 q und der Zusatzanmeldung
D 51 83.5 IVd/39 c bzw. deren quaternären Ammoniumsalzen, wie z.B. Trimethylbenzylammoniumchlorid, Xriäthylbenzylammonium-hydroxyd
oder -acetat bzw. Xriäthylammoniumhydrochlbrid,
können verwendet werden.
In manchen Fällen bilden sich im Reaktionsgemisch vor oder während
der Reaktion die quaternären Ammoniumverbindungen der er-
findungs-

gemäßen Katalysatoren. Auch diese Verbindungen wirken katalytisch
im Sinne der Erfindung. Grundsätzlich können derartige Verbindungen deshalb auch von vornherein eingesetzt werden.
Pyridin, welches an sich eine sehr gute katalytisch« Wirkung
besitzt, sublimiert bei höheren Umsetzungstemperaturen in form
des entstandenen Pyridinhydrochlorids. Der Katalysator läßt
dadurch in seiner katalytischen Wirkung während der Umsetzung nach. Deshalb ist es zweckmäßig, Pyridin in Kombination mit
anderen geeigneten Aminen odar Amiden als Katalysator zu verwenden oder aber bei der Reaktion Druck anzuwenden.
Die als Katalysatoren verwendeten tertiären Amine und Säureamide
werden in Mengen von 0,1 - 20 Μο1?ί, vorzugsweise 0*2-2 Mol,
bezogen auf das Säurehalogeslds eingesetzt. Sie können sowohl
den Ansätzen auf einmal als auch in mehreren kleinen Portionen zugesetzt werden.
Unter den erfindungsgemäSen Bedingungen läuft die Kondensation
rasch unter Freisetzung von praktisch stöchiometrischen Mengen gasförmiger HCl ab. Diesen Vorteil zeigt die beiliegende Figur
deutlich. Die Figur veranschaulicht den zeitlichen Verlauf der HCl-Abspaltung von Ansätzen aus 79,8 g Pentachlorphenol und
15,35 g POCl5, 100 ml siedendem Xylol. Es bedeuten:
1. ohne Katalysator
2. in Gegenwart von 1 Gew.jC,
bezogen auf die Menge Säurechlorid, N-2-Pyridyl-Sulfanilamid

Sie Umsetzung kann sowohl in der Schmelze als auch in inerten
lösungsmitteln durchgeführt werden, wobei das inerte Lösungs-Kittel sowohl die Funktion eines echten Lösungsmittels besitzen
kann als auch die eines Dispergiermittels. Geeignete Lösungsmittel im Sinne der vorliegenden Erfindung sind bereits in der
Hauptanmeldung D 48 949 HTb/12 q genannt. Auch geeignet sind
Lösungsmittel, wie chlorierte aliphatisohe und aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, z.B. Tetrachloräthan, Tetrachloräthylen,
Pentachloräthan, Trichlorbenzol, Dlchloräthylbenzol u.a.,
Alkylbenzole, wie Isomerengemische des Hexylcumols, Cyclohexyltoluol, Oycloheogriäthylbenzolf Isopropyläthylbenzol, Dihexylbenzol, Di-p-toly!methan, Hitrobenzol und Phenyläther sowie
Diphenyl.
Ansonsten entsprechen die umsetzbaren Ausgangsprodukte zur Durchführung des erfindungsgemäßen Verfahrens sowie die tJmsetzungsbedingungen denen der Hauptanmeldung.
Die Aufarbeitung der Endprodukte kann nach an sich bekannten Verfahren erfolgen. Bei Verwendung von !lösungsmitteln als Kondensationsmedium kann die Isolierung des Esters durch Abziehen des
Lösungsmittels oder durch Fällung des Esters, aa besten mit polaren Lösungsmitteln, wie Methanol, Xthanol, Aceton, Tetrahydrofuran etc., gewonnen werden.
Phenyl-di-CpentachlorphenylJ-phosphat wurde wie folgt synthetisiert. In einem Dreihalskolben, versehen mit Rührer, Kühler und
Einleitungsrohr wurden 19,5 g Phosphorsäure-phenylester-dichlorid
(Kp. 12s110 - 112° 0) und 53,3 g Pentachlorphenol in 120 ml Xylol
und in Gegenwart von 0,5 ml KjN-Dimethylacetessigsäureamid «ur
Reaktion gebracht. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde unter Rühren auf Siedetemperatur des Xylol gehalten. Das entstandene HCl-Gas wurde
mittels Ng aus dem Reaktionsgemisch herausgespült und in HaOH-LB-sung aufgenommen und titriert.
Die Salzsäureentwicklung ist nach ca. 12 Stunden praktisch beendet. Das Toluol wurde aus dem Reaktionsgemisch abdestilliert.
Beim Abkühlen blieb Phenyl-di-(pentachlorphenyl)-phosphat als weißes, kristallines Produkt.
Ausbeute: ca. 92 £, Pp. 183° 0.
Tri-(pentachlorphenyl)-phosphat wurde wie folgt hergestellt.
Analog Beispiel 1 wurden 15,35 g Phosphoroxychlorid und 79,8 g Pentachlorphenol in 100 ml Xylol und in Gegenwart von 0,5 ml I
Hexamethylphosphorigsäuretriamid als Katalysator zur Reaktion gebracht .
Die Salzsäureentwicklung war nach ca. 18 Stunden praktisch beendet.
Nach Abdampfen des Lösungsmittels fiel das weiße Endprodukt aus.' Ausbeute: 93 #, Pp. 228° C.

und Einleitungsrohr wurden 39 g Phenylphosphonsäuredichlorld (0,2

in 120 ml Xylol und in Gegenwart von 0,5 ml Tributy!phosphin zur
Reaktion gebracht.
Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde unter Rühren auf Siedetemperatur des Xylole gehalten. Das entstandene HCl-Gas wurde mittels K2
aus dem Reaktionsgemisch herausgespült, in HaOH-lösung aufgenommen und die Henge durch Titration ermittelt.
Beim Abkühlen fiel ein weißes Produkt aus; 7p. 287° 0, Ausbeute
96 £· Se wurde als Trispentachlorphenylphosphat indentiflziert.
Se wurde analog Beispiel 5 verfahren. Nur wurden 0,5 g Triphenylbenzylphosphoniumchlorid anstelle von Iributylphosphin als Katalysator verwendet.
Irispentachlorphenylphosphat fiel nach ca. 24 Stunden als weiBes
Produkt aus; Pp. 286° C9 Ausbeute 95 £·
In einem 500 al Dreihalekolben, versehen Bit Rührer und Kühler
und Stickstoffeinleitungerohr, wurden 4O9? g (091 Hol) Hexa-'
chlorophen und 21,1 g (0,1 Hol) Phenylphosphoryldiohlorid in
250 nl Xylol und in Gegenwart von 0,4 ml Srlbutylphosphin sur
Reaktion gebracht. Das entstehende HCl-Gae wurde ait Stickstoff
aus dem siedenden Reaktionsgemisch herausgeepult und in natronlauge aufgefangen.
Die Reaktion war nach 12 Stunden beendet. Das Xylol wurde restlos abdestilliert.
Das resultierende Kondensat hat einen Schmelzpunkt von 164° 0.
In einem 250 ml Dreihalskolben, versehen mit Rührer, Kühler und
Stickstoffeinleitungsrohr, wurden 42 g Diphenyl-(ο,ο*)-ihosphorylchlorid und 160 g Pentachlorphenol in 250 ml Xylol und
in Gegenwart von 0,5 ml Iri-n-butylphosphin sur Reaktion gebracht.
Das entstandene HOl-Gas wurde mit Stickstoff aus dem siedenden
Reaktionsgemisch herausgespült.
Die Reaktion war nach 24 Stunden beendet. Das Xylol wurde restlos abdestilliert. 009887/2102

Claims (2)
1.) Abänderung der Verfahren zur Herstellung von halogenieren
Estern der Phosphorsäuren gemäß Patentanmeldung D 48 949 IVb/12 q
und Zusatzanmeldung D 51 148 IYb/12 q, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß man als Katalysatoren tertiäre Amine, deren Aminogruppe Bestandteil eines aromatischen Ringsystems ist, und/oder ggfs.
N-mono- oder N-di-substituierte Säureamide und/oder substituierte
Phosphine bzw. Phosphoniumverbindungen verwendet.
2.) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß man die
aromatischen tertiären Amine, Säureamide oder Phosphine in Form ihrer quatemären Ammoniumverbindungen einsetzt.
