Metallhaltige Monoazofarbstoffe und Verfahren zu ; ihrer Herstellung
Es wurde gefunden, dass man wertvolle"metallhaltige Azofarbstoffe
erhält, wenn man auf Azofarbstoffe der !Forme 1

metallabgebende Mittel einwirken lässt, In der allgemeinen lOrmel
bedeuten A einen Rest der Benzol- oder Naphthalinreihe in dem
sich der Substituent X in ortho-Stellung zur Azogruppe befindet,
X einen komplexbildenden Substituenten oder einen Substituenten, der unter den Bedingungen der Metallisierung in eine solche
Gruppe übergeführt wird; R1 und Rp stehen für Wasserstoff, Alkyl-,
Cycloalkyl-, Aralkyl und/oder aromatisch-carbocyclische oder -heterocyclische Reste, wobei die Alkylgruppen auch, gegebenenfalls
unter Einschluss von Heteroatomen, zu einem Ring verknüpft
sein können; der Rest A und die Substituenten R. und R können
weitere Substituenten tragen, beispielsweise Halogenatome, Alkyl-, Alkoxy-, Aralkyl-, Hydroxyl-, Nitro-, Cyan-, primäre,
sekundäre oder tertiäre Amino-, Acylamino-, Garbonsäure-, SuIfonsäure-,
Alkylsulfonyl-, Arylsulfonyl-, Garbonsäureester- oder gegebenenfalls

Metallkomplexbildende Gruppen X sind beispielsweise -OH, gegebenen!alls substituierte Aminogruppen,
und COOH; üubstituenten, die unter den Bedingungen der Metallisierung
in metallkomplexgebundene Gruppen übergeführt werden,
sind u.a. Alkoxy, Chlor, Acyloxy, z.B. Benzolsulfonyloxy, und
Carbalkoxygruppen, Wasserstoff und Sulfonsäuregruppen( im Falle
der beiden letzteren: oxydative Kupferung).
Azofarbstoffe der Formel (I) lassen sich in an sich bekannter Weise durch Kuppeln von diazotierten Aminen
worin A und X die angegebene Bedeutung haben und X in ortho-Stellung
zur Aminogruppe steht,
mit Imidazol oder dessen in 4- und/oder 5-Stellung durch Alkyl-,
Aralkyl-, Aryl- oder Cycloalkyl substituierten Derivaten, wobei die Alkylreste auch - gegebenenfalls unter Einschluss von Heteroatomen
- ringpschlossen sein können, herstellen. Als Oiazokomponenten
kommen hierfür beispielsweise zur Anwendung: 2-Amino-l-hydroxy-benzol, 3--A-mino-4-hydroxy-l-methyl-benzol,
4-Chlor-2-amino-l-hydroxybenzol, 4,6-Oichlor-2-amino-l-hydroxybenzol,

Stellt X in der allgemeinen Formel der Monoazofarbstoffe einen
Substituenten dar, der im Verlauf der Metallisierung in eine OH- oder - gegebenenfalls substituierte - Aminogruppe übergeführt
wird, gelangen beispielsweise folgende Diazokomponenten zur Anwendung:
2-Chlor-5-nitro-7-amino-benzol, 2-Chlor-l-aInino-benzol-5-
sulfonsäure- :—amid; 2-Chlor-l-aniino-benzol-5-sulfonsäure-methyl
amid, (4-Chlor-3-amino-phenyl)-methyl-sulfon, (4-Chlor-3-aninophenyl)-athylsulfon,
3-Amino-benzol-sulfonsäure-(l), 2-Aminobenzol-disulfonsäure-(l,4).
Die als Kupplungskomponenten verwendeten Imidazole können nach bekannten Verfahren, beispielsweise durch Umsetzung von
^-Hydroxy- bzw. «^-Halogenketonen mit Formamid erhalten werden.

Die Kupplung der Ausgangskomponenten erfolgt in wässrigem oder
organisch-wässrigem Medium, bevorzugt bei pH-Werten über 7. Als organisches Lösungsmittel wird bevorzugt Pyridin angewandt.
Pur das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren werden als komplexbildende
Metalle vorzugsweise solche mit der Ordnungszahl 24 bis 29
angewendet, insbesondere kupfer-, nickel-, chrom- und kobaltabgebende
Mittel. Die Metallisierung iait diesen Substanzen erfolgin wässrigem, organischem oder organisch-wässrigem Medium. Als
organische Lösungsmittel haben sich hierbei besonders Aceton, Grlykol, Formamid und Dimethylformamid bewährt, die als solche,
in Mischung miteinander oder in Mischung mit Wasser zur Anwendimg gelangen. Man kann 1:1- und auch 1:2-Komplexe herstellen.
Die Metallisierung kann mit oder ohne Zusatz säurebindender Substanzen vorgenommen werden. Als säurebindende Mittel seien
wässrige oder alkoholische Lösung von Ammoniak oder Alkalihydroxy den genannt. I1Ur die Metallisierung können auch Gemische verschiedener
Monoazofarbstoffe der Formel (I) oder Gemische eines ·
solchen Monoazofarbstoffs (I) mit einem anderen metallkomplexbildenden
Azofarbstoff eingesetzt werden.

Die erfindungsgemäss erhältlichen Farbstoffmetallkomplexe
eignen sich insbesondere zum Färben natürlicher oder synthetischer Polyamidfasermaterialien, wie Wolle, Seide, Leder, synthetischer
Superpolyamide und Superpolyurethane. Besonders wertvolle Färbungen
werden mit den Farbstoff-Kobaltkö"&plexverbindungen erzielt. Man erhält zum Beispiel auf synthetischen Superpolyamidfasern
hervorragende Licht-, Wasch-, Schweiß- und Seewasserechtheiten.
In den folgenden Beispielen stehen Teile für Gewichtsteile*
Eine wie üblich aus 13,7 Teilen 2-Aminophenol-sulfonsäure-(4)-amid,
20 Teilen 30$iger Salzsäure, 5 Teilen Natriumnitrit und 150 Teilen
Wasser bei 0 - 5 G bereitete Suspension der Diazoverbindung wird bei 0 - 5 C zu einer Mischung von 17 Teilen 4»5-Diphenyl-imidazol,
100 Teilen Pyridin, 40 Teilen 40$iger Natronlauge und 50 Teilen Eis gegeben und bis zur Beendigung der Kupplung bei 0 - 5 C
gerührt. Der entstandene Farbstoff wird durch Zugabe von 130 Teilen 30$iger Salzsäure ausgefällt, abgesaugt, mit Wasser gewaschen
und getrocknet. Er stellt ein orangefarbenes Pulver dar •und hat die folgende Zusammensetzung:

6,1 Teile dieses farbstoffes werden in 100 Teilen Formamid und
50 Teilen Dimethylformamid mit $,2 Teilen krist. Chrom-(III)-.chlorid
unter Rühren 4 Stunden auf 80 0 erwärmt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird in 500 Teile Wasser gegossen und der entstandene
1:2-Chromkomplex durch Zugabe von Salzsäure ausgefällt, abgesaugt
und getrocknet. Er stellt ein dunkles Pulver dar, das Wolle und synthetische Superpolyamidfasern aus schwach saurem oder neuxralem
Bad in dunkelgrünen Tönen mit guten Naßechtheiten färbt.
3 Teile krist. Kobaltsulfat werden in 35 Teilen Wasser gelöst, 30 Teile 25$ige AmmoniaHösung und 1 Teil 30$ige Wasserstoffperoxydlösung
zugesetzt und die Mischung nach einstündigem Rühren zu einer Lösung von 9,1 Teilen des nach dem Verfahren des Absatz 1,
Beispiel 1 erhaltenen metallfreien Farbstoffes in 150 Teilen Wasser und 15 Teilen 4O5Siger Natronlauge bei

80 C zugegeben. Die Temperatur, wird 15 Minuten auf 80 0 gehalten
und die Lösung mit Aktiv-Kohle geklärt. Der entstandene Kobaltkomplex wird durch Zugabe von Essigsäure ausgefällt, abgesaugt und
mit Wasser gewaschen» Getrocknet stellt er ein dunkles Pulver dar, das Wolle und synthetische Superpolyamidfasern aus schwach saurem
oder neutralem Bad echt und gleichmässig in blaustichig grünen Tönen färbt. Die Färbungen besitzen gute Licht- und Allgemeinechtheiten.

Ähnliche Farbstoffe werden erhalten, wenn man im Beispiel 1 die
Diazo- und/oder Kupplungskomponente durch die in der folgenden Tabelle angegebenen Verbindungen ersetzt und in der angegebener.

4,3 Teile des nach Beispiel 1 erhaltenen metallfreien Farbstoffs
werden mit 35 Teilen Dimethylformamid angerührt, 9 Teile 18$ige
Kupfersulfatlösung zugesetzt und 12 Stunden bei Raumtemperatur
gerührt. Die Abscheidung des Kupferkomplexes wird durch Zugabe von 50 Teilen Wasser vervollständigt. Der Farbstoff wird abgesaugt
und getrocknet und stellt in dieser Form ein dunkles Pulver dar, das synthetische Superpolyamidfasern in grünstichig blauen
Tönen färbt.
Verwendet man an Stelle der Kupfersulfatlösung eine lösung von
3,1 Teilen kristallisiertem Nickelsulfat in 10 Teilen Wasser, so erhält man einen Farbstoff, der synthetische Superpolyamidfasern
in bläustichig violetten Tönen färbt.
Bespiel 4
Eine wie- üblich dargestellte Suspension der Diazoverbindung aus
13,8 Teilen 4-Nitro-2-amino-l-hydroxy-benzol-hydrochlorid , 20
Teilen 30$iger Salzsäure, 5 Teilen Natriumnitrit und 150 Teilen Wasser wird bei 0 - 5°C zu einer Mischung von 17 Teilen 4,5-Diphenyl-imidazol,
100 Teilen Pyridin, 40 Teilen 40%iger Natronlauge und 50 Teilen Eis gegeben. Nach Beendigung der Kupplung
wird der Farbstoff durch Zugabe von 140 Teilen 3Obiger Salzsäure
ausgefällt, mit Wasser gewaschen und getrocknet. Er fällt als orangefarbenes Pulver an und hat die Formel

Aus 3 Teilen krist. Kobaltsulfat wird analog Beispiel 2 eine
ammoniakalisehe Kobalt-(III)-salzlösung hergestellt und "bei
80 _ 9O0C zu einer Mischung von 8,4 Teilen des nach Beispiel
4 dargestellten Farbstoffs, 100 Teilen formamid und 15 Teilen
40$iger Natronlauge zugegeben. Die Mischung wird 30 Minuten auf
80 - 90 C erwärmt und nach dem Erkalten mit 500 Teilen Wasser
verdünnt. Der entstandene Kobaltkomplex wird abgesaugt und mit
Wasser gewaschen. Er stellt getrocknet ein dunkles Pulver dar.
1 Teil des trockenen Farbstoffs wird mit Hilfe von einem Teil eines Naphthalinsulfonsäure-Formaldehyd-Kondensationsproduktes
in 1000 Teilen enthärtetem Wasser dispergiert und 1 Teil eines Egalisierhilfsmittels auf Basis Alkylphenylpolyglykoläther zugesetzt.
Bei 50 ö bringt man 100 Teile Garn aus synthetischem Superpolyamid
ein und steigert die Temperatur auf ca. 1000G. Man
färbt eine Stunde bei dieser Temperatur. Nach dem Spülen erhält man eine kräftig blaustichig grüne färbung, die sich durch gute
Licht-, Wasch-, Schweiß- und Meerwasserechtheit auszeichnet.
3,1 Teile des Monoazofarbstoffe 4-Nitro-2-aminophenol $ 4,5-Di-
pheny]imidazol werden in einer Mischung von 50 Teilen formamid
und 50 Teilen Dimethylformamid mit 1,3 Teilen krist.. Chrom-(III)-Chlorid
8 Stunden unter Rückfluß und Rühren auf 120 - 130°C erhitzt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird nach dem Erkalten in 500 Teile
Wasser gegossen und mit Salzsäure kongosauer gestellt. Der

Ohromkomplex stellt; getrocknet ein dunkles Pulver dar, das
synthetische Superpolyamidfasern aus neutralem oder organischsaurem Bad in grünen Tönen mit guter Wasch-, Schweiß- und Meerwasserechtheit färbt.
Farbstoffe mit ähnlichen Eigenschaften werden erhalten, wenn man den Farbstoff dieses Beispiels durch Monoazofarbstoffe aus

Farbstoff, der natürliche und synthetische Superpolyamidfasern gelbstichig oliv mit guter Lichtecht- und Naßechtheit färbt.
Farbstoffe mit ähnlichen Eigenschaften werden erhalten durch
Mischkotaltierung der in der folgenden Tabelle angegebenen Monoazofarbstoffe

9,9 Teile 2-Amino-benzoesäure werden in 150 !Teilen Wasser und
20 Teilen 3Obiger Salzsäure wie üblich mit 5 g Katriümnitrit diazo
tiert und die Diazotierung bei 0 - 5 C zu einer Mischung von
17 Teilen 4,5-Diphenyl-imidazol, 100 Teilen Pyridin, 40 Teilen
40$iger Natronlauge und 50 Teilen Eis gegeben. Nach Beendigung dei
Kupplung wird der Farbstoff durch Zugabe von 140 Teilen 30$iger Salzsäure ausgefällt und abgesaugt. Getrocknet stellt der Farbstoff
ein rotes Pulver dar. Der Farbstoff hat die Formel

8,1 Teile dieses Farbstoffes werden in 100 Teilen Formamid und
15 Teilen 40$iger Natronlauge bei ca. 800C mit einer ammoniakalischen
Kobalt-(III)-salzlösung aus 3 Teilen krist. Kobalt-(II)-sulfat
(analog Beispiel 5) metallisiert und der entstandene Farbstoff-Kobaltkomplex durch Zugabe von 100 Teilen Wasser ausgefällt.
Er färbt synthetische Superpolyamidfasern und Wolle in
klaren bordo Tönen.
5,4 Teile metallfreier Farbstoff dieses Beispiels werden in Teilen Formamid mit 2,2 Teilen krist. Chrom-(III)-chlorid 4
Stunden unter Rühren auf 80 C erwärmt. Nach dem Abkühlen wird
die Lösung mit 400 Teilen Wasser verdünnt und der Farbstofföhromkomplex
durch Zugabe von 40 Teilen Natriumchlorid ausgefällt Sr färbt synthetische Superpolyamidfasern und Wolle in klaren
violetten Tönen.

Claims (1)
- Patentansprüche ?
l) Verfahren zur Herstellung metallhaltiger Azofarbstoffe, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Azofarbstoffe der FormelH
X ^2T-C-A-N = M - C.- C - R2worin A einen Rest der Benzol- oder Naphthalinreihe darstellt, in dem sich der Substituent X in ortho-Steilung zur Azogruppe befindet,· X einen komplexbildenden Substituenten oder einen Rest darstellt, der unter den Bedingungen der Metallisierung in einen metallkomplexbildenden Substituenten übergeführt wird, R1 und R? Wasserstoff, Alkyl-, Cycloalkyl-, Aralkyl- und/oder aromatisch-carbocyelisehe oder -heterocyclische Reste darstellen, wobei die Alkylgruppen, gegebenenfalls unter Einschluss von Heteroatomen, ringgeschlossen sein können,mit metallabgebenden Mitteln behandelt.2) Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man solche Farbstoffe der in Anspruch 1 angegebenen Formelworin X eire-GH odei-CißH jxuppe darstellt und R.. und R? Viasserstoff una/oder niedere Alkyl- und/oder Phenylreste bedeuten,derart mit chrom- oder kobaltabgebenden Mitteln behandelt, dass 1:2 Metallkomplexfarbstoffe entstehen.(3) Metallkomplexverbindungen von Azofarbstoffen der FormelH
