Verfahren zur Herstellung von Cyanformimidsäurethiolestern
Zusatz zu Patent (Anmeldung R 40 308 IVb/l2 o)
rVb/l2 o) ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von Cyanformimidsäurethiolestern der allgemeinen Formel
NC - C
in der R einen beliebiger* organischen Rest, ζ. Β. einen gegebenenfalls substituierten gesättigten oder ungesättigten
aliphatischen, aromatischen oder araliphatischen Kohlenwaseerstoffrest oder einen heterocyclischen Rest bedeutet. Cyanformimideäurethiolester werden gemäß Hauptpatent bei der Umsetzung von Meroaptanen mit Dicyan dann erhalten, wenn Dicyan
im Reaktionsgemisoh im Überschuß vorliegt. Die Umsetzung wird
in Gegenwart eines Katalysators durchgeführt. Als Katalysatoren
sind Verbindungen geeignet, die Meroaptidionen enthalten oder mit Meroaptanen Meroaptidionen enthaltende Verbindungen bilden.
Als besonders geeignet erwiesen sich Metallverbindungen, so ergab z. B. Cadmiumaoetat als Katalysator für die Umsetzung
von Propylmeroaptan mit Dicyan eine Ausbeute von 90 % d. Th.
an Cyanformlmidsäure-propylthiolester.
Ea wurde nunmehr gefunden, daß bei der Verwendung von Magnesium^
Aluminium- oder Schwermetallverbindungen als Katalysatoren im Verfahren gemäß Hauptpatent Dicyan, bezogen auf das Mercaptan,
auch in äquimolarem Verhältnis oder im Unterschuß eingesetzt werden kann. Dies 1st besonders deshalb überraschend, weil be-

kannt ist, daß die Umsetzung von Dicyan mit Meroaptanen in
Gegenwart von Aminen oder Alkaliverbindungen zu Oxaldiimidsäure-dlthioestern
führt, wenn Dicyan im Unterschuß vorliegt (vgl. H. M. Woodburn, C. E. Sroog, J. Org. Chem., Γ£, 371*
1952).
Das neue Verfahren hat den Vorzug, daß besonders wenig Nebenprodukte,
Insbesondere dunkelgefärbte Nebenprodukte, gebildet werden, was dann vorteilhaft ist, wenn ein Cyanformimidothiolester
hergestellt wird, der aufgrund eines hohen Siedepunktes oder leichter Zersetzliohkeit nicht destilliert werden kann,
so daß das rohe Umsetzungsprodukt welterverwendet werden muß.
Die praktische Durchführung des Verfahrens nach der vorliegenden Erfindung ist besonders einfach, da nur in das flüssige
Mercaptan oder in dessen Lösung gasförmiges Dicyan eingeleitet zu werden braucht. Auch wenn hierbei schließlich die äquivalente
Meng· oder gar ein Überschuß an Dicyan eingeleitet wird, läuft dojfoh der größte Teil der Reaktion mit einem großen
Überschuß an Mercaptan ab.
Als Schwermetallverbindungen im Sinne der Erfindung werden entsprechend
der Definition in H. Römpp, Chemie-Lexikon,
5· Auflage, 1962 - Verbindungen derjenigen Metalle angesehen,
die eine Dichte über 5 g/ccm haben, z. B. Silber, Wismut,
Cadmium, Kobalt, Chrom, Kupfer, Quecksilber, Mangan, Molybdän, Nickel, Elsen, Blei, Titan, Vanadin, Wolfram, Zink und Zirkon.
Di· Metalle können beispielsweise in Form ihrer Sulfate,
Sulfide, Alkylmercaptide. Halogenide, Cyanide, Cyanate, Oxyde,
Hydroxyde, niederen Alkylalkoholate, Carbonate, Phosphate, Chromate, Molybdate, Wolfraraat· oder Vanadate dieser Metalle
sowie ihrer Salze mit organischen gesättigten oder ungesättigten Mono-, Di- oder Tricarbonsäuren mit 1 bis 8 C-Atomen
oder Halogencarbonsäuren oder als Komplexverbindungen eingesetzt werden.

Das Verfahren kann unter den gleichen Reaktionsbedingungen
wie das Verfahren des Hauptpatents durchgeführt werden; d, h. bei Temperaturen von -jJO bis 150° C, bevorzugt bei -5 C
bis Raumtemperatur, und, sofern erforderlich, in einem inerten organischen Lösungsmittel als Reaktionsmedium.

In 100 g Diäthyläther vrurde eine in der folgenden Tabelle
angegebene Menge eines Mercaptans gelöst und mit 5 Mol-#,
bezogen auf das Mercaptan, Cadmiumaoetat-dihydrat versetzt. Bei etwa -10° C wurde Dicyan in der in der Tabelle
angegebenen Menge eingeleitet» anschließend einige Stunden bei 20° C nachgerührt. Das Reaktionsgemisoh wurde durch
Destillation aufgearbeitet.

- PatentanspruchVerfahrenjzur Herstellung von Cyanformimidsäurethiolestern durch Umsetzen von Dicyan mit einem Mercaptan, wobei Dicyan während der Reaktionsdauer im Überschuß vorhanden ist, in Gegenwart einer Metallverbindung als Katalysator, gemäß
Hauptpatent . (Anmeldung R 40 j5O8 IVb/12 o)dadurch gekennzeichnet,daß bei der Verwendung von Magnesium-, Aluminium- oder
Schwermetallverbindungen als Katalysatoren Dicyan, bezogen auf das Mercaptan, in äquimolarem Verhältnis oder im Unterschuß eingesetzt wird.BAD ORIGINAL909842/1658
