Description

KLASSE 39«.
Bei der häufig geübten Art maschineller Herstellung von "Gummiballen werden zwei
schwach kalottenfönnig gewölbte Gummiplatten an den Rändern vereinigt (Fig. 1) und dann
durch den Druck eines Gases in einer Form unter gleichzeitiger Vulcanisirung zur Kugel
aufgetrieben. Die so erzeugten Bälle bekommen, in der Nahe der Vereinigungsstelle stets erheblich
gröfsere Wandstärken als an den zu dieser Kreisnaht gehörigen Polen'(Fig. 2), und diese
ungleiche Stoffvertheilung hat wiederum mehr oder weniger starke Abweichungen von der
Kugel form- zur Folge. Aufserdem ist es nicht möglich, Balle von gröfserem Durchmesser
nach, diesem Verfahren auf maschinellem Wege zu erzeugen.
Das vorliegende Verfahren unterscheidet sich hiervon dadurch, dafs die Zusammensetzung
des Balles nicht aus zwei Kugelkalotten, sondern aus einem Cylindermantel α (Fig. 3) und
dessen beiden flachen oder kartenförmigen Begrenzungen b und b° erfolgt. Ein solcher
Körper schliefst sich von vornherein näher an die Kugelform an, und beim späteren Aufblähen
sind-keine Theile vorhanden, die eine so starke Dehnung durchzumachen haben wie
die vorher erwähnten Pole bei dem früheren Verfahren.
Zur Ausübung eines solchen Verfahrens kann die in den Fig. 5 bis 8 dargestellte Einrichtung
dienen. Diese erzeugt den cylindrischen Theil des Rohballes mit Rücksicht auf die bequemere
Herstellungsweise und auf den Umstand, dafs beide Cylinderenden, wie weiter ersichtlich,
mit Aufsenflanschen versehen sein müssen, aus zwei einzelnen durch Innenflanschen mit einander
verbundenen Cyliridern von je halber Höhe des Ganzen [a und a° in Fig. 4).
Die Vorrichtung besteht aus einer Matrize, die so geformt ist, dafs von zwei einander
entgegengesetzten Seiten her je ein Prefsstempel in sie eintreten kann. Die Art der Presse,
durch die der hierzu erforderliche Druck erzeugt wird, ist beliebig. Es kommt nur auf
die Gestaltung der Matrize und der Stempel an.
Die Fig.. 5 zeigt die Matrize c mit zwei gleichen, aufsen stehenden Stempeln d. Auf
jede .Seite der Matrize wird eine Gummiplatte al
gelegt, und. darauf erfolgt das Einsenken .der Stempel.. Hierbei schneiden zunächst die
Kanten e aus. der Gummiplatte. je eine kreisförmige.
Scheibe aus, die in.der Fig. 5 durch a2 angedeutet ist. Hierauf geschieht die Pressung
in die durch <23 angedeutete Form, indem der
cylindrische Theil g der Kolben in den. Innen-'
cylinder der Matrize eintritt. Nach Auftreffen der Kante e auf den ringförmigen Boden f
der Matrize senkt sich der mittlere Stempeltheil g, der gegen den äufseren durch die
Federn h abgestützt ist, noch weiter abwärts, so dafs die Platten nun topfförmige Gestalt (α3)
annehmen, und zwar derart, dafs sich die Beiden beider Töpfe berühren. Hierauf schieben sich
die Kanten i des Stempeltheiles g, die ihrerseits
wieder gegen den mittelsten.Theil k durch eine Feder Z abgestützt sind, noch weiter vor.
Diese Kanten sind nach aufsen abgeschrägt, treffen .aber „mit ihren inneren Schneiden auf
einander und schneiden oder kneifen den Doppelboden der Cylinder α3 so ab, dafs zwei
schmale, nach innen ragende Flanschen (siehe Fig. 6 und 7 bei α4) stehen bleiben, die gleichzeitig
durch den Druck mit einander vereinigt werden.
Entfernt man nun die Stempel aus der Matrize, so bleibt in ihr ein cylindrisches, an den
Rändern mit Aufsenflanschen versehenes Gebilde zurück, das in der erläuterten Weise aus
zwei durch Innenflanschen mit einander vereinigten Einzelcylindern besteht, wie Fig. 4 es
darstellt (a und a°).
Es wird nun auf die Matrize wiederum, von jeder Seite her eine Gummiplatte (bl in Fig. 7)
gelegt, und dann werden die beiden Stempel m eingeführt. Zunächst schneiden die Aufsenkanten
«wieder kreisförmige Scheiben aus den Gummiplatten heraus, sodann nehmen die
Platten vermöge der Form der Stempel und der in den Hohlkörper eingeschlossenen Luft
die in Fig. 8 dargestellte Gestalt an, und zum Schlüsse vereinigen die inneren Kanten 0 der
Matrize und der Stempel die Aufsenflanschen durch Druck, so dafs der in Fig. 4 dargestellte
Körper entsteht. Die weitere Behandlung (Vulcanisiren) geschieht in der sonst üblichen
Weise. Das zum Auftreiben nöthige doppeltkohlensaure Ammoniak kann vor dem Prefsvorgange
nach Fig. 7 in den Hohlkörper (auf die untere Platte b1) gebracht werden. Fig. 9
stellt den fertigen Gegenstand im Querschnitt dar. Durch gleichzeitige Anwendung mehrerer
Matrizen und Stempel kann die Einrichtung so getroffen werden, dafs mehrere Bälle auf
einmal hergestellt werden, wobei Anzahl und Gröfse durch die Breite der verwendeten Gummi·
platten begrenzt wird.
Nach diesem Verfahren lassen sich Bälle von fast beliebiger Gröfse erzeugen, die, abgesehen
von den Verbindungsstellen, eine gleichmäfsige Wandstärke zeigen und daher auch die Kugelform
bewahren. Den Querschnitt durch einen solchen Ball zeigt Fig. 9. Die so hergestellten
Rohbälle können vermöge der in ihnen enthaltenen Luftmenge durch einfaches Drücken
darauf geprüft werden, ob sie luftdicht und daher zum Vulcanisiren geeignet sind.
Statt gewöhnlicher Gummibälle lassen sich natürlich auf gleiche Weise auch andere, ähnliche
Hohlkörper erzeugen.
Claims (4)
1. Verfahren zur Erzeugung von Gummibällen o. dgl., dadurch gekennzeichnet, dafs der
Rohball aus einem cylindrischen Theil (a) und zwei ihn abschliefsenden flachen oder
gewölbten Böden (b) gebildet wird, die in bekannter Weise an den Rändern Verbunden,
aufgeblasen und vuicanisirt werden.
2. Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dafs der cylindrische Theil
aus zwei einzelnen, mittelst Innenflanschen mit einander vereinigten cylindrischen
Theilen gebildet wird.
3. Verfahren zur Herstellung der cylindrischen Theile nach Anspruch 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
dafs zwei Scheiben zu zwei topf-' artigen Gebilden geprefst, an den Böden
mit einander vereinigt und durch Entfernung des vereinigten Bodens unter Belassung
eines schmalen, den Zusammenhang bewahrenden Flansches zu einem Cylinder
gestaltet werden.·
4. Vorrichtung zur Ausübung der Verfahren nach Anspruch 2 und 3, gekennzeichnet
durch eine an beiden Seiten offene Matrize (c) mit weiten äufseren Oeffhungen
und engerem Innencylinder, sowie innerer Prefskante foj, und durch zwei in diese
Matrize passende Stempelpaare, von denen das erste (d) mit einer Schneidekante (e)
zum Ausschneiden der Gummischeibe, einem cylindrischen Theil (g) zur Erzeugung der
Topfform und mit einer Prefs- und Schneidekante (i) versehen ist, die mit der entsprechenden
Kante des Gegenstempels zusammen das Vereinigen und Ausschneiden der Böden besorgt, während ein zweiter
Kolbensatz fmj, eine Schneidkante (n) zum
Ausschneiden der Bodenscheiben und eine mit der vorgenannten Prefskante der Matrize
zusammentreffende Prefskante (0) zur Herbeiführung der Flanschenverbindung
zwischen den Cylinderböden und dem Cylindermantel trägt. ~ '
