Abstract

Έχει ανακαλυφθεί ότι μικροσωματίδια τα οποία σχηματίζονται από φυσικά ή συνθετικά πολυμερή με πιο παχιά τοιχώματα έχουν ενισχυμένη ηχογένεση σε σύγκριση με μικροσωματίδια που έχουν λεπτότερα τοιχώματα. Η επίδραση του πάχους του τοιχώματος έχει προσδιοριστεί πειραματικά καθώς επίσης έχει εισαχθεί σε ένα τύπο για χρήση στην πρόβλεψη των βέλτιστων συνθηκών. Στην προτιμούμενη πραγματοποίηση, τα πολυμερή είναι συνθετικά βιοφθάρσιμα πολυμερή και το πάχος του τοιχώματος είναι περίπου 100 και 660 nm, αν και πάχη τοιχώματος από περίπου 20nm έως το πολύ 500nm μπορούν να χρησιμοποιούνται.
