Abstract

一种电连接器,主要包括组设为栅格状的导电端子及收容该导电端子的绝缘本体。其中每个端子包括设于中部的纵长主体部及与其相连接的横向翼部,绝缘本体设有与端子主体部相对的构造,端子横向翼部是沿该构造迁伸设置且其自由端露出构造上下表面以与对接电子元件电性相连。另外,绝缘本体上设有邻近各端子的第一开口及第二开口。

Description

电连接器
本实用新型是有关一种电连接器,尤其是指一种栅格排列(Land GridArray;下称LGA)电连接器。
LGA电连接器一大优点在于其与对接电子元件对接时,只需采用压接设备将其与对接电子元件进行压接即可实现二者间的电性连接,而不需任何焊接操作。相关现有技术可参考美国专利第5,820,389、5,395,252、5,380,210、4,793,814及5,324,205号案。在这些现有技术中,制造LGA电连接器通常首先分别制成一绝缘本体及若干个导电端子,而后将导电端子组固于绝缘本体相应的孔穴中。但是,该制造方法过于繁琐而不利于自动化方式的实施,因此增加了电连接器的制造成本。另,由于绝缘本体为刚性塑胶材料制成,其挠性甚小,因此电连接器绝缘本体接合面的平面度对于连接器与对接电子元件之间的连接品质起到至关重要的作用。
本实用新型目的在于提供一种可便于采用自动化方式制造及装配且能与对接电子元件保持稳固连接的LGA电连接器。
本实用新型的目的是通过以下技术方案实现的:本实用新型电连接器,包括绝缘本体及若干组设为栅格状的端子,其中端子收容于绝缘本体中,每个端子具有设于中部的纵长主体部及与其相连的横向翼部,绝缘本体设有若干与端子主体部相对应的构造,其中端子翼部沿构造延伸设置且其自由端突出构造上、下表面以与对接电子元件电性连接,另外,绝缘本体上邻近各端子设有第一开口及第二开口。
与现有技术相比,本实用新型的优点为:本实用新型的绝缘本体可采用插入式内模成型包覆到端子上,其制造简便且利于降低生产成本;再者,本实用新型的绝缘本体为弹性材料制成,因此其能够保证导电端子与对接电子元件之间的稳固连接。
下面结合附图及实施例对本实用新型作进一步说明。

请参阅图1至图7所示,本实用新型电连接器1包括设於中部的金属料带10(最好为铜合金料带)、包覆於金属料带10上下表面并收容端子12的绝缘本体22及若干排列为栅格状的端子12。
其中该绝缘本体22(最好为硅橡胶)是通过插入式内模成型包覆于金属料带10上表面16和下表面18上,其中该绝缘本体22设有若干个第一开口26及於第一开口26两侧的第二开口28及与第一开口26中部且与第二开口28相对齐的构造29。其中第一开口26比第二开口28大。其中该构造29包括与金属料带10成一定夹角的倾斜面292及水平顶端面294。
其中该端子12包括中部的主体部126及与主体部126相连的一对翼部122、124,其中该主体部126与该金属料带10在同一平面,该翼部122、124是沿绝缘本体22在端子主体部126上表面上端的的构造29及于端子主体部126下表面下端的构造30弯折而成,且其自由端部128、129弯折为与金属料带10相平行并与构造29、30的水平顶端面294相接触。
尽管在实施例中,绝缘本体包覆于铜合金料带外围可采用插入式内模成型,但是,也可采用其它方法,例如可将绝缘本体分成二层制成制成,然后粘贴到金属料带上而将金属料带夹持于其中。
另外,本实施例中,端子与金属料相互分隔,但也可以在制造过程中选择性地设置一导体将端子与金属料带相连,由此端子间可相互电性相连而成为电连接器的接地板。

Claims (6)

1.一种电连接器,包括绝缘本体及若干组设为栅格状的端子,其中端子收容于绝缘本体中,其特征在于:每个端子具有设于中部的纵长主体部及与其相连的横向翼部,绝缘本体设有若干与端子主体部相对应的构造,其中该端子翼部沿构造延伸设置且其自由端突出构造上、下表面以与对接电子元件电性连接,另外,绝缘本体上还设有邻近各自端子翼部的第一开口及若干个邻近各自端子主体部纵向末端的第二开口。
2.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:在每个与端子相应主体部相对应的构造包括倾斜面及水平顶面。
3.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体通过插入式内模成型包覆到端子上。
4.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体可分为粘贴在一起的上下绝缘本体层,且端子被夹持于上下绝缘本体层中。
5.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:若干个端子相互间电性相连。
6.根据权利要求1所述的电连接器,其特征在于:绝缘本体由弹性材料制成。
