可识别装在光盘播放机中的光盘类型的光盘播放机
本申请是申请日为1998年8月28日、申请号为98116966.X、发明名称为“具有可供光盘机识别其类型的专用码的光盘及其识别方法”的专利申请的分案申请。
技术领域
本发明涉及一种光盘播放机,尤其涉及一种用于识别装在光盘播放机中的光盘类型的光盘播放机。
背景技术
一台光盘播放机用来再现存储于光盘诸如CD(致密盘)、CD-ROM(致密盘只读存储器)、LD(激光盘)、MD(小型光盘)、DVD(数字视盘)等等中的数据。由于光盘的类型很多,光盘播放机须识别装入其中的光盘类型。尤其是即使用CD系列光盘又使用DVD系列光盘的DVD播放机,若不能正确判断装入其中的盘类型,可能不能准确地再现数据。
现在描述一种用于识别DVD播放机中使用的盘类型的方法。若用户将DVD系列光盘或CD系列光盘装入DVD播放机并关闭盘托架,DVD播放机将其操作模式设为CD模式并开始焦点搜索。在焦点搜索过程中,DVD播放机检查是否有焦点误差。若在镜头上下运动方向上分别产生两个焦点误差信号,则DVD播放机判定装入的光盘为双层盘。若只产生一个焦点误差,则判定装入的盘为单层盘。若聚焦过程结束,则DVD播放机转动主轴电机并检查由光拾取器的E/F光电二极管检测到的E和F信号间的相差。若相差为180°,则装入的盘被判定为CD系列盘,若没有相差,则装入的盘被认为是DVD系列盘。之后,DVD播放机检查盘的导入区,以便识别CD系列盘中的VCD盘,CD音频盘,以及DVD系列盘中的DVD单层盘、DVD双层盘。至此盘识别操作结束。此操作是由作为DVD播放机的主控制器的微机控制执行的。
同时,上述盘识别操作是一步步进行的,微机要运行多个步骤来检测盘的类型。因此其工作量增加,并耗用很长时间识别盘的类型。若盘识别程序一时结束不了,直到正常播放状态的等待时间会很长。另外,由于关于盘是双层还是单层的检查是通过利用焦点误差信号来完成的,而关于盘是CD系列还是DVD系列的识别是通过利用CD系列盘的轨距与DVD系列盘轨迹间距不同而获得E/F信号间的相差来完成的。因此,盘一旦出现划痕,盘播放机可能会错误地检测到盘的类型。考虑到将来要上市的光盘,识别盘的类型会变得很困难,并且极有可能错误地判断盘的类型。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种具有专用密码、可供光盘播放机确认其类型的光盘,一种用于识别装在光盘播放机中的光盘类型的光盘播放机,以及一种快速准确识别光盘类型的方法。
本发明的一个方面是光盘播放机使用的盘包括一个写有BCA代码的BCA(Burst Cutting Area:二进制位组截断区)代码区。该BCA代码区包括:一写有BCA报头的报头区;一写有BCA信息数据的信息数据区;一写有所述BCA信息数据的检错码的信息奇偶校验区;一写有指示所述盘类型的专用盘代码的盘代码区;一写有所述盘代码的检错码的盘代码奇偶校验区;一写有所述BCA信息数据、所述BCA信息数据的所述检错码、所述盘代码及所述盘代码的所述检错码的纠错码的纠错奇偶校验区;一写有BCA报尾的报尾区;其中所述BCA码区中按顺序排列着所述报头区、信息数据区、信息奇偶校验区、盘代码区、盘代码奇偶校验区、纠错奇偶校验区及报尾区。
该BCA码区位于盘引导区的最里端,代表写入BCA码的区域。虽然BCA码尚未被规定为某种特别用途,但它可作为盘标识(ID)。检错用的奇偶检验一般称为检错码(EDC),纠错用的奇偶校验被称为纠错码(ECC)。
本发明还提供一种用于识别装在光盘播放机中的光盘类型的光盘播放机,其中所述光盘具有二进制位组截断区(BCA,Burst Cutting Area),其存储包括指示盘类型的盘代码的BCA码,所述光盘播放机包括:光拾取器,用于从所述光盘检索包括所述BCA码的信息信号;放大器,用于放大包括所述BCA码的所述信息信号;数字信号处理器(DSP),用于解调包括所述BCA码的所述放大的信息信号;以及处理单元,用于从所述解调的放大的信息信号的所述BCA码提取所述盘代码,检索以前存储在其中的使多个盘代码对应多个不同类型的光盘的盘代码表,并且通过将所述盘代码与所述盘代码表进行比较来确定装在所述光盘播放机中的所述光盘的类型。
本发明的另一方面是一种识别盘播放机中盘类型的方法,其中包括步骤:当将盘装入所述光盘播放机时读取所述BCA码区内写入的数据;提取包含在所读取的数据中的盘代码;通过检索盘代码表,根据所提取的盘代码,确认所述盘的类型,在所述盘代码表中,盘代码与盘类型一一对应。
制造商将盘代码表存储在光盘播放机的非易失性存储器中。

具体实施方式
在以下描述中,许多特定细节,诸如BCA代码结构,处理流程,公式等有助于更全面地理解本发明,显然,对于本领域的技术人员而言没有这些技术细节同样会理解本发明。此外,一些众所周知的功能及结构未被提及以便突出本发明。
参照图1,光学拾取器102以光学方式拾取记录在盘中的信息并产生电转换后的信号RF(射频信号)。光拾取器102具有聚焦传动装置及轨迹跟踪传动装置。该聚焦传动装置在DSSP(数字伺服信号处理器)114的控制下运转,并将物镜移向光轴。轨迹跟踪传动装置向光盘100径向方向移动物镜以搜索轨迹。主轴电机在DSSP 114控制驱动下以CLV(恒定线速度)转动光盘100。滑板(sled)馈进电机106在DSSP 114的控制驱动下转动感光头102。
RF放大器108放大由感光头102接收的RF信号并形成一个放大的RF信号波形。RF放大器108在写入DSP 110(数字信号处理器)过程中提供调制信号并提供轨迹跟踪伺服信号及聚焦伺服信号给DSSP 114。若盘100是CD系列盘,则调制信号为EFM信号(8-14调制信号)。若盘100为DVD系列盘,则调制信号为EFM+信号。DSP 110解调由RF放大器108收到的信号并为解调信号纠错以便恢复信息数据。在这种情况下,DSP 110也恢复从盘100上的BCA代码区再现的BCA码。输出处理器112处理由DSP 110产生的数据并生成一个最终输出信号,如音频信号。由微机116控制的DSSP 114,响应从RF放大器和DSP 110收到的信号,控制感光头102的轨迹跟踪伺服和聚焦伺服、利用滑板馈进电机106的滑板伺服和主轴伺服。微机116作为主控制器,控制着光盘播放机的全部操作过程。
附图2示出普通BCA码结构。BCA码包括BCA报头200、BCA信息数据IBCA202、检错码EDCBCA204、纠错码ECCBCA206及BCA报尾208。该BCA码与相应的同步字节一同写入光盘。即,4字节的BCA报头200与BCA同部字节SBBCA共同写入盘中。BCA信息数据IBCA 202、检错码EDCBCA 204、纠错码ECCBCA206及BCA报尾208与BCA再同步字节RSBCA一起写入盘中。
该BCA信息数据IBCA 202(I0-I16n-5)可用下列公式(1)来表示。检错码EDCBCA204(ED0-ED3)是检查BCA信息数据IBCA 202的错误的奇偶校验,并可用输入数据IBCA(x)除以多项式G(x)所得的余数来表示。

另外,在附图2所示的BCA码结构中,有在BCA码区域中不用的再同步字节RSBCA1。即BCA码被写入光盘引导区中BCA码区域中,并且在BCA码区域中有未使用的再同步字节区域。在本发明中,包括盘代码的BCA码被写入盘中,因此,BCA码包括盘代码,在BCA码区域中具有该盘代码的盘在光盘机中进行正常的运行。
附图3展示的是根据本发明的BCA码结构。如图3所示的BCA码包括:BCA报头200,BCA信息数据IBCA202,检错码EDCBCA204,光盘代码IDDT210,检错码EDCDDT 212,纠错码ECCBCA 214及BCA报尾208。图3中,该BCA码包括附图2所示的BCD码,另外还包括盘代码IDDT 210和检错码EDCDDT212,而且修改了纠错码ECCBCA。该BCA码与相应的同步字节一起写入光盘。即,四字节BCA报头200与BCA同步字节SBBCA一同写入光盘。BCA信息数据IBCA202、检错码EDCBCA204、盘代码IDDT 210、检错码EDCDDT212,纠错码ECCBCA 214及BCA报尾208与BCA再同步字节RSBCA一起被写入光盘。据此,在BCA码中插入了盘代码IDDT 210和检错码EDCDDT212,纠错码ECCBCA 214和BCA报尾208紧随其后。由于现存的BCA码结构中包括未使用的再同步字节区域,上述的插入成为可能。
BCA信息数据IBCA 202(I0-I16n-5)用前述公式(1)表示。检错码EDCBCA204(ED0-ED3)是检查BCA信息数据IBCA 202差错的奇偶校验码,并用BCA信息数据IBCA 202除以多项式G(x)所得余数来表示,如上述公式(3)所示。

附图4所示是当写有BCA代码的光盘装入光盘播放机中时,利用盘代码识别光盘的过程。这个过程是在附图1所示微机116完成的。若在步骤400,具有BCA码区(该BCA码区中写有图3的BCA码)的光盘100被装入附图1所示的光盘播放机,则微机116在步骤402读取写在光盘100的BCA码区中的数据。该读取的数据由DSP 110恢复。在步骤404,微机116提取包含在经DSP读取的数据中的盘代码。在步骤406,微机116通过检索盘代码表,根据所提取的盘代码来确认盘的类型。盘代码表是由制造商通过预先将盘代码与盘类型一一对应而提供的,并且该盘代码表被存入微机116的非易失性存储器中。
因而,一个与盘类型相对应的专用盘代码被预先写入盘中,通过利用这一盘代码识别盘的类型。因此,装在光盘播放机中的光盘的类型能迅速准确地检查。由于盘代码及其检错码被插入到现存BCA码结构中未使用的再同步字节区,因此加入的码不会对现存BCA码造成影响,故所发明的盘可进行正常运行。
综上所述,装入光盘播放机中的光盘的类型,能通过利用BCA码中包含的盘代码迅速准确地检测到。
虽然本发明参照其某一优选实施例进行了描述,但本领域的技术人员可以理解到,在不脱离由附属权利要求所定义的本发明的精神和范围的情况下,可以作一些变化,这些变化可以是改变BCA码或盘代码的字节数也可以是提供不同的多项式或奇偶校验码。

Claims (2)

1.一种用于识别装在光盘播放机中的光盘类型的光盘播放机,其中所述光盘具有二进制位组截断区(BCA,Burst Cutting Area),其存储包括指示盘类型的盘代码的BCA码,所述光盘播放机包括:
光拾取器,用于从所述光盘检索包括所述BCA码的信息信号;
放大器,用于放大包括所述BCA码的所述信息信号;
数字信号处理器(DSP),用于解调包括所述BCA码的所述放大的信息信号;以及
处理单元,用于从所述解调的放大的信息信号的所述BCA码提取所述盘代码,检索以前存储在其中的使多个盘代码对应多个不同类型的光盘的盘代码表,并且通过将所述盘代码与所述盘代码表进行比较来确定装在所述光盘播放机中的所述光盘的类型。
2.根据权利要求1所述的光盘播放机,其中所述BCA码区按顺序包括:BCA报头,BCA信息,所述BCA信息的检错码,所述盘代码、所述盘代码的检错码、所述BCA信息、所述BCA信息的所述检错码、所述盘代码及所述盘代码的所述检错码的纠错码;并且所述处理单元确定在所述BCA信息的所述检错码之后和所述盘代码的所述检错码之前的所述盘代码。
