Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种用含锌金属给金属带镀层的镀锌槽和镀锌装置。更具体地,本发明涉及一种成形为可促使底部熔渣沉积在镀锌槽的收集区上的镀锌槽和镀锌装置,这样可以将熔渣一直保留直至清除掉,并且清除时不会影响镀锌操作。
背景技术
钢镀锌是用于防腐。将钢件浸入或穿过含锌金属的熔池给表面镀锌,这个过程称为“镀锌”,“热镀锌”或“热浸镀锌”。
当钢件是通常绕成卷的带状时,镀锌操作可以连续进行。钢带在进入熔池前先从卷上绕下,进行清洗、退火或其它准备工作。钢带由浸在熔池中的镀锌辊引导。钢带在镀锌辊下移动,然后从熔池中移出。
在镀锌过程中熔池里会形成熔渣。底部熔渣是熔渣的一种形式,主要为δ相(FeZn7)的铁锌金属间化合物。熔渣比熔融锌略重。熔渣在镀锌槽中形成时,最初很小,由于液体的流动悬浮在锌池中。然而,由于奥氏熟化,颗粒通常会长大,当达到临界尺寸就沉积在镀锌槽的底面上。
一旦大量的底部熔渣聚集,如钢带穿过镀锌槽时产生的涡流会移动聚集的底部熔渣的颗粒使其与钢带接触。这导致已镀锌的钢带上出现缺陷。这些有缺陷的产品必须废弃或以次品卖掉。
熔渣通常是定期从镀锌槽中清理掉。一般将熔渣从镀锌槽的底部舀出来。为此,由于熔渣沉积在熔池的整个底部,在清理熔渣时不得不停止镀锌操作。在连续操作时,这种停工时间会导致成本高,效率低。如果用一种不会引起镀锌带表面缺陷,又不影响镀锌操作的方式来消除熔渣是较为理想的。
现在,已经做了许多努力来减少底部熔渣。例如美国专利No.220768(1879年10月21日授权给Morewood)公开了一种双平面镀锌槽,其中镀锌槽的第一部分比第二部分深。镀锌槽的浅的部分在上端有一个挡板用来收集表面浮渣或熔渣,浮渣或熔渣是一种锌、锌的氧化物、铁铝锌金属间化合物的混合物。该专利没有讨论使用双平面镀锌槽来处理熔渣的问题。与本发明不同的是,镀锌在镀槽的深部分和浅部分都进行。
美国专利No.2159297(1932年7月授权给Shover)描述了一种镀金属的方法和装置。该专利公开了使用一根和镀室底部相连的管子,以允许清除沉积的底部熔渣。该专利并没有教导如何使用双平面镀槽促使熔渣沉积在一个远离镀锌区域的特定区域,以便熔渣不会降低镀层质量。
美国专利No.4275098(1981年6月23日授权给Gunji等人)描述了一种钢带连续热浸镀锌的方法和装置。该专利公开一种双段镀锌槽,其中进行金属镀层的第一段有一个倾斜的底面,底面上开有一个口通到较深的第二段。具有倾斜底面的镀锌室是为了使底部熔渣掉入深处的第二段,在那里与铝反应生成表面熔渣。不含底部熔渣的物质循环到镀锌室,用机械方法将表面熔渣除掉。该专利没有公开用任何方法来消除更深的室中的底部熔渣;相反,它还要求底部熔渣和铝反应生成表面熔渣。该专利还使用一个叶轮增加搅拌效果和促进底部熔渣和铝反应。这与本发明不同,本发明需要一个减小搅拌的收集区。而且,熔渣不会象该专利建议的那样顺着倾斜段滑下去,而是呆在落下的地方。这意味着熔渣不会在该专利装置的较深的段中聚集。熔渣沉积在熔融金属流速低的地方。该专利装置通过使熔渣在较深的段中混合并流过此段,不让熔渣在此处堆积。
美国专利No.4476805(1984年10月16日授权给Higuchi等人)描述了一种用熔融镀层金属给钢带的一侧进行镀层的装置。该专利公开了一种双平面熔槽。与本发明的浸镀法不同,该装置是一种喷镀器。该专利没有讨论双平面熔槽的优点。专利中既没有提出熔渣不太可能沉积在浅槽端的建议,也没有提出任何促使熔渣沉积在深槽端的建议。该发明装置在清除熔渣时必须停止镀锌操作。这和本发明正相反,本发明在钢带镀锌的同时可以消除熔渣。
美国专利No.5587017(1996年12月24日授权给Yamanaka等人)公开了一种生产金属镀覆的钢板的方法和装置。该专利教导如何利用位于浸辊下的镀锌槽浅区来促进熔渣在由升高的部分而形成的镀锌槽深区中的沉积。本发明浸辊的下方和前方设一个浅区。在浸辊前方留有一个浅区对阻止在此区域沉积熔渣是十分重要的。如果熔渣堆积在浸辊前方,必须停止镀锌操作来清除熔渣。根据本发明,熔渣只沉积在远离浸辊的后方深区,这样不用影响镀锌操作就可除去熔渣。在该专利中并没有公开或建议这种结构及其相关的优点。而且,该专利装置中的陡峭的边并没有建议用本发明中的斜坡,斜坡更利于清除熔渣,在该专利装置中,除渣装置可能会破坏陡峭的边。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种便于清除底部熔渣的镀锌槽和镀锌装置。
为实现本发明的上述目的,本发明提供了一种用含锌金属给金属带镀层的镀锌槽,包括一个镀锌区和一个收集区,所述的收集区不设有搅拌器、混和器和其它会使收集区的内含物产紊流的装置;在镀锌区和收集区之间有一个过渡区,其中所述的过渡区是斜的、所述的收集区比所述的镀锌区深,所述的收集区的尺寸和位置设成使得:所述的收集区仅位于所述的镀锌区的一侧;a.熔渣在所述的收集区聚集;b.底部熔渣在所述的收集区聚集;c.所述的含锌的熔融金属在所述的收集区环流的速度小于所述熔渣的最终速度;d.所述熔渣在不影响镀锌操作的情形下就可从所述的收集区中除去。
为实现本发明的上述目的,本发明还提供了一种镀锌装置,包括:一个镀锌槽,其特征在于所述的镀锌槽包括一个镀锌区和一个收集区,所述的收集区不设有搅拌器、混和器和其它会使收集区的内含物产生紊流的装置;在镀锌区和收集区之间有一个过渡区,其中所述的过渡区是斜的,所述的收集区比所述的镀锌区深,所述的收集区的尺寸和位置设成使得:a.所述的收集区仅位于所述的镀锌区的一侧;b.底部熔渣在所述的收集区聚集;c.所述的含锌的熔融金属在所述的收集区环流的速度小于熔渣的最终速度;d.熔渣从所述的收集区消除时不会影响镀锌操作;所述的镀锌装置还包括一个悬挂在所述的镀锌区上方的镀锌辊和一个除渣装置。

具体实施方式
如图1-图3所示,本发明的镀锌槽包括一个镀锌区12和一个收集区14。收集区14位于镀锌区的一侧且比镀锌区12更深。
在本专业中,镀锌槽是众所周知的。在本发明中可以使用任何镀锌槽的设计。只要镀锌槽由一个镀锌区12和一个收集区14构成就可以。典型地,镀锌槽包括一个金属壳16,里面内衬是耐火砖18和高温砂浆(图中未示出)。金属壳16最好由结构钢制成。本发明的镀锌槽10可由任何这类材料制成,这类材料必须有足够强度来容纳熔融金属,能抵抗熔池的操作温度(约为790°F到900°F)。
镀锌辊20一般从框架上悬下来,浸入到镀锌槽的熔融金属中。即将镀锌的金属带22进入镀锌槽10的熔池中,绕过镀锌辊20,然后从镀锌池10引出,再继续运行进行下一步工序。本发明的镀锌槽10对镀锌锌辊20的种类及镀锌工艺没有限制。任何在熔融的镀层金属液中含有锌的镀层工艺都可用在本发明的镀锌槽10中。
本发明的镀锌槽10包括一个镀锌区12,它是在镀锌辊20正下方的镀锌槽的一部分。镀锌槽中的镀锌区12比收集区14浅,使较高流速的熔融金属流过镀锌区。这种较高流速的熔融金属流减弱了底部熔渣的聚集,使任何形成的熔渣颗粒都悬浮在熔融的金属池中。由于液体循环,熔融的锌和熔渣颗粒都移到收集区14中。
本发明镀锌槽还包括位于镀锌区一侧的一个收集区14。收集区14比镀锌区深。深的收集区创造一个使熔融镀层金属液的流速小于熔渣颗粒的落速的地方,使熔渣颗粒在收集区沉积。镀锌槽的所述的深的收集区也为从镀锌区移过来的熔渣创造了一个聚集区,这样以后用除渣装置不影响镀锌操作就可除渣。为促使熔渣颗粒在收集区14沉积,避免在所述的收集区14中产生涡流是必要的。所以,收集区14不应设有任何搅拌器、混和器或其它提高流速的装置。
除渣装置是众所周知的,包括机械勺或泵装置。除渣装置最好是一个除渣泵24。如美国专利申请No.08/792,922中所描述的,该发明名称是“在镀锌或镀锌退火中清除或回收熔融金属中的底部熔渣的方法和装置”,发明人是Meneice,申请日为1996年6月19日。该申请结合在本发明中作为参考。
通常,镀锌区12的深度应减小而收集区14的深度应加大。镀锌区12的深浅是由镀锌辊20之类的镀锌装置限制的。镀锌区12必须足够深到能使金属带22充分浸入熔池中。优选地,镀锌区12深度为40″(1m)~100″(2.5m),深度更优选地为83.5″(2.1m)。收集区14的深度必须使熔融金属的流速减小到熔渣的落速以下,这样熔渣才能从熔池中沉积出来。收集区的深度受到清除收集在底部的熔渣能力的限制。优选地,收集区14深度在约52″(1.3m)到约130″(3.3m)间是较为理想的,如果除渣泵24用来除去收集的熔渣,那么更优选地,收集区14的深度比泵的长度多出约6″(15.2cm)。最优选地,收集区14的深度为约110.5″(2.8m)。优选地,收集区14与镀锌区12之间深度的比值在约1.1~1.5。最优选地,在约1.3∶1。
因为收集区14在镀锌区的一侧,不用干扰镀锌操作就可进行除渣操作。收集区14最好位于镀锌区12的后方。这意味着收集区14离从熔池中引出的金属带比离正在进入熔池的金属带更远。
镀锌槽10还包括一个过渡区,位于镀锌区12和收集区14之间,它可以是任何形状。比如,过渡区可以是从较浅的镀锌区12到较深的收集区14的一个成90°的台阶,最好是一个成一定角度的斜坡26。更优选地,斜坡与水平方向成约45°或更小的角度。最优选地,该角为约30°。除渣勺可更容易清理斜坡26,同成90°的陡峭的边相比,在用勺除渣时斜坡26不易被除渣勺砍削。
Claims (10)
1.一种用含锌金属给金属带镀层的镀锌槽,其特征在于包括一个镀锌区和一个收集区,所述的收集区不设有搅拌器、混和器和其它会使收集区的内含物产紊流的装置;在镀锌区和收集区之间有一个过渡区,其中所述的过渡区是斜的、所述的收集区比所述的镀锌区深,所述的收集区的尺寸和位置设成使得:
a.所述的收集区仅位于所述的镀锌区的一侧;
b.底部熔渣在所述的收集区聚集;
c.所述的含锌的熔融金属在所述的收集区环流的速度小于
所述熔渣的落速;
d.所述熔渣在不影响镀锌操作的情形下就可从所述的收集
区中除去。
2.如权利要求1所述的镀锌槽,其特征是所述的收集区与所述的镀锌区的深度之比为1.1-1.5。
3.如权利要求3所述的镀锌槽,其特征是深度之比为1.3∶1。

8.一种镀锌装置,包括:一个镀锌槽,其特征在于所述的镀锌槽包括一个镀锌区和一个收集区,所述的收集区不设有搅拌器、混和器和其它会使收集区的内含物产生紊流的装置;在镀锌区和收集区之间有一个过渡区,其中所述的过渡区是斜的,所述的收集区比所述的镀锌区深,所述的收集区的尺寸和位置设成使得:
a.所述的收集区仅位于所述的镀锌区的一侧;
b.底部熔渣在所述的收集区聚集;
c.所述的含锌的熔融金属在所述的收集区环流的速度小于熔渣
的落速;
d.熔渣从所述的收集区消除时不会影响镀锌操作;
所述的镀锌装置还包括一个悬挂在所述的镀锌区上方的镀锌辊;和一个除渣装置。
9.如权利要求8所述的镀锌装置,其特征是所述的除渣装置是一个舀勺。
10.如权利要求8所述的镀锌装置,其特征是所述的除渣装置是一个除渣泵。
11.如权利要求9所述的镀锌装置,其特征是所述的过渡区的倾斜度为与水平面成45°或小于45°的角,使得上述的舀勺可方便地清除收集区和过渡区积累的底部熔渣。
