Abstract
''POTE DE REVESTIMENTO PARA REVESTIR UMA TIRA METáLICA COM UM METAL CONTENDO ZINCO, E, APARELHO DE REVESTIMENTO''. Um pote de revestimento com zinco para galvanizar uma tira de aço possui dois níveis ao longo de sua superfície inferior. O primeiro nível mais raso é localizado sob um cilindro de revestimento, criando assim uma área onde a taxa de fluxo de metal de revestimento com zinco em fusão é relativamente alta. As partículas de escumalha permanecem suspensas e não acumulam no fundo do pote de revestimento de zinco nessa região. Um segundo nível mais profundo é localizado em um lado do primeiro nível. Esse segundo nível cria um espaço no qual a taxa de fluxo de metal em fusão é menor do que a velocidade terminal das partículas de escumalha. Isso encoraja a sedimentação da partículas de escumalha nessa região. Fornece uma área de acúmulo para qualquer escumalha de fundo a ser removida posteriormente por um mecanismo de remoção de escumalha, tal como colheres mecânicas ou por bombeamento, sem a interrupção do processo de revestimento.
