Abstract

Un crisol de revestimiento de zinc para galvanizar fleje de acero tiene dos niveles a lo largo de su superficie inferior. El primer nivel, de menorprofundidad, está ubicado bajo un rodillo de revestimiento, creándose de este modo un área donde elcau dal de metal de revestimiento de zinc fusionado esrelativamente alto. Las partículas de escoria quedan suspendidas y no se acumulan sobre el fondo del crisol de revestimiento con zinc en esta zona.Un segundo nivel más profundo está ubicado a unlado del primer nivel. Este segundo nivel crea un espacio en el que el caudal del metal fusionadoes menor que la velocidad terminal de las partículas de escoria. Esto favorece la sedimentacion de las partículas de escoria en esta zona. Proporcionaunárea de acumulacion para cualquier escoria de fondo a ser más tarde removida por un mecanismo de remocion de escoria, como ser cucharones mecánicoso por bombeo, sin interrupcion del procedimiento de revestimiento. El crisol de revestimiento tambiénse usa en un aparato de revestimiento.
