背景技术
如已知的那样,内燃发动机(优选地但非排他性地汽油发动机)设置有排气系统,该排气系统又包括排气后处理系统,排气后处理系统具有沿着排气管布置的微粒过滤器(也已知为汽油微粒过滤器);以及也沿着排气管布置的在微粒过滤器上游的催化转换器。根据优选实施例,催化转化器和微粒过滤器一个接一个地布置在共同的管状容器内*-。

微粒过滤器实际上起到类似于阻止微粒通过的机械屏障的作用,并且通常由平行于多孔壁并且被交替地阻塞的通道构成。阻塞迫使排气流动通过通道的侧壁,使得构成微粒的未燃烧颗粒首先被阻止在侧壁的孔隙中,然后当孔隙被完全填充时所述未燃烧颗粒积聚在通道壁的内表面上,从而形成多孔层。随着微粒不断积聚在通道壁的内表面上,微粒过滤器上的压降增加,由微粒过滤器产生的反压也增加。
微粒不能无限地积聚,因为过大量的积聚:
-会导致发动机的性能、驾驶性和消耗的恶化,在最坏的情况下情境直到发动机失速;以及
-在微粒的自燃和不受控制的燃烧的情况下,会导致微粒过滤器的破坏;事实上,在存在大量微粒积聚并且在特定的驱动条件下,可能发生“关键的”再生现象(“critical”regeneration phenomena),包括突然和不受控制的微粒燃烧,进而导致微粒过滤器内部产生高温以及由此造成对微粒过滤器本身的损坏。
因此,需要通过进行所谓的微粒过滤器的“再生”,即通过移除积聚的微粒,定期移除所捕获的微粒。
再生基本上可以分为:主动再生,即由电子控制单元控制的再生;以及自发再生,即在积聚阶段期间以不受控制和不可预见的方式产生的再生。
因此,在内燃发动机运行期间,可以在积聚阶段和再生阶段之间进行区分,所述积聚阶段即其中在微粒过滤器中存在微粒逐渐积聚并且没有主动再生而是最多只有自发再生的时间间隔,所述再生阶段即其中发生主动再生并且微粒过滤器中积聚的微粒量减少的时间间隔。
实验表明,捕获效率可以根据多个控制参数而变化,其中有在微粒过滤器中捕获的微粒量、在微粒过滤器中积聚的金属粉末量以及流动通过微粒过滤器的排气的体积流率(volume flow rate)。积聚在微粒过滤器中的金属粉末有助于提高微粒过滤器的捕获效率,因为金属粉末阻塞了具有构成微粒过滤器的多孔壁的通道,但是与微粒不同,金属粉末不能再生。
因此,在微粒过滤器中积聚的金属粉末量是极其重要的控制参数,以便在积聚阶段和微粒过滤器再生阶段之间获得正确的交替。
控制单元通常被设计成通过估算模型来确定在微粒过滤器中积聚的金属粉末量,该估算模型存储在控制单元本身内并使用由车辆所行驶的公里数。
然而,显而易见的是,上述类型的并且基于由车辆所行驶公里数的估算模型不够可靠,并且实际上可能导致低估或高估在微粒过滤器中积聚的金属粉末量,对微粒过滤器具有潜在的非常大的负面影响。
发明内容
本发明的目的是提供一种用于确定适于内燃发动机的微粒过滤器中积聚的金属粉末量的方法,该方法不受现有技术的缺点影响,同时实施起来容易且经济。
根据本发明,提供一种用于确定适于车辆内燃发动机的微粒过滤器中积聚的实际的金属粉末量的方法,其具有以下步骤:
使用测得的和/或给定的物理量,基于第一模型估算在微粒过滤器中捕获的金属粉末量的第一值;
基于第二模型测量在微粒过滤器中捕获的金属粉末量的第二值,该第二模型使用微粒过滤器端部处的由在微粒过滤器中捕获的金属粉末量所导致的压降,以及由内燃发动机产生并流入微粒过滤器的排气的体积流率;所述测量步骤包括以下子步骤:
-通过微粒过滤器端部处的差压传感器检测微粒过滤器端部处的压降;
-确定在微粒过滤器中捕获的微粒量;
-确定微粒过滤器端部处的由在微粒过滤器中捕获的微粒量所导致的压降;以及
-通过微粒过滤器端部处的压降与微粒过滤器端部处的由在微粒过滤器中捕获的微粒量所导致的压降之间的差异来计算微粒过滤器端部处的由在微粒过滤器中捕获的金属粉末量所导致的压降;
根据在微粒过滤器中捕获的金属粉末量的第二值来更新第一值;以及根据第一值的更新来确定在微粒过滤器中捕获的实际的金属粉末或灰量。

具体实施方式
在图1中,附图标记1指示作为整体的在机动车辆(未示出)中设置有排气系统2的内燃发动机。具体地,以下描述可以在具有直接喷射的内燃发动机1的情况下和在具有间接喷射的内燃发动机1的情况下发现有利的应用。
此外,根据优选实施例,以下描述在其中使用的燃料是汽油的内燃发动机1的情况下发现有利但非排他性的应用。
具体地,通过非限制性示例的方式,内燃发动机1是增压型发动机并且包括涡轮增压器3,涡轮增压器3由沿着进气管5布置的压缩机4和联接到压缩机4并且沿着排气管7布置的涡轮6形成,排气管7源自排气歧管。
内燃发动机1包括多个喷射器(未示出),喷射器将燃料喷射到布置成一排的相应的气缸(未示出)中,每个气缸容纳相应的活塞(未示出),该活塞机械地连接到驱动轴以便将由气缸内的燃烧产生的力传递到驱动轴本身。

排气系统2还设置有电子控制系统12,该电子控制系统12包括空气流率测量器13(空气流量计),其沿着进气管5布置并且设计成产生指示流入进气管5的空气流率的电信号;差压传感器14,其具有分别连接到微粒过滤器10的入口和出口的第一和第二入口,和提供指示微粒过滤器10端部处的压降ΔP的电信号的出口;温度传感器15,其布置在微粒过滤器10的出口处并提供指示从微粒过滤器10流出的排气温度TOUT的电信号;温度传感器16,其布置在微粒过滤器10的入口处并提供指示流入微粒过滤器10的排气温度TIN的电信号;大气压力传感器17;以及电子控制单元18,其连接到所述传感器13,14,15,16,17,并配置成确定微粒过滤器10中积聚的微粒量,并配置成在给定条件发生时例如当积聚的微粒量超过预定阈值时激活其再生。
微粒过滤器10实际上起到阻止微粒通过的机械屏障的作用,并且优选地由平行于多孔壁并被交替阻塞的通道构成,根据图2中示意性示出的那样。阻塞迫使排气流动通过通道的侧壁,使得构成微粒的未燃烧颗粒首先被阻止在侧壁的孔隙中,然后当这些孔隙被完全填充时,构成微粒的未燃烧颗粒积聚在通道壁的内表面上,从而形成多孔层。当微粒不断积聚在通道壁的内表面上时,微粒过滤器10上的压降ΔP增加,由微粒过滤器10产生的反压也增加。
需要通过进行所谓的微粒过滤器10的“再生”,即通过移除积聚的微粒,定期移除所捕获的微粒。再生基本上可被分为:主动再生,即由电子控制单元控制的再生;以及自发再生,即在积聚阶段期间以不受控制和不可预见的方式产生的再生。
因此,在内燃发动机1的运行期间,可以在积聚阶段和再生阶段之间进行区分,所述积聚阶段即其中在微粒过滤器10中存在微粒的逐渐积聚并且没有主动再生而是最多只有自发再生的时间间隔,以及所述再生阶段即其中发生由电子控制单元18控制的主动再生并且在微粒过滤器中积聚的微粒量减少的时间间隔。
根据图2,微粒过滤器10的质量平衡可表示如下:

ηGPF是微粒过滤器10的捕获效率。
实验表明,微粒过滤器10的效率ηGPF(或捕获效率ηGPF)可以根据多个控制参数而变化。其中,特别是,除了在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量和流动通过微粒过滤器10的排气的体积流率FEXH之外,还有在微粒过滤器10中积聚的金属粉末量
微粒过滤器10中积聚的金属粉末有助于提高微粒过滤器10的捕获效率ηGPF,因为金属粉末阻塞了具有构成微粒过滤器10的多孔壁的通道,但是与微粒不同,金属粉末不能再生。
根据图3,首先,电子控制单元18配置成估算由内燃发动机1产生的金属粉末(灰)量控制单元18有利地设计成,通过用于估算由内燃发动机1产生的金属粉末量的估算模型20,估算由内燃发动机1产生的金属粉末量估算模型20存储在控制单元18中并使用给定的物理量。
-内燃发动机1的旋转速度(rpm);
-内燃发动机1的负载(c);
-由内燃发动机1消耗的油量。
电子控制单元18还配置成估算在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量控制单元18有利地设计成,通过用于估算在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的估算模型21,估算在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量估算模型21存储在控制单元18中并使用测量的和/或给定的物理量。具体地,估算模型21设计成根据由车辆所行驶距离(即,公里数)来估算在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量
由内燃发动机1产生并流入微粒过滤器10的排气的体积流率可以通过所谓的lambda探针(lambda probe)(即UHEGO或UEGO线性氧传感器(UHEGO or UEGO linearoxygen sensor),其是已知的且未详细描述)来确定,lambda探针测量排气管7中的排气的空气/燃料比,并且在获知传感器操作特征的情况下能够确定排气的体积流率通常从气缸中捕获的空气质量的估算开始计算排气的体积流率气缸中捕获的空气质量的估算通过在由lambda探针传输的信号中包含的信息而添加到喷射到气缸中的燃料量。替代地,基于由空气流率测量器13传输的信号中包含的信息或者通过“空气充气(aircharge)”计算模型(其基于被吸入的空气流的温度和压力以及与内燃发动机1的旋转速度和气缸数一起)进行在气缸中捕获的空气质量的估算。
显而易见的是,为了在测量模型24内使用由差压传感器14提供并且指示微粒过滤器10端部处压降ΔP的电信号,在微粒过滤器10端部处的所述压降ΔP需要完全归因于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末而不会有在微粒过滤器10内部捕获的任何微粒,这共同导致由差压传感器14检测到的微粒过滤器10端部处的压降ΔP。
因此,电子控制单元18设计成确保在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量等于零。在发动机切断条件下,在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量通常等于零。实际上,实验已经表明,微粒过滤器10的自发再生是通过积聚的微粒的燃烧(氧化)获得的,所述微粒因为其主要由碳组成而与排气中存在的氧发生反应,从而转化成一氧化碳(CO)和二氧化碳(CO2)。为了使积聚的微粒的燃烧反应(氧化)自发地被激活,必须发生一些激活条件,特别是关于排气中存在的氧气的流率和流入微粒过滤器10的排气的温度TIN(具体地,流入微粒过滤器10的排气的温度TIN必须在500℃-600℃的范围内)。这些激活条件在内燃发动机1的正常运行条件下不经常发生,而是总是在发动机切断条件下满足这些激活条件,即当在释放阶段中断向喷射器的燃料输送时(即,当加速器踏板完全抬起并且内燃发动机1被车轮拖动时)满足这些激活条件。
实际上,在排气的空气/燃料比(λ=1)的化学计量条件下,排气中存在的氧化剂(氧气)流率不允许积聚微粒的燃烧反应(氧化)自发地被激活。
在空气/燃料当量比为稀的情况下,即当排气的当量比λ(即,排气的空气/燃料比与在化学计量条件下的排气的空气/燃料比之间的比率)小于1时,则存在过量的燃料,并且排气中的氧化剂(氧气)不允许积聚微粒的燃烧反应(氧化)自发地被激活。
另一方面,在空气/燃料当量比为富的情况下,即当排气的当量比λ(即排气的空气/燃料比与在化学计量条件下的排气的空气/燃料比之间的比率)大于1时,排气中存在过量的氧化剂(氧气),这允许积聚微粒的燃烧反应(氧化)自发地被激活。
因此,显而易见的是,在发动机切断条件下,通过中断向喷射器的燃料输送,可获得可用于微粒过滤器10中积聚微粒的自发燃烧反应(氧化)的排气中存在的氧气流率的最大值。
在发动机切断结束时,其持续时间至少等于预定的持续时间值Δt,电子控制单元18识别出在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量等于零,并且因此,由差压传感器14检测到的微粒过滤器10端部处的压降ΔP完全归因于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末。
更详细地,在主动再生阶段结束时,其持续时间至少等于预定持续时间值Δt*,电子控制单元18识别在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量等于零,并且因此,由差压传感器14检测到的微粒过滤器10端部处的压降ΔP完全归因于捕获在微粒过滤器10中的金属粉末。
备选地,控制单元18设计成通过计算模型确定在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量该计算模型存储在电子控制单元18中并使用测得的和/或给定的物理量。具体地,计算模型通常被分成针对在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量的估算模型和/或测量模型。估算模型和测量模型都使用测得的和/或给定的物理量。
在电子控制单元18内部存储有映射,该映射根据微粒过滤器10端部处压降ΔP和由内燃发动机1产生的排气的体积流率提供在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量通过所述映射的数学反演(mathematical inversion),可以根据在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量和由内燃发动机1产生的排气的体积流率获得微粒过滤器10端部处的由在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量所导致的压降ΔP*。
如果由差压传感器14检测到的微粒过滤器10端部处的实际压降ΔP超过压降ΔP*,则这意味着所述两个值(微粒过滤器10端部处的实际压降ΔP和压降ΔP*)之间的差异是由于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末所导致的。
一旦已经检测到在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量或者已经识别出在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量等于零的条件,则电子控制单元18就可以根据微粒过滤器10端部处的压降ΔP和由内燃发动机1产生并流入微粒过滤器10的排气的体积流率来计算在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的测量值。
由测量模型24产生的信号用于更新在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的实际估算值。该方法基本上涉及根据在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的测量值来更新在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的实际估算值。具体地,在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的实际估算值等于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的测量值。因此,电子控制单元18设计成在处理块25的内部确定在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的实际(或真实)值,处理块25接收作为输入的在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的测量值和在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的实际估算值。
根据第一变型,在识别出捕获的微粒量等于零的条件的情况下,可以由电子控制单元使用在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的实际(或真实)值作为控制变量来更新用于确定在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量的计算模型26。具体地,一旦已经确定由于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末所导致的实际压降ΔP,则所述实际压降ΔP就可被用于更新压降ΔP,另一方面,压降ΔP是由于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的微粒量所导致的。
类似地,如上所述,因为实验已经表明,除了其他方面之外,微粒过滤器10的效率ηGPF(或捕获效率ηGPF)也根据微粒过滤器10中积聚的金属粉末量是可变的,可以通过电子控制单元18使用在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末量的实际(或真实)值作为控制变量以便在处理块27中更新微粒过滤器10的效率ηGPF的值。
具体地,电子控制单元18配置成确定(和/或估算)归因于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末的微粒过滤器10的效率ηGPF的分量。
更详细地,在电子控制单元18内部存储映射,其在根据微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末或灰的表示微粒过滤器10透过性的校准矢量上,提供仅由于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末或灰的微粒过滤器10的效率ηGPF的附加贡献。
一旦已经计算出归因于在微粒过滤器10中捕获的金属粉末的微粒过滤器10的效率ηGPF的分量,就可以更新微粒过滤器10的估算模型和/或效率ηGPF的计算,以便确定归因于实际微粒的微粒过滤器的效率ηGPF的分量。
从以上描述,本文描述的方法的优点是显而易见的。
Claims (11)
基于第二模型(24)测量在微粒过滤器(10)中捕获的金属粉末量的第二值,该第二模型(24)使用在微粒过滤器(10)端部处的由在微粒过滤器(10)中捕获的金属粉末量所导致的压降(ΔP1),以及由内燃发动机(1)产生并流入微粒过滤器(10)的排气的体积流率所述测量步骤包括以下子步骤:
-通过微粒过滤器(10)端部处的差压传感器(14)检测微粒过滤器(10)端部处的压降(ΔP2);
-通过微粒过滤器(10)端部处的压降(ΔP2)与微粒过滤器(10)端部处的由在微粒过滤器(10)中捕获的微粒量所导致的压降(ΔP3)之间的差异来计算微粒过滤器(10)端部处的由在微粒过滤器(10)中捕获的金属粉末量所导致的压降(ΔP1);
4.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其特征在于使用诸如车辆所行驶的公里数的物理量、基于第一模型(20,21,22,23)来确定所述第一值。
6.根据权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于所述发动机切断条件在预定持续时间内保持一段时间(Δt)。
8.根据权利要求7所述的方法,其特征在于所述微粒过滤器(10)的主动再生步骤具有至少等于预定值(Δt*)的持续时间。
