Abstract

本发明提供一种连接器以及其制造方法,能够防止装配后的热变形造成的安装不良,提高连接器的可靠性。连接器(10)是将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件(20)、(22)彼此通过压入或者经由粘合剂来相互固定而成。在邻接的连接器零件(20)、(22)的边界部分(p)处,形成至少一个熔接部(32),对所述连接器零件(20)、(22)彼此因热造成的变形进行限制。

连接器以及其制造方法
技术领域
本发明涉及一种连接器(connector)以及其制造方法,尤其涉及一种将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件通过压入或通过粘合剂来予以固定而成的连接器。
背景技术
近年来的电子设备正急速推进薄型化,伴随于此,对连接器的薄型、小型化的期望也逐渐变大。为了应对所述期望,将预先制作为模块(module)的多个连接器零件予以装配而一体化的结构正在增加。作为一例,可列举:将作为连接器零件的嵌插(insert)零件、与独立于此而制造的作为另一连接器零件的壳体(housing)予以装配而一体化的情况,所述嵌插零件嵌入有包含导电性金属的端子的一部分。
以往,在使分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件结合时,是通过下述方式来进行,即,将连接器零件彼此通过压入而固定,或者,将各连接器零件形成为进行间隙配合的尺寸,向形成在其彼此间的间隙内涂布粘合剂以将两者固定。例如,在下述专利文献1中,关于所述图6而揭示了:以使端子部分地嵌入的方式来使铸模(mold)部成形后,使另行成形的框状的铸模部嵌合而制造母侧连接器。

发明内容
[发明所要解决的问题]
然而,如此那样装配的连接器在随后的粘合剂干燥步骤或回流(reflow)步骤中会受到加热,有时会因此时的热而变形,近年来,随着连接器的薄型、小型化,刚性下降而变得容易变形,除此以外,无铅焊料的适用事例增加而加热温度上升,因此所述变形量也增大。
当将两个以上的连接器零件通过压入而固定时,在回流步骤中例如要露晒于250℃的温度环境下,因此会因连接器零件间的相对的热变形,而产生经固定的零件彼此的位置偏离或连接器的扭曲。
另一方面,在通过间隙配合而装配时,粘合剂必须耐受回流步骤时的例如250℃的温度,因此选择具有耐热性者,例如使用环氧(epoxy)系粘合剂。对于环氧系粘合剂,例如有在约150℃固化的热固化型和双组份的化学反应型,但无论哪种,都会引起因粘合剂自身造成的膨胀、体积收缩,因此会引起连接器的变形。而且,热固化型粘合剂具有随着温度上升而体积膨胀且粘度下降的性质,因此,在达到热固化型粘合剂的固化温度之前的期间,连接器会发生变形,粘合剂容易从变形的部位漏出,并保持漏出的状态固化,因此会在功能上、外观上造成问题。
如此,经由压入或者粘合剂而固定的两个以上的连接器零件在置于高温环境中时,会分别热膨胀,因此连接器整体发生变形,而以经固定的零件的相互位置发生偏离的状态或者连接器扭曲的状态而安装,因此成为安装不良的原因。
因此,本发明的目的在于提供一种连接器以及其制造方法,能够防止因装配后的热变形造成的安装不良,提高连接器的可靠性。
[解决问题的技术手段]
本发明是一种连接器,是将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件彼此通过压入或通过粘合剂来相互固定而成,所述连接器的特征在于,在邻接的连接器零件的边界部分,形成有对所述连接器零件彼此因热造成的变形进行限制的至少一个熔接部。
另外,在本发明的连接器中,优选的是,熔接部是形成为线状。
此时,更优选的是,在邻接的连接器零件中的其中一个连接器零件上形成凹部或开口部,并且将另一个连接器零件收容、配置于凹部或开口部内,由此,边界部分呈环状延伸,线状的熔接部是遍及环状的边界部分的整周而形成。
或者,优选的是,熔接部是形成为点状。
此时,更优选的是,点状的熔接部是彼此空开间隔而设有多个。
进而,更优选的是,连接器包括包含导电性金属的多个触点,在所述触点间形成有点状的熔接部。
本发明是一种连接器的制造方法,其特征在于,将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件彼此通过压入而相互固定,对邻接的连接器零件的边界部分照射激光,由此,形成对连接器零件彼此因热造成的变形进行限制的至少一个熔接部。
本发明是一种连接器的制造方法,其特征在于,使粘合剂介隔在分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件间,对邻接的连接器零件的边界部分照射激光,由此,形成对连接器零件彼此因热造成的变形进行限制的至少一个熔接部。
在本发明的连接器的制造方法中,优选的是,将熔接部形成为线状。
此时,更优选的是,在邻接的连接器零件中的其中一个连接器零件上形成凹部或开口部,并且将另一个连接器零件收容、配置于凹部或开口部内,由此,使边界部分呈环状延伸,将线状的熔接部遍及环状的边界部分的整周而形成。
或者,优选的是,熔接部是形成为点状。
此时,更优选的是,使点状的熔接部彼此空开间隔而形成多个。
进而,更优选的是,在连接器中设置包含导电性金属的多个触点,在所述触点间形成点状的熔接部。
进而,优选的是,由相对于在形成熔接部时所照射的激光而比连接器零件难熔融的金属来形成触点,或者在触点的表面,设置相对于在形成熔接部时所照射的激光而比连接器零件难熔融的导电性金属层。例如,作为连接器的导电性金属材料或导电性金属层的材料,可使用对激光的吸收率比连接器零件的树脂材料低的材料,或者使用熔点高的材料,或者使用吸收率低且熔点高的材料。
[发明的效果]
根据本发明的连接器,当在装配后的粘合剂干燥步骤中加热至例如150℃,或者在回流步骤中加热至例如250℃时,连接器零件虽要发生热变形(热膨胀),但由于邻接的连接器零件彼此经由熔接部而相互接合,因此使热变形相互限制,其结果,能够防止连接器零件彼此的位置偏离或连接器的扭曲,能够防止粘合剂从邻接的连接器零件的边界部分漏出,并且可获得优异的安装精度。
而且,根据本发明的连接器的制造方法,能够容易地制造防止装配后的热变形造成的安装不良而提高了可靠性的连接器。

以下,基于附图来详细说明本发明的实施方式。此处,图1是从底面侧表示依据本发明的一实施方式的连接器的立体图,图2是图1的连接器的正面图,图3是沿着图2中的A-A线的剖面图,图4是从底面侧表示在图1的连接器中,组装绝缘性树脂体之前的壳体本体的立体图。
图1以及图2所示的连接器10是插座连接器(receptacle connector)10,所述插座连接器10被固定在便携式设备或信息设备等电子设备内的基板上,连接于沿着嵌合方向X而插入的未图示的对象连接器,且连接器10主要包括:壳体14,在前部具有用于与对象连接器连接的嵌合口12;多个长条状的触点16,前端部为了与对象连接器的触点接触而露出于嵌合口12内,且后端部为了与基板连接而露出至壳体14之外;以及罩(cover)18,配置于壳体14的底面侧。

壳体本体20如图4中表示组装绝缘性树脂体22及触点16之前的状态那样,具有:多个槽部24,在底面侧沿着嵌合方向X延伸,用于收容触点16;以及凹部26,与所述槽部24的后端部相连,沿着相对于嵌合方向X的交叉方向Y延伸,用于收容绝缘性树脂体22。
各槽部24可设为与收容于其中的触点16的宽度和长度对应的宽度、长度,在其前端部,为了使触点16露出至嵌合口12内而形成有开孔24a(参照图3)。而且,优选的是,在槽部24的形成区域的侧缘以及前缘的外侧,保留有接合罩18时的空余部28。槽部24的形成区域后缘侧的空余部是通过在壳体本体20的凹部26内配置绝缘性树脂体22,而由所述绝缘性树脂体22的底面部分所形成。
凹部26是构成为,超过槽部24的形成区域而朝交叉方向Y延伸,且在其内部形成有使凹部26的宽度(嵌合方向X的长度)及长度(交叉方向Y的长度)变小的阶部26a,以与绝缘性树脂体22的后述的凸缘部22a的上表面抵接。
绝缘性树脂体22如图5(a)及图5(b)表示组装到壳体本体20之前的状态那样,沿着交叉方向Y而形成,在其内部嵌入触点16的前端部和后端部之间的中间部而保持所有触点16。在绝缘性树脂体22的底面侧,铺设有凸缘部22a,所述凸缘部22a抵接于壳体本体20的凹部26内所形成的阶部26a的下表面。
如图3所示,绝缘性树脂体22是以间隙配合状态而配置或者压入至壳体本体20的凹部26内。在将绝缘性树脂体22间隙配合至凹部26内的情况下,是使粘合剂介隔在所述相互间的间隙来固定两者。粘合剂除了通过加热而固化的热固化型以外,还可使用干燥固化型、双组份反应型、光固化型的粘合剂等。作为适宜的粘合剂的一例,可列举热固化型环氧系粘合剂。
如图1以及图3所示,罩18包含热塑性树脂或热塑性弹性体,且形成为薄板状。作为罩18的材料,例如可列举聚酰胺树脂、聚乙烯树脂、聚丙烯树脂、聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯树脂、聚对苯二甲酸丁二醇酯树脂、聚苯醚树脂、聚苯乙烯树脂、耐冲击性聚苯乙烯树脂、氢化聚苯乙烯树脂、聚丙烯苯乙烯树脂、ABS树脂、AS树脂、AES树脂、ASA树脂、SMA树脂、聚甲基丙烯酸烷基酯树脂、聚甲基丙烯酸甲酯树脂、聚碳酸酯树脂、聚酯树脂、聚苯硫醚、液晶聚合物、苯乙烯系热塑性弹性体、烯烃系热塑性弹性体、聚酯系热塑性弹性体、聚氨酯系热塑性弹性体、PVC系热塑性弹性体等,在各种材料中,也可混炼玻璃纤维或矿物等以作为强化材。
罩18可通过激光透射熔接法(Laser Transmission Welding)而接合于壳体14底面的空余部28。因此,罩18优选以对激光的吸收率比壳体14(壳体本体20以及绝缘性树脂体22)对激光的吸收率低的方式而形成。由此,通过从罩18侧对罩18与壳体14的边界面照射激光,从而能够在所述边界面或其附近形成熔接部30,以将罩18与壳体14予以接合。而且,为了阻断嵌合口12的内部与壳体14的外部经由槽部24的连通以确保防水性,熔接部30优选形成为汇集起来围绕槽部24的环状。
图6表示连接器10的底面侧,在邻接的连接器零件的边界部分p,即,在绝缘性树脂体22的边缘与壳体本体20的边界部分p处,形成有将绝缘性树脂体22及壳体本体20间予以接合以彼此限制(约束)热变形的至少一个(图示例中为两个)熔接部32。熔接部32例如可通过激光照射而形成。
当将如此那样构成的连接器10在装配后于粘合剂干燥步骤中加热至例如150℃,或者在回流步骤中加热至例如250℃时,绝缘性树脂体22以及壳体本体20虽要发生热变形(热膨胀),但由于绝缘性树脂体22与壳体本体20经由熔接部32而接合,因此相互限制热变形,其结果,能够防止绝缘性树脂体22以及壳体本体20相互的位置偏离或连接器10的扭曲,从而能够防止粘合剂从绝缘性树脂体22以及壳体本体20的边界部分p漏出,并且能够获得优异的安装精度。
另外,图示例中,熔接部32为点状且形成在邻接的触点16的后端部间,但也可通过将触点16以不与边界部分p干涉的方式来配置而形成为线状。在熔接部32为点状的情况下,由于绝缘性树脂体22与壳体本体20也接触,所述接触面成为密封(seal)面,因此也能够获得粘合剂的防漏效果,通过将熔接部32形成为线状,能够扩大密封范围,从而能够提高粘合剂的防漏效果。为了进一步提高所述防漏效果,熔接部32也可在边界部分p的整周连续地形成。在通过熔接部32而接合的零件彼此不处于同一平面的情况、或担心激光照射时造成零件热变形的情况下,优选的是形成热负载少的点状的熔接部32。或者,也可将绝缘性树脂体22与壳体本体20暂时利用激光来进行点焊以限制变形,随后遍及整周形成连续的熔接部32。在形成点状的熔接部32的情况下,装配后的粘合剂干燥步骤或回流步骤时的热变形为线膨胀,因此基于有效地限制所述热变形的观点,优选的是,并非形成在边界部分p的两个边会合的角部,而是形成在变形更大的中央部(角部与角部之间)。
接下来,对依据本发明的一实施方式的连接器的制造方法进行说明。此处,取制造图1~图6所示的连接器10的方法为例来进行说明。
首先,第1步骤是零件准备步骤,在所述步骤中,准备壳体本体20与绝缘性树脂体22,所述壳体本体20具有嵌合口12、槽部24以及凹部26,所述绝缘性树脂体22嵌入保持多个触点16。壳体本体20例如可使用所述绝缘性树脂材料并通过射出成形等来制造。绝缘性树脂体22可通过下述方式来制造,即:使多个触点16沿着彼此相同的方向(嵌合方向X)且在交叉方向Y上隔开规定间隔而配置,并且,将这些触点16作为嵌插材,在触点16的前端部与后端部之间的中间部的周围,使绝缘性树脂材料嵌插成型。
紧接着的第2步骤是零件配置步骤,在所述步骤中,在壳体本体20的凹部26内配置绝缘性树脂体22,并且将保持于绝缘性树脂体22的触点16插入至各槽部24内。绝缘性树脂体22是压入至壳体本体20的凹部26内,或者间隙配合至壳体本体20的凹部26内,并且使粘合剂介隔在与凹部26的间隙内。粘合剂可预先涂布于壳体本体20的凹部26或绝缘性树脂体22的外表面或者这两者上。
第3步骤是熔接部形成步骤,在所述步骤中,对绝缘性树脂体22的边缘与壳体本体20的边界部分p照射激光,以形成熔接部32。作为照射的激光,例如可列举二氧化碳激光(波长约10600nm)、Nd:YAG激光(波长约1064nm)、Nd:YVO4激光的二次谐波即绿激光(波长约532nm)、二极管(diode)激光(波长约800nm、840nm或950nm)、准分子(excimer)激光(波长约193nm)等。
如图7中表示熔接工艺的流程图那样,将绝缘性树脂体22通过压入或者间隙配合而装配至壳体本体20后,在熔接部32的形成时,首先,以绝缘性树脂体22与壳体本体20的相对位置不会偏离的方式进行按压、定位。此时,在压入的情况下,在绝缘性树脂体22的装配后,壳体本体20的形状有可能发生变形,因此对绝缘性树脂体22或壳体本体20进行加压而保持为应有的形状,进行激光照射。所谓“应有的形状”,是指再现加热时的绝缘性树脂体22以及壳体本体20的容许范围内的膨胀的形状,一边将所述形状与实际形状的差异反馈给所述定位以及加压一边利用激光进行熔接。
而且,树脂在加热时,会产生黑烟、阻燃剂的气化成分等不期望的气体。所述气体不仅会污损零件自身,而且在气体状态下会对激光造成遮挡、散射,若附着于透镜,则有时还会引起熔接不良。为了应对此现象,在通过激光照射来形成熔接部32时,优选的是,一边对激光照射位置附近喷吹空气以去除挥发成分,一边进行激光熔接。
当通过激光照射来形成熔接部32时,在绝缘性树脂体22与壳体本体20的边界部分p上存在遮挡激光的触点16的情况下,激光有可能对触点16造成不良影响,并且有可能会发生熔融的树脂、挥发成分附着于触点16的问题。为了避免此类问题,例如,能够以激光仅照射至邻接的触点16间的方式来间歇地照射激光,或者,使激光呈一直线地连续扫描,但使触点16由相对于激光而比绝缘性树脂体22以及壳体本体20难熔融的金属所形成,或者,在触点16的表面,设置相对于激光而比绝缘性树脂体22以及壳体本体20难熔融的导电性金属层。具体而言,优选的是,采用对触点16表面实施镀金等而难以对激光反应(难以吸收激光)的结构,或者实施镀Cr等以提高触点16的熔点。而且,作为激光侧进行的设计,通过使用长波长的激光,或者将激光的输出抑制得较低,或者提高扫描速度,也能够将能量密度调整为虽能进行树脂的熔接,但金属不会反应的程度。
第4步骤是罩接合步骤,在所述步骤中,在壳体14的底面侧配置罩18以覆盖槽部24,并且将罩18接合于壳体14。所述接合优选通过激光透射熔接法(Laser TransmissionWelding)来进行,具体而言,从罩18侧朝向罩18与壳体14的边界面照射激光,使所述边界面或其附近熔融而固接。将罩18与壳体14予以接合的熔接部30优选的是以汇集起来围绕槽部24的方式而形成为环状,据此,能够阻断嵌合口12与连接器10的外部经由槽部24的连通,从而对连接器10赋予防水性。另外,第3步骤与第4步骤也可依照相反的顺序来进行。
根据包含此种步骤的连接器10的制造方法,能够容易地制造防止装配后的热变形造成的安装不良,从而提高了可靠性的连接器10。
以上,基于附图示例对本发明进行了说明,但本发明并不限定于所述实施方式,可在权利要求书的记载内进行各种变更、追加等。例如,所述实施方式中,在绝缘性树脂体22与壳体本体20的边界部分p上形成有两个熔接部32,但熔接部32的数量并不限于此,也可为一个,还可设置三个以上。而且,所述实施方式中,采用了将绝缘性树脂体22配置于壳体本体20底面的凹部26内的结构,但也可在壳体本体20的后部设置连向嵌合口12的开口部,将埋设有触点16的绝缘性树脂体22通过压入,或者进行间隙配合并经由粘合剂而固定在所述开口部内。
[产业上的可利用性]
如此,根据本发明,能够提供一种可防止装配后的热变形造成的安装不良,从而使连接器的可靠性提高的连接器以及其制造方法。

Claims (10)

1.一种连接器,是包括包含导电性金属的多个触点,且将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件彼此通过压入或通过粘合剂来相互固定而成,并安装在电子设备内的基板上,所述连接器的特征在于,
在所述连接器零件装配后的粘合剂干燥步骤及/或回流步骤中受到加热的连接器中,在邻接的连接器零件的边界部分,形成有对所述连接器零件彼此因加热时的热造成的变形进行限制的至少一个熔接部,所述熔接部具有在所述触点间形成的点状的熔接部。
2.根据权利要求1所述的连接器,其特征在于,
所述熔接部具有线状的熔接部。
3.根据权利要求2所述的连接器,其特征在于,
在所述邻接的连接器零件中的其中一个连接器零件上形成凹部或开口部,并且将另一个连接器零件收容、配置于所述凹部或所述开口部内,由此,所述边界部分呈环状延伸,
所述线状的熔接部是遍及环状的所述边界部分的整周而形成。
4.根据权利要求1所述的连接器,其特征在于,
所述点状的熔接部是彼此空开间隔而设有多个。
5.一种连接器的制造方法,所述连接器是将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件彼此通过压入来相互固定而成,并安装在电子设备内的基板上,且在所述连接器零件装配后的回流步骤中受到加热的连接器,所述连接器的制造方法的特征在于,
设置包含导电性金属的多个触点,且将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件彼此通过压入而相互固定,
对邻接的连接器零件的边界部分照射激光,由此,形成对所述连接器零件彼此因加热时的热造成的变形进行限制的至少一个熔接部,所述熔接部具有在所述触点间形成的点状的熔接部。
6.一种连接器的制造方法,所述连接器是将分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件彼此通过粘合剂来相互固定而成,并安装在电子设备内的基板上,且在所述连接器零件装配后的粘合剂干燥步骤中受到加热的连接器,所述连接器的制造方法的特征在于,
设置包含导电性金属的多个触点,且使粘合剂介隔在分别包含树脂的两个以上的连接器零件间,
对邻接的连接器零件的边界部分照射激光,由此,形成对所述连接器零件彼此因加热时的热造成的变形进行限制的至少一个熔接部,所述熔接部具有在所述触点间形成的点状的熔接部。
7.根据权利要求5或6所述的连接器的制造方法,其特征在于,
所述熔接部具有线状的熔接部。
8.根据权利要求7所述的连接器的制造方法,其特征在于,
在所述邻接的连接器零件中的其中一个连接器零件上形成凹部或开口部,并且将另一个连接器零件收容、配置于所述凹部或所述开口部内,由此,使所述边界部分呈环状延伸,
将所述线状的熔接部遍及环状的所述边界部分的整周而形成。
9.根据权利要求5或6所述的连接器的制造方法,其特征在于,
使所述点状的熔接部彼此空开间隔而形成多个。
10.根据权利要求5或6所述的连接器的制造方法,其特征在于,
由比所述连接器零件难以被激光熔融的金属来形成所述触点,或者在所述触点的表面,设置比所述连接器零件难以被激光熔融的导电性金属层,所述激光为在使激光呈一直线地连续扫描来形成所述熔接部时所照射的激光。
