Abstract
本发明提出了一种易于分散在水中的高流动性
喷雾干燥颗粒状织物柔化组合物。该组合物包括:
(a)约5~40%(重量)的一种阳离子季铵柔化化
合物;
(b)约0.5~15%(重量)的一种阴离子和/或非
离子洗涤化合物;和
(c)约45~85%(重量)的尿素;余量为水。
Description
本发明涉及高流动性的,喷雾干燥浓缩的颗粒状织物柔化组合物,其易于在水中分散,本发明还涉及该组合物的制备方法及用途。本发明尤其涉及一种高效织物柔化组合物,其便于使用并含有相当高比例的阳离子织物柔软剂,同时其可节省包装和运输费用。
在美国和欧洲,用于家用洗衣机的织物柔软或精整组合物有广阔的广场。这些组合物通常为水溶液,含有阳离子季铵化合物为主要活性成份,在洗衣时使用它们可使被处理的织物柔软。典型的这些织物柔软剂(该类柔化组合物的俗称)含有约5~8%的活性阳离子柔化化合物。美国的洗衣机装有约65升水,在漂洗循环时通常加入约90g 6%活性液体织物柔软剂以取得满意的柔化效果。
但是液体织物柔软剂确实有其固有的缺点。可引入水相的活性阳离子季铵化合物的量常常受到季铵化合物的溶解度、最终产品的稳定性及流动性等性质的限制。常用于漂洗时加入的织物柔化组合物含有季铵化合物,典型的为具有两条长烷基链的(季铵化合物),它们基本上是非水溶性物质,因此柔化组合物通常为水分散液或乳浊液。随之而来的是,在通常高于6%(重量)的活性阳离子柔化化合物的较高浓度下,在产品配方、稳定性(即产品的分层),凝胶形成及水分散性等方向很可能发生问题。当季铵化合物重量浓度高于约9%时,水相液体柔软剂的粘度和稳定性对于商品化这一目的而言常常是难以令人满意的。
市售的液体织物柔软剂还有其经济上的不利因素。这主要关系到含有相对较低量的活性柔化组份的瓶装稀释水溶液产品的实际包装及运输费用。包装还带来了环境问题。在美国和欧洲,消费者希望使用易于生物降解的可重复使用的包装材料,这与通常用于家用液体产品的塑料容器的制造和处理常常发生矛盾。因此,在本技术领域需要颗粒状织物柔软组合物,它能包含相对较高浓度的活性柔化组份并且包装经济。
专利文献中已对粉末状的织物柔软剂进行了描述。美国专利US2,940,816描述了一种粉末状织物柔软剂,它含有指定的季铵化合物和尿素的组合物。美国专利US3,256,180描述了一种制备织物柔软剂的方法,该方法包括:在水的存在下,使尿素与季铵化合物反应,从而得到粒状产品。在美国专利US3,356,526和3,573,091中Woldman等提出了一种粉末状季铵柔软剂的制备方法,其中包括将季铵化合物溶液向颗粒载体,如尿素或三聚磷酸钠,喷雾以得到包有柔软剂的载体颗粒。
David在美国专利US4,27,558中公开了含有季铵化合物、尿素和钙皂,如钙牛脂皂的织物柔软(剂)颗粒。其方法包括:形成所要求组份的液体混合物,冷却该液体以形成一种固体,将其研磨成颗粒。在研磨前先将固体“风干”数小时,术语“风干”是指让颗粒的水含量与环境中水分达到平衡这一过程。根据公开文本还可用“喷雾冷却”液体混合物形成不失水的固体。然后将该固体研磨并风干。
欧洲专利申请EP1315(Procter和Gamble)中描述了一种方法,它将季铵化合物的熔融颗粒和如一种脂肪醇或脂肪酸的分散抑制剂附着在含表面活性剂和助洗剂的喷雾干燥碱性洗涤剂颗粒上。着重指出的是与其它专利文献一样,要避免在洗涤水中分散阳离子柔软化合物以防止在洗涤液中失活。在那些专利中均试图提供一种在冷水中尤其是在漂洗循环中使用的易于分散的季铵化合物粉末,但这种分散性依然存在问题,尤其是在较高浓度的季铵化合物中。
已经发现可根据本发明的喷雾干燥法制备高浓度颗粒状织物柔化组合物,该方法提供一种柔化组合物颗粒,其中阳离子柔化化合物含量高达约40%,其可与例如非离子和/或阴离子表面活性剂共同使用,该颗粒易于在水中分散并能提供有效的柔化作用。
因此,本发明提供了一种高流动性,喷雾干燥颗粒状织物柔化组合物,其易于在水中分散且含有:
(a)约5~40%(重量)的一种阳离子季铵柔化化合物;
(b)约0.5~15%(重量)的一种阴离子和/或非离子洗涤化合物;和
(c)约45~85%(重量)尿素;余量为水。
在本发明选优的实施方案中组合物还可含有约1~10%(重量)的一种脂肪酸链烷醇酰胺。
本发明还包括一种高流动性,喷雾干燥颗粒状织物柔化组合物的制备方法,该组合物易于在水中分散,包括:
(a)形成一种搅拌料浆,含有:
(ⅰ)约5~40%(重量)的一种阳离子季铵柔化化合物;
(ⅱ)约0.5~15%(重量)的一种阴离子和/或非离子洗涤化合物;
(ⅲ)或约1~10%(重量)的一种链烷醇酰胺;和
(ⅳ)约45~85%(重量)的尿素,上述百分比是在无水条件下根据料浆中固体含量计算的;
(b)混合步骤(a)中得到的搅拌料浆,直至形成平均颗粒直径小于约1.0微米的均匀混合物或分散物;且此后
(c)将上述混合物喷雾干燥,或在喷雾塔中分散,其中混合物的水基本上被蒸发掉以得到一种高流动性柔化组合物颗粒,该颗粒易于在水中分散。
可以预期,本发明发现织物柔化组合物可由喷雾干燥制成颗粒状组合物,该组合物的浓度远远高于常规漂洗循环用液体柔软剂。将所得喷雾干燥颗粒分散于水中,它能使洗涤或漂洗循环中的织物有效地柔化。本发明组合物的另一个本质特征为在将搅拌料浆喷雾前采取一个混合步骤,使得搅拌料浆的成份充分分散以形成平均颗料直径低于约1.0微米的混合物或分散物,从而得到均匀的喷雾干燥颗粒。该类型的均匀混合物可用现有技术中各种类型的混合器、研磨机或泵制得,但优选使用一种所谓的“均化器”,例如Gaulin Corporation,(Everett,Massachusetts,U.S.A)或Hilversum,(Holland)销售的“Gaulin均化器”,其必要组成为与均化开关装置相连的排液泵,该均化开关装置能供给平均颗粒直径低于约10微米,优选低于约0.75微米的紧密混合物。在该混合物中颗粒最大直径较好的应低于约5.0微米,最好低于约3.0微米。
本发明的柔化组合物的喷雾干燥法多半使用有关制备颗粒状洗涤剂组合物的公知技术。通常制成搅拌料浆,其含有水与许多或更多种织物柔化组合物所需的成份的混合物。料浆中固体含量通常约为20~70%,优选30~60%,更优选40~50%,余量为水。然后将搅拌料浆在1000~2000psi压力下经雾化喷嘴泵至喷雾干燥塔中进行雾化。典型的工业用塔尺寸为高约35~100英寸,直径约12~30英尺。从塔基部引入温度为约300~1000°F的空气,其与雾化后料浆接触,从而对料浆液滴提供了一种热的干燥气体,籍此蒸去大部分水。从塔底收集所得颗粒或小球,塔顶为水汽与热空气。热敏或水敏组份,如香料可在随后的混合或掺合操作中,向塔内颗粒中添加。
最好是通过连续加入本方法中的各种成份从而得到最大混合度及最易于泵送的喷雾干燥料浆。各种成份的添加顺序可根据情况而改变。一般最好先向搅和机中加入全部或基本上全部的水(最好在反应温度),然后按下列顺序加入其它组份“尿素,季铵柔化组合物,阴离子和/或非离子表面活性剂、脂肪酸链烷醇酰胺和任意的辅剂,如颜料、抗氧化剂和杀菌剂。
搅和机中水相温度通常在室温或高于室温,一般在20~70℃,较好在约25~40℃。
为得到彻底混合的均质料浆,所需的混合时间可以有很大的变化,如从小搅和机和高湿含量料浆所需的短短5分钟,到长达1小时,尽管在某些情况下优选的上限为30分钟。在搅和机内混合后,将搅拌料浆送至均化器或类似的混合器或泵中进行进一步的混合,从而得到如上述的平均颗粒直径低于约1.0微米的均匀分散物或混合物。
将所得分散物随后用常规方法送至喷雾干燥塔,其位于搅和机附近。将分散物在高压下通过喷雾喷嘴进入喷雾塔(逆流或并流),其中下降的料浆液滴通过热的干燥空气,蒸去基本上全部的水形成织物柔化组合物颗粒或小球。优选颗粒水含量为约2~4%(重量)。
用于本发明的阳离子季铵柔化化合物包括:咪唑鎓盐、二长链烷基季铵盐及二酯化的长链脂肪酸二低级烷基季铵盐。较好的咪唑鎓盐的通式如下:
R1是C8~C30脂族基,优选C14~C18烷基或链烯基;
R2和R3可分别是R1的任一种,或优选低级烷基或被取代的C1~C4烷基,例如卤代烷基、羟烷基、酰氨基烷基及其类似物;

R基选自C1~C30脂族基,优选烷基或链烯基;芳基(如苯基、甲苯基、异丙苯基等)、芳烷基(如:苄基、苯乙基、甲基苄基等)、及其卤素,酰胺,羟基、羧基取代物,如C2~C6卤代烷基(如2-氯乙基)、和C2~C6羟烷基(如2-羟乙基);附加条件为至少两个R基为C12~C30,优选C12~C22,同时其它的R基团为低级烷基;最好的是至少两个R基为C12~C18,其余的为C1~C4低级烷基(乙基或甲基更好),Y是与式(1)中X定义相同的阴离子。

另一类较好的阳离子织物柔软剂为二酯化长链脂肪酸二低级烷基季铵盐及二酯化长链脂肪酸低级烷基低级羟烷基季铵盐。该类阳离子织物柔软剂可用下式表示:

在颗粒状柔化组合物中季铵柔化化合物的含量通常在约5~40%(重量)之间,优选约10~30%,最优选约15~25%(重量)。
一种任意的织物柔化成份为脂肪醇,其中的疏水基可以是直链或支链烷基或链烯基,它们含有约12~24个碳原子,优选约10~20个碳原子,尤其优选约12~20个碳原子。脂肪醇的例子有:十二烷醇、葵醇、十四烷醇、十五烷醇、十六烷醇、十八烷醇、月桂醇、棕榈醇、硬脂醇、油醇及其混合物。还可以是来源于天然或合成的其它脂肪醇,如混合醇,比如乙烯的齐格勒聚合产物C16~C18醇。
在组合物中的脂肪醇量相对于阳离子织物柔软剂可以呈较少的量存在,以致织物柔软剂与脂肪醇的重量比约为6∶1~2∶1,特别优选约5∶1~3∶1。
用于本发明的脂肪酸烷基醇酰胺为脂肪酸酰胺的衍生物,其烷基至少含有12个碳原子,其优选具有下述结构式:

n为2或3,优选椰子油单乙醇酰胺。
柔化组合物中脂肪酸烷基醇酰胺的重量浓度通常为约1~10%,优选约1~5%。根据本发明的脂肪酸烷基醇酰胺与季铵柔化化合物的结合对织物提供了优异的柔化效果。
织物柔化组合物的一个必要组份为尿素。颗粒中通常含有约45~85%(重量)的尿素,优选约55~75%(重量),最优选约60~70%(重量)。
另一种用于改进颗粒溶解性和分散性的重要组份为阴离子和/或非离子表面活性剂。用于本发明的表面活性剂的分子式中具有8~26个碳原子(优选约10~18个碳原子有机疏水基及至少一种水溶性基团,该水溶性基团选自磺酸根、硫酸根、羧酸根、膦酸根和磷酸根,从而形成水溶性洗涤剂。
适宜的阴离子洗涤剂的例子包括:皂类,如高级脂肪酸的水溶性盐(如:钠、钾、铵和烷基醇铵盐)或含约8~20碳(较好为10~18碳)的树脂盐。特别有用的为由椰子油和脂油衍生而来的脂肪酸混合物的钠和钾盐。如椰子油钠皂和脂油钾皂。
阴离子洗涤剂还包括含有脂肪族基,较好为含8~26碳的烷基,最好为12~22个碳原子烷基的水溶性硫酸化或磺酸化洗涤剂。磺酸化阴离子洗涤剂的例子是高级烷基芳族磺酸盐,如:在高级烷基直链或支链上含10~16个碳原子的高级烷基苯磺酸盐,比如高级烷基苯磺酸、高级烷基甲苯磺酸、高级烷基苯酚磺酸的钠盐、钾盐和铵盐。
其它适宜的阴离子洗涤剂为烯属磺酸盐,包括长链烯烃磺酸盐、长链羟烷烃磺酸盐或其混合物。
其它适宜的阴离子洗涤剂为硫酸化乙氧代高级脂肪醇,该醇结构或为RO(C2H4O)mSO3M,其中R为脂肪烷基,含10-18个碳原子;m为2~6(最好是R基硫原子数的约1/5~1/2);M为水溶性成盐阳离子,如碱金属,氨,低级烷基氨基或低级烷基醇氨基,或高级烷基的碳原子数为10~15的高级烷基苯磺酸盐。在多乙氧代高级烷醇硫酸盐中环氧乙烷的比例较好为:每摩尔阴离子洗涤剂2~5摩尔环氧乙烷基团,特别是高级烷醇含11~15个碳原子时最好的是3摩尔。Shell Chemical Compang销售的Neodol 25-3S为较好的多乙氧代醇。
最优选的高级水溶性阴离子洗涤化合物为高级烷基苯磺酸、烯属苯磺酸和高级烷基硫酸的铵盐和取代铵盐(如一,二或三乙醇胺),碱金属盐(如钠或钾)和碱土金属盐(如钙和镁)。上述阴离子化合物中最好的是直链烷基苯磺酸钠(LABS),尤其是其中的烷基为12或13个碳原子直链烷基时。
适宜的非离子表面活性剂为平均乙氧化程度为3~9的12~20碳原子的乙氧化脂肪醇。较好的非离子洗涤剂为每分子平均含有6或7个乙氧基的椰子油醇和每分子高级脂肪醇中平均含有6或7个乙氧基的C14-C15伯醇。此处最适用的为每摩尔醇含7mol乙氧化物的乙氧代月桂醇。
其它有用的非离子洗涤化合物包括现有技术中公知的烷基多苷和烷基多糖。
颗粒状组合物中阴离子表面活性剂的量可从0变至8%,其最好随阳离子柔化化合物的百分比变化如下:当阴离子化合物低于约20%时阴离子表面活性剂含量为约1~4%,当阳离子柔化化合物为约20~40%时,阴离子表面活性剂为约3~8%,所有百分比均为以颗粒组合物计的重量百分比。通常阴离子表面活性剂的重量浓度为约2~4%。非离子表面活性剂可任意为约0.5~5%(重量),并且最好不超过约1%(重量)。
本发明的织物柔化组合物还可含有助剂或添加剂,该助剂或添加剂对柔化组合物的稳定性和功能特性不产生不好的影响。这里所指的添加剂为香料、染料、颜料、杀菌剂、除污剂、织物挺爽剂、抗氧剂及抗腐蚀剂。
实施例1
本发明的颗粒状织物柔化组合物配方如下:

椰子油单乙醇酰胺 3
尿素 64
水份 余量
1.二硬脂基二甲基氯化铵
2.乙氧代月桂醇(每摩尔醇含约7摩尔乙氧化物)
在25℃水温和水的硬度为100和320ppm时向于循环漂洗状态的顶装式洗衣机中加入10.5g上述柔化组合物。在水中颗粒产品的分散时间为约1.5分钟。
将处理后的织物的柔软性和疏水性与用相同的顶装式洗衣机和42g市售液体织物柔软剂(含6%季铵柔软剂)处理的织物的柔软性和疏水性相比较。用本发明的颗粒状柔化组合物处理的织物,其柔软程度优于用市售液体产品处理的织物,疏水性相同。
Claims (11)
1、一种易分散于水中高流动性、喷雾干燥的颗粒状织物柔化组合物,含有:
(a)约5~40%(重量)的一种阳离子季铵柔化化合物;
(b)约0.5~15%(重量)的一种阴离子和/或非离子洗涤化合物;和
(c)约45~85%(重量)的尿素;余量为水。
2、根据权利要求1的织物柔化组合物,其含有约1~10%(重量)的一种脂肪酸烷基醇酰胺。
3、根据权利要求2的织物柔化组合物,其中所述烷基醇酰胺为椰子油单乙醇酰胺。
4、根据权利要求1的织物柔化组合物,其含有约1-8%的一种阴离子洗涤化合物和约10~40%的一种阳离子柔软剂,所有百分比均为以组合物计的重量百分比。
5、根据权利要求4的织物柔化组合物,其中阴离子洗涤剂百分比随阳离子化合物百分比而变化:当阳离子柔化化合物百分比约低于20%时,含约1~4%的阴离子洗涤剂;当阳离子柔化化合物百分比为约20~40%时,含约3~8%阴离子洗涤剂,所有百分比均为以组合物计的重量百分比。
6、根据权利要求5的织物柔化组合物,其中的阴离子洗涤化合物为十二烷基苯磺酸盐:
7、根据权利要求1的织物柔化组合物,其含有最多约2%(重量)的非离子洗涤化合物。
8、根据权利要求1的织物柔化组合物,其中所述的非离子洗涤化合物为乙氧化月桂醇。
9、根据权利要求1的织物柔化化合物,其中所述的阳离子柔化化合物为二硬脂基二甲基氯化铵。
10、一种柔化织物的方法,其中包括在水溶中漂洗织物,该水浴含有有效量的由下述组份组成的分散喷雾干燥颗粒状织物柔化组合物:
(a)约5~40%(重量)的一种阳离子季铵柔化化合物;
(b)约0.5~15%(重量)的一种阴离子和/或一种非离子洗涤化合物,和
(c)约45~85%(重量)的尿素;余量为水。
11、根据权利要求10的方法,其中的织物柔化组合物还含有约10%(重量)的一种脂肪酸烷基醇酰胺。
