因此,本发明的目的是提供蜡分散体,其通过如现代胶版印刷机可顺滑地施加于纸张表面,并且当施加于纸制品的印刷面时,产生均匀的纸张涂层,其对表面提供良好的光泽和保护。
发明内容
发现包含以下的蜡分散体:
a)分散相,其包含:
-至少一种烃蜡以及
-至少一种二烷基醚;
b)连续相,相对于蜡分散体的总重量,包含大于50wt.%的水;以及
c)至少一种表面活性剂
在纸制品,尤其是印刷纸制品的表面处理中具有有利的性质。
根据本发明的纸制品是在包括以下的过程中产生的材料:将湿润的纤维,通常为源自木材、碎布或草的纤维素纸浆汇集在一起,并将它们干燥成最终形状。纸制品可以用于在其上的书写和/或印刷。此外,它们被广泛用作包装材料并且包括卡纸板和瓦楞纸板。
其中,上述蜡分散体显示在纸制品上改善的润湿性、低起泡倾向以及在印刷机的辊上减少的沉积。
涂覆有本发明的蜡分散体的印刷纸制品显示改善的磨损稳定性和更高的光泽。
在优选的实施方式中,相对于蜡分散体的总重量,蜡分散体包含50至95wt.-%水,更优选65至75wt.-%水。
具体实施方式
根据本发明的烃蜡在物理上被定义为优选具有40℃或以上的冻凝点(congealingpoint)并且通常在50至90℃,在特殊情况下至多达200℃下熔融而没有分解的组合物。
根据本发明的烃蜡是包含大于99%的氢和碳原子的蜡,优选包含大于99.8%的氢和碳原子且最优选仅由氢和碳原子组成。
相对于蜡分散体的总重量,烃蜡可以以5至30wt.-%、优选15至20wt.-%的浓度存在,并且可以是基于石油的石蜡、合成费-托蜡或聚烯烃蜡或它们的混合物,其独立地优选具有依据DIN ISO 2207的40至110℃、更优选40至90℃以及最优选50至70℃的冻凝点。
蜡分散体的相对较低的烃蜡含量改善其用水的可稀释性。
分散体可以包含非离子或阳离子表面活性剂或两者。
相对于蜡分散体的总重量,非离子表面活性剂可以以2至10wt.-%、优选6至8wt.-%的浓度存在,并且优选是醇的乙氧基化物或丙氧基化物或两者,更优选羰基合成醇(oxo-alcohol)乙氧基化物。独立地,醇基团优选地含有8至24个碳原子、更优选10至18个碳原子以及2至20、更优选4至12的乙氧基化程度。
非离子表面活性剂改善蜡分散体之后在辊和纸上的可涂布性并减小乳剂的粒径。低粒径会改善均匀的薄涂层并允许在纸张施加以前用水进一步稀释。
相对于蜡分散体的总重量,阳离子表面活性剂可以以1至3wt.-%、优选1.5至2wt.-%的浓度存在,并且优选是质子化的N-烷基二胺或具有至少一个烷基基团的季铵化合物,并且更优选质子化的N-烷基-丙二胺,其中烷基基团含有6至24个、优选10至18个碳原子。
阳离子表面活性剂增加蜡分散体对纸纤维的大部分负表面电荷的亲和力,从而显示良好的润湿和涂布性能。另外,这样的蜡分散体对纸张表面施加抗静电效果。
相对于蜡分散体的总重量,二烷基醚可以以1至10wt.-%、优选4至6wt.-%的浓度存在,并且具有下式R1-O-R2,其中R1和R2各自独立地是脂肪族、脂环族或芳香族烃残基,优选直链或支链的脂肪族烃残基,其各自具有6至32个碳原子、优选6至12个碳原子。
优选地,R1等于R2并选自己基、辛基或癸基残基的组,更优选地R1和R2是辛基残基。
不希望被束缚于此理论,假设醚迁移到水相的表面并改善分散体相对于辊和纸的可涂布性以及亲和力。其作用为辊上的蜡的脱离剂,产生具有高光泽的均匀和稳定的涂层,光泽甚至可以通过抛光表面而增加。通过印刷油墨去除的减少,醚还导致在辊上显著较低的蜡沉积物形成。
常规硅酮或蜡乳剂和分散体不产生纸张的均匀和恒定的涂层。其次,它们不可抛光并且倾向于沉积在辊上并通过连同它们一起携带油墨颜料阻挡辊。
烃蜡和二烷基醚的重量比可以为2:1至4:1、优选2.8:1至3.4:1。
根据进一步的实施方式,蜡分散体的特征在于,通过激光衍射和/或光散射确定的低于300μιm的颗粒和液滴的平均粒径d90(数均)。较小的颗粒导致较高的比表面积并在涂覆过程中改善蜡分散体的性能和涂布。
优选地,蜡分散体进一步的特征在于30至40mN-m-1、更优选35至36mN m-1的表面张力。表面张力依据Wilhelmy使用平板法确定。在前述范围内的表面张力提供分散体在辊和纸上的良好分布。
当施加阳离子表面活性剂时,蜡分散体具有6至9、优选7.5至8.5的pH值,其可以通过添加有机或无机酸和/或胺、优选乙酸和/或二环己胺来调节。
根据本发明的进一步的实施方式,蜡分散体是浓缩物并且由该浓缩物,通过以1(蜡分散体):1(水)至1:5的比率用水稀释可获得准备好使用的蜡分散体。
根据本发明的进一步的方面,提供了涂覆纸制品的方法,包括将上文提及的蜡分散体施加于纸制品、优选纸幅的表面。可以在涂覆之前用水以1:1至1:5的比率来稀释蜡分散体,或可替换地,稀释分散体直到相对于蜡分散体的总重量,获得3.5至12wt.-%、优选8至11wt.-%的烃蜡和二烷基醚的总和的浓度。
优选地,纸制品表面是印刷的纸制品表面。该方法可以可选地包括在涂覆以后的干燥或抛光步骤或两者。
施加于纸制品的烃蜡和二烷基醚的总和的量可以是0.2至1g·m-2、优选0.4至0.9g·m-2
本发明进一步涉及如本文描述的蜡分散体用于获得印刷纸制品上的涂层的用途,其中获得的印刷纸制品具有改善的磨损稳定性或改善的光泽或两者。
通过实施例来进一步描述本发明,但不限于此。
实施例
产生由以下组成的根据本发明的蜡分散体A
68.12wt.-%水
16.19wt.-%烃蜡(Sasolwax M5,来自Sasol Wax GmbH)
8.00wt.-%非离子表面活性剂(Lutensol TO 8,来自BASF)
5.00wt.-%二烷基醚(NACOL-8-醚,来自Sasol Germany GmbH)
1.70wt.-%阳离子表面活性剂(Dinoram 42E,来自Ceca)
0.74wt.-%60%乙酸(来自BCD Chemie GmbH)
0.25wt.-%二环己胺(来自Overlack)
并且其具有以下性能
pH值:8.1
表面张力:36mN·m-1
使用Kruess Tensiometer K100用平板法依据Wilhelmy测量表面张力。
用于上述蜡分散体的蜡是费-托蜡,其具有根据DIN ISO 2207测量的58℃的冻凝点。
非离子表面活性剂是C13-羰基合成醇乙氧基化物,具有8的乙氧基化度。
二烷基醚是二正辛基醚且阳离子表面活性剂是N-烷基丙二胺。
具有非离子表面活性剂的蜡分散体通常显示大量的泡沫形成。在1000ml玻璃烧杯中鼓泡空气通过100ml的分散体120秒会至少形成900ml的泡沫。在同一测试中,根据本发明的蜡分散体没有显示泡沫形成,其导致在纸涂覆过程中改善的应用。
上述蜡分散体的平均粒径是d10=0.072μm、d50=0.125μm以及d90=0.210μm,基于蜡的浓度以及颗粒是球形的假设,由此导致计算的比表面积为52m2·ml-1。该平均粒径远低于常规硅酮或蜡乳剂,其具有d50=0.400μm,由此可以计算出仅20m2·ml-1的比表面积。
通过激光衍射和光散射,用来自Beckman Coulter的仪器(LS13320),使用5滴稀释在30ml蒸馏水中的分散体来测量平均粒径。
在使用具有高油墨加载的LWC130或SC纸(80g·m-2)的胶印程序中,上述蜡分散体用作罩光油。在通过钢转杆施加至印刷纸以前,进一步用水1:2稀释蜡分散体。根据涂覆的纸的重量再称重,施加的蜡分散体的量是0.4至0.9g·m-2
使用来自Priifbau的“Quartant Scheuertester”来确定涂覆有上述蜡分散体A的印刷纸的磨损和摩擦稳定性。在常压下,用限定数目的毂(hub)使印刷纸样品和涂覆有蜡分散体A的印刷纸的样品相对于非印刷纸揉搓。将任何颜色转移到未印刷样品或破坏样品的印刷所需要的毂的数目是磨损稳定性的程度。与未涂覆的纸相比,对于涂覆有上述蜡分散体的印刷纸,其总是更高的。
测试磨损稳定性的另一种快速的可能性是用手掌或拇指来确定磨损。在实验室规模中,通过用30cm尺上的压力振荡摩擦并检查破坏印刷品需要多久来测试涂覆的纸的磨损稳定性。
根据DIN 67530,用来自BYK-Gardner的Micro-TRI光泽分析仪,在20°、60°和85°(高、中、暗光泽)的角度下确定印刷和涂覆的纸的光泽。相比未抛光涂层或硅酮涂层,由于本发明的蜡涂层的可抛光性,可以获得高得多的高光泽和中光泽。
HydroWax 170是没有二烷基醚的蜡分散体,由64wt.-%水、2.0wt.-%的聚乙烯醇(用0.5wt-%KOH水解)以及0.5wt.-%的阴离子萘磺酸盐表面活性剂和33wt.-%的蜡相(28wt.-%烃蜡,具有63至65℃的冻凝点,3.3wt.-%的巴西棕榈蜡和1.7wt.-%的脂肪族烃树脂来自Exxon Mobile的Escorez 1102F)。
根据本发明的蜡分散体与通常用作罩光油的非离子和/或阳离子型的其它分散体和乳剂相容,并且可以与它们互换使用。这意味着,如果已经使用或将使用另一种分散体或乳剂,则分别在使用根据本发明的蜡分散体之前或之后不需要清洁。如果适用或需要,还允许混合本发明的蜡分散体与硅酮乳剂。

Claims (22)

1.一种蜡分散体,包含
a)分散相,包含:
-至少一种烃蜡以及
-至少一种二烷基醚;
b)连续相,相对于所述蜡分散体的总重量,包含大于50wt.%的水;以及
c)至少一种表面活性剂。
2.根据权利要求1所述的蜡分散体,其特征进一步在于以下特征中的一种或多种:
-所述蜡分散体包含5至30wt.-%的所述烃蜡、优选15至20wt.-%的所述烃蜡;
-所述蜡分散体包含1至10wt.-%的所述二烷基醚、优选4至6wt.-%的所述二烷基醚;
-所述蜡分散体包含50至95wt.-%的水、优选65至75wt.-%的水;
-所述蜡分散体包含2至10wt.-%的所述表面活性剂、优选6至8wt.-%的所述表面活性剂;
所有重量比是相对于所述蜡分散体的总重量。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的蜡分散体,其中,彼此独立地
a)所述烃蜡与所述二烷基醚的重量比是2:1至4:1、优选2.8:1至3.4:1;
b)所述烃蜡和所述二烷基醚一起占所述蜡分散体的总重量的10至50wt.-%、优选15至30wt.-%。
4.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述烃蜡选自由基于石油的石蜡、合成费-托蜡、聚烯烃蜡以及它们的组合组成的组中的一种或多种。
5.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述烃蜡具有根据DIN ISO2207的40至110℃、优选40至90℃以及更优选50至70℃的冻凝点。
6.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述二烷基醚具有下式R1-O-R2,并且其中R1和R2各自独立地是脂肪族、脂环族或芳香族烃残基,优选直链或支链脂肪族烃残基,各自具有6至32个碳原子、优选6至12个碳原子,并且独立地,优选R1等于R2并且选自己基、辛基或癸基残基的组,更优选R1和R2是辛基残基。
7.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述分散相包含23℃下的固体颗粒,并且优选地单个颗粒各自包含所述至少一种二烷基醚和所述至少一种烃蜡的混合物。
8.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述表面活性剂是至少一种非离子表面活性剂或至少一种阳离子表面活性剂或两者。
9.根据权利要求8所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述非离子表面活性剂是醇乙氧基化物或醇丙氧基化物或两者,优选羰基合成醇乙氧基化物。
10.根据权利要求8所述的蜡分散体,包含1至3wt.-%的所述阳离子表面活性剂、优选1.5至2wt.-%的所述阳离子表面活性剂。
11.根据权利要求8或10中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述阳离子表面活性剂是至少一种质子化的N-烷基二胺或季铵化合物,优选质子化的N-烷基丙二胺。
12.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,具有6至9的pH值、优选7.8至8.5的pH,各自在25℃下测得,其中,优选通过添加有机或无机酸和/或胺,优选乙酸和/或二环己胺来调节所述pH值。
13.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述蜡分散体具有30至40mN·m-1、优选35至36mN·m-1的表面张力。
14.根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体,其中,所述颗粒具有低于300μm的平均粒径d90(数均)。
15.一种稀释的蜡分散体,其中,将根据前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体用水以1:1至1:5的重量比稀释。
16.一种涂覆纸的方法,包括将前述权利要求中任一项所述的蜡分散体施加于纸制品、优选纸幅的表面。
17.一种涂覆纸制品的方法,包括将权利要求1至14所述的蜡分散体施加于纸制品的表面、优选纸幅的表面,其中,在涂覆纸张表面以前用水以1:1至1:5的重量比稀释所述蜡分散体,或可替换地,稀释所述分散体直到获得3.5至12wt.-%、优选8至11wt.-%的所述烃蜡和所述二烷基醚的总和的浓度。
18.根据权利要求16或17中任一项所述的方法,其中,所述纸制品的表面是印刷的纸制品的表面,可选地在施加所述蜡分散体的步骤之后进一步包括干燥或抛光步骤或两者。
19.根据权利要求16至18中任一项所述的方法,其中,相对于所述纸制品的涂覆表面,以0.2至1g·m-2、优选0.4至0.9g·m-2的涂层重量将所述烃蜡和所述二烷基醚施加于所述纸制品。
20.一种具有涂层的印刷的纸制品,
a)所述涂层是通过根据权利要求16至19所述的方法可获得的,或
b)所述涂层包含所述至少一种烃蜡和所述至少一种二烷基醚,其中所述烃蜡与所述二烷基醚的重量比是2:1至4:1、优选2.8:1至3.4:1,以及更优选地,相对于所述印刷的纸制品的表面,施加于所述纸制品的所述烃蜡和所述二烷基醚的总量是0.2至1g·m-2、优选0.4至0.9g·m-2
21.通过根据权利要求1至15中任一项所述的蜡分散体获得的涂层用于改善涂覆的纸制品、优选涂覆的印刷纸制品的磨损稳定性或改善光泽或两者的用途。
22.根据权利要求1至15所述的蜡分散体用于涂覆表面的用途,其中,所述表面优选是纸制品的表面。
