冬虫夏草呈金黄色、淡黄色或黄棕色,因其价格昂贵而有“黄金草”之称,其药物价值极高,功效好,在国内外被视为珍品;现代药理学研究结果证实,冬虫夏草含有虫草多糖,虫草酸约7%,碳水化合物约28.9%,脂肪约8.4%,蛋白质约25%,脂肪中80%以上为不饱和脂肪酸,蛋白质中包含18种氨基酸,此外,尚含有多种维生素与矿物质、生物碱、新型免疫抑制剂,超氧化物歧化酶、麦角脂醇、六碳糖醇等,冬虫夏草非常适合人们用来提高免疫力,或是术后、产后身体的恢复。
