Abstract

本发明涉及一种耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其包括珠光颜料以及在珠光颜料上依次包覆的硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层和耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层。本发明另外还涉及该珠光颜料的制备方法。该方法首先通过液相水解和沉淀,在珠光颜料的表面形成无机物包覆层,然后在此基础上对其进一步采用硅烷偶联剂对珠光料进行表面进行改性,制备耐高温耐候的珠光颜料。通过该方法既能达到珠光颜料使用的耐高温耐耐候要求,同时在涂料应用中具有优异的分散性及稳定性,使改性粉体在氟碳涂料和粉末喷涂中应用达到最佳的效果。

Description

耐高温耐候性珠光颜料及其制备方法
技术领域
本发明涉及耐高温耐候性珠光颜料的制备方法及其应用。
背景技术
珠光颜料以其独特的光学效果和性质,广泛应用于涂料、塑料、陶瓷、造纸、皮革、玻璃、化妆品等领域。随着社会的进步及应用领域的拓展,对珠光的使用性能提出了要求。尤其表现在涂料应用领域(汽车漆、建筑外墙漆等),珠光颜料在紫外线、水、氧情况下自身的颜色及性能会发生变化,甚至于会引起有机基体的加速降解(例如顶层包覆二氧化钛的珠光颜料)。因此,必须对珠光颜料进行保护涂层的处理,以满足使用要求。
对于提高珠光颜料的耐候性能,采用包覆氧化物和有机物表面处理。分为两步进行:其一、通过液相沉积氧化物或者氢氧化物(氧化铝、氧化铈、氢氧化铝、氢氧化铈、二氧化硅的两种或者两种以上)于珠光颜料表面;其二、在表面进一步通过硅烷偶联剂或者活性有机硅聚合物。国内外学者开展了一定的研究工作且相关研究成果已转化为产品。但是,在方法的第一步采用包覆氧化物和第二步硅烷偶联剂均不能有效防止紫外线,而且第二步硅烷偶联剂的耐温较低,在高温下(>220℃)时发生分解,因此该表面处理技术不适合氟碳漆及粉末喷涂的高温应用(~250℃)。
本发明公开了适合高温(~250℃)应用的表面处理技术,解决了现有表面处理技术的缺点。
发明内容
本发明的一个方面是提供一种耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其包括珠光颜料以及在珠光颜料上依次包覆的硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层和耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层。
所述的珠光颜料选自天然云母基材的珠光颜料、合成云母基材的珠光颜料、玻璃基材的珠光颜料、氧化铝基材的珠光颜料、氧化铁基材的珠光颜料的一种或几种的组合。
所述珠光颜料的粒度范围例如但不限于是5-200微米,例如10-60微米。
硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层、耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层例如γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷层的厚各自独立地是5-1000nm,通常7-500nm,优选10-300nm,更通常20-300nm,例如50nm、80nm、120nm、150nm、180nm。
优选地,所述耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层为γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷层。
本发明的另一个方面是提供上述耐高温耐候性珠光颜料制备方法,该法首先通过在珠光颜料的表面包覆硫酸钡和致密二氧化硅,再包覆耐高温的硅烷偶联剂γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷。由此,实现经过表面处理的珠光颜料在氟碳漆及粉末喷涂应用中的稳定性。
在一个优选实施方式中,本发明的上述耐高温耐候性珠光颜料制备方法包括:
(A)将珠光颜料加水打浆,获得了珠光颜料的浆料或浆液;
(B)通过在珠光颜料的浆液中添加硫酸钠和氯化钡来沉淀硫酸钡,在珠光颜料的表面上包覆硫酸钡的膜层;
(C)通过在步骤B获得的混合物体系中添加水溶性硅酸盐并让水溶性硅酸盐发生水解,在步骤(B)获得的珠光颜料表面包覆二氧化硅;
(D)在步骤(C)获得的珠光颜料的表面包覆耐高温的硅烷偶联剂,获得耐高温耐候性珠光颜料产品。
优选地,步骤(B)包括在上述步骤(A)获得的珠光颜料浆料或浆液中加入硫酸钠并搅拌,调节pH至5.0-9.0,优选约6.5~7.5,然后加入氯化钡的水溶液。
优选地,步骤(C)包括调节pH至8.0-11.0,优选8.5-9.5,加入水溶性硅酸盐(例如偏硅酸钠水溶液),在添加过程中保持pH稳定,添加完之后将pH降低至3.0-6.0,优选4.5-5.5。
优选地,步骤(D)包括添加耐高温的硅烷偶联剂γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷,并搅拌,然后过滤、洗涤、烘干。
优选地,硫酸钡沉淀的重量比不大于5%,二氧化硅表面包覆层的重量比不大于5%;耐高温的硅烷偶联剂为γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷的重量比不大于3%。
优选的是,硫酸钠的添加量为珠光颜料的0.1-5wt%,优选约0.5-2wt%,更优选约0.8-1.5wt%。
优选的是,氯化钡的添加量为珠光颜料的0.1-5wt%,优选约0.5-2wt%,更优选约0.8-1.5wt%。
优选的是,偏硅酸钠的添加量为珠光颜料的0.5-5wt%,优选约1-4wt%,更优选1.5-3wt%。
优选的是,耐高温的硅烷偶联剂(例如γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷)的添加量为0.5-3wt%,优选1-3wt%,更优选约2wt%。
本发明的又一个目的是提供上述耐高温耐候性珠光颜料用于氟碳漆或粉末涂料的用途。

本发明的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料用于氟碳漆、粉末涂料等应用领域,能够制备色彩和色泽非常优异的涂层,并且具有抗紫外线、耐高温性能。
具体实施方式
以下实施例用于更具体描述本发明而非限定。
实施例1
1000KG(粒度10-60微米)珠光颜料加水打浆,加水至14000L。
第一层:硫酸钠10KG直接投入搅5分钟。用酒石酸调PH至7.0。8KG氯化钡溶于300L水中不控PH值1小时加完。
第二层:用液碱慢慢升PH:9.0(常温测),5%五水偏硅酸钠溶液600L,流量:5L/min,用5%的酒石酸控PH:9.0。加完用1.5mol盐酸,流量:6L/min降PH至5.0.
第三层:硅烷偶联剂γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷20KG。1小时加完。不控PH加完保温搅拌一小时放料。过滤、洗涤、烘干。
实施例2
1000KG(粒度10-60微米)珠光颜料加水打浆,加水至14000L。
第一层:硫酸钠8KG直接投入搅5分钟。用酒石酸调PH至7.0。6KG氯化钡溶于280L水中不控PH值1小时加完。
第二层:用液碱慢慢升PH:9.0(常温测),5%五水偏硅酸钠溶液700L,流量:5L/min,用5%的酒石酸控PH:9.0。加完用盐酸,流量:6L/min降PH至5.0.
第三层:硅烷偶联剂γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷18KG。1小时加完。不控PH加完保温搅拌一小时放料。过滤、洗涤、烘干。
将实施例1、2中经过表面处理的样品与未经表面处理的样品进行测试,结果表明施例1中经过表面处理的样品的紫外光稳定性明显好于未经表面处理的样品,见表1。

制备目前市场上广泛采用的二氧化硅、氢氧化铝、氢氧化铈、硅烷偶联剂γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷和3-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷包膜处理的产品:
100g珠光颜料加水打浆,加水至666ml,升温到78℃,调用液碱慢慢升PH:9.0,5%五水偏硅酸钠溶液60mL,流量:0.5mL/min,用5%的酒石酸控PH:9.0。加完用1.5mol盐酸,流量:0.6mL/min降PH至6.5,加入1.0g 20.2%Ce(NO3)3,3.5g 4.3%Al(NO3)39H2O,搅拌15min,调pH到6.5,加入2.0gγ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷和3-氨丙基三乙氧基硅烷2.0g,搅拌1小时,过滤、洗涤、烘干。
与实施例1中经过表面处理的样品对比测试,结果见表2。实施例1中经过表面处理的样品的热稳定性能明显好于对比例1的样品。

以上实施例1所制得的珠光颜料用于氟碳漆、粉末涂料等应用领域,能够制备色彩和色泽非常优异的涂层,并且具有抗紫外线、耐高温性能。
应用实施例1:以氟碳漆应用为例:
取一个250ml烧杯,称取实施例1制备珠光粉10.00g,再加入氟碳的预分散树脂体系90.0g,放到搅拌器上分散15min.喷涂前,加入稀释剂20.0g,搅拌均匀。喷涂时,连续喷两遍,闪干5min后放入230度的烘箱烘烤30分钟。
应用实施例2:以粉末喷涂应用为例:
将环氧树脂系热固性树脂涂料、实施例1制备的珠光颜料、填料和粉末涂料用常规助剂混合,制备粉末喷涂涂料。

Claims (15)

1.一种耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其包括珠光颜料以及在珠光颜料上依次包覆的硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层和耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层,其中,硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层、耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层的厚度各自独立地是5-1000nm。
2.根据权利要求1所述的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其中,所述的珠光颜料选自天然云母基材的珠光颜料、合成云母基材的珠光颜料、玻璃基材的珠光颜料、氧化铝基材的珠光颜料、氧化铁基材的珠光颜料的一种或几种的组合。
3.根据权利要求2所述的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其中,所述珠光颜料的粒度为5-200微米;和/或
硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层、耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层的厚度各自独立地是7-500nm。
4.根据权利要求3所述的的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其中,所述珠光颜料的粒度为10-60微米;和/或
硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层、耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层的厚度各自独立地是10-300nm。
5.根据权利要求3所述的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其中,硫酸钡层、二氧化硅层、耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层的厚度各自独立地是20-300nm。
6.根据权利要求1-5中任一项所述的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料,其中,所述耐高温的硅烷偶联剂层为γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷层。
7.权利要求1-6的任一项所述的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料的制备方法,其包括:
(A)将珠光颜料加水打浆,获得了珠光颜料的浆料或浆液;
(B)通过在珠光颜料的浆液中添加硫酸钠和氯化钡来沉淀硫酸钡,在珠光颜料的表面上包覆硫酸钡的膜层;
(C)通过在步骤B获得的混合物体系中添加水溶性硅酸盐并让水溶性硅酸盐发生水解,在步骤(B)获得的珠光颜料表面上包覆二氧化硅;和
(D)在步骤(C)获得的珠光颜料的表面包覆耐高温的硅烷偶联剂,获得耐高温耐候性珠光颜料产品;
其中,硫酸钠的添加量为珠光颜料的0.1-5wt%,氯化钡的添加量为珠光颜料的0.1-5wt%,水溶性硅酸盐的添加量为珠光颜料的0.5-5wt%,耐高温的硅烷偶联剂的添加量为珠光颜料的0.5-3wt%。
8.根据权利要求7所述的制备方法,其中,步骤(B)包括在上述步骤(A)获得的珠光颜料浆料或浆液中加入硫酸钠并搅拌,调节pH至5.0-9.0,然后加入氯化钡的水溶液;和/或
步骤(C)包括调节pH至8.0-11.0,加入水溶性硅酸盐,在添加过程中保持pH稳定,添加完之后将pH降低至3.0-6.0;和/或
步骤(D)包括添加耐高温的硅烷偶联剂γ-缩水甘油醚氧丙基三甲氧基硅烷,并搅拌,然后过滤、洗涤、烘干。
9.根据权利要求8所述的制备方法,其中,步骤(B)包括在上述步骤(A)获得的珠光颜料浆料或浆液中加入硫酸钠并搅拌,调节pH至6.5~7.5;和/或
步骤(C)包括调节pH至8.5-9.5,加入水溶性硅酸盐,在添加过程中保持pH稳定,添加完之后将pH降低至4.5-5.5。
10.根据权利要求7所述的制备方法,其中,硫酸钠的添加量为珠光颜料的0.5-2wt%;和/或
氯化钡的添加量为珠光颜料的0.5-2wt%。
11.根据权利要求10所述的制备方法,其中,硫酸钠的添加量为珠光颜料的0.8-1.5wt%;和/或

15.根据权利要求1-6中任一项所述的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料或由权利要求7-14中任何一项所述的方法制备的耐高温耐候性珠光颜料用于氟碳漆或粉末涂料的用途。
