主料制备,金银花茶需要90%的茗茶作主料。将采来的鲜茶叶,按照绿茶的加工方法制成干茶,要求含水量不超过4%(手捻叶成粉,手折梗即断),并要去除老叶、碎叶、叶末和杂质。金银花采收,5~7月为金银花采收期,在此期间,当花蕾由绿变白,上部膨大,下部青色时,即可采收。茶叶吸香,将干茶与金银花鲜品置于能密封的容器内摊放,即一层茶叶一层银花(银花必须平摊于纱布袋中),加盖把容器口密封好。此后每隔2~3小时,将银花提出,把茶叶拌匀。花茶配制,茶叶吸香后,把金银花提出置于阳光下曝晒,当银花手搓可成粉时,即可与吸香茶叶按1比10的比例混合均匀。金银花必须在阳光下晒干,不宜烘干,否则难以保持原有色泽。上述方法制成的花茶,可以达到色香味俱佳的效果。

金银花属忍冬科藤本植物,用它的花与茶叶加工成金银花茶,芳香可口,具有清凉解毒、通经活络等功效。
