Abstract
具有高的抗磨损性质的润滑剂组合物,包括(A)
100至0.5%,优选为10至0.5%(重量)的式(I)的
聚醚;其中T和T′是如说明书中所述的端基,m、n、
s、p是如说明书中所述的整数系数,并且该聚醚的平
均分子量在1000至100000范围;(B)0至99.9%,优
选为90至99.5%(重量)的具非活性端基的全氟聚
醚;该润滑油组合物或其在含适当稠厚剂情况下制成
的润滑脂具有很高的抗磨损性质。
Description
本发明涉及以全氟聚醚化合物为基础的组合物,该组合物具有润滑特性和改进的抗磨损性质。
从意大利专利20322A/86可知,使用了于20℃运动粘度范围为8000-40000厘沲的流动性全氟聚醚作为润滑油或全氟润滑脂的组分,以得到具低摩擦系数的润滑剂。
上述的专利申请证明,从直型低运动粘度(例如30-250厘沲)全氟聚醚不可能达到低摩擦系数。
另方面,发现全氟聚醚的抗磨损性质不是与其摩擦系数直接相关的,亦即当粘度增大时抗磨损性质未必提高。
此外,从意大利专利20159A/86得知数种用于以全氟聚醚为基础的润滑剂的添加剂,它们使全氟聚醚具有抗生锈性质。
在该专利中似乎未能使该全氟聚醚润滑剂提高抗磨损性质,从而证明抗磨损性质亦不能与抗生锈性质直接关连。
另方面,该全氟聚醚润滑剂的抗磨损特性与矿物油的该性质相似,并且对于大多数润滑剂实际用途并不能完全满足要求。
本发明者发现,由具有下列通式的全氟聚醚组成的润滑剂,或是基于后述定义的全氟聚醚并含式(Ⅰ)的全氟聚醚作为添加剂的组合物,可具有更优的抗磨损性质:
在式(Ⅰ)中,带有m、n、s、p等系数的全氟氧亚烷基单元是沿链长无规分布的。
在式(Ⅰ)中的系数m、n、s、p是整数,并使具该结构的分子的平均分子量在1000至100000范围,优选为2000至5000。当这些系数都不是零时,s∶p的比值约为10,s∶n为0.5至1.5,n∶m约为10。当n为零时,s∶p约为10,s∶m约为20。当s和p为零时,n∶m范围为0.6至2。
在式(Ⅰ)中还可以存在(-CF2-CF2-CF2O)和(或)(-CF2CF2CF2CF2O-)的全氟氧亚烷基单元。
端基T和T′可以相同或不同,包括如下的惰性端基:CF2X-、C2F4X-、C3F6X-,也包括如下的氟化的活性端基:羧基、醇基、酰氨基、酮基、氨基、烷氧基,其中举出以下的基团为例:

R1、R2彼此相同或不同,它们是H或烷基、烷芳基、芳基,并可任选含取代基,例如-OH、卤素,或者它们可以与N形成含例如O、S、P杂原子的杂环基;
A表示一种伯-、仲-或叔胺,或一种杂环碱,并可任选含有如O、S、P的杂原子;
Y=-OCH3、-NH2、-NR1R2;
条件是T和T′至少其一是上述活性基团之一;
或当系数s、p为零时,T与T′可相同或不同,并且是这些基团:

具式(Ⅰ)的产物可从具下式的前体而得到:
其中m、n、s、p、X具有前述定义的值,其中L与L′可相同或不同,包括下列的惰性端基:-CXF2、-C2XF4、-C3XF6,其中X=F、Cl;还包括下列的活性基团:

其中L和L′至少其一是上述活性端基之一。
在式(Ⅱ)中还可存在有(-CF2CF2CF2O-)和(或)(-CF2CF2CF2CF2O-)基团。
按式(Ⅱ)的前体可按已知方法制备,即在紫外辐照存在下,于-80至+40℃温度,在有或无溶剂存在下将一种或多种全氟烯烃如四氟乙烯、六氟丙烯、氯三氟乙烯与氧进行反应,然后将所得产物于200至250℃进行热处理,使其中可能存在的过氧化物基(-O-O-)分解。
在式(Ⅱ)中,当n为零时X是F,而当s、p为零时,该活性端基是-CF2COF,并且X是F或Cl。
式(Ⅰ)产物可从式(Ⅱ)化合物直接制得,或使式(Ⅱ)化合物的活性端基与适当的试剂如H2O或式NHR1R2的胺进行反应而得,或将所成的基团进一步转化:将相应的羧基还原而得醇基;将相应的伯酰胺基脱水而得腈基;以及用胺处理羧基而得季铵羧基。
上述的式(Ⅰ)化合物可作为促进抗磨损性质的添加剂应用于属于下列各类之一的全氟聚醚:
其中X为-F、-CF3;A与A′相同或不同,可以是-CF3、C2F5、C3F7。(CF2CF(CF3)O)和(CFXO)单元是沿全氟聚醚链无规分布;m和n是整数并且m∶n的范围在20至1000,该全氟聚醚的粘度范围为10至4000厘沲。这种全氟聚醚的制备是按英国专利1104482所述将六氟丙烯进行光氧化反应,然后按英国专利1226566所述方法将其端基转化成惰性的基团而成;
其中B可以是-C2F5、-C3F7;m是正整数并使产物的粘度在1类所列的范围内;
这类化合物的制备是按US 2242218所述方法将六氟丙烯环氧化物进行离子低聚反应,然后用氟对酰基氟(COF)进行处理而成;
其中m是整数,并使产物粘度在上述规定的范围内;
这些产物的制备是按US 3214478所述的方法将六氟丙烯环氧化物进行离子调聚反应,然后将酰基氟进行光化学二聚反应而成;
其中A和A′相同或不同,并可以是-CF3、-C2F5、-C3F7;
X是-F、-CF3;m、n和q是整数,也可以是零,但在任何情况下它们使该全氟聚醚的粘度在上述范围内;
这些产物的制备是按US 3665041所述的方法,将C3F6和C2F4的混合物进行光氧化,然后用氟处理而成;
其中p和q相同或不同并且是整数,p∶q包括在0.1至5范围,并使产物粘度在上述范围内;
这些全氟聚醚的制备是按US 3715378将C2F4进行光化学氧化,然后按US 3665041对该光氧化产物用氟处理而成;
6.AO-(CF2-CF2-CF2O)m-A′
其中A和A′相同或不同,并且可以是-C2F5、-C3F7;m是整数并且使该产物的粘度在上述范围内;
这些产物是按EP 148482制备而得;
7.DO-(CF2-CF2O)rD′
其中D和D′相同或不同,并且可以是-CF3、-C2F5;r是整数并且使该产物的粘度在上述范围内;
这些产物是按US 4523039制备而得;
其中Rf′是一种全氟烷基;n至少为8;Rf是F或一个全氟烷基;
这类全氟聚醚在PCT专利申请WO 87/00538中有所描述。
除上面举出的之外,可以加入式(Ⅰ)化合物的其他基础流动性液体可以有石蜡基和(或)芳香基矿物油,聚烯烃,聚硅氧烷和聚氟硅氧烷流动性液体,以及聚磷腈。
前面举出的1和8类全氟聚醚具有全氟烷基惰性端基,它们是蒸汽压力很低的液体,其20℃粘度一般范围为50至100000厘沲,优选为100至2000厘沲。前述的式(Ⅰ)产物可溶解于此等液体中。
因此,本发明的目的是将含如下成分的组合物应用作为抗磨损润滑剂:100至0.1%优选为10至0.5%(重量)的上述式(Ⅰ)聚醚;0至99.9%优选为90至99.5%(重量)的作为基础液体的属于上述1至8类至少其一的全氟聚醚。
以下的实施例是为阐明之用,并非对本发明范围的限定。
这些实施例是对含有上述1至8类全氟聚醚和(或)通式(Ⅰ)的氟化聚醚的润滑油鉴定其特性。
这些实施例中的含有或不含所述式(Ⅰ)全氟聚醚的或是由它所组成的润滑油,是按ASTM D4172B方法以四球磨损机来测定其抗磨损性质,采用其中的操作条件和混合润滑作用。
测试方法概要
将三个0.5英寸直径的钢球固定在适当的容器中,并用受试的润滑剂浸没这些球。
将与前相同的第四个球放在这三个球上面,使之有三个接触点,在固定负荷条件下转动这个球,经历规定的时间。在给定的时间将该润滑剂进行温度调整。
按那些固定球的平均磨损直径来评价比较该润滑剂的性能。
所用设备
测试设备包括电马达和滑轮系使之能以不同转速操作。与驱动轴成整体的转轴包含由0.5英寸直径的钢球构成的上部试件。
在一个容器中置放有三个直径和材料与上述者全同的钢球,它们是固定在容器中并浸在该润滑剂中。
从下向上施加的可变负荷将下边的球向上推,压在那个与转轴成整体的球上。
负荷是利用杠杆系统加上去。
由感应加热装置保持容器内的润滑剂温度恒定,由该处安装的热电偶测温。
润滑剂达到预定温度、施加上预定负荷并选定转轴转速之后,开始进行试验并经历预定的时间。
试验条件
所报告的结果是按如下条件进行试验的:
负荷 40千克
温度 75℃
转速 1200转/分钟
时间 60分钟
球的准备
球是用AISI钢材标准E-52100铬钢制造,直径0.5英寸,25EP(超光洁度)级,将之先后在正己烷(15分钟)及Delifrene HP(三氯三氟乙烷)(15分钟)浸泡以清洁和去脂,其后用无水空气风干。
磨损评价
试验完毕后,不必将下边三个球从容器中取出,用分辨力为0.01毫米的显微镜测每一个球的磨损面。将每一个球的润滑剂以15分钟滴净,用Delifrene HP洗净磨损部位,对由于转动而在表面产生的磨痕进行测量,测一个沿转动方向的直径,测一个与前者垂直向的直径(测量6次),得平均值,得出平均磨损直径(毫米)。

制备组合物,以不同粘度的具下式的1类全氟聚醚为基础液:

实例16和17
测定实例13和14的全氟聚醚基础液(4和5类)在不加添加剂情况下的抗磨损性质。测得平均磨损直径分别为0.90和0.92毫米。
实例18和19(对比试验)
用5类全氟聚醚,其20℃运动粘度为250厘沲,并加入2%(重量)的如下式的氟化膦:
(这是用于全氟聚醚的常规式稳定剂),测定不加添加剂情况下的抗磨损特性。
前一个实例得平均磨损直径为1.52毫米,后一个实例为0.94毫米。
实例20(对比试验)
制备组合物,其中含97%(重量)的实例1的全氟聚醚作为基础液,3%(重量)的混合添加剂,其中含97%(重量)的下式化合物:

所述添加剂见之于意大利专利申请20183A/88(该申请人所用名称为一种能对本实例的全氟聚醚提高抗生锈性质的混合物)。
所得平均磨损直径为1.04毫米。

重复实例1,但使用下式的化合物为添加剂:

对于按意大利专利1151732所制润滑脂测定抗磨损性质,其中的基础液是实例1至5所述的1类全氟聚醚,其20℃运动粘度为1500厘沲,其含量为66.5%(重量);其中的添加剂是实例1至5所用添加剂,其平均分子量为2250,其含量为3.5%(重量);其中的稠厚剂是聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)如Algoflon L 206(本申请人所生产),用量为30%(重量)。
所得平均磨损直径为0.98毫米。
实例24
按实例23的方式,只使用实例23所用的添加剂作为基础液(用量70%,重量),使用Algoflon L 206作为稠厚剂(用量30%,重量),制成润滑脂。测得此润滑脂的平均磨损直径为0.70毫米。
实例25
按实例23的方式,以实例23所用同一全氟聚醚作为基础液(用量67.8%);以实例15所用同一添加剂作为其添加剂(2.2%,重量),以Algoflon L 206作为稠厚剂,制成润滑脂。
测定所制润滑脂的平均磨损直径为0.96毫米。

Claims (5)
1、抗磨损性润滑剂组合物,其中包含:
其中:
T和T′相同或不同,它们是具式-CF2X、-C2F4X、-C3F6X的惰性端基,以及包含羧基和(或)醇基和(或)酮基和(或)酰胺基和(或)氨基和(或)烷氧基的经氟化的活性端基;条件是T和T′之中至少其一是所述活性端基其中之一;
X是F、Cl;
m、n、s、p是整数,并且使得该聚醚的平均分子量范围为1000至100000;条件是当这些系数都不是零时,s∶p约为10,s∶n为0.5至1.5,n∶m约为10;当n为零时,s∶p约为10,s∶m约为20;当s和p为零时,n∶m为0.6至2;
(B)0至99.9%(重量)的下列1至8类之中的至少一种全氟聚醚:(1)
其中X为-F、-CF3;A与A′相同或不同,可以是-CF3、C2F5、C3F7;(CF2CF(CF3)O)和(CFXO)单元是沿全氟聚醚链无规分布;m和n是整数并且m∶n的范围在20至1000,该全氟聚醚的粘度范围为10至4000厘沲;这种全氟聚醚的制备是按英国专利1104482所述将六氟丙烯进行光氧化反应,然后按英国专利1226566所述方法将其端基转化成惰性的基团而成;(2)
其中B可以是-C2F5、-C3F7;m是正整数并使产物的粘度在1类所列的范围内;
其中m是整数,并使产物粘度在上述规定的范围内;
这些产物的制备是按US 3214478所述的方法将六氟丙烯环氧化物进行离子调聚反应,然后将酰基氟进行光化学二聚反应而成;
其中A和A′相同或不同,并可以是-CF3、-C2F5、-C3F7;
X是-F、-CF3;m、n和q是整数,也可以是零,但在任何情况下它们使该全氟聚醚的粘度在上述范围内;
这些产物的制备是按US 3665041所述的方法,将C3F6和C2F4的混合物进行光氧化,然后用氟处理而成;(5)
CF3O(C2F4O)p(CF2O)q-CF3
其中p和q相同或不同并且是整数,p∶q包括在0.1至5范围,并使产物粘度在上述范围内;
这些全氟聚醚的制备是按US 3715378将C2F4进行光化学氧化,然后按US 3665041对该光氧化产物用氟处理而成;

AO-(CF2-CF2-CF2O)m-A′
其中A和A′相同或不同,并且可以是-C2F5、-C3F7;m是整数并且使该产物的粘度在上述范围内;
这些产物是按EP 148482制备而得;

DO-(CF2-CF2O)rD′
其中D和D′相同或不同,并且可以是-CF3、-C2F5;r是整数并且使该产物的粘度在上述范围内;
这些产物是按US 4523039制备而得;
其中R′ f是一种全氟烷基;n至少为8;Rf是F或一个全氟烷基;
这类全氟聚醚在PCT专利申请WO 87/00538中有所描述。
2、权利要求1所述组合物的用途,该组合物包含具通式(Ⅰ)和聚醚(A),其含量为0.5至10%(重量),以及全氟聚醚(B),其含量为99.5至90%(重量)。
3、权利要求1和2所述的组合物的用途,其中通式(Ⅰ)的聚醚的平均分子量范围为2000至5000。
4、含有权利要求1至3所述至少一种组合物和一种稠厚剂的润滑脂作为抗磨损润滑剂的用途。
5、按权利要求4的用途,其中的稠厚剂是聚四氟乙烯。
