Description

本发明涉及由内部挠性管、外壳和位于挠性管和外壳之间的消音材料,象矿物棉、钢棉或类似材料组成的排气消音器。
表示在瑞典专利NO.73  11  076-9和NO.85  00  785-4以及英国专利NO.1  191  124里的现有技术,作为例子,推荐了一种挠性的或可弯的排气消音器。在这方面的问题是,试图提供具有两种相互对立特点的排气管,一方面排气管是挠性的或可弯曲的,同时保持其自由横截面,另一方面,当排气管安装好以后,必须保持着弯曲操作时形成的形状。举例来说,在小汽车底面,排气管受相当大的惯性力作用,会产生不希望有的弯曲。替换的方案是设置相对多的支点将排气管连接到汽车上。
本发明的目的是提供一种克服上述缺点的排气管。
本发明的排气消音器由内部挠性管、外壳及位于挠性管和外壳之间的消音材料组成。该排气管的特点是外壳是由带状物局部重叠地螺旋式地缠绕起来的,在每圈之间的重叠部分涂有可硬化的粘合剂。
在一实施例里,第二条带状物螺旋地缠绕在上述外壳上,而缠绕的方向与第一条带状物缠绕的方向相反。第二条带状物也可是局部重叠缠绕,并至少在每圈之间的重叠部分涂有可硬化的粘合剂。可在一条或二条带状物的内表面涂有可硬化的粘合剂。那么,外面的带状物将粘附于第一条螺旋缠绕在里面的带状物的外面。可硬化的粘合剂可是热固型的粘合剂,例如,当排气管连接在机动车辆上时,由于所排废气里的热量,使外壳粘牢固化。也可用其它粘合剂替换,这种粘合剂是受环境因素,象空气或湿度的影响的,在这种情况下,排气管制造以后,应立即用密封套密封,当排气管需安装之前,例如排气管弯曲成形时再从密封套内取出。
内管原则上可是任意型的。然而最好是采用通过球窝式加压连接而将相对短的管连接起来的管,以便当排气管弯曲时,轴向长度保持恒定。这样,当排气管受到例如弯曲操作时的轴向拉伸力时,就会减少外壳带状物每圈之间脱离的危险。
限定在权利要求范围内的本发明参照实施例和示意图说明如下:
图1  示意性地表示本发明的排气管的较佳内部管的轴向截面,同时也表示了它的制造方法。
图2  示意性地表示了本发明排气管轴向截面。
从图1中可以看到,内管2由大致上呈圆柱形的多孔元件组成的薄金属环10形成,圆柱形的多孔元件带有大致外凹的横截面5及不同长度的截面环缘6和截面环缘7,孔8在排气管里的作用是消音。如图1所示,环10上较长的环缘6与相邻环10上的较短环缘7按箭头11所指的方向配合,径向向内的压力12作用在环缘6上,以便环缘6紧缩在环缘7上,形成球窝式连接1。可调正径向向内的压力,以便在相邻环10之间提供预定的摩擦力,以使其保持在弯曲操作时已形成的状态。
图2  表示了提供在内管2外侧的消音材料3,例如矿物棉、钢棉或类似材料层。
然后,可在带有任何一种消音材料3的内管2的外面提供一外壳4。该外壳4至少由一条带状物41螺旋缠绕组成,并在相邻圈之间具有局部重叠部分42。在每圈之间的重叠部分有一层可硬化的粘合剂43。带状物41的整个内表面最好涂上可硬化的粘合剂。
外壳4还可包括缠绕在带状物41外面的第二条带状物141,在相邻圈之间有局部重叠部分142,至少在重叠部分提供可硬化的粘合剂143,以便在硬化时将缠绕圈粘合在一起。最好在带状物141的整个宽度上提供粘合剂143,以便带状物141粘附在第一条螺旋缠绕起来的带状物41上。
可以理解,图2所示的内管2可以很容易地弯成所要求的形状,同时保持其自由的截面,没有来自外壳4或消音材料3的明显阻力。通过粘合剂的硬化,排气管便可按要求的形状永久性的固定。
举例来说,为了生产小汽车的排气系统,可将图2中的排气管切成所要求的长度,然后弯成适合特定牌号及型号汽车的形状。当排气管仍在模压装置中时,便将可硬化的粘合剂43硬化,然后将预成形的排气管按传统方法安装好。可替换的方法是,在弯曲操作中成形的排气管在粘合剂43不硬化的情况下安装,然后再将粘合剂143借助流经排气系统的热废气来硬化。
显然,其它类型的硬化粘合剂也可使用,象受环境因素例如大气中的湿度影响而固化的一类粘合剂。在这种情况下,排气管在制造好后,应用一密封套套住,这样,在管子成形及安装时有意去除包装以前便可防止粘合剂硬化。

Claims (6)

1、一种排气消音器,它包括内部挠性管(2),外壳(4)以及位于挠性管(2)和外壳(4)之间的消音材料(3),其特点在于:外壳(4)是由带状物(41)局部重叠地螺旋缠绕组成,在每圈重叠部分(42)之间涂有可硬化的粘合剂(43)。
2、按权利要求1所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:第二条带状物(141)以与第一条带状物(41)缠绕方向相反的方向螺旋缠绕在第一条带状物(41)上。
3、按权利要求2所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:第二条带状物(141)是局部重叠地缠绕的,在重叠部分(142)处涂有可硬化的粘合剂(143)。
4、按权利要求1至3中任一项所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:在带状物(41、141)内表面整个宽度上涂有可硬化的粘合剂。
5、按权利要求1至4中的任一项所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:可硬化的粘合剂是热固型的。
6、按权利要求1至4中任一项所述的排气消音器,其特征在于:粘合剂受环境因素,例如大气湿度影响而硬化,并且排气管用密封套密封,只在其安装前才将密封套除去。
