Ο σιγαστήρ εξατμίσεως περιλαμβάνει εσωτερικόν, εύκαμπτον σωλήνα (2) εξωτερικό περίβλημα (4) και υλικό καταπνίξεως του θορύβου (3) μεταξύ του σωλήνος (2) και του εξωτερικού περιβλήματος (4). Το περίβλημα περιλαμβάνει λωρίδα (41) περιτυλισσομένην ελικοειδώς με μερικήν επικάλυψιν. Μια αποξηράνσιμος συγκολλητική ουσία (43) ρυθμίζεται μεταξύ των ελιγμάτων εις την περιοχήν επικαλύψεως (42) και επιλέγεται, ώστε να αποξηραίνεται, αφού ο σωλήν εξατμίσεως καμφθή κατά το επιθυμητό σχήμα και προσαρμοσθή.ω
