Abstract

Description

桥式拼接器以及拼接传送带的方法
技术领域
本发明总的来说涉及用于塑料传送带对接端部热结合的拼接工具,更特别地,涉及具有用于在拼接时将具有纵向壁的传送带牢固夹持就位的位置可调夹持器的拼接工具。
背景技术
拼接压力机被用于将两部分热塑性传送带的对接端部焊接在一起。传统的压力机包括一对夹持器,每个夹持器夹持两个带段中的一个。夹持器延伸横跨带段的整个宽度,牢固地夹持其对接端部穿过缝隙彼此对面的带段。加热棒被移至缝隙中,两个夹持器关闭直到带段的对接端部接触加热棒的相反侧面。一旦在棒的热作用下带段对接端部足够变软或熔化,就撤回夹持器以使棒可被移走。而后夹持器相互朝向对方移动,直到变软或熔化的对接端部相遇。夹持器将对接端部夹在一起直至其界面接合处变冷。
尽管所描述的拼接压力机对具有平整外表面的带拼接得很好,但其对具有沿带长度方向延伸的垂直壁的带,诸如波纹侧面,拼接得并不好。
发明内容
这个缺点通过采用本发明特征的带拼接器来解决。带拼接器包括被缝隙分开的第一和第二夹持爪。第一桥接件具有在附连于第一夹持爪的第一端部的第一端部支承和附连于第一夹持爪的第二端部的第二端部支承之间被支撑的桥跨。第二桥接件结构相似并附连在第二夹持爪上。一个或多个第一夹持器沿第一桥接件的桥跨可独立地定位。第一夹持器朝向第一夹持爪延伸来抵靠着第一夹持爪夹持第一传送带端部。一个或多个第二夹持器沿第二桥接件的桥跨可独立地定位。第二夹持器朝向第二夹持爪延伸来抵靠着第二夹持爪夹持第二传送带端部。
在本发明的另一个方面,一种拼接具有沿传送带长度方向延伸并直立于传送带外表面的壁的传送带对接端部的方法包括:(a)在传送带对接端部处将直立于传送带外表面的壁的底部分离;(b)将对接端部以彼此面对的定位关系插入带拼接器中,该拼接器对于每个对接端部具有位置可调节夹持器;(c)在每个对接端部处调节夹持器的横向位置,以在一对相邻夹持器之间提供用以接纳直立壁的空间;(d)用夹持器夹持对接端部;(e)在带拼接器中将对接端部焊接在一起。

具体实施方式
现有技术的一种拼接工具如图1所示,具有如图2和图3所示的加热棒。工具10总的来说从一端到另一端、从左到右对称,其包括左和右夹持爪12、13,其在工具每一端具有孔洞14、15。左夹持爪中的孔洞与右夹持爪中的孔洞对齐。穿过孔洞14、15延伸的横轨16支撑于拼接工具的框架,使夹持爪对齐,并且提供支撑指引,夹持爪沿该指引相互之间进行相向和远离运动。在夹持爪12、13上的上台板18具有定位槽20、21,从它的顶表面向内凹陷以与结构配合,该结构诸如将被拼接的传送带24非平坦侧的横肋22。对于如图3所示的传送带,驱动肋22接纳于夹持爪上台板18中的比较宽的槽20中。窄槽21容纳具有较窄横肋的带。槽允许带端部段26、27平坐在夹持爪上台板上,使两个带段在垂直方向和水平方向彼此对齐地定位。
将被拼接在一起的两个带端部段26、27被夹在对应的左和右夹持爪12、13之间以及左和右顶部夹持器28、29之间。顶部夹持器的底面30如夹持爪的上台板18一样形成有槽,以使带端部段26、27能可选地底部向上地焊接在一起,诸如当在原位以低回程将带拼接在一起时。顶部夹持器在每一端具有定位孔洞32来容纳销34(图5),用以将顶部夹持器和相应的夹持爪对齐,甚至于在夹持爪平移时。延长的手柄35固定到顶部夹持器的顶部,有助于方便移走顶部夹持器从而放开拼接好的带。
夹持爪借助于曲柄连杆机构36开合--每个拼接器的端部有一个曲柄连杆机构。曲柄连杆机构包括中心毂38,其可旋转地安装在固定于拼接器框架上的支撑块40上。毂具有带平坦面44的中心孔42。毂安装在轴46(图5)上,该轴沿拼接器的长度延伸并且限定了毂的旋转轴线47。在拼接器的另一端,曲柄连杆机构的安装在轴的另一端上。轴经过一个或两个曲柄连杆机构向外延伸以形成供操作者操作拼接器的手柄,诸如图8和9中所描述的其中之一。
U形的左和右连杆臂48、49在臂近端的位置处在枢轴50上安装在毂38的表面。枢轴跨过毂38的旋转轴线47在直径方向上相互对置。臂的远端通过枢轴51枢接到弹簧构件的左和右拉杆52、53的端部。拉杆在它们的相反端部终止于用于保持左和右挡盘54、55的头部61。共轴地围绕拉杆52、53的左和右压缩弹簧56、57与夹持爪12、13集成地从弹簧挡板54、55延伸到左和右弹簧座58、59。构成弹簧机构的弹簧构件能够关闭和快速打开夹持爪。在对立的接触侧62、63之间容纳加热组件的加热棒60可借助于从毂支撑块40向上延伸的棒支座66在夹持爪之间的缝隙64中定位,并且对正就位。
在图4A-4E中描述了曲柄连杆机构36的操作。在图4A中,夹持爪12、13分开成横跨缝隙64的最大距离。带端部段26、27在缝隙每一侧被夹持在夹持爪和顶部夹持器28、29之间。毂38可旋转至一定角位,在此连杆臂48、49不会垂直地重叠,而弹簧56、57处于延展的大致放松状态,具有小的储能。这表示曲柄连杆机构的完全释放位置。在图4B中,加热棒60显示为位于棒支座66中间。曲柄连杆毂38还在完全放松的位置。在图4C中,曲柄连杆机构38显示为处于锁定位置。在毂38的孔上的平坦面44指示毂已经从图4B所示的完全放松位置顺时针旋转了大约210°。在锁定位置,两个连杆臂互相重叠,其在毂上的近端枢轴50处于过中心位置,同与拉杆52、53连接的远端枢轴51分列在毂的旋转轴线47的相反侧。臂的近端68、69嵌在彼此的弯曲部70、71后面,这样一来提供了制动用来防止压缩弹簧56、57使毂部旋转。在曲柄连杆机构处在这种稳定的锁定位置时,弹簧使夹持爪闭合,直至在每个夹持爪端部的夹持爪相对面上的间隔垫72、73接触棒60的接触侧62、63,如图5所示。在这种闭合位置,带段26、27的对接边缘74、75(图2)接触棒的侧面并被熔化。与此同时,连杆臂48、49朝向毂38的方向拉动拉杆52、53,压缩了弹簧56、57。在这个状态,在压缩了的弹簧中储存的能量接近最大。
一旦对接边缘74、75被加热棒60充分熔化,夹持爪12、13就可以放开了。毂38逆时针旋转。在曲柄连杆机构的肘节位置,如图4D所示,两个臂的近端枢轴50和末端枢轴51彼此之间、与毂的旋转轴线47以及与拉杆轴76成一条直线。这也表示弹簧最大程度的压缩,因此在弹簧中储存的能量最大。一旦毂略微进一步逆时针旋转,压缩弹簧快速将其储存的能量释放进连杆臂48、49中,从而使毂沿逆时针方向78旋转,如图4E所示。做自由轮转动的毂使连杆臂的近端枢轴50旋转,其弯曲部70、71以短时段、高量值的力量向外推动弹簧座58、59以打开夹持爪。毂突然的自由轮转动加快了夹持爪的打开,迅速地将带段的带边缘从加热棒侧面分开。弹簧能量快速释放进曲柄连杆机构,从而产生脉冲力,其沿相反方向作用于每个夹持爪的弹簧座,进而使得对接边缘从棒上的迅速分离,以防止了粘性的热塑带材料,诸如聚酯,粘到加热棒的侧面上。毂继续逆时针做自由轮转动直到其达到图4A中它的完全退回位置。之后棒60可以从缝隙64中抬升。为防止夹持爪弹回及再次闭合,当毂在图4E和4A之间的位置时,连杆臂通过推动弹簧座轻微地压缩弹簧。因此,曲柄连杆机构呈现出一种用于快速释放夹持爪的手段。
当加热棒移走后,夹持爪12、13通过毂38顺时针旋转经过过中心肘节点到锁定位置而再次闭合,如图6和图7所示。由于没有加热棒,在夹持爪之间的缝隙64较窄,以使得随着熔体固化,熔化的带段26、27的对接边缘74、75被紧压在一起。位于夹持爪每个端部的相对间隔垫72、73保持接触,来保持在夹持爪之间的适当的距离,以维持在连续横肋之间测量的带的节距。一旦两个带段焊接到一起,上夹28、29就被手柄35抬起,而焊合的带就从拼接器上移走。
图8显示了采用本发明特征的带拼接器,尤其在具有纵向壁的带段的拼接中很有用。拼接器80可与图1至7中显示的现有技术相似,也可以是用于塑料带段的任何夹持器形状的拼接器。拼接器80不同于图1至7中的拼接器之处在于,还进一步包括分别位于每个拼接器半体上的桥接件82、83。每个桥接件具有支撑于端部支承86、87之间的中间桥跨84。端部支承86、87附连于夹持爪12、13的相对端部。如图9所示,一个或多个带夹持器88通过螺钉90、螺栓或任何合适的紧固件固定在桥跨84上。在本例中,螺钉90与位于夹框94顶端的螺纹孔91啮合,如图10所示。在桥跨顶面中形成的狭缝96允许夹持器88可调节并且沿桥跨独立地定位。紧固螺钉90延伸穿过狭缝并且进入螺纹孔。拧紧螺钉将夹持器稳固地安装到桥接件上的理想位置。夹持器脚板105通过延伸穿过通孔93的带肩螺栓92可滑动地附连于夹框94的底部。带肩螺栓的螺纹端部95旋进夹持器脚板105中的螺纹孔97中。带肩螺栓能滑动穿过通孔用以提供在夹持器脚板和夹框之间的一定范围的分开距离。保持在位于夹持器脚板105上的凹陷101和相应的位于夹框94底部的凹陷里的弹簧99从框架抵靠着带的上表面向下推压夹持器脚板,从而适合于被拼接的带段上表面的变化。具有短脚板103的最外夹持器98位于带夹持器88的侧面,并且夹住被拼接的带段的最外侧边缘。脚板103直接固定在最外夹持器98的腿107上,没有中间弹簧和带肩螺栓。以这种方式,最外夹持器98在长度上固定以牢固夹持带边缘,而内部的夹持器88在长度上是自调节的以适应带的上表面在横跨其宽度上的变化。位于桥跨前表面102中的狭缝100允许调节用手指旋拧螺钉104进入最外夹持器以将其锁定到理想位置。
如图8所示,桥接件82、83具有位置可调的夹持器,使拼接器能够拼接具有沿传送带108长度方向延伸的垂直壁、例如波纹侧壁106的带。夹持器88沿桥接件82的桥跨84定位,在相邻夹持器(88A和88B)之间具有用以容纳侧壁106的空间110。带的对接端部113在夹板105和夹持爪12之间被夹持。杠杆114开启、关闭夹持爪12、13。具有加热构件118的加热棒116被插入桥接件之间的缝隙117中用以软化或熔化两个对接端部。加热构件通过延展框架122附连于手柄120,以便适合于桥接件的高度。
拼接具有沿其长度方向延伸的纵向壁的传送带的方法如图11A-11F所示。首先,例如,如图11A所示,用诸如刀片128等将壁122的底部从带126的对接端部124分离。壁被向后切割约一英寸左右,或使壁的分离部分在焊接时能从带的对接边缘130分开的足够量。如图11B中的顶视图所示,接下来将被拼接的对接端部124插入带拼接器80中,其对接边缘126以相互面对的方式排列。在每个对接端部处调整夹持器88在桥接件上的横向位置,用以在一对相邻夹持器间提供空间110来接纳壁122。其次,通过夹持器将对接端部夹紧到相关联的夹持爪。壁的分离端部131被保持从对接边缘126分开,诸如通过胶带132将其粘在夹框臂92上。接下来,通过加热构件134将对接端部软化或熔化。一旦对接边缘130被足够加热,加热构件就会被移走,然后通过拼接器将对接端部130压到一起进行焊接,如图11C中的顶视图所示。然后,释放壁的分离端部131,打开拼接器夹持器,并且从拼接器上移走拼接好的带。接下来,用热风鼓风机136吹出来的热空气将每一个带段的壁的分离端部131连接在一起,如图11D和11E所示。热空气直接吹向两个壁的分离端部131的重叠部位,直至其软化。作为热鼓风机产生的对流加热的另一种选择,壁端部还可以通过由直接接触热烙铁产生的传导加热而连接在一起。而后,软化端部131通过夹持器138夹在一起,如图11E所示,直到产生结合部。移走夹持器,带126和带壁122的拼接就完成了,如图11F所示。

Claims (13)

1.一种带拼接器,包括:
被缝隙分开的第一和第二夹持爪,每个夹持爪具有第一和第二端;
第一桥接件,其具有在附连于所述第一夹持爪的第一端上的第一端部支承和附连于所述第一夹持爪的第二端上的第二端部支承之间被支撑的桥跨;
第二桥接件,其具有在附连于所述第二夹持爪的第一端上的第一端部支承和附连于所述第二夹持爪的第二端上的第二端部支承之间被支撑的桥跨;
一个或多个第一夹持器,其可沿所述第一桥接件的桥跨独立地定位,并朝向所述第一夹持爪延伸,用以抵靠着所述第一夹持爪夹持第一传送带端部;
一个或多个第二夹持器,其可沿所述第二桥接件的桥跨独立地定位,并朝向所述第二夹持爪延伸,用以抵靠着所述第二夹持爪夹持第二传送带端部。
2.如权利要求1所述的带拼接器,其中,所述第一和第二桥接件包括沿其桥跨在第一和第二端部之间延伸的狭缝,以及可沿所述狭缝定位、并且将相应夹持器在选定位置连接到桥接件的紧固件。
3.如权利要求1所述的带拼接器,包括沿所述第一桥接件的桥跨定位的多个第一夹持器,在至少一对所述第一夹持器之间具有空间,以及沿所述第二桥接件的桥跨定位的多个第二夹持器,在至少一对所述第二夹持器之间具有空间。
4.如权利要求1所述的带拼接器,其中,第一和第二夹持器在长度方向上是自调节的,以适应第一和第二带端部的表面的变化。
5.如权利要求4所述的带拼接器,其中,第一和第二夹持器包括框架,可滑动地附连于所述框架的脚盘,以及在所述框架和所述脚盘之间的沿着远离所述框架的方向偏压所述脚盘的弹簧。
6.如权利要求4所述的带拼接器,进一步包括位于在第一和第二桥接件上的第一和第二夹持器侧面的长度固定的最外夹持器。
7.一种拼接传送带的对接端部的方法,传送带具有沿着传送带长度方向的、从传送带外表面直立的壁,所述方法包括:
在传送带的对接端部处将从传送带外表面直立的壁的底部分离;
将所述对接端部以彼此面对的定位关系插入所述带拼接器中,所述拼接器对于每个对接端部具有位置可调夹持器;
在每个对接端部处调节所述夹持器的横向位置,以在一对相邻夹持器之间提供用于接纳所述直立壁的空间;
用所述夹持器夹持所述对接端部;
在所述拼接器中将所述对接端部焊接在一起。
8.如权利要求7所示的方法,其中,所述壁的底部通过切割被分离。
9.如权利要求7所示的方法,进一步包括:
放开所述夹持器,以放开焊接好的所述传送带;以及
在焊接的对接端部处将分离的壁连接在一起。
10.如权利要求9所示的方法,其中,通过对流加热方式对分离部分进行加热,使分离的壁连接在一起。
11.如权利要求10所示的方法,进一步包括在加热后将分离的壁夹持在一起。
