由于在没有点燃端香烟和其它的吸烟物品中出现燃烧的情况下由烟雾剂形成基底的受控加热产生和释放口味,因此对于电气加热吸烟系统开发的吸烟物品一般被特别设计。因此,对于电气加热吸烟系统设计的吸烟物品的结构可与点燃端吸烟物品的结构不同。使用具有电气加热吸烟系统的点燃端吸烟物品可导致用户的较差的吸烟体验,并且还会由于例如吸烟物品不与系统兼容而损伤系统。另外,可存在分别被配置为供系统使用但分别向用户提供不同的吸烟体验的大量的不同的吸烟物品。
发明内容
现在技术的电气加热吸烟系统中的一些包括能够检测在吸烟系统中接收的吸烟物品的存在的检测器。本发明的目的是提供包括向吸烟者提供附加的功能的检测器的改进的电气加热吸烟系统以及供这种系统使用的改进的物品。
根据本发明的第一方面,提供一种电气加热吸烟系统,该电气加热吸烟系统包括:包括在上面打印的识别信息的吸烟物品;用于至少部分接收吸烟物品的空腔;至少一个加热元件;用于向至少一个加热元件供电的电源;与电源和至少一个加热元件连接的电气硬件;和能够基于在吸烟物品上打印的识别信息检测空腔中的吸烟物品的存在并且将吸烟物品与被配置为供吸烟系统使用的其它物品区分开的检测器。

优选地,电气硬件被配置为基于由检测器识别的特定的吸烟物品建立用于至少一个加热元件的加热协议。
加热协议可包含加热元件的最高操作温度、每次抽吸的最长加热时间、抽吸之间的最短时间、每个吸烟物品的最大抽吸数量和吸烟物品的最长总加热时间中的一个或更多个。由于烟雾剂形成基底特别是吸烟物品会通过特定的加热条件需要或者提供改进的吸烟体验,因此建立对于特定的吸烟物品定制的加热协议是有利的。如上所述,优选地,电气硬件是可编程的,在这种情况下,可以存储和更新各种加热协议。

因此,通过提供能够区分被配置为供系统使用的不同类型的物品的检测器,可以提供各种优点。这样的一种优点在于,可基于识别的特定的清洁物品或吸烟物品优化系统的功耗。另外,检测器可识别多少吸烟物品以及哪些类型的吸烟物品已供吸烟系统使用,这可表示需要清洁吸烟系统的时间和频率以及需要用哪个清洁物品清洁吸烟系统。并且,吸烟系统可基于识别信息区分不同类型的吸烟物品、不同类型的清洁物品和相同类型的吸烟物品的不同批次。

至少一个加热元件可包含单个加热元件。作为替代方案,至少一个加热元件可包含多于一个的加热元件。加热元件或多个加热元件可被适当地配置,以最有效地加热吸烟物品中的烟雾剂形成基底或清洁物品中的清洁手段。

作为替代方案,至少一个加热元件可包含红外加热元件,诸如例如在US-A-5934289中描述的那些光子源或诸如例如在US-A-5613505中描述的那些感应加热元件。
至少一个加热元件可采取任何适当的形式。例如,至少一个加热元件可采取诸如在US-A-5388594、US-A-5591368和US-A-5505214中描述的那些加热刀片的形式。作为替代方案,至少一个加热元件可采取在EP-A-1128741中描述的具有不同的导电部分的外壳或基底或在WO-A-2007/066374中描述的电阻金属管的形式。作为替代方案,在KR-A-100636287和JP-A-2006320286中描述的通过烟雾剂形成基底的中心的一个或更多个加热针或棒也可能是合适的。作为替代方案,至少一个加热元件可以是盘(端部)加热器或具有加热针或棒的盘加热器的组合。其它的替代方案包括诸如在EP-A-1736065中描述的那些例如Ni-Cr、铂、钨或合金线的加热丝或线或者加热板。

电气加热吸烟系统还可包含用于表示什么时候至少一个加热元件被激活的指示器。
在一个优选的实施例中,电源是DC电压源。在一个实施例中,电压源是锂离子电池或锂离子磷酸盐电池。作为替代方案,电压源可以是金属氢化物镍电池或镍镉电池。电源可包括包含于电气加热吸烟系统中的功率单元。作为替代方案,电源可包含可通过外部充电部分充电的电路和用于与外部电源连接的接口。

根据本发明的第二方面,还提供包括在清洁物品上编码的识别信息并且被配置为用于清洁电气加热吸烟系统的清洁物品,该电气加热吸烟系统具有用于基于在清洁物品上编码的识别信息检测清洁物品并且将清洁物品与被配置为供吸烟系统使用的其它物品区分开的检测器。

识别信息可被配置为随着清洁物品被使用改变。
根据本发明的第三方面,还提供一种电气加热吸烟系统,该电气加热吸烟系统包括:包含在吸烟物品中或吸烟物品上面编码的识别信息的吸烟物品;用于至少部分接收吸烟物品的空腔;至少一个加热元件;用于向至少一个加热元件供电的电源;与电源和至少一个加热元件连接的电气硬件;和能够基于在吸烟物品中或吸烟物品上面编码的识别信息检测空腔中的吸烟物品的存在并且将吸烟物品与被配置为供吸烟系统使用的其它物品区分开的检测器。

图1表示根据本发明的电气加热吸烟系统101的一个示例性实施例的透视图。吸烟系统101包含具有前外壳部分105和后外壳部分107的外壳103。前外壳部分105包含具有能够接收诸如吸烟物品或清洁物品的物品的空腔111的前端部分109。在图1中,吸烟系统101被示为具有香烟115形式的吸烟物品。在本实施例中,前外壳部分105还包含显示器113。显示器113没有被详细表示,但是它可包含例如液晶显示器(LCD)、发光二极管(LED)显示器或等离子显示面板的任何适当的形式的显示器。另外,显示器可被配置为表示例如涉及吸烟物品或清洁物品的任何需要的信息。
电气加热吸烟系统101还包含位于空腔111中或与其相邻的检测器(图1没有示出)。检测器能够检测空腔中的物品的存在,并且还能够区分可供系统使用的各种物品。进一步参照图2讨论这一点。
图2表示可供本发明的实施例的电气加热吸烟系统使用的根据本发明的物品115、115′、115″、115″′的四个示例性实施例。
图2a表示香烟115形式的吸烟物品。在图2a中,通过使用多个圆形线201,涉及香烟类型的信息以一维形式被编码。圆形线位于要在空腔111中接收的香烟115的一部分上。在本实施例中,圆形线的位置尽可能地远离加热端,以减少线在吸烟体验中将受损的可能性。可通过红外(IR)墨水、紫外(UV)墨水或可见墨水或者甚至通过使用磷光标记或荧光标记在吸烟物品上打印圆形线。在其它的实施例中, 可通过任意类型的适当的金属墨水在吸烟物品上打印圆形线。

作为替代方案,圆形线可包含两个线,一个具有固定宽度F,一个具有用于将涉及香烟类型的信息编码的可变宽度V。在这种情况下,由V/F给出香烟类型。圆形线201不需要在整个香烟周围延伸。但是,优选地,圆形线在香烟的大部分上延伸,使得可以很容易通过检测器203检测它们。
存在大量的可适于供本发明的物品使用的条形码标准。可供本发明使用的一种条形码类型是作为高密度连续二宽度条形码符号体系的“Interleaved 2 of 5”(I2/5)条形码。代码具有分别可以宽或窄的条(黑线)和间隔(白线)。I2/5条形码对于每五个条和间隔将一对数字编码:在五个条中将第一数字编码,而在与它们交错的五个间隔中将第二数字编码。每五个条或间隔中的两个较宽。作为替代方案,可以使用另一标准条形码符号体系,或者,可以开发专用于本申请的自定义码。
在图2a中,在203上示意性表示电气加热吸烟系统中的检测器。在本实施例中,检测器203包含适当的光(根据在物品上使用的墨水,为IR、UV或可见光)的光源和检测反射光的至少一个光电传感器。检测器可包含检测反射光的单个传感器。在这种情况下,可以通过测 量各种线通过检测器的时间随着吸烟物品被插入空腔中执行吸烟物品的检测。或者,检测器可包含检测反射光的多个传感器。在这种情况下,可以在香烟被插入空腔中时执行吸烟物品的检测。由于线基本上在香烟的整个圆周上延伸,因此,如果使用多个传感器,那么它们只需要沿香烟的纵轴在一个维度上延伸。并且,用户不需要手动使吸烟物品上的打印信息与检测器对准。
应当理解,关于图2a的吸烟物品描述的特征也可供另一类型的吸烟物品或供清洁物品使用。
图2b示意性地表示清洁物品115′。清洁物品包含清洁刷子205的形式的清洁手段。在图2b中,通过使用二维(2D)条形码207将涉及清洁物品的信息编码。条形码位于要在空腔111中接收的清洁物品115′的一部分上。在本实施例中,条形码207的位置尽可能地远离加热端,以减少条形码将在清洁过程中受损的可能性。可通过IR墨水、UV墨水或可见墨水或者甚至通过使用磷光标记或荧光标记或金属墨水在清洁物品上打印条形码。2D条形码可以为数据矩阵的形式。

在图2b中,在209上示意性地表示电气加热吸烟系统中的检测器。在本实施例中,检测器209包含每一个均包含适当的光的光源和检测反射光的光电传感器的检测器的线性阵列。由于检测器是检测器的线性阵列,因此,清洁物品应被插入空腔内,使得条形码与阵列对准。作为替代方案,为了使得整个条形码沿着阵列通过并由此使得检测器的线性阵列读取二维条形码,清洁物品可被插入空腔内并然后被用户手动旋转。在另一实施例中,检测器可包含CCD(电荷耦合器件)的二维阵列。在这种情况下,清洁物品应被插入空腔中,使得条形码与CCD阵列对准。作为替代方案,清洁物品可被插入空腔中,并然后被用户手动旋转,以使条形码与CCD阵列对准。在任意的情况下,可通过使用例如与空腔上的标记或沟槽对准的物品中的标记或沟槽的机械元件,向用户表示空腔中的物品的适当的位置或旋转量。在一个实施例中,在物品上设置与空腔中的缺口、沟槽或沟道协作的突起。突起优选沿物品的纵向延伸,并且被配置为与空腔壁中的相应的纵向沟槽对准。作为替代方案,可以通过物品上的相应的沟槽在空腔中设置突起。
作为替代方案,为了使得不需要适当地在空腔中对准或旋转物品,可以沿物品的周围重复打印二维条形码。如果检测器包含器件的二维阵列,那么,假定阵列的维度是足够的,检测器的视场将足以读取条形码的所有部分。
应当理解,关于图2b的清洁物品描述的特征可供另一类型的清洁物品或供吸烟物品使用。
图2a和图2b的实施例使用发光器和传感器以通过使用在物品上打印的信息检测空腔中的物品的存在并区分各种类型的物品。对于吸烟物品,由于可对于打印使用香烟的接装纸(tipping paper)或插塞包裹(plug wrap)并且打印可能在吸烟物品被加热时不影响烟化学,因此这会是有利的。
图2c表示香烟115″形式的吸烟物品。在图2c中,在香烟115″中的烟雾剂形成基底中的烟草中混入金属粉末。在烟雾剂形成插塞211上示意性表示这一点。金属粉末的量的变化可表示不同的香烟类型。在图2c中,电气加热吸烟系统中的检测器是包含包围吸烟物品的感应线圈的感应传感器。在213上示意性地表示这一点。在本实施例中,线圈213被周期性地连接,并且,电流的增加表示在空腔中存在香烟。电流的量增加不同的香烟类型之间的差异。金属可以以另一形式均匀地被包含,例如,作为例如在香烟上打印的金属化条形码。
使用感应传感器而不是光学传感器会是有利的,原因是检测器将不受系统中的任何污染物影响。应当理解,关于图2c的吸烟物品描述的特征也可供另一类型的吸烟物品或供清洁物品使用。如果供清洁物品使用,那么,可以在清洁刷子毛发或中间芯部中或者在清洁物品的剩余部分内加入金属元素。
在图2a、图2b和图2c所示的实施例中,涉及吸烟物品或清洁物品的信息在物品的结构上被编码。这允许电气加热吸烟系统不仅检测空腔中的物品的存在,而且从可供装置使用的大量的不同的类型识别一种类型的物品。对于吸烟物品,这使得电气加热吸烟系统能够对于特定的香烟类型或特定的用户或者对两者定制加热。例如,特定的基底可需要更长的操作温度或更长的加热时间。对于清洁物品,这使得电气加热吸烟系统能够对于特定的清洁手段定制加热。例如,特定的清洁成分可通过更高的操作温度或更长的加热时间提供改进的清洁。另外,可根据供系统使用的吸烟物品调整清洁操作。例如,较常使用的吸烟物品将需要更频繁或更长的清洁持续时间,或者,某些类型的吸烟物品会需要更频繁或更长的清洁持续时间或不同的清洁成分。另外,特定的物品的识别允许存储关于物品的各种信息,例如,抽吸的吸烟物品的数量、烟草的类型、下一次清洁的吸烟物品的数量和清洁物品的优选类型。
图2d表示香烟115″′形式的吸烟物品。如图2a所示,通过使用多个圆形线215将涉及香烟类型的信息编码。圆形线215位于要在空 腔111中接收的香烟115″′的一部分上,并且尽可能地远离加热端,以减少线在吸烟体验中将受损的可能性。另外,在香烟上设置附加的圆形线217。线217的位置接近加热端,并且被设计为在包含于吸烟体验中的加热中改变。线的改变表示香烟已被抽吸。
如图2a和图2b所示,可以通过红外(IR)墨水、紫外(UV)墨水或可见墨水或者甚至通过使用磷光标记或荧光标记或金属墨水在吸烟物品上打印圆形线215。可通过被配置当处于在空腔内达到的高温中时改变或消失的热敏墨水打印圆形线217。或者,可以使用允许线在加热中外观改变的另一机构。
在图2d中,在219上示意性地表示检测器。如以上参照图2a和图2b描述的那样,检测器可以为任何类型的适当的传感器。检测器被配置为使用圆形线215以检测香烟的存在并且识别香烟,并且使用圆形线217以确定香烟是否已被抽吸。在图2d中表示单个的检测器,但是,可以设置分别用于线215和217的各单独的检测器。线217能够简单地表示香烟是否被抽吸。或者,线217可表示香烟已被抽吸多长。这种信息可表示是否可从香烟得到进一步的抽吸以及其它的类似的信息。这种信息可被存储于硬件中。也可向用户显示这种信息。
在图2d的实施例中,使用一组信息(线215)以识别香烟,并且,使用另一组信息(线217)以识别香烟是否已被抽吸以及任选地识别已被抽吸多长。但是,单一一组信息同样能够同时表示香烟类型以及它是否已被抽吸。例如,一组线可提供关于香烟的编码信息并且被配置为在加热中改变。根据线的目的,香烟上的线的位置将是合适的。
应当理解,关于图2d的吸烟物品描述的特征也可供另一类型的吸烟物品或供清洁物品使用。如果供清洁物品使用,那么线217将表示清洁物品是否已被用于清洁并且任选地表示清洁物品已执行多少清洁。另外,作为圆形线的替代,可以使用大量的不同的打印配置(例如,条形码或数据矩阵)。
虽然在图2a、图2c和图2d中示出的实施例表示具有固体烟雾剂形成基底的香烟形式的吸烟物品,但是,情况不需要如此。烟雾剂形 成基底可以为以不同的形式、诸如以完全包含于电气加热吸烟系统内的胶囊的形式提供的固体基底。诸如在EP-A-1736065中描述的那样,烟雾剂形成基底可替代性地可以为液体基底。烟雾剂形成基底可以为任何其它适当类型的基底。
另外,示出的实施例表示其中用户直接在吸烟物品上抽吸的电气加热吸烟系统。但是,情况不需要如此。用户可直接在系统上、例如在烟嘴上抽吸。
本发明的上述的实施例提供大量的优点。首先,系统允许香烟尺寸的合理的制造容限。系统允许诸如温度和湿度的环境因素的可变性。系统是合理地稳健的,以允许消费者操作。系统还对于各种吸烟物品和清洁物品类型提供可靠一致的操作。
Claims (14)
1.一种电气加热吸烟系统,包括:
包含在其上面打印的识别信息的吸烟物品;
用于至少部分地接收吸烟物品的空腔;
至少一个加热元件;
用于向至少一个加热元件供电的电源;
与电源和至少一个加热元件连接的电气硬件;和
能够基于在吸烟物品上打印的识别信息检测空腔中的吸烟物品的存在并且将吸烟物品与被配置为供吸烟系统使用的其它物品区分开的检测器。
2.一种用于接收被配置为供吸烟系统使用的吸烟物品的电气加热吸烟系统,所述系统包括:
用于至少部分地接收吸烟物品的空腔,所述吸烟物品包含在其上面打印的识别信息;
至少一个加热元件;
用于向至少一个加热元件供电的电源;
与电源和至少一个加热元件连接的电气硬件;和
能够基于在吸烟物品上打印的识别信息检测空腔中的吸烟物品的存在并且将吸烟物品与被配置为供吸烟系统使用的其它物品区分开的检测器。
3.根据权利要求2的电气加热吸烟系统,其中,电气硬件被配置为基于由检测器识别的特定的吸烟物品建立用于至少一个加热元件的加热协议。
4.根据权利要求2或3的电气加热吸烟系统,其中,所述系统被配置为接收包含在其上面打印的识别信息的多个吸烟物品,并且,所述系统被配置为基于在吸烟物品上打印的识别信息仅与被配置为供吸烟系统使用的多个吸烟物品的子集一起操作,子集的每个吸烟物品能够被检测器区分。
5.根据权利要求2或3的电气加热吸烟系统,其中,检测器包括包含至少一个发光器和至少一个光传感器的光学传感器。
6.根据权利要求2或3的电气加热吸烟系统,其中,识别信息被配置为在加热中改变以表示吸烟物品是否已被抽吸。

9.一种电气加热吸烟系统,包括:

10.一种用于接收被配置为供吸烟系统使用的清洁物品的电气加热吸烟系统,所述系统包括:
用于至少部分地接收清洁物品的空腔,所述清洁物品包含在其上面编码的识别信息;
至少一个加热元件;
用于向至少一个加热元件供电的电源;
与电源和至少一个加热元件连接的电气硬件;和
能够基于在清洁物品上编码的识别信息检测空腔中的清洁物品的存在并且将清洁物品与被配置为供吸烟系统使用的其它物品区分开的检测器。
11.根据权利要求10的电气加热吸烟系统,其中,电气硬件被配置为基于由检测器识别的特定的清洁物品建立用于至少一个加热元件的加热协议。
12.根据权利要求10或11的电气加热吸烟系统,其中,识别信息被配置为在加热中改变以表示清洁物品是否已被使用。
