本发明涉及网络装置的管理方法，该方法使网络(NW)上作为管理对象的具有服务器功能的多个网络装置(100、200)的装置信息，通过所述网络从各所述信息机器上显示出来；并以相互链接的HTML所记述的Web网页的超文本形式，显示出各网络装置的装置信息。

Description

网络装置的管理方法
技术领域
本发明涉及可容易取得在网络上分散配置的多个信息设备(网络装置)的信息的管理技术。
背景技术
在网络打印机之类的网络装置中，有一些装置的配置目的是掌握网络装置状态信息和机能信息，配用HTTP(超文本传输协议)，具有服务器的功能。这样的网络装置可以以HTML(超文本标识语言)语言下的Web(WWW：万维网)网页的形式提供装置信息。这样，用户可通过通信网络获取有关网络装置的装置信息。
要阅读Web网页这样的信息，通常需要配备作为专用读取软件的浏览器。当今的浏览器一般都作为软件设备，可以通过有偿或无偿途径很容易地获得种种浏览器。
在阅读Web网页时，还必须根据URL(统一资源定位器)的规格指定阅览对象网络装置的识别信息。在下文中，把这个指定识别信息简称为URL。
根据具体的使用网络环境，在URL中有各种的记述方法。比如，在基于TCP/IP(传输控制协议/互联网协议)的网络中，可以利用IP地址作为URL。
但是，在依次切换多个网络装置的网页进行阅读的情况下，用户必须在主计算机上利用浏览器根据具体装置指定URL。为此，难以方便地获得多个网络装置信息。
在浏览器中，还必须具有用户能保存URL的功能。但是，如要保存各网络装置的URL，一旦把URL输入之后，就必须与各个网络装置相连接。这样，网络装置的体积就将膨大，需要用人工操作各网络装置的URL输入，从而增加了员工人数。
在主机内保存的URL只在主机与各网络装置连接的情况下才有效。因此，有的主机如果要利用保存在其它主机内的URL，则在与网络装置的连接方面将会产生诸多不便。
发明内容
本发明的目的在于，通过解决这一问题，提供一种能用简单的操作获得多个网络装置信息的技术。
为达到这个目的，本发明的网络装置管理方法可以对网络上的具有服务器功能的管理对象的多个信息机器的装置信息，通过信息机器的各个网络进行显示，以与网络相连接的其它信息机器的超文本的形式对各信息机器的装置信息进行显示。
这样，根据网络装置的连接方式，可以在一个装置信息与其它网络装置信息之间进行切换阅览。即，在从一个网络装置的装置信息切换到另一个网络装置的装置信息时，无需输入其它网络装置的URL识别信息。这样就可很容易地获得多个网络装置的信息。
由于网络装置需要进行互相连接，所以用户如果知道了一个网络装置的URL等的识别信息，便可以自动与其它网络装置进行连接。这样，用户就不必用手动的方式输入其它网络装置的URL识别信息。
如果需要变更阅读装置信息的主计算机，用户如果知道一个网络装置的URL等的识别信息，便可以很方便地阅览其它网络装置的装置信息。
本发明的网络装置管理方法，是在各信息机器启动时，或在该信息机器与网络连接时，可以向网络上的其它信息机器同时报告从网络上访问该信息机器的装置信息的识别信息，使各信息机器存储用于接收信号的识别信息，并同时显示出该信息机器的装置信息和相对于该识别信息的锁定器。
由于各网络装置可提供作为连接信息的识别信息，所以管理者就没有必要重新更改识别信息表。
由于相对识别信息的锁定器可以与装置信息一同显示，所以根据所需的与网络装置相对应的锁定器的显示，便可很容易地阅览所连接的网络装置的显示。
由于无需从用于阅览装置信息的主计算机上对各个网络装置进行个别检索，所以可减轻网络的通信量。

图1是本发明的网络装置管理方法说明图。
具体实施方式
下面参照附图，说明本发明的最佳实施方式，但是本发明不仅仅限于这些实施方式。
首先，参照图1，说明实施方式。
在该实施方式中，以具有通信网络NW上的HTTP服务器功能的二个信息机器网络装置100和200为管理对象进行说明。在网络装置100和200上，可以显示出通过网络NW的各种装置信息。
这里的网络装置是指网络打印机和扫描仪等，装置信息是指状态信息和功能信息。
与网络NW相接的网络装置100和200的装置信息以互相连接的HTML形式下的网页超文本的形式显示。用主计算机的400浏览器可以阅读这种网页。
为了能连接装置信息，网络装置100和200在启动时以及在与网络1连接时，发出与网络1相连的通知。这里，只介绍一下与网络装置100相连时的通知情况。
网络装置100在启动时及网络设置时，由URL信号发出单元111把该网络装置100的URL一同输送到网络NW上。URL是一种识别信息，包括自己的地址和其它信息，在网络上对信息机器的装置信息进行访问。
网络装置200接收一同输入的URL，把接收到的URL存储在内部数据库223内。网络装置200在网页225上把与URL对应的锁定器226与装置信息一同显示出来。锁定器226可以显示URL本身，也可以显示与URL相对的装置名称等标志。
这种一同输入的功能可以根据管理者和用户的要求被停止或重新启动。在停止该功能期间，可以根据管理者或用户的要求，对各网络装置100和200内的数据库113和223内存储的URL进行更新。
比如，可以把网络200的内部数据库223的内容移到网络100的内部数据库113内。该转移可以作为被设定了指定时刻的时间事件和网络上新介入的装置的检查启动程序自动实施。
在利用浏览器410从主计算机400上阅览网络装置200的网页225时，(阅览A)，如果用画面上的指示符规定了网页225上的锁定器226，则通过锁定器226进行连接时，可以在网络装置100的初期画面114和阅览对象之间进行切换(阅览B)。通过对网络装置100的网页115的显示，便会很容易地得到第二个网络装置3的装置信息。
在上述实施方式中，对本发明在特定条件下的构成例进行了说明，但是本发明可以做种种变更。比如，在上述的实施方式中，  虽然是以网络上的二个信息机器为管理对象的实施例进行了说明，但在本发明中，对管理对象的信息机器的数量并没有限定。
本发明适用于使在网络上分散配置的多个网络装置的信息，容易从其它的网络装置上获得的管理技术。

Claims (2)

1.一种网络装置的管理方法，其特征在于：
使网络上作为管理对象的具有服务器功能的多个信息机器的装置信息，通过所述网络从各所述信息机器上显示出来；
所述网络上的各信息机器，在该信息机器启动时或在该信息机器与网络的连接确立时，将该信息机器的装置信息中用于从网络上进行访问的识别信息，一同输送到所述网络上链接的其它信息机器上，同时保存从其它信息机器一同输送来的识别信息；
在所述网络上的各信息机器中，将与该网络上链接的其它信息机器的识别信息相对应的锁定器，以超文本形式，与该信息机器的装置信息一起显示。
2.根据权利要求1所述的网络装置的管理方法，其特征在于：
所述服务器功能采用HTTP，
所述装置信息采用以HTML书写的Web网页形式，
所述识别信息采用URL规格记述。
