Le réglage de l'inclinaison du burin s'effectue de la façon suivante On déplace axialement, par rotation, l'écrou 15 en direction de la pièce 11, soit à la main, soit au moyen d'une clé à ergot engagée dans un des trous borgnes 33 percés à cet effet dans le corps de l'écrou, ce qui desserre les bagues 17 et 20, puis on amène, par rotation de la bague 20, le repère 18 en regard de l'indication de l'angle dont on veut incli ner le burin, ce qui incline la douille 25 et le burin de cet angle ;
Threaded chisel holder The present patent relates to a threaded chisel holder comprising a rod capable of sliding in a fixing part and provided, at one of its ends, with a support on which the chisel is carried back, this support being articulated on an axis transverse to the rod so that the chisel can "be inclined with respect to a plane normal to the axis of the workpiece to be threaded, and a device for adjusting this inclination.
This chisel holder is characterized in that said support is constituted by a sleeve whose skirt has two sides engaged between a cylindrical bearing surface of the rod and an eccentric bore of a ring mounted rotatably on the latter, so that by turning this ring, the chisel is inclined, means making it possible to adjust with precision, as a function of the angular position of the ring, the angle of inclination.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an elevation view thereof.
Fig. 2 is a longitudinal section along II-II of FIG. 1.
Fig. 3 is a cross section along III-III of FIG. 2.
The chisel holder shown in the drawing, which is more specifically intended for cutting internal threads, consists of a cylindrical part of constant diameter 10 capable of sliding, without turning, in a square fastening part 11.
This sliding part comprises a rod 12 comprising a first bearing surface 13 which has, on the one hand, a thread 14 on which is screwed a serrated cylindrical nut 15 and, on the other hand, a smooth part 16 on which is adjusted and keyed a ring 17, the peripheral surface of which is provided with a mark 18.
Straddling this bearing 13 and a second bearing 19, turned to a reduced diameter, is mounted a ring 20 on the periphery of which is engraved a graduated scale 21 moving opposite the reference 18. Between an eccentric bore 22 of this ring 20 and the bearing surface 19 of the rod 12 are engaged two diametrically opposed faces 23 and 24 of the skirt of a sleeve 25; the latter is articulated on a pin 26 housed in a transverse hole of the slotted end 27 of the rod 12.
When the ring 20 is displaced angularly, the sleeve 25, on the head of which the chisel 28 is fixed by means of a screw 29 and a truncated wedge 30, tilts at the angle indicated by the reference 18 A leaf spring 31, held by a screw 32 against the face 23 of the sleeve 25, takes up the play necessarily provided between the skirt of the latter and the bore 22.
The inclination of the chisel is adjusted as follows.The nut 15 is moved axially, by rotation, in the direction of the part 11, either by hand or by means of a hook wrench engaged in a blind holes 33 drilled for this purpose in the body of the nut, which loosens the rings 17 and 20, then, by rotation of the ring 20, the reference 18 is brought opposite the indication of the angle of which we want to incline the chisel, which inclines the sleeve 25 and the chisel by this angle;
finally, the nut 15 is screwed and locked, which secures the ring 20 and the sleeve 25 in the positions corresponding to the desired inclination of the chisel relative to a plane normal to the axis of the part to be threaded.
