Un levier 40 est: monté rotativement sur un pivot vertical 39 monté à l'extrémité d'un support 38 fixe à la platine 1 (pour plus (le clarté, le levier 413 est représenté dans la fig. 4 l-ourni# (Fun angle droit autour d'un axe pa- rallèle -à la tige 35.) L'une des extrémités (le ce levier porte une cheville 41;
Device for sharpening saw teeth. The present invention relates to a positive device for sharpening saw teeth. It comprises a sharpening wheel carried by a shaft, the position of which is axially adjustable and which is actuated from a motor shaft which is parallel to it, the shaft of the wheel being carried by a part mounted so to be able to slide in a sleeve arranged so as to be able to be clamped on this part to immobilize it, this sleeve, the axis of which is perpendicular to that of the shaft of the grinding wheel, being integral with a movable frame mounted on the 'motor shaft so as to be able to rotate around the axis of this shaft, so that the grinding wheel can be brought from a rest position to a working position and vice versa,
a rotary cam controlling, in the working position of the grinding wheel, the approach and removal of the latter from the teeth of the saw by means of a roller carried by a sliding pusher on which rests, d 'on the other hand, the end of a screw carried by the movable frame, and a second rotary cam, having a re-entrant part, controlling the advance of the saw by means of a roller carried by a sliding arm with stroke adjustable and a lever cooperating with a spring, the device further comprising a saw holder in which the saw is held in the sharpening position by elastic clamping, the arrangement of the saw holder also allowing adjust the position of the saw in height.
The drawing represents, schematically and by way of example, an embodiment of the device according to the invention and a variant of detail. Fig. 1 shows a general perspective view of this embodiment; fig. 2 shows in section the detail of the mechanism making it possible to adjust the position of the grinding wheel shaft axially; fig. 3 shows the detail, in perspective, of the sliding pusher;
fig. 4 shows, partially in section, the advance mechanism of the saw; fig. 5 shows the profile of the cam controlling the approach and the distance of the grinding wheel from the teeth; fig. 6 shows the profile of the commander cam. the advance of the saw; the. fig. 7 shows the detail of the saw holder, the saw being a band saw, and FIG. 8 shows a variant of the saw holder, intended for a circular saw.
In the wire-. I, 1 denotes the. device plate, terminated, on the saw-holder side, by a vertical part? on which is mounted the saw holder itself. This plate carries a casing 3 in which there are the cam 4, controlling the movements of the mobile grinding wheel frame G, and the cam 5, controlling the advance of the saw; these cams are mounted on a shaft 7 bearing at. its extremity, on the side of the frame, a conical toothed wheel 8 meshing with another toothed wheel coni that 9 fixed on a shaft 10 parallel to the plate 1 and to. part _9 of the latter.
This = shaft carries at one of its ends a pulley 11 driven by a motor (not shown), here: at its other end another pulley 12. A belt 13 transmits the rotation of the pulley 12 to a pulley 14 mounted on the shaft 15 parallel to the shaft 10 and carrying (the grinding wheel 16.
This shaft 15 is mounted in a bearing carried by a part 17, comprising a cylindrical part 18 (fig.?), Which is housed so as to be able to slide in a solid sleeve 19 called a movable frame 6; this sleeve is; split over part of its height (in the plane of the wire. 2) on the side where there are two ears 211 which can be tightened towards each other by means of a screw 21. In this way, we can tighten the sleeve on part 18 (the part 17 and immobilize it.
Shaft 15 turns in a bearing ?? against the ends of which the collars 23 and 24 of the shaft bear. This bearing carries, in its middle part, a thread 25 on which is: screwed a nut 26 mounted in a notch of the part 17 and provided with holes 27 for its operation. By rotating this nut 26, the grinding wheel shaft 1.5 is axially displaced. A (, screw 28 makes it possible to immobilize the bearing 22.
The frame 6 is mounted by its. low (: on the motor shaft 10, so that it can turn around the axis of this one about a quarter of a turn towards the front of the figure 1 when the useless one must. work,, until contact with the end (the the screw 29 carried by the part (the of the frame G with the upper face of a cylindrical plunger 30 (fig. 3) which can slide into the wall of the housing 3 so that it cannot rotate on its axis, and the lower part of which carries a roller 31, the periphery of which rests on that of the cam 4, shown in Fig. 5, and the periphery of which is non-circular.
The profile of the cam 5 (fig. 6) has on a quarter of a turn of the cam marked by the points -1 'and B' a re-entrant part 33. This carne 5 cooperates with a roller 34 (fig. 4) mounted at one of the ends of a rod 35 which can slide without rotating in the upper part (: of a support 36 fixed on the plate 1 by its base; the other end of the rod is threaded and engaged, beyond the support 3 (i, in a nut 37 that can be operated by hand.
A lever 40 is: rotatably mounted on a vertical pivot 39 mounted at the end of a support 38 fixed to the plate 1 (for clarity, the lever 413 is shown in fig. 4 l-supplied # (Fun right angle around an axis parallel to the rod 35.) One of the ends (the lever carries a pin 41;
thanks to the pressure exerted on this part of the lever by the spiral spring 42 resting on the end of the pivot 39, one of the ends of this pin is kept in contact with the tenon 43 <B> (the </B> the rod 35, so that the rod 35 is constantly pushed, towards the cam 5.
The attractant end of the lever is shaped as a roller blade, the ridge 44 is intended to push on the sharp saw blades. By means of the nut 37, the magnitude ( reads displacement of the rod 35 when the rcnlraiile part said periphery of the cam is in front of the roller 34.
The saw holder (fig. 7) comprises a plate 45 fixed, by a bolt 47, to part 2 of the plate '1, from which it is separated by a washer 48. In the plate 45 and on the side of its, base , is screwed the end of a bolt 49 passing freely through another plate 46, and the other threaded end of which carries a nut 50 which maintains applied against a shoulder of the bolt 49 a plate 51 (fig. 1 and 7 ). This plate 51 is freely traversed by a bolt 52 screwed into the plate 46 at one of its ends and the other end of which carries a hand-operated button 53 screwed onto it.
Between the two plates 46 and 51 is a spring. flange 54 threaded onto bolt 52.
The plate 46 has bulges 55 and 56 serving as a housing for racks each actuated by means of a toothed wheel controlled by a knurled knob 57, respectively 58 (FIG. 1). These racks each carry a support 59 projecting from the interior side of the plate 45 and on which rests, in the inclination corresponding to that of its teeth, the band saw 60 resiliently clamped between the plates 45 and 46. Recesses 61 in the plate 45 serve to accommodate part of the thickness of the supports 59 when the thickness of the blade 60 requires it. The height position of the saw can be adjusted by acting on the racks using buttons 57 and 58.
In the variant of the saw holder shown in FIG. 8 and intended to carry a circular saw, a flat part 62, fixed by the bolt with nut 63 to the vertical part 2 of the plate 1 with the interposition of a washer 64, is extended towards the bottom of the device where its anterior face plane slightly exceeds the head of bolt 63. A bolt 66, passing through an elongated hole 65 of the part 62, serves as a support for the circular saw 67 which it passes through in its central hole; a washer 68 distances it slightly from the part 62.
A knurled nut 69, screwed onto the end of bolt 66, applies the saw 6 7 against the washer 68 by means of a resilient convex washer 70 and a spring 71.
The flat piece 62 can be tilted vertically in a plane parallel to the part 2 of the plate 1, which makes it possible to sharpen teeth of various shapes and, thanks to the long hole 65, to adjust the position of the saw.
The relative position of the cams 4 and 5 is such that when the roller 31 is in contact with point B of the periphery of the cam 4, the roller 34 is in contact with the point B 'of the periphery of the cam 5, the common direction of rotation of the cams being that of the arrows in these figures.
After a quarter of a turn of the cams, corresponding, for the cam 4, to the distance of the grinding wheel from the saw teeth and, for the cam 5, to the withdrawal of the knife 44 from a sharp tooth and to the thrust ahead of the next tooth, the rollers are respectively in contact with points A and <I> A ', </I> the angular distance of points <I> A, B </I> and A', B ' being 90.
'When the part of the re-entering contour 33 of the cam 5, directed from B' towards the center of the latter, passes in front of the roller 34, the lever 40 (fig. 4) tilts into the position drawn in broken lines, and its end 44, hitherto engaged in a tooth of the saw 60, comes at 44 'to engage in the following tooth, thanks to a slight elasticity of the lever 40, perpendicular to the plane of FIG. 4.
The cam 5, continuing to turn, is now the part of the re-entrant contour 33 directed towards the point A 'which passes in front of the roller 34; the rod 35, pushed back to the right in FIG. 4, returns the lever 40 to its initial position, the end 44 'of which, returning to 44, pushes the tooth of the saw 60 in which it is now engaged in front of it; the saw 60, which has slipped between the plates 45 and 46 (fig. 7), presents a new tooth to the grinding wheel.
During this time, the <I> BA </I> part of the periphery of the cam 4 (fig. 5) has passed in the direction of the arrow in front of the roller 31, and the cylinder pusher 30, moving upwards. , lifts the grinding wheel frame 6, 6 'which rests on it by the end of the adjusting screw 29, which moves the grinding wheel 16 away from the teeth. The cams continuing to rotate, the roller 34 remains immobile, while the grinding wheel goes back down until the rollers are found respectively at points <I> B </I> and <I> B '</I> and so right now.
