Gallows for driving out watch stones in their support. The present invention relates to a gallows for driving out watch stones in their support, comprising a frame provided with a cylindrical housing in which slides or turns a spindle intended to carry either a pusher, a reamer or other tool of which the work requires rotation, and means for sliding said spindle.
This bracket is characterized in that of the two members: spindle and frame, one: carries a retractable prisoner cooperating with an axial guide surface provided on the other member, with the aim that the spindle can be temporarily prevented from rotating in its housing.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, an embodiment of the position forming the subject of the invention.
lia fig. 1 is an overview of the. po tence, in side elevation, this gallows being. used with an operating lever.
Fig. '? is a horizontal section on a large scale, by 11-II of fig. 1.
Figs. 3, -1 and 5 are sections similar to FIG. 2, but relating to variant6. Fig. 6 is a partial longitudinal co: upe-elevation following the symmetry wound of the gallows according to FIG. 1, but used with a manceuvre head.
Fig. 7 is an axial section, on a large scale, by VII-VII of FIG. 6.
1 denotes the man.noeuvre lever intended to transmit an axial pressure on the contact head 2 of the spindle 3 to drive out the stones, which slides in a cylindrical bore 4 of the frame. The spindle 3 is returned to the upper position by a spring 5 bearing on the bottom 6 of a threaded housing 7 and against a collar 8. The contact head? East. removable and screwed to the upper end of the spindle.
At its lower end, the pin 3 carries an interchangeable pusher 9 having an annular groove 10 to facilitate its installation and. good removal of the spindle by means of tweezers, not shown, the tips of which engage in the groove 10.
Over most of the. height of its cylindrical surface, the pin 3 has an axial groove 11 in which .est. : engaged by tiellement. a stud 12 under the action of a res out 13 resting on the bottom of a hollow button 14, screwed into the frame, said captive stud being guided in the button 14.
By partially unscrewing the button 14, the action of the spring 13 and can be canceled. turn off stud 1? when the. spindle 3 carries a tool, such as a reamer, whose work requires a rotation: in the hole -1.
In the variant embodiment shown in FIG. 3, the pin 3 simply has a longitudinal flat 50 serving as a guide surface in cooperation with a flat-bottomed piston 51, sliding in a slot. 52 of. frame and biased towards the spindle 3 by a spring.
53 resting against the inner end of a plug screw 51-. By partially unscrewing the screw 54, the action of the spring 53 is weakened and the piston 51 is automatically pushed back by the spindle when it turns with a tool whose work. requires rotation in the. borehole 4.
We have. shown in FIG. 4, a ball 56 partially engaged, under the action of a spring 57, in an axial groove in the form of an orthogonal dihedron. 58 of the spindle 3. The tension of the spring 57 is adjustable by means of a screw 59 closing off the housing 60 of the ball, provided in the frame. The retraction of the ball, in case of use of a rotary tool, is carried out like that of the piston previously described.
Finally, according to fig. 5, pin 3 is present as in the case of FIG. 4, an axial groove 58 in the form of an orthogonal dihedron. It is a conical-bottom piston 61 which is in ga0é in the groove 58 under the action of a spring 62 bearing against a sealing screw 63 of the housing. 64 which receives the udder and the spring.
Referring to fig. 6 and 7, we see. that the threaded housing 7 receives a micrometric tubular screw 15 drilled with a hole 16 with a threaded part 1.7, this screw 15 being coaxial with the hole 4 of the frame. In the tapped part 17 est. screwed a head of my work 18 with a knurled edge 19 of the same diameter as the rim, also knurled, 20, of the micrometric screw 15, which peels, on a conical part 21, a graduation L.
As seen in fig. 7, the graduation L cooperates with two indexes 22, 23 diametrically opposed, each formed on the oblique end of a finger 24, respectively. 25, sliding in a blind hole 26, respec tively 27. A spring 28 maintains each finger 24, 25 applied against the lower edge 30 of the tapered leg 21.
An adjusting screw 31 axially passes through the bottom 32 of the. manceuvre head 18 and serves there. stopper for spindle 3.
Referring to fig. 1 and 6, we see. that a locking screw 34 with an externally movable head can penetrate more or less into a threaded hole 35 in the frame, where this screw pushes against the thread of the micrometric screw 15 a deformable pad 36. The table 37 of the gallows can carry, centered in the cylindrical housing 38, an anvil 39, removable,
with a strictly flat upper surface.
The jib crane described above enables the movement to be effected. clock stones, from a half to a hundredth, for example, provided that the contact head 2 has been unscrewed from the spindle and replaced by the operating head 18, which is screwed fully into the . micrometric screw 15 previously blocked, quée in its housing. 7 by means of the locking screw 34. By rotating the operating head 18, after unlocking the screw 34, the product is produced. @the desired displacement.
It is also possible to use the bracket as a micrometer, after having mounted a micrometric stop 40 at the lower end of the spindle 3 and, the special anvil 39 on the table. He. then simply operate the simultaneous adjustment of the. micrometric screw 15 and pin 3 to. zero, corresponding to the simple contact of the stop 40 and the anvil, which is achieved by acting on the adjustment screw 31 with very fine pitch.
The axial stop which the inner end of this screw 31 constitutes for the spindle is therefore adjustable with high precision. This adjustment is made once and for all and,; -râ: this with a very fine pitch,] 'wear can be caught up instantly. The L graduation of the. micrometer screw goes. increasing in the direction of unscrewing this member in the threaded housing 7, so that the indications are. correct when the stem is used as a vertical micrometer.
