Shock-absorbing bearing for a small mechanical mobile, in particular a measuring device The present invention relates to a shock-absorbing bearing for a small mechanical mobile, in particular a measuring device.
This bearing is characterized by a movable bearing body, comprising a slider, housed with clearance inside a bearing support, the latter having an annular centering seat with which cooperates, under the action of a device. elastic return, a corresponding scope of the bearing body, located in the immediate vicinity of the entry of the cra paudine.
The drawing represents, by way of example, four embodiments of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of a first embodiment of a shock-absorbing bearing for small mechanical mobile.
Fig. 2 is a similar section of a second embodiment.
Fig. 3 is a similar section through part of a third embodiment.
Fig. 4 is a plan view; and fig. 5 is an axial section of part of a fourth embodiment.
The bearing shown in fig. 1 comprises a support consisting of a sleeve 1, a plug 2, forced into this sleeve at its pos terior end, and a plug 3, pierced with a central hole, forced into the sleeve at its anterior end. This sleeve is intended to be forced into the frame of the device on which the bearing is mounted. The conical end of the shaft designated by 4, is engaged in the conical recess of a stone plunger 5. The latter is driven into a bush 6 housed with play in the sleeve 1. The clamp 5 and the bush 6 constitute a movable bearing body subjected to the action of a shock-absorbing coil spring 7.
The latter is supported, on the one hand, against the stopper 2 and, on the other hand, against the sleeve 6; it tends to maintain a frustoconical bearing surface 8 presented by the sleeve 6, at the level of the entrance to the hollow of the cradle, against a seat 9 formed by an annular ridge of a shoulder of the plug 3. When low pressure transverse placements of the shaft 4, due to impacts, the bearing body moves laterally and returns, under the action of the spring 7, automatically to the centered position thanks to the surface 8 cooperating with the seat 9.
The sleeve 6 has, in its center and at its rear end, a stud 6a engaged in a blind hole 10 of the plug 2. The large base of the truncated cone 6a is located at the end of the stud , which allows the latter to tilt in all directions while remaining in the hole 10. Thanks to this arrangement, the bearing body is thus articulated on the support so as to be able to tilt in all directions, while being able to move axially. This articulation controls the tilting movement of the bearing body during impacts such that the frustoconical surface 8 separates from the seat 9.
In the embodiment of FIG. 2, the bearing body also comprises a slider 11 housed in a frame formed of a sleeve 12. The centering of the bearing body is ensured, at its anterior end, by a frustoconical seat 13 which has a plug 14 fixed to the anterior end of a sleeve 15. An end edge 16 of the sleeve chon 12, slightly chamfered, cooperates with the seat 13. A coil spring 17 bears on the sleeve 12, on the one hand, and on a plug 18 , on the other hand, driven into the sleeve 15.
The stopper 18 is provided with a central stud 18a, engaged in the sleeve 12, and having an annular projection 18b. Thanks to this arrangement, as in the previous embodiment, the bearing body can both move axially and tilt in all directions.
In the embodiment of FIGS. 3 and 4, as in that of FIG. 5, only the articulation of the posterior part of the bearing body has been shown; at its front end, the bearing body is centered by a conical surface cooperating with an annular ridge, in an arrangement similar to that of the first or of the second embodiment.
In fig. 3 and 4, the sleeve 19 of the bearing support has, near its rear end, an inner groove 20 in which are engaged outer lugs 21a of an annular spring 21. An inlet 22 (FIG. 4) allows the introduction. ears 21a in the groove 20. The spring 21 has three radial arms 21b extending towards the center, and ending in a ring 21c, which is fixed, by riveting at 23a, to a sleeve 23, similar to the sleeve 6 of the first embodiment, in which the slider is mounted, not shown.
This assembly of the sleeve 23 to the bearing bracket allows the sleeve to both move axially and to tilt in all directions. The spring 21 constitutes, in this embodiment, the equivalent of the spring 7 of the first embodiment and serves as a shock absorber.
Finally, the embodiment of FIG. 5 differs from that of FIGS. 3 and 4 by the fact that a spring 24, similar to the spring 21, fixed to the end of a sleeve 25 carrying the slider, is held in place in a sleeve 26, constituting the bearing body, by a plug 27 driven into the posterior end of this sleeve.
It should be noted that, in general, the frustoconical centering surface located at the front end of the bearing could be replaced by a different surface of revolution, convex for example.
