Bearing for a small mechanical mobile, in particular a measuring device The present invention relates to a bearing for a small mechanical mobile, in particular a measuring device.
This bearing is characterized by the fact that it comprises a slider housed with clearance inside a frame and intended to receive the end, conical, of the shaft of said mobile, this bearing slider, fixed externally on its lateral face, a ring part of which constitutes a resting span,
under the action of an elastic return device acting at least indirectly on said slider, on a seat that has said frame so as to ensure the return to the centered position of the slider when it is subsequently moved shock to the tree.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
The figure is an axial section of a bearing for a small mechanical mobile.
This bearing comprises a frame 1, in the form of a cylindrical sleeve, intended to be driven into the frame of the apparatus in which the bearing is mounted. This sleeve is closed, at one of its ends, by a screwed cap 2 and carries, at its other end, a driven sleeve 3.
The latter is pierced with a central hole for the passage of the pivot of the shaft 4 of the mobile, not shown.
The end of this conical pivot, designated by 4a, is engaged in the central hole of a block 5, made of stone, housed with play in the frame. This slider has a flat annular surface 6 resting on a corresponding flat surface 7 of the socket 3.
These two surfaces are kept in contact by a coil spring 8 bearing, on the one hand, on the plug 2 and, on the other hand, on the slider 5, by means of a pellet @de thrust 9 .
Finally, the lateral face of the catch 5 has an annular groove 10, of semi-circular section, in which is partially engaged an open ring 11, of circular section. This ring rests, also under the action of the return spring 8, on a seat formed by an annular edge 12, slightly chamfered, of the sleeve 3.
When the shaft 4 is subjected to shocks, the slider moves inside the bearing frame, against the action of the spring 8.
The latter returns it to a centered position thanks to the cooperation of the bearing surface formed by the ring 11 with the seat 12, on the one hand, and of the surfaces 6 and 7, on the other hand. At the end of the stroke, during the radial displacements of the shaft 4, its part 4b abuts against the edge of the central hole of the sleeve 3, while, during the axial displacements,
it is the shoulder 4c of the shaft 4 which abuts against the sleeve.
As a variant, the cross section of the centering ring 11, like also that of the groove of the catch in which this ring is partially housed, may be different. However, it is important that the part of the ring constituting the bearing surface in contact with the seat of the frame is of such a rounded shape,
frustoconical, etc. - that this ring moves easily on the seat. -The latter may also be different from the edge 12 described and shown and may, for example, be frustoconical.
The ring 11 may also be formed by the last turn of the spring 8. In this case, the pellet 9 will be removed and the last turn of the spring separated from the rest of the turns by a section of different inclination, formed by a distended coil.
The last turn playing the role of a centering ring will be partially housed in an annular groove of the slider. Finally, the centering nose can not be opened, but closed and be adjusted around the crapaudine which will then not present a groove and will rest against an external bearing of the crapaudine.
