Shock-absorbing bearing, in particular for a measuring device axis The present invention relates to a shock-absorbing bearing, in particular for a measuring device axis and which comprises a slider arranged in a housing of circular section and subjected to the action of an elastic return device and in which an annular space is formed between the peripheral surface of the slider and the walls of the housing,
the return device tending to apply the front face of this slider on an annular bearing face forming one of the end walls of the housing, these two faces having corresponding diameters, so that, under the action of a radial impact, the crapaudine tilts on itself around any point on the periphery of its front face, then under the action of the return device, automatically returns to its centered rest position.
This bearing is characterized by the fact that the housing has a conical end which widens out from the annular bearing face, while the slider is cylindrical, in order to allow the latter to tilt on itself against the action of the elastic device under the effect of a radial shock.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of a bearing in the rest position, and FIG. 2 is an axial section of this bearing during a radial impact.
The illustrated bearing comprises a tubular support 18 intended to be fixed in the frame of a measuring apparatus, for example. A slider 19 is arranged in an interior housing of the support 18. This slider is formed by a cylindrical stone in the front face of which is formed a conical recess 20 intended to receive the conical end 21a of a shaft 21.
The slider 19 is subjected to the action of a return spring 22 bearing, on the one hand, on the support 18 by means of a plug 23 and, on the other hand, on the rear face of the crapaudine via a washer 24. The internal housing of the support 18 comprises a cylindrical part 25 and a frustoconical part 26.
This frustoconical part is located at the end of the housing having a bearing face 27 on which comes to bear, under the action of the spring 22, the front face of the slider. The diameter of the washer 24 corresponds to the bore of the part 25 of the housing, so that this washer, on which the slider rests, is guided when it moves axially under the effect of an axial shock:
that the shaft 21 undergoes, against the action of the spring 22. In addition, thanks to the annular space formed between the frame and the slider, the latter can tilt on itself, around any point on the periphery of its front face against the action of the spring 22, when the shaft 21 is subjected to a radial impact, as is the case, for example, in FIG. 2 where the tree has been moved slightly to the left of the figure,
according to the arrow 27. When -de its return to the rest position (fig. 1) the slider, biased by the spring 22, cooperates with the -tronconic wall of the part 26 of the housing, so that the centering of this position rest is automatically ensured.
The invention is not limited to the embodiment described and shown. Thus, for example, the part 26 of the housing of the frame 18 for-

would not be frustoconical, but be formed of a spherical cap. Any other flared shape of the housing, ensuring the return of the slider in its centered rest position, can also be provided.
