Device for pivoting an oscillating mass The present invention relates to a device for pivoting an oscillating mass in a self-winding watch movement, comprising a central pivot bearing a rolling bearing on which said mass is pivoted, said tenon being removably attached to a bridge of the movement.
Devices of this type are already known. The rolling bearings used in these devices generally comprise an outer race which is integral with the mass and an internal race which is fixed. In most of the cases,
the inner raceway is formed by two coaxial rings and the bearing balls are held in place and guided between these two rings and the outer raceway.
In some known ball pivot devices, the rings of the inner race are engaged on a tenon which protrudes above a bridge of the movement. This tenon is integral with this bridge or forms a separate piece with a wide base, screwed to this bridge. The rings are held in place by a central screw, engaged in the tenon and accessible from the top.
This arrangement has a great drawback. In fact, to separate the oscillating weight from the movement, the screw which holds the bearing in place is removed. The two rings which form the inner race can then separate from each other so that the bearing is completely dismantled. Even in the case where these two rings can be released together without separating, this operation can disturb the bearing.
In fact, we know that the adjustment of the clearances in a rolling bearing must be carried out in an extremely precise manner and represents a very delicate operation. It is often sufficient to vary the clamping forces of the bearing to a relatively small extent for the clearances to change significantly.
Ball pivot devices, in which it is necessary to remove the inner raceway or even simply to extract this raceway from its support, to separate the oscillating weight from the movement, therefore do not allow the clearances to be adjusted. easily and once and for all,
so that the operating characteristics of the oscillating weight may vary during each disassembly.
On the other hand, plain bearing oscillating weight pivoting devices are known in which a removable central tenon fixed to a movement bridge has a journal bearing surface on which a sleeve of the oscillating weight is engaged.
The removable tenon being generally fixed by a lock located under the bridge, it is necessary to disassemble the bearing to extract the oscillating weight alone, but this operation does not present at all the same drawbacks as in the case of a rolling bearing.
The object of the present invention is to create an oscillating mass pivoting device, of the type mentioned, which makes it possible to assemble and disassemble the mass without touching the rolling bearing and therefore without the adjustment of the clearances. this level risks being modified during one of these operations.
For this, in the device according to the invention, the bridge and the tenon have corresponding fastening elements integral with the tenon and the bridge respectively and capable of being engaged in one another; furthermore, the tenon has a drive element accessible from outside the

vement and allowing to-actuate the tenon to release or engage said fasteners.
One embodiment of the device according to the invention is shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing, of which FIG. 1 is a partial axial section of a watch movement provided with said device.
Fig. 2, a plan view, from below, of part of said movement, and FIG. 3, a top plan view of an element of said device.
The movement shown in the drawing comprises an oscillating mass 1 in an opening from which is driven a pinion 2 of annular shape. The mass 1 and the pinion 2 are carried by a rolling bearing formed of an outer ring 3, balls 4, a cage 5 and two inner rings 6 and 7. The ring 7 has a barrel 8 on which the ring 6 is engaged and a frustoconical face 9 which with a corresponding frustoconical face 10 of the ring 6 forms the inner raceway of the balls 4.
The device described further comprises a tenon 11 having a cylindrical surface 12 limited downwards by a plane annular shoulder 13. The tenon 11 is driven, by its bearing 12, into the barrel 8, the dimensions of which are such that the ring 6 bears. against the shoulder 13, which ensures the pivoting of the oscillating weight 1 on the tenon 11.
The latter is fixed on a bridge 14 of the movement which can be, for example, the gear bridge, above an opening 15 of this bridge, in which is engaged a stone 16 intended to pivot a second mobile.
The bridge 14 has, in its upper face, a drop 17 coaxial with the stone 16, in which is formed a cylindrical housing 18, intended to receive the lower part of the tenon 11. Two grooves 19, in an arc of a circle, diametrically opposed, are formed in the lateral face of the housing 18. Two lateral ears 20, diametrically opposed, which the tenon 11 still has at its lower part, can be introduced into the grooves 19 by axial passages 21 whose contour follows that of the ears 20.
A slot 22 made in the upper face of the tenon 11 makes it possible to fix the latter in the housing 18. For this, it suffices, after having introduced the ears 20 in the passages 21 and bringing the lower part of the tenon 11 against the bottom of the housing 18, to rotate this tenon around its axis by means of a screwdriver inserted into the slot 22, so as to engage the ears 20 under the upper edge of the grooves 19.
The upper face of the ears 20 being bevelled, their thickest part rests against said upper edge and presses the tenon 11 against the bottom of the housing 18, fixing it rigidly to the bridge 14.
The slot 22 of the tenon 11 being accessible from the top, the oscillating weight 1 can be easily dismantled without the different parts of the bearing (3-7) separating from each other.
