Device for fixing a watch movement in a case The present invention relates to a device for fixing a watch movement in a case, characterized by at least two feet each comprising a rod fixed to a part of the movement, to the periphery of the latter, a hollow body enclosing an elastic member, and a pusher placed under the action of this member so as to be elastically pushed against the bottom of the box.
The drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention and a variant of detail.
Fig. 1 is a perspective view of a watch the back of which is open to reveal the nested movement with its fixing device; fig. 2 is a partial section, on an enlarged scale, along line 11-I1 of FIG. 1; fig. 3 is a section on an even larger scale of a fixing foot; and fig. 4 is a sectional view of an alternative embodiment of a fixing foot.
In the drawing, 1 designates the middle part of a round watch case into which is screwed a back 2. A movement 3, schematically represented, is fitted into the middle part 1 and rests by its plate on a shoulder of the middle part, on the side. ice. In a bridge or a plate 5 of the movement, on the back side of the case, are formed at two diametrically opposed points and at the periphery of the movement two threaded holes in which two fixing feet 4 are fixed.
Each fixing foot consists of a hollow body 6 made from a single neck-cut piece with a threaded rod 7, a plunger 8 also hollow, capable of sliding in the hollow body 6, and a coil spring 9 housed in the hollow body 6 and in the hollow plunger 8 and resting, on the one hand, on the bottom of the body recess 6 and, on the other hand, on the bottom of the recess of the pusher 8, that it tends to press against the back 2 of the case when this back is screwed onto the caseband. The stroke of the pusher 8 towards the bottom of the box is limited by crimping 10 of the edge of the hollow body 6, and by a bearing surface 11 of the pusher 8.
The spring 9 is fully enclosed; the fixing feet can be delivered ready to be screwed by their threaded rod 7 into tapped holes provided for this purpose or constituting the usual locations for the fixing key screws. The movement is thus fixed elastically in its case when the back 2 is in place.
It is possible to have more than two fixing feet and, depending on the shape of the blank, to arrange the fixing holes in a bridge or in a plate suitably chosen in each particular case.

It goes without saying that the feet can be fixed by other means than by a threaded rod, in particular by a non-threaded, cylindrical or conical rod engaged in a blind hole or in a hole passing through a bridge or a plate; the rod can be riveted if necessary.
The feet can, depending on the case, be fixed in an enlarging circle by the aforementioned means or else be placed in the usual locations for the screws of the fixing keys, with a part of the base of the hollow body 6 resting on the upper edge. of the magnifying circle. In addition, the coil spring 9 could be replaced by a block or a tubular piece of elastic material.
Fig. 4 shows an alternative embodiment of the fixing feet in which the hollow pusher 18 slides on the hollow body 16. The stroke of the pusher 18 towards the bottom of the box is limited by crimping 20 of the edge of the pusher 18 and by a bearing surface 21 of the hollow body 16. The coil spring 9 and the threaded rod 7 are unchanged.
