Device for fixing a watch movement in a box The present invention relates to a device for fixing a watch movement in a box, characterized by at least two pushers each housed in a hole made directly in one of the nested parts. and resting, under the action of elastic devices housed in said holes, against the bottom of the box.
The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device which is the subject of the invention and a variant of detail.
Fig. I is a perspective view of a watch, the back of which is open to reveal a nested movement with its fixing device.
Fig. 2 is a partial section, on an enlarged scale, through the axis of one of the pushers.
Fig. 3 is a partial section, on an enlarged scale, of an alternative embodiment.
In the drawing, 1 denotes the middle part of a round watch case into which a case back is screwed 2. A movement 3 shown schematically is fitted into the case part 1 by means of a casing ring 4 which is integral with it. In the casing circle 4, on the side of the bottom of the box, are made in two diametrically opposed points two blind holes 5 (fig. 2), in each of which is housed a coil spring 6 resting on the one hand on the bottom of the hole 5 and on the other hand on the head 7 of a pusher 8 which it tends to press against the bottom 2 of the case when this bottom is screwed into the caseband. The stroke of the pusher 8 towards the bottom of the box is limited by a crimping 9 of the edge of the hole 5 on the surface formed by the head 7 of the pusher.
The two pushers 8 act in the same way and with equal force and the movement 3 is thus resiliently fixed in the box when the base 2 is in place.
In the variant of FIG. 3, two holes 10 are drilled in the casing circle 4 from the side of the dial and pass right through said circle. A plug 11, driven out or screwed, closes the hole on the side of the dial and forms the bottom on which the coil spring 6 rests. On the side of the case back, the hole 10 has a small diameter sufficient to allow passage. the push rod 8 but not the head 7. You could also drill a hole of uniform diameter and hold the head 7

of the pusher by a crimping as in the embodiment of FIG. 2.
It is of course possible to provide more than two pushers and, depending on the shape of the blank and the casing method, make the holes for the pushers in a bridge or in the plate.
The pusher can be formed, as shown, by a solid rod, or by a hollow rod, at least in its head, so as to form a guide for the spring.
The pusher retaining crimp can be replaced with a plug driven out or screwed into the hole.
The enlarged head of the pusher could be formed by a ferrule screwed onto a thread of the rod, which would allow the height of the part of the rod which protrudes the edge of the hole to be adjusted.
The coil springs 6 could be replaced by blocks or tubular pieces of elastic material.
