Dans ;les trois formes d'exécution, on dis tingue l'axe @de balancier 4 avec son court tigeron 5 et un pivot 6.; le coussinet 7, dans le trou duquel est ajusté, avec un peu -d'ébat, l'extrémité ,du pivot 6;
La fi-. 3- montre une variante de la forme d'exécution représentée en fig. 2'. Cette va riante présente cette particularité construc- tive que le contre-pivot 13 est logé librement et guidé dans le porte-coussinet annulaire 8;
Shock-absorbing bearing for the balance shaft of timepieces. The subject of the invention is a shock absorber bearing for the balance axis of timepieces, for example for the balance axis of a watch movement.
This bearing is of the type of those which include a bearing, in a hole of which is fitted the end of a pivot of the balance axis, which axis passes, with radial play, through an opening of a bearing body, for example a shell, said bearing being placed in an annular bearing holder housed freely, with radial play,
in a cylindrical recess of said bearing body and being subjected to the constant-action of at least one damper spring acting axially on the bearing holder, via a counter-pivot.
The invention mainly relates to the arrangement of the bearing holder in the bearing housing, which arrangement offers the particularity that these two elements cooperate with each other by a circular fit with conical surfaces and coaxial with each other. axis, of ba lancer, so that the bearing is always maintained or brought back to its centered position of rest,
by the action of the damping spring (s) on the counterpivot, and reacts elastically against any direct or oblique force due to shocks.
The attached drawing shows, by way of example, three embodiments of a front bearing (bridge side) of a balance shaft for watch movements. Each of the three figures is an axial section of one of these embodiments.
In the three embodiments, we distinguish the balance axis 4 with its short shank 5 and a pivot 6 .; the bearing 7, in the hole of which is adjusted, with a little -d'bat, the end of the pivot 6;
the annular bearing holder 8, in which the bearing 7 is driven and which is arranged in the bottom of a cylindrical recess 9 of a cylindrical bearing body 10; and the plate 11 of the rooster which is an element of the frame of the watch movement, said bearing body being driven into a round opening of the plate 11 and presenting a central opening 12 giving passage to the pivot pin 5, 6 of the balance axis 4.
The bore of the cylindrical opening 12 is larger than the diameter of the shank 5, so that the latter has a certain radial play in said opening, the pa king of which serves as a stopper for the shank.
The axle 4 also has a certain axial play between the bearing body 10 and a bearing of the axle. A short distance from the end of the pivot. 6 is disposed a movable counterpivot 1.3 which rests, by its flat base, on the cou @ ssinet 8; a flat damper spring 14 acts axially on the top of the convex part of this counterpivot to hold the latter in place, as does the bearing 8.
With reference to the. first embodiment (fig. 1), it can be seen that the bearing body 1.0 is formed by a washer surmounted by a fixed ring 15 fitted into the round opening serving as an adjustment to said washer in plate 11.
This ring 1a, by an internal bevelled edge, protrudes into the recess 9 of the bearing body 10, recess in which the bearing holder 8 is arranged, so that it can be seen moving horizontally therein, vertically and obliquely, in limited space.
by the cylindrical wall of the recess and by the bevelled edge of the ring 15, the bearing holder comprising a bevel opposite to that of this ring. However, the bearing holder is engaged, by a corresponding groove, on a projecting circular fit 1.0 'with conical fitting surfaces of the bearing body 10. These conical fitting surfaces are coaxial with the axis 4. of the balance.
The counterpivot 13 is housed and guided in a round opening 17 of a plate or a cockerel 18 fixed on the plate 11 of the cock.
The plate 18 has, below, a recess 19 giving the bearing 8 the axial play necessary for its operation.
During an axial force due to an impact transmitted to the axis 4 of the balance or to one of its bearings, because it is understood that each pivot of this axis is mounted in a shock-absorbing bearing, the counterpivot 13 reacts elastically along the axis of the pivot, cushioning. shock and absorbs it. It is the same when the impact occurs in a radical or oblique direction and tends to move the bearing holder 8 in its housing 9.
But, in this occurrence, the counterpivot 13 reacts axially on the pad holder 8, which is raised or tends to rise from its seat 10 'with conical adjustment surfaces, to bring it back to its normal position, that is, i.e. in its centered position of rest, or to maintain it in this position, thus damping and absorbing the radial shock, if possible before the rod 5 of the axis 4 abuts against the wall of the central opening 12 of the bearing carrier 10.
However, in the event that this shank were to come into contact with said wall, the resulting impact would have no detrimental effect on the pivot 6, given that at this moment the primary impact is already cushioned by the elastic reaction of the counterpivot 13.
The embodiment according to FIG. 2 differs only in construction details from that which has just been described. Here, the bearing carrier 10 is formed by a cockerel driven into the board 11 of the cock. On a dovetail adjustment of this cockerel is adapted the racket by its serge 20.
In the recess 9 of the cockle 10 are -disposed the cushion holder 8 and the counterpivot 1 3 , the latter being driven into an annular kitten 2'1 taking support, as well as the counterpivot , on the pad holder. The damper spring 14 acts on the top of the domed part of the counterpivot.
The bearing pad 8 is engaged, by a projecting circular fit 8 ', with conical surfaces, in a corresponding groove made in the bottom of the recess 9 of the shell 10. The transverse profile of this groove has the shape of a V, the conical adjustment surfaces being coaxial with the axis of the balance.
The fi-. 3- shows a variant of the embodiment shown in FIG. 2 '. This variant has the structural feature that the counter-pivot 13 is housed freely and guided in the annular pad holder 8;
it is disposed above the -coussain 7 and bears, by its flat base, on an interior por tée 22 of the pad holder. The latter is disposed in the recess 91 of the shell constituting the bearing body 10 and it is engaged in the bottom of the shell, on an adjustment identical to that shown in FIG. 2.
Subjected to the action of the shock-absorber spring 14, by means of the counter-pivot 13, this bearing support functions like those shown in FIGS. 1 and 2.
The bearing according to the invention could include more than one shock absorber spring and this or these springs could have other shapes; Likewise, the pad and the counterpivot could be made either of precious stone (natural or artificial) or of very hard metal.
The cross-sectional profile of the circular fit of the pad holder, instead. Of having the shape of a V, could have another shape, for example trapezoidal, provided that the adjustment surfaces are conical and coaxial with the balance axis.
