Description

Double bearing for the moving mass of a self-winding watch. It is known to suspend the moving mass of a self-winding watch by means of two coaxial bearings, mounted on the mass and rotating around a pivot. fixed, integral with an element, the frame of the movement.

There is thus, superimposed, a lower bearing, either closest to the movement, and an upper bearing, or the furthest from the movement. These double bearings are generally in ruby and. have the drawback of forming a whole. cannot be dismantled, making it difficult to properly clean the space comprised between the two bearings, respectively the replacement of an element of one of them, for example a ruby.

The double bearing according to the present invention overcomes this drawback by the fact that each of the individual bearings which constitute it. is integral with an independent part and. that these two parts are assembled by removable inoy ens.

One can, in particular, and as it goes. emerge from the example described below, fix the outer bearing in the actual mass and the inner bearing on a member that screws connect to said mass so as to allow easy and instant disassembly.

The fi-. 1 of the accompanying drawing illustrates this example by a diametrical section of the double bearing, including the. fig. 2 shows a cross section taken at right angles. of the first.

Mass 1, partially. represented, eNt. machined (the such, so that the hole 2 and the drop 3 ending and projecting from its inner edge are perfectly coaxial. Near the upper edge of this hole is driven out a ruby 4 constituting the upper bearing of the considered double bearing.

The second, lower bearing consists of the ruby 5, driven into the hole 6 of a member 7, the hole whose edge fits exactly on the drop 3 when said member is applied against the underside of the mass. . For this purpose, the ruby 5 occupies practically only half of the thickness of the organ 7.

Rubies 4 and 5 are thus exactly coaxial, which enables them to ensure the. Perfect rotation of the mass around the central pivot 8, fixed to a not shown element of the frame of the movement. .

To ensure a stable position for the member 7, in addition to the aforementioned centering, it is still connected to the mass 1 by two feet 9 and by two assembly screws 10. It is therefore easy to separate the member 7 of the mass and to access the space between the two rubies 1 and 5, that is to say between the upper bearing and the lower bearing of the double bearing through which the mass 1 is suspended to the fixed pivot 8.

The section of the, fig. 2 shows how. or gane 7 serves as a support for a latch 11 assuring in known manner the axial fixing of the mass on its pivot.

The member 7 will preferably be the transmission member by which the mass transmits its movements to elements causing the re-assembly of the barrel spring. In the example shown, the member 7 is a cam acting by its edge on a lever by the intermediary of a roller 12 carried by this lever. The member 7 could also be a toothed wheel driving other moving parts with a view to re-assembly.
