Cette dernière est caractérisée par une plaque présentant, sur une de ses faces, un -évidement, et par un support, auquel sont fixés le mouvement et le cadran, ce support étant porté par une sphère montée, dans un logement adjacent à l'évidement, de façon à pouvoir tourner en tous sens, un dispositif élastique agissant sur la sphère, de façon à freiner ce mouvement.

Dans la forme d'exécution des fig. 1 à 6, 1 est une plaque, de forme générale triangu laire, présentant, sur l'une de ses faces, un évidement circulaire 2; au bord de celui-ci est pratiqué un logement 3, dans lequel est engagée une sphère 4, à laquelle est fixé, par l'intermédiaire d'une tige 5, un support 6 en forme de boite cylindrique, renfermant le mouvement 7 et le cadran 8, protégé par une glace 9.
Le logement 3 est partiellement fermé, à sa partie supérieure, par une plaque 10 (voir fig. 3), fixée par des vis 11 à la plaque 1. La sphère 4 est pressée contre la plaque 10 par un piston 12 (fig. 4), au-dessous duquel est disposée une rondelle Grower 13 (fig. 5).
La fig. 1 montre la boite 6, entièrement rabattue dans le logement 2, le cadran vers l'extérieur, ce qui permet de lire l'heure.
