Shock-absorbing device for watch balance pivots. The present invention relates to a positive shock absorber device for watch balance pivots, comprising a bearing body resting freely on the bottom of a housing -of larger diameter of the bearing support and carrying a drilled part, character ized by a counter-pivot part which is, on the one hand, freely engaged by its base dians @ a circular recess of the bearing body in which the drilled part is fixed and, on the other hand,
fixed at the inner end of a return spring having an arcuate part and capable of absorbing axial and radial shocks and of re-centering the bearing after the shocks, and fixed to the support, all so that, during an axial impact, the pierced part integral with the bearing body follows the counter-pivot part integral with the spring by an effect of capillarity of the oil between the two parts and that, during a radial impact, the body bearing causes the.
counter-pivot part against the radial action of spring return.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the device forming the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a section through the axis of the balance and. fig. 2 a plan view from the side of the rooster. In the drawing, 1 designates the board of the cock having an annular groove 2 bordering a rib 3 serving as the cock on which the racket 5 is rotatably mounted.
In the board of the rooster, in the center of the part forming the cockerel 3, there is provided a circular housing 6 in the flat bottom _ 7 of which a hole 8 is drilled for the passage of the upper pivot 9 of the axis of the balance. On the flat bottom 7 of the housing 6 freely rests a bearing body 10 formed of a lique metal link in which is driven a pierced part 11. The diameter of the housing 6 being larger than the outside diameter of the bearing body 10, the latter can move freely in all directions during a radial or axial impact of the pivot.
In the outer face of the bearing body 10 is formed a circular recess 12 in which engages and freely rests the base of a counter-pivot part 13; this counter-pivot part 13 is, on the other hand, driven in part, by its outer part, into an eye 14 which the inner end of a spring having a circular arc part 15 has.
The outer end of the spring 15 has a radial extension 16, the end of which is widened at 17 and serves to fix the spring on the board of the cock 1 using the screw 18 and two orientation feet. 19 engaging holes in the cock's board. The spring 15 can, by virtue of its shape and its radial extension 16, act on the counter-pivot part 13 in all directions, both axially and radially.
During an axial impact, the upper pivot 9 of the axis of the balance raises the counter-pivot piece 13 integral with the spring '15; by the effect of the capillarity of the oil between the lower surface of the part 13 and the upper surface of the drilled part 11, the latter follows, with the bearing body 10 in which it is driven, the displacement of part 13, so that the oil cannot escape, although part 13 is not attached to the bearing housing.
During a radial impact, it is the pierced part 11 integral with the bearing body 10 which causes its radial displacement 1a. counter-pivot piece 13, the base of which is freely engaged in the recess 12 of the bearing body. The. radial shocks, such as axial shocks, are therefore absorbed by the res out 15 which then .recentre -l'l'l'aire bearing.
The construction described allows the use of drilled parts and counter-pivot parts of diameter. normal. The assembly and disassembly of the parts is very simple: it suffices to tighten or unscrew the screw 18. The -centring of the spring 15 is ensured by. the feet 19 cooperating with the orientation holes pr on the board of the rooster.
A similar device is provided for the pivoting of the lower pivot 20 of the axis of the balance; the housing 6 for the bearing is provided in the plate 4 instead of the cock board 1.
more housing. large diameter, of the bearing support and carrying a drilled part, characterized by a counter-pivot part which is, on the one hand, freely engaged by its base in a circular recess of the bearing body in which the drilled part is fixed and , on the other hand, fixed at the inner end of a return spring having an arcuate part and capable of absorbing axial and radial shocks and of refocusing the bearing after the shocks,
and fixed to the support, the whole so that, during an axial impact, the solid pierced part of the bearing body follows the counter-pivot part secured to the spring by a capillary effect of the oil between the aforementioned two parts and that, during a radial impact, the bearing body drives the counter-pivot part against the radial return action of the spring.
