ID="0001.0012"> coussinet.
Bumper bearing <B> for clockwork balance </B>. The bumper bearing for a clockwork movement balance, the pivots of which turn in a metal bearing bearing the counter-pivot according to the present invention is characterized in that this bearing is suspended at least partially inside the cockpit. by means of an elastic device comprising a ring from which leaves an arm at the end of which is a ring supporting the <RTI
ID = "0001.0012"> pad.
Preferably, the ring will be clamped between the -coqueret and the cockerel board and held in a battue made in the wall of a coaxial core with the bore of the bridge providing passage to the tigeron of the balance axis. We can make this elastic device out of steel wire.
The attached drawing shows, by way of example, two embodiments of a bumper bearing according to the present invention.
Fig. 1 is a section of the first through the axis of the balance.
Fig. 2 is a plan view of the elastic device.
Fig. 3 is a -Cut similar to that of FIG. 1 of a second form of execution.
Fig. 4 is a plan view of the elastic device of FIG. 3.
In fig. 1 and 2, 1 worthy the board of the rooster on which the cockerel 2 is fixed by means of screws 3. The racket is not represented. In the board -of coq, and coaxially with the bore 4 which gives passage to the rod 5 of the axis of the balance, a bore 6 has been made, the walls of which end upwards in a battue 7 where is housed a ring 8 on which the pressure of the screws 3 applies the shell which clamps it in place.
From this ring starts an arm 9 which ends in a split ring 10, in which the metal bearing 6 has been introduced where the pivot of the balance turns. A counter-pivot 11 is housed in this pad. The ring 8, the arm 9 and the ring 10 are manufactured from a single piece of thin steel. The arm 9 makes a spring and the whole constitutes an elastic device by means of which the pad is suspended, partially inside the shell,
and this freely enough for! that both the radial components and the axial components of the shocks that the watch receives can be absorbed by this arm 9 until the shank 5 touches the walls of the bore 4 or until the range of; the axis of the balance abuts under the board of the rooster.
Such a bumper bearing, although very inexpensive, is more than sufficient to avoid, in most cases, the breakage of the pivot which results from the fatigue caused by the shocks which the watch receives.
In the embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4, we find the same organs as those shown in FIG. 1 and 2. They bear the same reference signs. The elastic device is however here formed of a steel wire spring, which can be seen more specifically in FIG. 4, and the manufacture of which is even cheaper than that of the elastic device that of FIGS. 1 and 2.
