Process for making a new salt.
(The subject of the present patent is a process for the preparation of a new salt which is characterized in that diethylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-6-methyl-anilide) is reacted with dioxymaleic acid. The reaction can be carried out in a solvent such as, for. B. alcohol, ether, benzene, dioxane, water, water-alcohol mixtures, make.
To carry out the process according to the invention, you can also proceed in such a way that a salt of diethylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-6-methyl-anilides) is brought together with such a salt of dioxymalic acid, from which the free intermediate is formed by reaction Diethylaminoacetic acid f2-chloro-6-methyl-anilide) and the free dioxymaleic acid form. The reaction product in this case consists of two salts; Depending on the solubility and tendency to crystallize, diethylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-6-methyl-anilide) -hydrogen-dioxymaleate appears as the first or second crystallizate.
The diet obtained in this way. Thylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-7-methylanilide) hydrogen dioxymaleate forms colorless crystals that melt at 109-111. The new salt is intended to be used as a local anesthetic,
Example:
5 g of diethylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-6-methyl anilide) in 50 cubic meters of ether are mixed with a solution of 2.9 g of dioxymaleic acid in 50 cubic meters of ether. Crystallization occurs on addition of acetone. After some time, the crystals formed are filtered off with suction, washed with ether and then dried.
7 g of diethylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-6-methyl-anilide) -hydrogen-dioxymaleate, which melts at 109111, are obtained.
PATENT CLAIM:
Process for the preparation of a new salt, characterized in that diethylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-6-methyl-amilide) is reacted with dioxymaleic acid.
The resulting diethylaminoacetic acid (2-chloro-6-methyl-anilide) -hydrogen-dioxymaleate forms colorless crystals which melt at 109-111; it is intended to be used as a local anesthetic.
