Verrou.
(fig.
Lock. The present invention relates to a lock, comprising a bolt slaved to a rotating part capable of performing a limited angular displacement, enclosed in a housing and operable from the outside of this housing by a member of maneuver.
This lock is characterized by a movable stop mounted on said rotating part and being able to occupy two positions relative to said rotating part, the working one in which it abuts against at least one member of the lock, in order to block the rotating part, thus preventing the movements of the bolt, the other of rest in which it allows to the rotating part to turn, Lin dis positive elastic tending to </ B > maintain it in its rest position, the housing further enclosing at least one movable part which can be operated from the outside by a control member and intended to maintain the stop in the working position,
this moving part being able to occupy a determined position relative to to the rotating part, position in which it allows to the stop to come into rest position, when the rotating part occupies one of its extreme positions, said determined position corresponding to a determined position of the control member relative to to at least one mark carried by the housing.
The appended drawing represents, as as an example ple, an embodiment of the subject of the invention.
The fi, -. 1 is a plan view of a cycle polish lock. Fig. 2 is a section along II-II of FIG. 1, the case alone being shown.
Fig. 3 is a section of fig. 1 pa aligns with the plane of the sheet according to III-III of fig. 4.
The fi-. 4 is a section along IV-IV of FIG. 3.
Figs. 5 and 6 are detail views. The lock shown is a lock for c #, keys, comprising a case formed of two parts 1 and 2 (fig. 2) adjustable one to the other by translation relative. The side walls of these pieces 1 and 2 have tenon and mortise parts, such as la and 2a intended to penetrate each other to prevent the two parts can be separated by any stripping, but can only be separated by a relative translation of these two parts. Part 2 has two bosses 3 in which holes 4 are drilled.
Locking parts 5 in the form of a piston can slide in the holes 4. They are subjected to the action of spells 6 tending < B> to push them against room 1 and to make them penetrate into housings 7 made to </ B> this effect in the bosses 8 presented in part 1. When assembling parts 1 and 2, the springs 6 are compressed.
When the tenons and mortises such as la, and 2a are engaged, the housings 7 are located opposite the pistons 5 which y penetrate, assem thus blending parts 1 and 2 in a definite way. Part 2 carries a 9 clamp for fixing the lock to the fork of a cycle, This clamp is tightened by screws 10 whose head 10a is located inside the inside of the case.
A bolt 11 (fig. 3) is slidably mounted in the housing. This bolt has, over part of its length, a rack 12 cooperating with a toothed sector 13 carried by a rotating part 14 (FIG. 4) formed of two parts, 14a and 14b constituting a housing.
Part 14a shows the toothed sector 13; part 14b is mounted with greasy friction on a barrel 15 pivoted in part 1 of the housing and angularly secured to an operating button 16 thus enabling the bolt 1.1. The rotating part 14 carries a movable stop < B> 1.7 sliding in grooves 18a and 18b made in parts 14a and 14b, and able to occupy a rest position (shown in fig. 3 </ B > and 4) and a working position in which it protrudes out of the housing and abuts at 19a or at 19b against a shoulder lb of the part 1 of the case,
thus preventing part 14 from rotating; indeed, when the stop 17 presses at 19a or at 19b against the shoulder lb, the part 14 is in one of its positions extremes, its angular displacements being limited by the length of the rack 12. A spring 20 tends to maintain the stop 17 in the position of rest.
A moving part formed by a cam 21, having a flat 21a. (fig. 5), prevents the stop 17 from coming to rest, except for a determined angular position of this cam with respect to to the part rotary 14, position in which the flat 2la is located opposite the stop 17. This cam is fixed to a rod 22 concentric with the sleeve 15 </ B> and to the button 16, and to the end of which is fixed a knurled button 23 which thus makes it possible to rotate the cam 21 A dial 24 bearing a series of numbers 25 (fig. 1) is fixed to the rod 22.
The dial is placed in a housing made in the exterior face of the button 16. The case bears two references 26 and 27 intended for to be used respectively for the two extreme positions of the rotating part 14. These marks are located under the operating button 16, which is made of transparent material . When the part 14 occupies one of its extreme positions, it suffices to set a determined index number of the dial 24 opposite the mark corresponding to this position so that the flat 2la of the cam 21 is brought next to the stop 17.
The lock shown further comprises three superimposed washers, concentric to the rod 22 (fig. 6). These three washers de- signed by < B> 28, 29 and 30 are located on the path of the stop 17 and keep it in the working position. They each have a radial notch 31 open on their periphery and allowing the stop 17 to come into the rest position, when this notch is located opposite the stop. The washer 28 is angularly integral with the sleeve 15, while the washers 29 and 30 are mounted idle on the rod 22.
The washers 29 and 30 each have an arcuate groove, designated respectively by 32 and 33. The groove 32 is shorter than groove 33. A #finger 34 obtained by folding back a tongue cut in the washer 28 passes < B> to -through these two grooves. This position allows the three washers to be operated by means of the button 16. The notches 31 are diametrically opposed to the finger 34, respectively to the grooves 32 < / B> and 33.
The operation of this lock is as follows: When the rotating part 14 is blocked -in one of its extreme positions, the stop 17 being in the working position, the knob is turned. 16 which drives the man chon 15. The latter is mounted with greasy friction on the rotating part 14, so it turns without driving it; on the other hand, he actuates the washer 28. This drives the other two washers by his finger 34.
The button 16 carries a series of letters index 35. By bringing a specific letter of this series next to one of the markers 26 or 27, it is possible to lead the washer 30, the finger 34 cooperating with one end of the groove 33, in a position such that its notch 31 is located opposite the stop 17. Then by operating the button 16 in the opposite direction , the finger 34 cooperates with an opposite end of the groove 32, without moving the washer 30, the groove 32 being shorter than the groove 33. For -a new -determined position of button 16,
indicated by placing a new index letter of the series 35 with the same mark # as previously, the washer 29 will have its notch 31 located opposite the stop 17. Finally, by reversing to again the rotation of the button 16, the ron delle 28 which, by an analog-Lie maneuver, to the preceding ones is brought to to have its encoclie 31 located opposite the stop 17.
- It is then sufficient to bring the flat 2la of the cam 21 opposite the stop 17, this by the maneuvering of the knurled knob 23, described below - above, so that the stop 17 comes into rest position under the action of the spring 20. The rotating part 14 is then released, and the operation of the button 16 causes the bolt to move; all the parts contained inside the inside of the housing formed by the two parts 14a and 14b of the part 14 then rotate simultaneously, forming a whole. The knurled knob 23 is driven by to the pressure exerted on the cam 21 by the stopper 17.
The operation of the knurled knob 23, while the three washers 28, 29 and 30 have already been brought into the desired position to allow the release, would cause an untimely displacement of the washers 29 and 30. To obviate to </ B> this drawback, these washers are each subjected to the action of a brake (fig. 6) consisting of a segment 36 pressed by a spring 37 against their rim, the spring resting on folded tabs 14c of the part 14b of the rotating part 14.
To block the lock, it is necessary to bring the rotating part 14 to one of its extreme positions and then actuate the knurled button 23. The cam 21 pushes the stopper 17 into position ide work, against against the spring 20, and the lock is blocked. By rotating knob 16 in both directions, the washers 28, 29 and 30 are moved.
We see that to open the lock, it is necessary to know a combination comprising a series of three letters of the series Ô5 to brought in order in relation to one of the references 26 < / B> or 27, then Lin number of the dial 24 to bring next to the same mark. 4 This lock may also apply to doors, safes, steel cassettes, letter boxes, doors and steering wheels of cars, automobiles, etc. In these different applications, only the execution of the housing will vary.
