Dans la forme d'exécution de la fig. 1, le corps de la boîte -est une carrure 1 avec lu nette 2 maintenant la glace 3, la carrure et la lunette ne faisant qu'un; le fond 4 de la boîte est assemblé audit corps en emboîtant à force le pourtour cylindrique de son rebord 5 dans un évidement 6 de la ,carrure, à paroi correspondante. Il est pratiqué une gorge 7 dans le rebord,du fond pour y loger partielle ment et préalablement une garniture de joint 8, pressant contre le fond de la gorge;
cette dernière -est située en élévation, de ma nière que la garniture repose sur l'extrémité de la carrure, lorsque le bout du rebord du fond bute contre l'épaulement 9 de l'évide ment 6, et recouvre le joint 10 entre le corps de la boîte et son fond. Ce joint 10 est obturé au moyen d'un cadre 11 qui, accroché à cran à la carrure, presse par sa surface intérieure 12 la garniture 8;
cette surface 12 est oblique et agit sur l'arête 13 du paquetage, lequel s'étend dans l'espace annulaire 14 (circulaire ou de forme), ménagé à cet effet entre les trois pièces, et n'est ainsi pas maltraité et détérioré. Ainsi, une faible pression du cadra sur le paquetage suffit pour obturer le joint 10;
Un cadre 11, assem blé à cran à la carrure, est dans ce cas à double effet, car il presse la garniture de joint et retient le fond, peu emboîté dans la car rure, par ses surfaces 12 et 16 respectivement;
En outre, le fond ne possède plus de gorge pour la garniture de joint 8; cette dernière s'appuie radialement sur une surface cylin drique 20 d'une partie de plus petit diamètre du rebord du fond et contre l'épaulement 21 créé par celle-ci où elle est pressée, pour obturer le joint 10 entre carrure et fond, par une surface oblique intérieure 12 d'un cadre 11, pareil à, celui de la fig,1;
ladite garniture peut s'étendre ici dans les deux espaces annulaires (circulaires ou de forme) 22 et 23 réservés dans ce but. Une gorge 15 du fond permet de le déboîter. Le fond est en outre utilisé pour fixer le mouvement dans la boîte en le faisant presser, par sa surface oblique 24, une rondelle élastique 25, en une matière analogue à celle de la garniture de joint, portée par le cadre d'agrandissement 26 où elle se trouve un peu engagée dans une gorge radiale 27;
Le cadre d'agrandissement 39, dont le mouve ment est rendu solidaire par des clés habi tuelles 40, possède au moins un segment 41, obtenu par une fente 42, pour maintenir le mouvement dans la; boîte; pour que le seg ment agisse élastiquement, c'est-à-dire presse contre la paroi intérieure de la carrure, il est plié vers l'extérieur de manière à aug-. menter son rayon;
Sealed box. The object of the present invention is a sealed case for clock movements and measuring devices, in which the bottom is assembled to the body of the case by fitting its rim.
This box is characterized in that the tightness is ensured by a gasket which surrounds the edge of the bottom and is pressed, to close the gasket between the two parts of the box, by an interior surface of at least another part removably fixed to the body of the box, the ring seal packing extending in at least one annular space formed between two of the three parts mentioned,
and the bottom as also the part pressing the lining having means for their disassembly.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, four embodiments of the box forming the subject of the invention. Each of fig.1 to 4 shows a partial axial section of one of these embodiments.
In the embodiment of FIG. 1, the body of the case -is a caseband 1 with clear read 2 maintaining the crystal 3, the caseband and the bezel being one; the bottom 4 of the case is assembled to said body by force-fitting the cylindrical periphery of its rim 5 in a recess 6 of the caseband with a corresponding wall. A groove 7 is made in the rim, from the bottom to house there partially and beforehand a gasket 8, pressing against the bottom of the groove;
the latter -is located in elevation, so that the trim rests on the end of the caseband, when the end of the bottom rim abuts against the shoulder 9 of the recess 6, and covers the seal 10 between the body of the box and its bottom. This seal 10 is closed by means of a frame 11 which, hooked into the caseband, presses the lining 8 through its inner surface 12;
this surface 12 is oblique and acts on the edge 13 of the package, which extends in the annular space 14 (circular or shaped), provided for this purpose between the three parts, and is thus not mistreated and damaged . Thus, a low pressure of the frame on the package is sufficient to close the seal 10;
(so that it does not suffer from it and that the frame can be assembled to the middle part normally, that is to say without forcing too much. A groove 15 is made around the perimeter of the bottom of the case to allow it to be dislocated.
The groove 7 at the bottom, for the gasket lining, not only allows the latter to be contiguous to the bottom, but also to reduce its radial size and consequently to bring the frame hooking notch closer to the center of the box and, ; to further erase the said frame and the background, therefore to make a very beautiful box which would otherwise be impractical.
In the second embodiment of FIG. 2, we find the caseband 1 with bezel 2, surrounding the crystal 3 of the first embodiment. The gasket 8 is also partially housed in a lateral groove 7 of the bottom 4 which is similar to that of FIG. 1 and -fixed the same by force in a recess 6 of the middle part.
A frame 11, assembled with a notch to the case middle, is in this case double-acting, because it presses the gasket lining and retains the back, which is little fitted into the case, by its surfaces 12 and 16 respectively;
the surface 16 maintains the back by its shoulder 17 and the oblique one 12 acts on the edge 13 of the package which, thus pressed, closes the joint 10 between the middle part and the back and extends into the annular space 18 (circular or shaped), provided for this pattern between the three parts.
Maintaining the frame is a precaution in the event of the watch falling. The bottom can also be retained by a bevel and a corresponding interior surface of the frame. 'A groove 15 at the bottom, similar to that of FIG. 1, allows it to be taken out of the middle by means of a usual box work or a screwdriver for example.
The third embodiment of FIG. 3 differs from the first only by its bottom 4 which, in this case, is hooked inside the middle part 1, on the shoulder 19 of which it rests.
In addition, the bottom no longer has a groove for the gasket 8; the latter rests radially on a cylindrical surface 20 of a portion of smaller diameter of the bottom rim and against the shoulder 21 created by the latter where it is pressed, to close the seal 10 between the middle and the back, by an internal oblique surface 12 of a frame 11, similar to that of FIG, 1;
said gasket may extend here in the two annular spaces (circular or shaped) 22 and 23 reserved for this purpose. A groove 15 in the bottom makes it possible to disengage it. The bottom is also used to fix the movement in the box by causing it to press, by its oblique surface 24, an elastic washer 25, of a material similar to that of the gasket insert, carried by the enlargement frame 26 where it is somewhat engaged in a radial groove 27;
the washer changes shape in the spaces 28 and 29 and the movement is thus held elastically in its case by means of said frame which rests on the bottom of the opening in the middle part. The support could also be done by the dial, it goes without saying.
The same result would be obtained by interposing, between a shoulder of the enlargement frame and the end of the back flange, a thin wavy metal spring, having less than one turn to allow the installation of the winding stem. .
One could obviously realize another embodiment by making the bottom of the box of FIG. 3 in a non-metallic material, preferably transparent and colored, having the property of preserving the oil from the light.
In: the last embodiment of FIG. 4, the caseband 1 with the bezel 2 and the crystal 3 are similar to those of the previous embodiments. The back 30, in a transparent non-metallic material, in synthetic glass for example, is assembled to notch in the.
middle part by its rim 31 which abuts against the shoulder 32 of the latter and a groove 15 also makes it possible to remove it from the middle part. The same gasket lining 8 -is also partially housed, beforehand, in a groove 7 of the rim 31 of the bottom; it presses against the bottom of the groove and covers the joint 33 existing between the middle part and said rim 31.
A double metal bottom 34 is assembled in a notch to the caseband and presses the gasket 8, by its faces at square 35 and oblique 36, which can extend into the two annular spaces 37 and 38 (circular or shaped), provided for this purpose; we could remove the oblique surface 36 to have only the square one, an extended louse. The transparent back provides the advantage of allowing, by removing the double back, to show or examine the movement, without risk to the latter.
The enlargement frame 39, the movement of which is made integral by customary keys 40, has at least one segment 41, obtained by a slot 42, to maintain the movement in the; box; so that the segment acts elastically, that is to say presses against the inner wall of the caseband, it is folded outwards so as to increase. lie his ray;
said frame a. a small clearance in height between the end of the bottom flange and the shoulder of the housing of the middle part in which the frame-movement assembly is housed and held in hand and it has a groove 43 for its dislocation.
To dismantle the frame or the double bottom, which presses the gasket lining, one or the other of the means employed to remove the usual bottom of a box, mounted in detent, is used.
In all embodiments, the frame or the double bottom is hooked onto the box body, but it is understood that one or the other of these. parts could be assembled there otherwise, bayonet by
