La boîte de montre représentée à la fig. 1 comprend, outre le verre, une carrure- lunette et un fond 2, muni d'une collerette 2h;
Une en- oc , 9, invisible de dessus l'organe de fixa e 'he tion, permet de le visser ou dévisser, au moyen d'une clé, dont une petite saillie, qui correspond à l'encoche précipitée, interrompt l'ouverture circulaire de même diamètre que le pourtour cylindrique dudit organe de fixa tion (voir brevet suisse no 207231);
Waterproof watch box. The object of the present invention is a waterproof watch case. This box is characterized in that the bottom has a lerette collar, one face of which rests on the body of the box, while, on the other face, presses a rigid member for fixing the bottom, removably mounted on this body. .
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the present invention, as well as variants.
Fig. 1 is an axial section of this embodiment. Figs. 2 to 8 and 10 to 13 each represent a partial axial section of a variant. Fig. 9 is a plan of a variant of a detail.
The watch case shown in FIG. 1 comprises, in addition to the glass, a caseband-bezel and a back 2, provided with a collar 2h;
between this collar and the. middle-bezel is disposed an elastic seal or gasket 3, for example of the material commercially designated under the name of plexigum, housed in a circular groove of the middle part.
This bottom has an eccentric housing 2. "into which penetrates the head of a screw 5 of movement 6, so as to fix its position and prevent it from turning when it is assembled to the box by means of of the rigid rotary fixing member or cap 4, which covers it and whose outer screw thread 8 cooperates with that of the middle part.
A notch , 9, invisible from above the fixing member, allows it to be screwed or unscrewed by means of a key, including a small projection, which corresponds to the 'precipitated notch interrupts the circular opening of the same diameter as the cylindrical periphery of said fixing member (see Swiss Patent No. 207231);
when the latter is screwed on, it presses on the inclined upper face of the collar 21 "of the back 2, to make it penetrate into the seal 3, until the back rests on part 7 of the caseband where it As the bottom is immobilized in rotation, it will not be driven by the rotating fixing member, which prevents any deterioration of the seal. and it will still have the advantage of taking the same position. after disassembly.
In the variant of FIG. 2, the flange 2b of the bottom 2 is horizontal and crushes the seal 3 in plexigum, more resistant as that of the previous example., For example, or in soft metal.
In 'the variants of FIGS. 3 to 5, the bottom 10, in the shape of a cap, is assembled to the box and pushed onto the seal, via a ring 10b which is the rigid organ rotating fixing.
In fig. 3, the coupling of this ring to the middle part is with a bayonet: these are lugs 11 which act in helical ramps 12 made in the middle part and into which they can enter, thanks to vertical passages not shown. In fig. 3 and 4. the bottom 10a present, in its. internal face. a radial groove 13, into which penetrates the head 14 of a screw of movement 6, this to immobilize the base in rotation and fix its position when it is assembled to the box by means of the rota fixing member tif.
In fig. 4, this fixing member carries at least one locking means constituted by a screw 15 which, forced against the bottom. when this is pressed sufficiently against the seal. sealing, makes it possible to block, that is to say to prevent the fixing member from unscrewing. This fixing member could also be blocked by means of screws or an eccentric located in the middle part or in the back.
In fig. 5, the back collar 10 ,, is made so as to come to rest against the caseband, after having compressed both the upper and internal faces of the seal which, for this purpose, is no longer housed in a groove in the caseband. Here the bottom 10a is located and prevented from rotating. when screwing the fastener. by a pin, fixed in the middle part, (it fits in a small radial notch made in the back: pin and notch are represented in dotted lines.
In the variants of FIGS. 6, 7 and 8, the seal 3 is housed in a circular groove, not in the caseband, but in the back 10a and this is the caseband, respectively the bezel in FIG. 8, which has an annular projection, triangular in shape, intended to sink into said seal.
Finally, in fig. 7, the rigid fixing member 10b is screwed by an internal thread 17 on the external one 18 of the middle part; a knurling 19 makes it possible to screw the fixing member in question, until it is in contact with the middle part; At this time, the annular end of the latter has penetrated the desired amount into the seal. A stop piece, consisting of a screw 20, locked against the car rure, prevents the fixing member from unscrewing.
The bottom 10a of this fig. 7 can also be immobilized in rotation, either by a pin, fixed in the middle part or the bezel, which would penetrate into a notch made on the perimeter of said base, or by a tenon, taken out of the material itself of the base, housed in a corresponding notch in the middle part or the bezel. Instead of being one with the middle part, the thread 18 could be at the end of a glass bezel 21, added passing through the middle part, as shown in FIG. 8.
The bezel and 4a crystal could be made in one piece of elastic material, for example synthetic resin, the crystal at least being. transparent. In this case, the fixing or gane would preferably be fixed on the metal caseband. Of course, the car rure, the bezel and the glass could. be replaced by a unique piece also in unbreakable material.
Fig. 9 shows a fixing ring 101, similar to those previously described, but having, on its upper face, two diametrically opposed slots 22 to allow its screwing by means of a simple key.
In the variants of FIGS. 10 to 13, the rigid fixing member is again a ring 10, or a cap 4, but which is fixed to the body of the box by a notch 24. In FIG. 10, the seal is. carried by the middle part, while, in fig. 12 and 13, it is carried by the fixing member and covers the junction line of the bottom with the middle part.
Finally, in fig. 11, the bottom 25 is made of a transparent and unbreakable material, for example synthetic resin, such as that known under the trade designation of plexiglass.
The lower face 26 of the glue rette of this bottom 25 has been treated (for example thermally or chemically), so as to be slightly plastic, which allows it to conform to the shape of the corresponding part. dante of the caseband -and achieve an effective seal; the same result would be achieved by applying a slightly plastic layer to the inner face of this edge, which has remained rigid.
When the fixing member is a ring and the test case back is made of transparent unbreakable material, colored or not, the movement can be seen without having to dismantle the case; this is especially advantageous for a sealed box, since it is then always possible to realize the state of the movement, especially the oil, on which its proper functioning depends. The seller can also have the qualities and characteristics (gemstone, shock absorber, finish, etc.) of the watch assessed, without opening it.
The part of the back, of the caseband or of the bezel which penetrates into the seal, may of course have a different shape than those shown; one could also practice on this bottom several concentric annular projections or at least one circular groove, in which the compressed material of the seal would penetrate.
In all the embodiments shown, the rigid member for fixing the bottom is mounted on the part of the box with which the bottom is in sealed contact, but, of course, this is not a necessity and this member could be mounted on another part of the box.
