Apparatus for transferring images to a watch face. The object of the invention is an apparatus for transferring images onto a watch dial, comprising a pad and a piston capable of acting axially, on the rear face of this pad to deform it and enlarge the image that he wears on his im priming face. In the devices of this kind known hitherto, the piston has a threaded rod mounted in the handle of the device. To distort the stamp and enlarge the image, this rod is screwed in and to bring the stamp back to its original shape, the piston rod must be unscrewed.
The apparatus according to the invention is characterized in that the piston rod has a rack engaged with a pinion mounted on a shaft perpendicular to said rod and controlled by an operating button.
The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, one embodiment of the apparatus forming the subject of the invention.
The, fig. 1 is a section and FIG. 2 an elevation view. The apparatus shown comprises a gelatin pad 1 mounted by its periphery in a bezel 2 screwed onto a cylindrical frame 3 coming in one piece with the handle 4 disposed in the axis of the pad 1.
The handle 4 is hollow and in its axial bore is mounted the rod 5 of a piston whose head 6 is intended to act on the rear face of the buffer 1, to deform the latter and thus agran dir the image that can bear its printing surface. The rod 5 is provided with a mesh creator 7 which is engaged with a pinion 8 disposed at the inner end of a shaft 9 mounted in a transverse bore of the frame 3, perpendicular to the axis of the buffer 1.
The shaft 9 has an end part 10 of reduced diameter, the end of which comes out of the frame 3 and carries an operating button 11. On part 10 of the shaft is wedged by a pin 12 one of the elements 13 of a Bréguet coupling, the wolf-tooth crown of which is directed outwards and cooperates, under the action of a coil spring 14 acting at the end of the shaft 9, with the tooth crown corresponding wolf of the other element 15 fixed by a pin 16 to the frame 3 and forming a bearing for the end part 10 of the control shaft.
This shaft is therefore free axially, but the spring 14 holding it in the coupling position of the elements 13 and 15 of the Bréguet, it is clear that in this position it can only be turned, by actuating the button 11, in the clockwise, the direction corresponding to the movement of the rack 7 downwards, that is to say to the working stroke of the piston 5, 6. This deforms the buffer 1 and keeps the acquired position thanks to the. snap-fit cooperation 13, 15.
To return the piston to the rest position. shown, in which it does not act on the buffer 1, it suffices to actuate the pusher 17, the rod of which rests on a ball 18 housed at the bottom of an axial borehole of the end part 10 of the shaft 9. In doing so, the Bréguet 13, 15 is disengaged and the shaft 9 is driven by the spring 14 in an anti-clockwise direction: in fact, the spring 14 acts not only axially on the shaft 9, but it also behaves like a torsion spring which is armed by the dextrorsum rotation of this shaft.
Thus a slight pressure exerted on the pous evening 17 is sufficient to automatically return the enlarging piston to the rest position.
The manrnuvre button 11 is mounted on a sleeve 1.9 wedged on the end of part 10 of the control shaft and. present as notches 20 in which the tip of the. clamping screw 21. The button 11 carries, on the other hand, a pin \? \? sliding in a groove 23 formed in a flange 24 of the frame. It is thus possible, by modifying the angular position of the button relative to the ends of the. groove 23 before screwing in screw 21, adjust the. maximum rotation of the control shaft and hence the maximum deformation of the buffer 1.
The button 11 can carry a graduation 25 cooperating with an index 26 of the flange 24 to indicate the value of this maximum deformation,
