Description
Yerfaliren zur Herstellung eines Gerbstoffes. Gegenstand des Hauptpatentes ist ein Ver fahren zur Herstellung eines Gerbstoffes durch Sulfonierung eines grosstechnisch an fallenden, die drei isomeren Kresole enthal tenden Gemisches, Umsetzung des Sulfonie- rungsproduktes mit Kolophonium und Be handlung des Umsetzungsproduktes mit sul- fonierenden Mitteln.
Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines Gerb stoffes, das dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man ein grosstechnisch anfallendes, die drei isomeren Kresole und die sechs isomeren Xylenole enthaltendes Gemisch sulfoniert, das Sulfonierungsprodukt mit Kolophonium umsetzt und das Umsetzungsprodukt mit sul- fonierenden Mitteln behandelt. Der neue Gerbstoff ist eine in Wasser leicht lösliche Masse.
<I>Beispiel:</I> Man sulfiert 60 Gewichtsteile eines bei der Kohlenhydrierung gewonnenen Kresolöls, das etwa<B>70%</B> eines Gemisches der drei iso- meren Kresole und<B>30%</B> eines Gemisches der sechs isomeren Xylenole enthält, durch Be handlung mit 42 Gewichtsteilen Monohydrat.
Dann werden in die noch warme Sulfierungs- masse portionsweise 120 Gewichtsteile deut sches Kolophonium eingetragen. Nach halb stündiger Nachrührzeit, wobei man auf etwa 75 abkühlt, sulfiert man mit 125 Gewichts teilen Monohydrat und lässt dann 1 Stunde nachrühren. Die Hauptmenge der überschüs sigen Schwefelsäure wird darauf durch Aus waschen nach Ausfällung des Gerbstoffes entfernt.
Der mit Salmiakgeist neutralisierte Gerbstoff wird dann mit einer Lösung von 20 Gewichtsteilen kristallisierter Oxalsäure in 120 Gewichtsteilen Wasser angesäuert und mit 275 Gewichtsteilen eines synthetischen Gerbstoffes versetzt, der nach den Angaben der deutschen Patentschrift Nr. 453431 durch Umsetzung eines noch flüssigen Phenol- h'ormaldehyd-Kondensationsproduktes mit Benzylnaphthalinsulfosäure erhalten wurde.

The present invention relates to a process for the production of a tanning material, which is characterized in that an industrially produced mixture containing the three isomeric cresols and the six isomeric xylenols is sulfonated, the sulfonation product is reacted with rosin and the reaction product is reacted with sulphonating agents treated. The new tanning agent is a mass that is easily soluble in water.
<I> Example: </I> 60 parts by weight of a cresol oil obtained in the course of carbohydrates are sulfated, which is about <B> 70% </B> of a mixture of the three isomeric cresols and <B> 30% </B> of one Contains mixture of six isomeric xylenols by treatment with 42 parts by weight of monohydrate.

The tanning agent neutralized with ammonia is then acidified with a solution of 20 parts by weight of crystallized oxalic acid in 120 parts by weight of water and 275 parts by weight of a synthetic tanning agent is added which, according to the information in German Patent No. 453431, is produced by reacting a still liquid phenol- Condensation product with benzylnaphthalene sulfonic acid was obtained.
