Description

Verfahren zur Herstellung von sauren Schwefelsäureestern höhermolekularer, Oxygruppen enthaltender Verbindungen Es wurde gefunden, daß man saure Schwefelsäureester von höhermolekularen, Oxygruppen enthaltenden Verbindungen mit sehr wertvollen Eigenschaften erhält, wenn man mehrwertige aliphatische Alkohole mit hydroaromatischen Carbonsäuren oder ihren Abkömmlingen unter gleichzeitiger Behandlung mit sulfonieYenden Mitteln umsetzt. Die so erhaltenen Erzeugnisse sind als solche oder in Form ihrer wasserlöslichen Salze hochwertige Wasch-, Reinigungs-, Dispergier-, Netz- und Lösungsmittel, .die sich insbesondere für die Wollwäscherei gut eignen. Beispiel In eine Mischung aus zoo Gewichtsbeilen Naphthensäure und 75 GewichtsteilenÄthylenglykol läßt man unter Kühlung und Rühren 323 Gewichtsbeile Schwefelsäuremonohydrat langsam einfließen und rührt dann das Gemisch bei gewöhnlicher Temperatur noch etwa 23 Stunden lang. Das Umsetzungsgemisch wird nach Zusatz von Äther durch Ausschütteln mit gesättigter Natriumsulfatlösung von überschüssiger Schwefelsäure befreit; durch Behandlung der ätherischen Lösung mit Wasser werden die nicht umgesetzten Teile des Ausgangsgutes vom Sulfonat getrennt. Dieses wird mit Alkali neutralisiert, ausgesalzen und in einem Gemisch aus Alkohol und Äther aufgenommen.
