Le trameur est un organe destiné à s'en gager perpendiculairement aux fils de chaîne pour conduire le fil de trame d'une lisière à l'autre; c'est un guide-fil monté excentri quement sur un disque commandé par l'arbre moteur; le mouvement de rotation du disque est transformé en un mouvement rectiligne saccadé du guide et il est combiné avec le mouvement de rotation d'une bobine portant le fil de chaîne annexe; celui-ci se tisse dans la lisière opposée à celle proche du trameur;
A method of manufacturing a fabric, a loom for its implementation, and a fabric obtained by this process. The present invention comprises a process for making a fabric, a loom for carrying out this process as well as a fabric obtained by this process.
The method which the invention comprises is characterized in that between the warp yarns stretched over beams, a weft yarn is engaged which loops around an additional warp yarn arranged at the edge, and returns to loop around of the warp thread of the selvedge op posed after crossing the strings tightening the pick thus formed.
The loom which the invention comprises is characterized by a weft yarn moving perpendicular to the warp threads, a spool from which an additional warp thread is unwound and to which the weft thread delivered to it by the framer at the end of travel between the warp yarns, and means for the weft yarn to wind around the annex yarn before being brought back to the other selvedge by the weft yarn. The appended drawing represents, by way of example, an implementation of the method which the invention comprises, as well as an embodiment of the trade which also comprises the invention.
Fig. 1 schematically shows the constitution of a fabric obtained by means of an implementation of the method which the invention comprises. This implementation can be carried out as indicated schematically in FIGS. 2 to 6.
Fig. 7 is an overall schematic view of said embodiment of the trade, which can be used, for example, for said implementation of the method.
Figs. 8 and 9 are views in elevation and plan of the framer of this trade.
Figs. 10 and 11 show in plan and elevation the spool of attached warp wire. Figs. 12 and 13 are front and side elevation views of a reduction gear. Figs. 14 and 15 are front and side views of a control screw of a combination box.
The fi-. 16 is a sectional view of the multiple combination box.
Fig. 17 is an elevational view, with cutaway, of a string control lever.
Figs. 18 and 19 are views in elevation and detail plan of the braking of the coils as a whole.
Fig. 20 is a general diagram of the art.
As shown in diagrammatic figure 1, between the warp yarns 1, 2 arranged in the usual way on beams, a trailer 3 is engaged which carries the weft yarn 4 and winds it at the end of its travel to go around it. 'an annex chain thread 5 arranged at the edge 11 of the warp threads 1, 2; in its return stroke, the weft machine 3 brings back the weft thread 4 by slightly pulling the annex thread 5, so that when the comb 10 (fig. 6) has come to clamp the pick 12 thus formed against the fabric 8 ( Fig. 3) already woven, the edges on each side of the fabric look similar.
The additional warp thread 5 unwinds from a spool 6 (fig. 2) having a spout 7 on which the weft machine 3 engages the weft thread 4 which comes, on the one hand from the already finished fabric 8 and from a reel 9. The loom is adjusted so that the spool 6 turns when the weir 3 has just engaged the thread 4 (fig. 2):
turning in the direction of arrow F, la. spool (thread 3) pulls the thread 4 which surrounds the warp thread 5 up to <B>% </B> the position indicated <B> to </B> the thread. 4 eg u <B>? -, </B> ple; in the meantime, the weeder 3 has withdrawn, the thread 4 has passed around the spool 6 (fig. 5) and is wound around the warp thread 5: in its sudden movement. recoil, which precedes the lowering of the comb 10, the weirter 3 exerted a slight traction on the threads 4 and 5, so that the selvedge loops 11 formed by these threads are similar to those of the return loops 14 of the thread frame 4.
As soon as the comb 10 is raised, the weft machine 3 resumes its forward stroke and the spool 6, which has returned to the starting position, is ready to hook the weft thread 4 and to drag it to loop it with the wire annex 5.
It can be seen that by the method described, the shuttles, the control and adjustment devices are removed and the efficiency of the loom is thereby considerably increased. The weft yarn supply is practically unlimited: the consumption of auxiliary warp yarn is equal to the manufacture of the fabric: for example a 20-meter spool can make 15 meters of coarse grain and 20 meters of fabric. ordinary. In addition, for a margin of 0.120 m, a displacement is sufficient. of the 0.040 comb, that is to say that the warp threads are not tired.
It is understood that the fabric obtained by the process which has just been described can be produced on a loom specially designed for this purpose, or on a loom in use in woven or hosiery. by making the appropriate changes. It can be woven with several superimposed threads, for example silk right side, cotton back side, etc.
The embodiment of the loom shown in figs. 7 to 20 are particularly relevant to the implementation of the method which has just been described.
This embodiment is mainly characterized by the following components, which will be described successively below: weft machine, fabric drive gearbox, combination box for controlling the strings and brake. for beam reels.
The framer is a member intended to engage perpendicularly to the warp threads to lead the weft thread from one selvedge to the other; it is a thread guide mounted eccentrically on a disc controlled by the motor shaft; the rotational movement of the disc is transformed into a jerky rectilinear movement of the guide and it is combined with the rotational movement of a spool carrying the attached warp wire; this one is woven in the edge opposite to that close to the tramter;
the framer engages between the warp threads during the opening of the margin to said spool and withdraws in a rapid return stroke during the closing of the. edging and the deflection of the comb for tightening the formed pick.
The control disc of the weeder is mounted at the end of the motor shaft, which also drives the spool carrying the auxiliary warp wire by eccentrics and a reduction device for driving the fabric: this shaft drives the shaft of the chain by pinion. 'a combination box for the movement of the boards; this shaft also carries a cam for the movement of the comb and a cam for a warp thread tensioner.
For all these commands, a synchronization must be established; thus the advance and the retreat of the framer correspond to the rotation of the reel carrying the annex chain wire which is controlled by a crankshaft.
The movement of the fabric drive gearbox shaft is effected by a freewheeling pinion driven back and forth by a chain coming from an eccentric of the drive shaft. On this shaft is wedged an adjustable pinion, the teeth of which engage in one of the series of holes in the reduction disc as will be seen later.
The drive shaft of the combination box is connected to the drive shaft by pinion and chain. This box is made up of a series of discs locked on a shaft and on the periphery of which any number of cams can be mounted, so as to achieve all kinds of assemblies, ranging for example from 1/1 to 1/11. This arrangement ensures great flexibility of operation, constant output at all speeds and instant modification of combinations.
The beam spool carriers are fixed to metal brake drums, regular and progressive tightening is ensured by the traction of the chain threads on the brake cable tension levers.
These different organs will be described in more detail below.
The framer (fig. 8 and 9) is. consisting of a rod 1, one end of which is mounted on a pin 2 integral with a connecting rod 3, the end of which is guided by the crank pin 5 of a disk 4. To this crank pin 5 is fixed an offset crank pin 8 connected by a system of rods 9 and 10 forming the thread tensioner at 7 and articulated at a fixed point 11. The weft thread 18 coming. from any source passes through the tensioner 7 and the end 12 of the weirter 1.
The thread tensioner system by movements of the connecting rods can be replaced by a cam of suitable profile fixed on the motor shaft 13 and controlling a small oscillating lever terminated by an eye through which the weft thread will pass between the feed device. continuous weft thread and the weft 1. The disc 4 -is driven by the motor shaft 13. The weft 1 therefore has a rectilinear back and forth movement above a roller 14 supporting the fabric; it is guided in a slide 6 and its forward stroke brings it close to a reel 15 whose rotation is a function of that of said 4.
For the execution of the fabric defined above, this reel 15 is composed of two parts, a part 8'5 integral with a drive shaft 17 and forming a drive sector of a part 86 held by a slide 87 and having a hook 19 for dragging the weft thread.
There is shown in FIGS. 10, and 11 spool 15 in the position for driving the weft thread 18, just before forming the loop with the annex warp thread 16 unwound from spool 86 (arrow <B> f). </ B > When parts & 5, 86 have made 3/4 of a turn, the looped thread is pulled by the trailing and escapes at 93; part 85 returns in the opposite direction to its starting position (arrow <B> f </B>) and part 8,6 is ready to hook the thread brought by the framer for the formation of a new loop .
We could also leave part 86 motionless in a cage fixed in a determined position and force the framer to make the weft thread go around this spool <B> 86; </B> we could still imagine any other method of shuttle launched through the weft loop.
It is always necessary that the movements of dragging of the thread 18 and of the weaving of the tra meur 1 are synchronous and that the frother 1 is withdrawn quickly so that the movement of closing the edging and felling of the combs is carried out immediately. shaped pick.
To this end, the axis 17 is controlled, by firing a crank pin 25 from the motor shaft 13, by a chain 27 which gives a pinion 26 of the axis 17 its movement, as seen in fig. 7. The set is. combined so that the disc 4, by rotating, communicates to the tra meur 1 its back-and-forth movement and that the notch 19 of the spool 15 is presented before the framer 1 at the front end of travel.
The synchronous advance control of the finished fabric 20 is performed as follows (fi--. <B> 7, </B> 12 and <B> 13): </B> On a shaft 24 is fixed a freewheel pinion 23 receiving by chain 22-, from a crank 21 of the motor shaft 13, a reciprocating movement which causes it to rotate by one fraction of a turn for one revolution of the 'engine shaft. On this same shaft 24, a movable pinion 29 is fixed by locking screw 28. The latter can be engabbed at will in a series of holes 30 of a disc 31 and drive it in rotation. The axis 32 of this disc carries a pinion 33 on which is mounted a transmission chain 34 which drives a pinion 35.
This pinion is mounted on a shaft 36 controlling the rotation of two splined motor cylinders 38, 39. Between these cylinders is placed a crazy weighted cylinder 40 and the finished fabric 20 is guided between these cylinders as shown in fig. 13. The pinions 33 and 35 are, for example, 14 and 50 teeth: the series of holes 30 of the disc 31 allow a gear change without change of pinion, for example to go from 15 to 50 picks per inch.
The shafts 36 and 24 are held by fixing to the frame at 41, 42, 43.
The opening and closing movements of the edging, which must also depend on the movement of the framer 1 and the reel 15, are reliably controlled by a multiple combination box. A control shaft 44 is actuated by a pinion 45 meshing, by a transmission 46, with a pinion 47 wedged at the end of the shaft 13 carried by the frame at 48, 49.
This shaft 44 ends with a helical screw 50 held on the frame by tabs 51 and meshing with a pinion 52 blocked on a shaft. cam 53. This gives a very simple gear reduction which can be in the ratio 1:12 (fig. 7, 14, 15 and 16).
On the shaft 53 is wedged an e @ -linder 54 on which are mounted several packs of discs (fig. 16). Each package 55 consists of four discs 56 separated by spacer flanges. 57 of a smaller diameter and assembled by bolts 62 or riveted. Between these discs, one or more cams 58 are accommodated. The number of groups of discs is unlimited and depends on the number of boards to be actuated. There are two types of cams, movement cams 58 or plugging cams 59 (fig. <B> 17). </B> Depending on whether they are combined in pairs or three, the profile of the. cam.
The tails 60 of these cams are split and designed to fit into the hollows between discs 56 and spacers 57. The assembly is fixed to a frame 61 ..
This arrangement of removable cams allows all assemblies, for example from 1J1 to 1; 11, with instantaneous modification of the combinations.
The control of the movement of the strings by said cams 58, 59 can be effected by the device shown in FIG. 17, a lever ± 33 is mounted at 63 'on a pivot axis of the chassis 61. In front of this axis 63' is provided an elbow carrying a roller 64 which rolls on the discs 56 and cams 58, which has the effect of making tilt the lever 63 around its axis. The front end of the lever carries a pulley 80 over which passes a cable 65 fixed at a fixed point 66 and the other end of which controls the strings remotely. The other end of the lever has a pulley 67 which can be inserted into any of several holes 68 depending on the desired setting.
Cable 65 can be as long as desired and controls movement. boards at the desired distance. There is shown in FIGS. 18 and 19, the braking device of the hose reel carriers. The warp threads 70 -which are born to the boards by two support rollers 71 and 72 come from the beam spools 73.
Each is blocked on an axis integral with a metallic brake drum 76 around which a braking tape or metallic cable 77 is wound which is fixed as shown in the drawing, on the one hand, to a fixed point 8.1 of the frame, on the other to a lever 75 carrying the roller 74 over which the warp threads 70 pass; on a square 78 is suspended a weight 79 to balance the traction of the warp son 70 and adjust their tension. At the time of opening of the edging, the wire 70 exerts a traction on the roller 74 which tilts; cable 77 is loose.
The reverse operation is carried out when the edge is closed. A regular, progressive and constant tightening is thus obtained, the warp threads 70 pulling on the control lever of the braking cables of the beam spools.
The loom described, used for implementing the weaving process described, allows a speed of 250 strokes per minute. The motion of the framer makes it possible to reach high speeds. The work of the warp threads is very flexible thanks to the cam drive; the opening of the margin can be very small: 0.10 m, and the movement of the comb of 0.04 m. Fig. 20 is a schematic overview of the art described. The son 70 unwound from the beam spools 73 are held by the boards 82 and screened with the weft thread 18 which is delivered by the spool; a thread breaker 83 closes an electrical circuit in the event of a weft thread breakage to stop the drive.
The fabric 2,0- is wound up on the cylinders 38, 39, 40. This drawing shows schematically the control by lever 63 and combination box 61 of the boards 82, the motor shaft 13 controlling the framer and the comb. 84 and the drive by pinion 29 and disc 31 of the cylinders 38, 39, 40. It can be seen that these controls are naturally synchronous. The wire 70 unwound from the beam spools 73, adjusted by the metal brakes 76 and carried by the roll holders 75, passes over the guide rollers 72, 71, is crossed by the wings of span 8.8 and moved apart by the lists 82; the yarn passes under the comb 84, is combined with the weft yarn 18 by the action of the weft machine, and the fabric formed is guided at 89 towards the rollers.
The movement of the comb 84 is controlled in a known manner by arms 90 controlled, by means of cams 91, 92, by the motor shaft 13.
The movement of the pick clamping comb will be controlled by cam, so as to move it only and at the precise moment when its work is to be done.
