Des balais en nom bre égal au produit du nombre de navettes par le nombre de groupes de fils (c'est-à-dire ici 3 x 2 = 6) et disposés par couples dont chacun comprend un balai 61cr et un balai 64b (un par étage de coulisseaux), frottent sur le ruban 60;
eliaque balai 61a correspond à une navette et à l'étage supérieur de cou- lisseaul -12; chaque balai 64b correspond à la même navette et à l'étage inférieur de cou lisseaux -12a;
-Naturellement, le ruban perforé 60 et le commutateur 66 tournent en synchronisme avec L'arbre 6 7 grâce à ivre liaison non repré sentée, et le ruban 60 est arrêté pendant que dure le changement de canette, afin de retrouver le même duitage. Dans une va riante, le blocage des coulisseaux est obtenu au moyen d'un mécanisme (fig. l.0) compre nant deux billes 124 qui, sous l'action d'un cône 125 qui les écarte, viennent s'engager dans une gorge circulaire 126 du cylindre intérieur 57;
Le chariot qui reçoit la. canette 68 est constitué par un piston creux 89 (fig. 19 et. 19a) qui porte tille gouttière 167 dans laquelle tombe la canette;
On notera que l'épuisement (l'une seule des canettes entraîne le changement simultané de toutes les canette, car cette méthode est la plus économique. En effet, pour augmenter la vitesse de fonetionnemei)t et donc le rendement du métier, on doit éviter ait maximum les interruptions dans le tissage;
Le dispositif de coupe (fig. 36 et 37 i consiste en Lui chariot. 118 pouvant se dépla cer transversalement par rapport au tissu sur deux rails 119. Le chariot. est guidé par des galets 119a. portés par un essieu 119b. Il porte un moteur électrique 1?0 fixé à un socle 120a relié au chariot. 118 par des bou lons 1.20b;

Fig. 34 is an elevation partially in section of the right end of the. fig. 33. FIG. 35 shows, in elevation, a transmission mechanism shown in plan (Fig. 32).
Figs. 36 and 37 show, respectively in cross section and side elevation, a mechanism for cutting the finished tissue.
If we first refer to figs. 1 and 2, as well as in Figs. 24, 25 and 30. it can be seen in FIG. 1 the lower frame which consists essentially of six irons in I. 1, equidistant and arranged according to the radii of a circle, before the center 150 of the loom. On each of the irons and towards their outer end is mounted a sheet metal sector 2. These sheet metal sectors constitute the fixed part of a walkway.
In the six intervals between the sectors are placed beam door carriages 4 (fi <g. 1 and \?) Of which only five are shown in FIG. 7. These can move radially on rails 3, thus allowing (freeing it from the passages giving access to the interior of said loom to repair any disturbance (wire breakage, etc.).
These carriages, built in diced profiles, support, at their end located towards the center of the loom, beams 8 on which are wound (the warp threads 26; they are lined at their upper part with a -1 # sheet (r which comes to level with the plates of the sectors \ ?, ensuring the continuity of the path (the round one; finally, the plates 2 and the carriages -1 are bordered on the outside by a guide member consisting of a tube 5.
Two stepladders 6 (fig. 2), which are used to polish the monitoring of the shuttle, the devices for changing the bobbin and the rolling of the canvas, roll on the platform as well. constituted and are guided on the tube 5 by two sights 7 fixed to each esca beau by a fitting 151 and which, by bearing on either side of the tube 5, prevent any tilting.
A carriage -1 is also visible in fig. 2-1, and. a stepladder 6 in FIG. 25. Each beam 8 is. constituted by a coil rotating around a fixed axis 152 (fig. 3). On each of the two cheeks 153 of the reel are mounted two drums 8 (z used for braking. The fixed axis 152 is secured in two bearings 24- (fig. 1, 3 and 211 carried by the carriage 4.
Braking of the beam is carried out as shown in fig. 3. The brake consists of a feeler roller 9 which follows the variation (the external diameter of the beam loaded with wire, a brake band with lining (the friction 10, an elbow lever 11 articulated). in 19 in -He fixed point of the frame and connected at 15 by a tie rod 154 to the band 10, of a spring.
traction 12 attached at 16 to lever 11 and at 17 to a lever 1.55 (r wedged on axis 18 (1st pull 155 of roller 9, and a tension adjustment device. This device consists of a lever 13 articulated at 13a to a fixed upright 156 integral with the frame of the housing, and to a screw 20 which is screwed into the lever 13 and the end of which 157 bears on the frame.
The brake band 10 is spun at the lever 13 by a cooperating hook 14. with a l4a of lever 1.3; spring 1.? is always tense. The rod 1.55 of the feeler 9 is articulated at 18 to the frame of the loom.
The feeler 9 follows the decrease in diameter of the beam following an unwinding of the wire; point 17 approaches point 16, thus reducing the deflection and - consequently, the force (the pull of the spring 12 on the lever 11; the latter sorrel slightly around (read point 19 by reducing the tension of the brake band 10 on the drum 8cr of the beam. This positive device, which opposes the unwinding of a constant resisting torque, makes it possible to maintain an invariable tension in the layer of the warp threads, whatever the state of the lining of the warp thread. beam.
In addition, the tension of the strip 10, and can be adjusted. consequently, tighten the warp threads more or less, by screwing. or by unscrewing the following screw 20, on the one hand, the number of the wire used in chain and, on the other hand, the chain count.
To remove the beam, we unscrew the screw. ''. 0, which decreases the tension of the strip 10 and was to tilt the lever 11 until its branch 158 strikes a fixed stop 21. We can then separate the hook 1-1 of lug 13 (r. Then, the rod 155 of feeler 9 is tilted around point 18.
This rod carries a lateral lug 22 which engages with the end 159 of an angled lever 23 articulated at 1.60 to the frame and, man # uvré by means of a pedal 25 provided with a return spring pel < I> 25a. Then unscrew screw 241r which hand holds 1a. superstring 24a against the bearing 24, and it is done. swing.
To reassemble the beam, it is brought on the bearings? 4 of the carriage .1; the suspensions 23c are folded back, which are immobilized by the screws 2.1b, and the brake band is hung up at 1.4, 1-la. Ergot? of the rod 1.55 of the feeler 9 still being hooked at 159,
it suffices to press the pedal 25 to release this rod and make the feeler resume his place on the beam. The tension of the brake band is then adjusted by means of the screw 20, as indicated above.
To the. output of the beam, the warp son 26 which are. still in the form of a flat sheet pass through a chain breaker device. This is formed as follows (Fig. 4) Each warp thread 26 passes over a first roll 27 and then through a hole 28a. pierced in a conductive strip 28 which it passes through, and finally on a second roller 29. The strips 28 are guided by spacers 28b, conductors and connected to a housing 32. When one of the wires breaks, the the thread 28 which it passes through falls on a conductive plate 30, isolated by a gasket 30a from the housing 32.
The blade 28 taking a position such as that shown schematically in dotted lines establishes contact between the plate 30 and the wall 32, through the parts 28b, which closes an electrical circuit represented as a whole by 31. The frame 32 forms a sort of box across the width of the layer of wires, and a 33 v compressed air duct opens at the base to drive out any sleeping bags that may have. tendency to settle on the plate 30 and prevent contact. slats 28 with this plate. Rollers 27 and 29 are. mounted on the box 32 by supports 27a., 29a.
The closing of the circuit 31, by the fall of a strip 28, triggers a known safety, warning or stop device 709.
After passing the second roller 29 of the chain breaker, the threads 26 must be routed to the harness and the comb. It is then necessary to transform the. flat sheet of warp threads in a cylindrical sheet of the same developed width, that is to say such that the threads remain equidistant from one another. So that these threads have no tendency to deviate laterally from the. ideal line, it is necessary that this line represents the phis short distance measured along the wire between the point.
starting point taken on the whole and the point of arrival on the eyelet and the beam that it crosses, or more exactly on the corresponding point of the inner circle of a toric bar 38 placed in the vicinity of the eyelets of the beams and before these (fig. 5 and 25).
Figure 5 shows schematically the action of a bar 34 which serves to transform the planar web of warp threads into an extended web. This bar has a curvature determined according to purely geometrical conditions and in the detail of which we will not enter here.
We will simply indicate that, if h, 7'1 ... are the lengths of the threads 26 between bar 29 and bar 3-l, and 12, @ '. @ ... the lengths of these threads between bar 34 and. bar 38, we must have: 11 + 12-l'1 + 1'2-1 "1 + 1" .- Cte. 3 this condition, the threads 26 will have no tendency to move, since 11 + 12 represents the minimum path of the considered thread.
This result is obtained in a snappy way: A double nut 35 is screwed onto two threaded rods in opposite directions: one, 35a, is fixed to the machine frame at 35b, the other, 37c, is set at. bar 34 in its middle.
This presses to. its ends on two spherical staves 36, and by acting. on the nut 35 the curvature of the bar 34 is modified, this q111 allows an adjustment.
The distribution of the warp yarns along a fictitious cylindrical surface produced beyond the. bar 38 is done, therefore in a purely geometric way and without any kind of constraint.
We're going now. briefly recall the principle of weaving, referring to. the fia. 6 and. supposing. that we use three shuttle-, shifted by 120.
The warp threads being distributed regularly over a ci-lindriqne surface, it is necessary to communicate to them in groups a back-and-forth movement which will allow the eroisure of the. frame.
Let .l, B and C be the respective origins known as the weaving of shuttles n, b and c (fig. 6).
The weaving circumference will be divided into three zones I, II, III, the direction of rotation of the cloths, being indicated by the arrow F. The weaving circumference is sttl> laid out according to @ i-- <ll, _1 < B> C , CB and. Corresponding BAl. to the three segments which correspond to the three zones 1, 1.1, III.
The three shuttles u, b, c, and the three corresponding picks are represented by three lines of a different nature.
The first strip of FIG. 6, marked 1/3, shows the position of the picks at the end of the first third of a turn, the second strip (2/3) at the end of the second third, and the third strip (3/3) at the end of the third third, that is to say at the end of the first round.
At the start, the shuttle dropped off its pick in zone I; shuttle b deposits its pick in zone III; shuttle c deposits its pick in zone II. This during the first third of the turn.
In the beginning. (in the second third of a turn, shuttle a. enters zone II, shuttle b enters zone 1, and shuttle c enters zone III, as shown diagrammatically in fig. 6.
By examining. band 3/3, we see. that the pick from A is the first complete pick on a turn: it will be there. pick N 1.
At the end of one turn, three equal lengths of pick have been deposited, and. we could admit that in third (the next round we will start immediately. the fourth, fifth, sixth, etc. picks. The fourth pick would then start in B, the eiquth in C, the sixth in .1, etc.
In doing so, in zone I, we would have the succession. 7.,?, 3, 4, etc. picks, but in zone III one would find pick 1 bordering with pick 5, and in zone II pick 2 bordering with. pick 6. It is therefore necessary, so that the weaving corresponds over its entire width pointed to the weave ratio, that the picks have. same origin and same end.
It follows (on this condition that at the end of the first turn, only the shuttle a will weave a new dui + e in the next point, the other shuttles ending. Their duitabe started: the shuttle b on the third (the complementary tour, the shuttle c on the thirds (the complementary tour.
In addition, these three shuttles deposit three well-defined picks which must form the same point which is specific to them, whatever the zones in which are located. these shuttles, and this for one turn of each of them counted (the common origin.
It is therefore understood that the son raised for a shuttle must be lowered for the next ship, and vice versa.
It is therefore necessary to cause the movement of the stringers or groups of stringers, so as to adapt it to the characteristics of the weave and to the path of the shuttles.
In the embodiment shown on the fib. 7 to 12, it is assumed that the trade uses three shuttles set at 120.
The number of stringers is equal to the number of warp threads. In what follows, it will be assumed that these threads are grouped into 180 groups c1c, 100 threads, and the control mechanism for these groups of threads will be described.
The movements of each group of heddles are produced by two cams 39 (fib. 7) and 40 (fig. 7 and 8) keyed by a key 37 on the control shaft 67 of the loom.
These cams, with internal paths 39a, 40a, control rollers 41 journaling around axes 41a fixed in slides 42, 42a which are apidated in openings 161 of the external part 48 of a casing . These slides maneuver. the groups of heddles 43 and 44 to which they are connected by a frame 45 (fib. 7 and 8).
The cams 39, 40 are reinforced by external ribs 39b, .10b (fig. 7).
The slides are distributed over the faces of a plate 46 (fiy. 7 and. 8), which makes two stages of 90 slides each, and they are guided in their horizontal movement by rings 46a which close guides 46b ( Fig. 7 and 8), themselves fixed radially on the plate 46 by parts 46c. The cams and the slides are housed in a housing formed of three elements 47, 48 and 49.
This casing is made as tight as possible by arranging the rings 50 around the shaft 67 and the felt strip torus 51 at the openings 161 of the passage of the slides.
A small gear pump 52 driven by a small electric motor 53 ensures the circulation of oil necessary for the correct lubrication of the system. This circulation takes place in the following manner: the pump and its motor are fixed under the casing 47 which serves as an oil reservoir. The casing 47 is connected to the pump by a short pipe 54. From the pump leaves a second pipe 54a which, passing outside between the slides, ends in a nozzle 181 passing through the cover 49 of the casing (fig. 7). ).
The oil supplied to this nozzle is poured into a circular groove 55 formed in the hub of the upper cam 40 and, from there, through holes 162 arranged in the hubs and on the faces of the cams, the oil is distributed between the slide stages to finally fall into the bottom of the housing 47.
It will be noted that, in this arrangement, the pump is constantly. in charge and that, consequently, no defusing is to be feared. The oil flow will be regulated by acting on the. engine speed 53.
The cams 39 and 40 being single path, their work can only be done in one direction. The realization of the rap pel movement is obtained by a device which will now be described with reference to FIG. 9, which constitutes the extension of FIG. 7 to the right.
In this figure, we see in section the positive return device connected to the beam 43, that of the. smooth 44 being shown in elevation. Each return device comprises a cylinder 56 in which another cylinder 57 slides. The latter cylinder is connected, on the one hand, to its inner end 57a, to the frame 45, and, on the other hand, to. a tension spring 58 itself hooked at 58a to the outer end of cylinder 56.
The energy required to move the stringers outward hard. loom relative to the shaft 67 is therefore provided by the springs 58, the cams 39 and 40 ensuring the movement. towards that tree. The operation of the system, which will be better understood by referring to fig. 8, is the following: We see on the. fig. 8 the shape of the cam 40 which corresponds to the upper stage of sliders 42.
Each shuttle being wedged facing a hollow 40c of the cam 40 (or one of the cam 39 which is identical to it), the wires move. outward as each shuttle passes. -lays as all the cams are wedged in the same way, the system as described. above would cause all the threads to move outward at the same time, making it impossible to weave.
To obtain displacement only (on certain groups of wires, it is necessary to lock the return system so as to withdraw it from the action of the spring 58. For this purpose, the cylinder 5 7 is blocked in its position. The innermost position, that is to say the position shown in Fig. 9. In the embodiment shown, the system is normally locked, and only the corresponding sliders are unlocked. son interested in the pick, according to the law indicated above.
Blocking can. be achieved (fig. 9) by a finger 59 engaging. in a hole 59a of cylinder 57 under the action of a spring. 59b. Finger. 59 can be withdrawn from the hole 59a under the action of a solenoid 65, of which it constitutes the core and which is. powered by 1.63 wires. We obtain. the lifting of a -cut of wires (uri wire out of two) by energizing the ninety solenoids 65 which actuate the corresponding fingers: i9.
The control system is constituted (fig. 11) by an endless band 60, perforated, composed of three parallel bands 11, 171,: 1h (one per shuttle). Each perforation 61 corresponds to the lifting of a group of threads, and there are two series of perforations 61 per strip. The tape 60 is wound on two drums 62 and 63 wedged on shafts 62a, 63a., And damaged by a transmission not shown in. from shaft 67. Drum 62 is made of metal.
Brooms in number equal to the product of the number of shuttles times the number of groups of threads (that is to say here 3 x 2 = 6) and arranged in pairs, each of which comprises a 61cr brush and a 64b brush (a per stage of slides), rub against the tape 60;
eliaque broom 61a corresponds to a shuttle and to the upper stage of slide -12; each brush 64b corresponds to the same shuttle and to the lower stage of the sliders -12a;
at each perforation 67, the brushes come into contact with the conductive drum 6'2 and cause. the setting in cir cuit. of the sixty corresponding electromagnets 65 (fig. 9, 11 and. 1'2), at a rate of. one in three per floor. Only one in three of the electromagnets 65 is energized by each group of two 6-l brushes (r or 6-lb. Since there are three shuttles.
The perforations 61 are. arranged so that a brush 61 (r and two brushes 611) (in the example chosen) are simultaneously in contact. with the roller 62. This means that if the broom connected to an electromagnet 65a of the upper stage establishes. the contact at a given moment, the halais corresponding to two electromagnets 65b of the lower stage will establish it at the same time.
But the electromagnets 65 are not really excited until each of the bosses of the cams 39 and 10 has passed over the corresponding rollers 41 (fig. 7Î. by means of a rotary distributor 66, which, (in the example shown, has ninety pads and three brushes (corresponding to the three shuttles and to the two floors).
It is seen in fig. 77, on which, for clarity, each group of thirty electromagnets; has been represented schematically by a circle, that the groups of electromagnets 65a and. 65b of each stage are connected so that each brush of the rotary contact. 66 closes a circuit of each stage when it touches the stud. comm mun corresponding 65c.
Of course, there are actually ninety 65th plots. one per couple of electromagnets. On the. fig. 12, there is schematically represented by a single circular arc 65a each group of thirty electromagnets (since each stage comprises ninety electromagnets and there are three shuttles), as well as a slide 42 on three. This figure also shows the three shuttles 7 2 rolling on the comb 108, the web of warp threads 26, and. the upper cam 40.
Finally, the connection between each group of thirty electromagnets 65 has been indicated. and, the corresponding brushes 64a. He. As a result of the foregoing, the contact of each brush 64 with a perforation 61 causes the opening (or closing) of the shed. As the three shuttles are set at 1'20, the crowd must open, by symmetry, to only 60-. The opening of each of the three crowds therefore begins 30 before the passage of each shuttle, the total closing taking place behind this same shuttle.
-Naturally, the perforated tape 60 and the switch 66 rotate in synchronism with the shaft 6 7 thanks to a drunk link not shown, and the tape 60 is stopped while the bobbin change lasts, in order to find the same duplication. In a variant, the blocking of the slides is obtained by means of a mechanism (fig. 1.0) comprising two balls 124 which, under the action of a cone 125 which separates them, engage in a circular groove 126 of the inner cylinder 57;
the cone 125, normally pushed by a spring 1.27 and a sleeve 127a, can be released by a solenoid 128 mounted at the end of each cylinder 56, whose core 128a is connected by a pin 128b with the sleeve 127a, and. which is fed by wires 163. The control of the electromagnets 128 is in this case done in a manner analogous to that of the electromagnets 65.
The shuttling becomes identical again for each shuttle when a number N of thirds of a turn has been made, equal to the lowest common multiple of the number of shuttles and of the number of picks constituting the weave ratio. The length of the tape 60 must therefore allow, at a minimum, the pointing of these N thirds of a turn. By way of example, in the case where three shuttles are used with an armor ratio equal to 2, the smallest common multiple N equals 3 X 2 = 6. Therefore at least six perforations are required in the use the length of ribbon 60.
This being the case, we will now indicate the way in which the delivery is carried out (the thread (the t rani e. The bobbin 68 is removably mounted in a shuttle 72 which rolls on the comb 1.08 and is guided by a plate. lateral 108th on which rollers roll 1.08b (fig. 13). The shuttle 72 has a tapered point 71 for the conduct of the wire (the trance. We see on the fi ,,. 13 that the weft thread 69 wound on the bobbin 68 first passes through a central tube 70 and then comes out.
towards the fixing ring 68c1, cumulates shown in fig. 14-; it then passes through shuttle tail bed 68b and east. placed at the back of the crowd by the tapered point 71.
In fig. 1.5, we see schematically, on a very enlarged scale, how. the weft thread 69 is deposited by the shuttle 7 2 in the shed opened by the. arrangement of a chain thread out of two on either side of the bar 108, according to the mechanism (l'otiver-. tune described previously.
31 is necessary to pass the thread 69 through the central tube 70 (fig. 1.1) using as -guide and as a reference to the guide tail the package of the bobbin: indeed, the change ment of bobbin would have. was made very diffi cult if the return had been constituted by a component permanently attached to the shuttle.
When the pick is deposited, the shed is closed after the passage of the shuttle, and. the i. they are all arranged along the inner edge 1.08a. comb 108. (right of fig. 15). The tail 71 of the shuttle which serves as a guide for the wire 69 must. therefore be deported to this side. It will be noted that the pick is removed when the warp threads are normally stretched, so that the risks of the thread breaking are relatively low.
On the left part of fig. 15, we see. the crowd open before. the passage of the shuttle, and. on the. right part, we see the crowd closed after the passage of the body 72 of the shuttle and during the passage of its tail 71 .. The shuttle drive device is. schematically represented on the fi <g. 16.
He must. allow at the same time to leave a free passage between the chain wire and the motor member, everything. by ensuring sufficiently effective dragging so that there is no risk of the boat unhooking, and this also when the force required is maximum, that is to say when starting or braking the loom.
The problem is solved in the following way - --aiste: on the central shaft 67 of the loom are arranged arms 7 3 in number equal to that of shuttles 72 and. regularly spaced (three in the example shown). Each of these arms carries at its end, facing the ship in question, two magnetic coils 74 and 75.
3; looking at these coils, the shuttle carries (the reinforcements 76 and 7 7, some of which, 77, are conductive but not magnetic (for example solid aluminum cry), while the others, 76 , are maggnetic and non-conductive (for example in laminated iron @.
The coils 74 and 75 are traversed by electrical pulses of very short duration, ù high voltage and high intensity, from (a generator 81. which sends the pulses to a fixed brush 7 8 against which rubs a rotating ring 79 to which are connected the circuits 80 supplying the coils 7-1 and 75. The second pole of the generator 81 is likewise connected to a second rotating ring 79a .. The generator is of a known type, used in especially in radar installations.
Its operation consists in stripping a capacitor under a voltage of the order of. 2000 volts and. at. unload it in a solenoid. The pulses result in a fine, purely magnetic attraction on the magnetic armature 76 and. a repulsion on the non-magnetic armature 7 7 by indiie- t.ion of Foueault currents.
Each shuttle 72 is. therefore, to. that time. attracted and repelled. By disposing. suitably the coils and the reinforcements as iis- dicated below, the shuttle is not subjected to any radial force, but only to. the tangential resultant of the forces of attraction and repulsion, and it moves on its way (the bearing is located by the comb 108.
On the other hand, since the sy steine produces two directly opposite tangential resultants, the shuttle is in some way elastically linked to the end of the corresponding arm.
The end. 76a and. 16b show the dewlap of which the magnetic device acts: In position. of rest (fig. 16a), the magnetic centers 75a and 75b of the magnetic coils 75 are arranged symmetrically with respect to the magnetic centers 77a. and 77b of non-magnetic masses 77, and 76a. of the magnetic mass 76.
The acting forces are R1 and R2, repulsive forces which break down into 1'l and r * 2, radial forces, and v1 and 2.2 tangential forces; .11 and 32 attractive forces decomposing in the same way in al and a2 and b1 and b2.
At this moment, if we denote by r the sums of the forces, oit a: r (vl, t12 + bl, b2) .--- 0 the ar tin suitable choice of the respective positions of the magnetic centers, we can also obtain :
+ a-i @ a2) = 0 ] ,, il operating position (fi-. 16b), the magnetic coils are offset, relative. has been driven, in the direction of movement, since, by inertia, the shuttle tends to stay behind the rotating arm (it moves in the direction of arrow F.
binds ratio between the distances of the magnetic centers gives: + b'1, b'2) Ji: 0 - IV lotit keeping (yin i "2 + W1, (Y 2) = 0 Of course, we arrange so that the direction of the resulting force Il 'is the same as that of the displacement of the arm 73,
that is to say the arrow F (fig. 16b). As a result, the shuttle 72 is entered in the same direction as the arm 73.
When the supply of thread contained in a bobbin is exhausted, it is necessary to reload the. shuttle bus. We will now describe an apparatus that com takes said embodiment of the trade for the automatic replacement of a net empty box by a full can.
The bobbin change (see fig. 17 to? \ ', 24 and. 30) takes place in four stages: loading the bobbin 68, starting.
a barrel 82 located above the comb 108, on a bobbin holder arm 96; movement of the bobbin holder arm in order to remove the latter from the shuttle 72; taken on passage by the shuttle of the full net 68 and abandonment of the empty can 68r; evacuation of the. empty can.
The barrel 82, containing twelve cans 68 (Figs. 24 and 30), rotates. around a shaft 82a and is integral with a ratchet 82b (fig. 18). It pivots a twelfth of a turn under the action of a pawl 83 engaged with the ratchet 82b and pivoted at 83b to a 83rd plate having a toothed sector 83d. The latter grène with a sector 83a pivoted at 83rd to the frame 186 of the loom and subjected to the action of a cam 81a and. to, that of a return spring 84b anchored, also, to the frame 186. The shaft 84 is moved by the special motor 170 (fig. 19 and 30).
During the rotation of the barrel 82, two fixed jaws 85, 85a, constantly rubbing on a disc 86, integral with the barrel, cou pent the thread 69 of the bobbin (fiâ. 17, 19 and 21). The pressure of the jaws against the two faces of the disc 86 is given by a spring 166 (FIG. 21).
A hammer 87 (fig. 17, 19 and 20) then comes into action to drive out the can 68 and place it on a carriage. This hammer has a jaw 87, a. of shape adapted to that of the bobbin 68 (fig. 20), and it pivots about an axis 87b under the action of a cam 1.87 wedged on the shaft 84 (fig. 17 and '0).
The cart that receives the. bobbin 68 consists of a hollow piston 89 (fig. 19 and. 19a) which carries the gutter 167 in which the bobbin falls;
the piston 89 slides on a rod 188 under the action of a hydraulic control effected by sending, from a distributor 88, a pressurized fluid in one or the other of two pipes 88a, 88b, the arrival of said fluid has distributor and the departure of this distributor being via pipes 88c, 88d.
The movement of udder 89 has the effect. to thread the bobbin 68 by its central tube 70 on the. rod 90 of a loader mounted on a body 96 which will be. described later (fig. 19a,).
At the same time, the net empty box 68a .. left in passing by the preceding na- rette on the second point 90a of the loader is pushed by a polisher 89a integral with a second carriage 189 which slides on a rod 190 under the action. a hydraulic control 1.91, 191a also connected to the distributor 88 and working \ in sync with the control 88a ,,
88b. The empty net 68a then falls onto an inline plane 133 which evacuates it. The rod 90a. is mounted flexible on a spring 90b (fig. 19).
To the. end of movement. of the piston 89, a wire-holder hook 91 (fig. 19, 22 and 24), rotating around an axis 9la and, held in high position by a spring. torsion 92 (fig. 22 and. 24), is lowered under the action of a cable 93 (fig. 19 and. 22) controlled by a lever 94 itself actuated by a cam 9: 5 wedged on the 'shaft 84 (fig. 19 and 22).
The weft thread 69, the end of which leaves the full bobbin through its central tube 70 and is fixed at a point of the barrel 82, is taken according to the principle of the knitting hook and is brought upwards, which presents vertically the wire starting from the. bobbin on the path of the shuttle and allows which 71 of the latter to take it in passing.
On the other hand, the body 96 slides on two cylindrical guides 97 under the action of an invisible piston moving in a pneumatic cylinder 98 (FIG. 19) and to which the pressurized fluid is supplied by one oii the other of two pipes 98a., 98b, from a distributor 99 itself supplied with compressed air by a pipe 99a,
the fluid escaping at 99b. The admission of the compressed air on one or the other face of the moving piston into the cylinder 98, controlled by the distributor 99, is. ordered from the shuttle when a can is empty. There is synchronism between the control of the body 96 and that of the barrel 8 '': when the barrel rotates and the hammer 8 7 places a net ca 68 on the. trolley 167 gutter. 89, the body 96 is in its most position. away from the center of the trade, and the client in the. shuttle is free.
When the carriage movement. 89 put on the. bobbin 68 On the expander 90 carried by the body 96, the latter is pushed towards the inside of said loom so as to present the bobbin 68 on the path of the shuttle 72.
It should be noted that exhaustion (only one of the cans leads to the simultaneous change of all the cans, because this method is the most economical. Indeed, to increase the operating speed) t and therefore the yield of the loom, we must to avoid as much as possible interruptions in the weaving;
despite the. the rapidity with which the automatic bobbin change takes place, this operation repeated a very large number of times would reduce the so-called trade yield.
Control of the amount of weft thread remaining on a bobbin is ensured. by read positive security of a known type.
When the body 96 is in its extreme forward position (Fig. 19), a full net is found in the path of each shuttle 72.
Thread 69 being presented. vertically, the empty bobbin 68a fits onto the guide 90 (c and gives it a shock which is transmitted to the full bobbin; the latter therefore receives a significant part of the energy supplied by the sudden stopping of the empty bobbin: this energy helps to start the full bobbin and makes it easier to pick up on the shuttle where it is fixed (the one way seini-rilgide by Lille pincer 100 (fig. 1 3 and 19).
Thread 69 is taken and @ guided by the shuttle tail there. The loading body 96 then returns back with the. empty bobbin 68 (r, and the cycle begins again. The changing of the bobbins takes place on one revolution of the main shaft 67; during this period, the advance of the fabric is stopped by actuation of a clutch. claws 101 (fia. 23, 30, 32 and 33) acting on the fabric feed rollers and controlled by titi electromagnet 102 (end 23).
The location will be described below. exact and the role (the clutch 101 .. The electromagnet whose outer casing can be seen at 102 is energized intermittently, at the desired moment, by a rotating contact. L armature 102a (this electromagnet is then attracted in the direction of arrow 102b. The armature is attached at 171 to a lever 172 subjected to the action of a return spring 172a. The lever 172, in pivoting around a fixed point 173,
driven by a fork not visible in fig. 23 the movable part 101.b of the clutch and releases it from the part 101n which is fixed. Each shuttle enters the crowd again where it left it, so that no anomaly occurs in the duitane. It follows from the above (read the fabric is in the form of a cylinder 192 (end. 26) whose diameter is equal to the average diameter of the comb.
This shape is ensured by the fact that each pick is placed between two concentric tori 7.03a "103b (fig. 24 to 28). The outer torus 103b is fixed by brackets 1.83 to the columns 182 which support the upper frame of the loom, and the inner torus 103a is fixed to a frame 184 supported by the shaft 67 by means of ball bearings 185.
The pick-breaking device is shown in more detail in the fi g. 26 to 29. After the shuttle has passed, it is a matter of tamping down the thread (the weft at the bottom of the shed. The role of this device is. Therefore the same as that of the beating comb. Of a loom. to weave straight.
It takes the form of a multiple comb composed of 180 independent elements and having 180n extensions directed downwards (fia. \ 36 and 28) on which it comes. remove the weft thread 69 (end. 28 ) . These elements are fixed to the inner torus 103a. in the slots 174 of a crown 175., they are articulated around an axis 176 and constantly recalled in the position shown in solid lines on the fia. 28 by springs 177.
It is. in this position they receive the thread. weft deposited by the tail 71. of the shuttle. The raising of the weft thread is carried out as follows: On the central shaft 67 are wedged six arms (fig. 27) of which three, 73, already mentioned, carry the magnetic coils 74, 75, and three others, 178, carry wheels 179 which roll on the path formed by the set of extensions 180a of the rocking elements, s 180. These wheels are at a distance from the axis 67 such that they these pieces crumple despite the action of the springs 177, causing them to oscillate around the axis 176. In this movement, they lift the weft thread 69 and.
bring it to the bottom of the shed opening when they are in the position shown in dotted lines in FIG. 28.
Naturally, the arms carrying the wheels 179 are angularly wedged with respect to the cams 39, 40, so that the lifting of the weft yarn is caused when the warp yarns are crossed.
It should be noted that the 180 pieces never leave the warp threads. This maintains a correct distribution of the son between the teeth 180b formed by said parts.
It is also possible to group several teeth on the same element by constituting. thus a kind of fork, this being interesting in the case of a relatively large number of warp threads.
To transform the fabric cylinder 192 into a flat web without the warp threads going through different paths, which would produce deformations, an intermediate left surface is used, while doing so. not ser this fabric cylinder, after the passage between the tori 103a, 103b, on tune bar 10.1 (end. 24, 25 and 30 to. 32), of geometric profile similar to that of the wire-holder bar 34 of the. fi-. 5 which transforms the flat sheet of warp threads wound on their beam into a fragment of a cylindrical surface.
In fig. 25 and 30-31, it is seen that the finished fabric 192, shown in phantom, passes out. of the bar 104, and before being cut, between two upper 105 and lower 106 rollers (fig. 25 and 30 to. 34).
Roller 105 has bearings 105a movable in slides 105b (fig. 32 and. 34), which enables the spacing of rollers 10.5 and 106 to be adjusted, with roller 106 having fixed bearings 106a. The displacement of the bearings 105a. is provided by an oil pressure arriving at 107 at each end of the group of rollers and acting against the action of two antagonistic spells 107a (fig. 34).
Speed. of rotation of the rollers 105 and 1.06 controlling the advance of the fabric and, by moth, the weft count, is controlled at the mov in of a speed variator 110 to. positive control (fig. 24, 30, 32 and 35), taking its movement on the main shaft 67 of the loom by means of two conical pairs 111, 11l ', a vertical shaft 111e and two shafts horizontal 111a and. 111b.
The pairs 111, 111 'connect. two to. two trees 111a, 111b and 111c, and. a third bevel pair 67a connects the shaft 111a and the shaft 67 (fin. 30, 32, 33 and 35). A worm gearbox 112 (fin-. 23 and 30-33) and a gear system shown at 1332 (fig. 30-32) transmit. movement to rollers 105 and 106 (fig. 32).
Between the speed controller 110 and. the reduction gear 112 is arranged at the clutch. claws 101. which we already have. spoken (fig. 23, 30, 32 and 33), so that when this clutch is disengaged, the movement of the rollers 105 and 106 and, consequently, the advance of the canvas, are. stopped.
To the. exiting the rollers 105 and 106, the fabric passes over a roll 142 and is wound, in double thickness, on a beam 1.14 (fig. 30 to 32a.). This beam rotates under the action of a chain or belt transmission 115 controlled from the roller 105.
The pinion 116 (fis. 32 and 32a) is fixed by a pin 116b to the plate of a clutch 116a, while the beam 114 is mounted loose on the shaft of a 130u plate ; the latter is driven by friction by means of the shaft 198 from said fixed plate 199 of the enibravage. The drive of the plate 199 by the plate 116 (e, is realized by a friction disc 200.
The pressure on this disc is. provided by a spring 201 which is supported on a lock nut 20 '?. The shaft 198 is journaled in a bearing 203 fixed on a spar '? 04 called frame, which also supports the various rollers 105, 106 and 142 (fig. 24, 30 and 32 to 34). It is therefore possible to achieve the gradual slowing down of the flexible as the fabric is wound up, while keeping the latter taut.
The beam 114 is. fixed between two plates 130 and 130a, one of which, 130a, is. fixed and the other, 1.30, carries a groove 123 clans which is engaged a fork 123a. of a lever 195 articulated in 196 and subjected to the action of a spring 197. A ti-e 131 maneuvered at the. hand is supported in 131a on the lever 195 and allows moving the movable plate 130 away from the beam 114 or to bring it closer (Fig. 30 and. 32).
Change. beam can therefore be operated without it being necessary to stop the trade: -; is worth. to pass on the drum 1-12 and. to wind up on the beam 114, the fabric passes over a table 117 where it can be cut (fig. 25).
The cutting device (fig. 36 and 37 i consists of a carriage 118 which can be moved transversely to the fabric on two rails 119. The carriage is guided by rollers 119a carried by an axle 119b. electric motor 10 fixed to a base 120a connected to the carriage 118 by bolts 1.20b;
on the axis of this engine are wedged, on both sides. and antrum of the motor, a circular knife 121 and a friction pulley 122 which ensures the movement of the carriage 1.18 on the rails 119 by its contact with the wheel groin 122u wedged on the axle 1191). At each end of travel, a switch 129 pushed by the carriage 118 ensures the reversal of the motor 1? O for the following cutting operation.
