Description

  

  Verfahren zur Herstellung eines     alkalilöslichen    Kondensationsproduktes.    Gegenstand des vorliegenden Zusatzpaten  tes ist ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines       alkalilöslichen    Kondensationsproduktes, da  durch gekennzeichnet, dass man     3,5-Dichlor-          methyl-2-oxybenzoesäure    mit technischem       Dodecylalkohol    kondensiert.  



  Das neue Kondensationsprodukt, die     3,5-          Di-(dodecyloxymethyl)-2-oxybenzoesäure,    bil  det als     Natriumsalz    ein helles, in Wasser  lösliches Pulver und ist zur Verwendung als       Weichmachungsmittel    geeignet.

      <I>Beispiel:</I>    37,5 Teile     techn.        Dodecylalkohol    und  23,5 Teile     3,5-Dichl.ormethyl-2-oxybenzoe-          säure    100      /oig    werden in 150 Teilen Chlor  benzol gelöst und über Nacht bei 100-120 o C  kondensiert.     Dann        befreit    man die Lösung    durch Filtrieren von Verunreinigungen und       destilliert    das Chlorbenzol im Vakuum ab.  Der halbfeste Rückstand     wird    mehrmals- mit  heissem Wasser ausgewaschen, mit Natron  lauge zum     Natronsalz    gelöst und die Lösung  eingedampft. Man erhält ein helles Pulver.

Das neue Kondensationsprodukt, die 3,5-Di-(dodecyloxymethyl)-2-oxybenzoe- säure, bildet als Natriumsalz ein helles, in Wasser lösliches Pulver und ist zur Verwen dung als Weichmachungsmittel geeignet.
